I have heard some stories of where people use Quija Boards and experience some strange things.
My mother once used the board with a friend of hers. They asked where the spirit was located in the room, and it replied that it was sitting in the rocking chair next to them. My mom tried to make the chair rock back and forth, but couldn't even budge it.
A friend of mine witnessed a group of people using the board as well. There was a skeptic in the room with them and said something that angered the spirit in the room with them. An object in the room flew at him without warning and knocked him into a coma for a week. To this day, this person still believes that one of his friends did it to him.
I am curious what other people may have had happen to them. Good or bad.
I don't use them for the fact that from my experience its just to much to put back what you brought out in the first place.
i used to have one given to me by my late uncle who was a professional medium
my mum found it and smashed it into peices as she was afraid of what i might do on it :)
wish i still had one
I have seen them at Wal-Mart, some glow-in-the-dark nonsense, no idea how much though if you were interested in getting one. Sorry to hear that yours got destroyed.
Personally, I just don't really think its a game to be messing around with. It gets serious and everyone just stares around like its all cool when they could be letting out something they can't control.
I met a girl once who thought she could control spirits through necromancy. Bad things started happening. Even though she didn't really have the right tools whatever she did pissed the spirit off and I had to go and fix it.
Even though thats different from a spirit board, I just don't think its wise to be summoning spirits from the dead because they cannot be safely sent back to where they came from. With the spirit board, weither or not your meaning to you are summoning them in some way which can get out of hand.
But...thats just my opinion.
Those things scare the crap out of me... With all the weird stories I've heard.... With my luck I'd open the porthole from hell and my grandmother would come back to haunt me and I would spend the rest of my life hearing her guilt trips from the otherside......
NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My next trip to Wal-Mart will just be for tolet paper thank you!!
Lol, you got the right idea Nips. :P
I live in a town where alot of people gather around on halloween just to do this kinda stuff. Alot of spirits here are unrested and there is an extreme amount of spiritual activity where I live. People tend to bring up things they shouldn't because they can't leave well enough alone!
I do remember using one when I was young. I was using it with my mom. we asked it general questions like it's name and whatnot, but nothing happened otherwise that would have led me to believe that I was going to get hurt. Whatever happened to the board, I have no idea because I haven't seen it since then.
I'm not sure why, but when I ask my mom about it, she just says to forget about it and not to mess with them. Something happened and she won't explain why. Oh well.
Theres alot of things with them that just get way to creepy. It can get to the point where someone is in physical danger. Something probably happened and your mom probably doesn't want to remember. I don't ever get involved with spirit boards because they do tend to draw in negative entities and it just gets way to creepy from there to talk about.
The one thing I have to say is that its not a game and you should never think of it as one. So its not that I'm being a bitch or anything, its just I know what I'm talking about and I don't really think its a good idea to mess with them.
Extreme caution must be taken whilst using these boards, they are not a toy.
They CAN and DO envoke negativity. These boards must by used ONLY with a fully experienced person. And one must protect oneself spiritually.
I have had a bad experience using this board, with 4 other witnesses.
We were young and stupid and I learned by my mistake.
I pass on my experience as wisdom, in hope that others don't go down the stupid route I did.
Some are not so lucky to escape lightly. I believe that shit is real, because I have seen it, felt it, heard it with witnesses.
IF you experience this Board with an experienced person, then it CAN be a great experience.
It's isn't cool to fuck about with channels to open up the negative energies.
I do have my doubts of it actually working. Used and thus far haven't noticed anything. Perhaps those ghosts and spirits don't like me.
personaly i dont think much of it , it it was a real hand carved one i would use it, but if it says parker brothers on it, its not worth the paper its printed on
Some years ago my friend and I set out to discover if discarnate Spirits could/would communicate via this method.
We were not afraid, as we felