can you beleive in vampires but also have doubts of there true exisentance???

this is some thin that i have wondered for a while,, i do beleive there are vampires but then not to have seen one brings on doubts... any one else feel this way ??

Perhaps you might want to clarify if you refer to the "Undead, imortal" Vampires of legend or modern day human individuals who gain energy from the drinking of blood or taking of energy.

I think the first is just a fictional creation, the secon type exist and i know people who lead this life path.

I think the hollywood version of vampires do not exist, but for us who feel we are vampires, werwolves, we do exist the living ones. not to be believe is not to agree that we might be here. turn your head away and never realize another faction of life may exist beyond the norm.

I think that the vampires of holly wood fantasy (such as the ones who are immortal and have super strength) are fake, but I believe in the maodern day vampire.

im still trying to learn all of this Vampire stuff. I think you have to do a lot of research and be open minded, and not let hollywood block things

hollywood vamps are not real. but as for modern vamps yes they do exist and yes they are real. i myself am not one but do know a few.

the "movie" vampire does not exhist.. people that lead the lifestyle do.

As for me, the "Hollywood" version of the vampire is wonderful fantasy but the "modern day" version of the vampire, someone who drinks blood and drains energy from others are definitely real...

I don't believe in the Hollywood, stereotype vampires, but I do think vampires are real.

I personaly cannot say that vampires of myth are not real, but i do belive in the vampire lifestyle...

Some days I question myself but then I mean...there's bound to be Vampires out there. Or atleast there used to. Because how did the legends and stories begin? There must have been something that caused them. Nobody could have made them up. So I definately believe there r Vampires.

Those who crave and need blood to feel its power are real and dont confuse fiction and non fiction with concern to the blood lust.

Really there was a real Dracula but he was as human as us now only people beleived different because he had a forest full of dead people.....that he killed and tied to trees n stuff

Much like hisdarkestdream states, I do believe in the reasoning with legends. If not vampires, then something else entirely could have sparked these stories. I am sure that something is no longer around, lurking in dark alleyways. All that is left is the vestigial urge to be like the legends, voluntary or involuntary.

i think people look at the legend and folklore of the vampire and add it to their own lifestye.

Well, I think we can all rule out the theory of hollywood vampires. If they were real, I think the media would have at least printed one copy of a vampire burned to dust in the daylight. However, I do believe in the modern day vampire. As I'm sure we all do.

There vampirism , but not vampires . It's all myth . When I see one then i'll believe it . In my line of work I 've neer seen any living vampires . I've have seen alot of bodies with rigamorous , In my line of work of being a mortician at my own mortchurary buisness.

Ive drained over 3000 bodies and I've never seen a body come back to life after rigamorious sets in .

To label yourself just a vampire is as one saying they are christian these days. Somewhere both have seemed to have lost true merit in society. The type of vampire one may be varries but they are real and do exist. To vamp is to change. to express ones soul. everything vampiric is not a corpse rising from the dead. I ask what was Jesus if you believe he "Rose again". And of Lazerus? History tells story after story of life after death in the same body but I don't believe all vampires are the walking dead,nor do I believe the soul stays with the body.

I don't necessarily believe in the mythical vampire, but I don't doubt it's existence though, I mean sure Hollywood vampires should not exist, but I guess you can make of this world what you wish and create what you will, and perhaps if you feel that an ,immortal creature of immeasurable beauty that just so happens to consume the blood of humans to remain alive, is a real thing, then why argue with it.

Im sure that Hollywood has made vampires seem like they could never exsist. And no, not the way that they are portrayed. They do exsist, those who feed on energies of others, and that gain energy from drinking blood. Just not all fancy like Hollywood. Too bad though, huh? I sure would like to fly around at night. lol.

I beleive that, the "ideal" vampire image, does not exist. But people who need the energy/life force of others does. It does not necassarily make them...the "hollywood type" just maybe....another evolved, or more in tune type of human??? Just a thought.

You can believe in whatever you want in life, but to actually KNOW that it is true or not, that is up to YOU to investigate and find out for yourself. Don't take someone else's word for it.

It is also extremely common for vampires to be in denial, at least the hollywood type. "I have never seen your God" was a close quote from one movie. Yet talk to a Christian and they believe there is a God. Will you ever find proof? Not the proof you are asking for. You will have to come to an understanding of what you are looking for and separate the facts from fictions. The facts being what you believe and have seen and the fictions being what the TV and others tell you.

vampires as in the movies no.. but there are modern day vampires.. there are a lot living this life style its hard to have a clear deffinition as to what a modern day vampire is .. as so many see it in diffrent ways

I wouldn't just write off vampires as saying they don't exist. Many people believe in gods, faiths, that they have never seen before... So just because we have not seen something with our own two eyes it means that it doesn't exist?? I don't know about that... Most people do not even realize how much they can NOT see with their own two eyes. One must have the keen sense in order to see it.

The difference between original vampires and modern vampires is quite significant. The vampiric lifestyle, that is of modern days, is definitely real and most certainly followed. I happen to be one.

But as far as your questing regards, I think it's plausible to believe in Vampires but still question their existance. Many Christians (curse them to Hell) have faith in God, but still question his existance. (For good reason, for he doesn't exist.)
So yes, I think it's quite natural.

As with heaven and hell, myths are beliefs that one does not need see constantly in order to believe, and it is normal to have some sense of scepticism otherwise we would be nothing more than sheep.

Well since there is so much blasphemy out there on our its hard beleive unless one sees , but i have nmo doubts about the existence of kin like me

do not believe all that you read, vampires of legend are far from the truth. for us true creatures, we aren't like those of lore, we do not die instantly from sunlight, at the most it would take 5 hours until we burned to a crisp. But no one is that stupid. We do not live forever, only slightly longer than humans. and we most definitely don,t kill when we feed!!!

I definately believe in Vampires. Sometimes it's hard to but I do. I don't know if I believe in the Garlic and Crucifix and stuff but yes I believe and it's ok to have doubts as well.

It is my belief that there individuals who live a life that they consider themselves to be vampires. but as in the movies or fiction of legends there are no such thing.

We can believe in them & we can believe that they did exist once, but as for existing now...I dont really know...you dont hear about dead bodies turned up with their blood drained or stories that resemble traits of vampires, altho the wide spead of vampire lovers/fans may have caused them to go into hiding, but you get what im saying here!?

i think the current day existence of real vampires is quite rare but modern day vampires are more of an abundance in current day life and take on the personifications of ancient vampires.i think being a Vampire in the current day is more of a mind set than anything else.

I don't doubt if vampires are real. I know that they are real. I have friends that are vampires. The people that only have known the "hollywood" version of vampires, are the ones that doubt if they are real. Those people only need to do a little more reasearch and they will realize that they do exist. Then they will doubt no more.

This is only my theory/ ideal. Everybody has their own thoughts on this subject.

I am much like juggz, its one thing online for someone to say they are a vampire and another thing to actually meet them and get to know them. These days many people protray one thing online and are another thing in real life.

If you believe in vampires and at the same time have doubts about their existence then really you don't believe as you have two conflicting theories. I myself believe that vampires are possible but like most not what/how they are portrayed in movies

Honestly you may have seen or even known a Vampire and not even known it as we live our lives like anyone else does . We blend in to society as a whole . We hold jobs go to events just as normal people would. I dont think you'll ever see what Hollywood portrays as a Vamp.. Its just a gimic that sells and sells well ..

As many have said, The exsistence of film based vampires is truely fictional. However vampires that drink blood and feed of energy etc, are real. as many people do lead that life style.

for hollywood vampires did anyone ever stop to think those movies were made by vampires who believe we need not be shown to the public

modern day vampires not the older ones but younger ones are hot headed and want to be known

where as the older and much more stable vampire just hides in the shadows not allowing them to be known

so alot of times what people see are those vampire who are pretty much babies

though a few young ones have shown potential to be great vampires in the society

We vampyr tend to want to not be in the limelight

and yes normal people tend to shy away from whats in front of their eyes you may have seen a vampire walking in a bowling alley or reading a newspaper on a park bench most likely you would not know

some signs of a vampire for you to look for


obviously a harshness to tan
when they are going around places like malls hospitals cemetaries those people tend to not act like a standard person who goes to these places if a mall they sit around mostly and just watch everyone

if a hospital usually not one whos happy or sad but just out of place cemetaries well enough said


another sign is they randomly become fatigued for no reason and moments later another becomes fatigued and they seem hyper compared to what they were


a weriness of being next to someone or getting close to a person but you dont know why they could be the nicest person and you trust them but you wont get close to them

those are jut a few signs of vampirism that most people miss

I think you can believe to a point but be slightly pessimistic about if they are really there or true.
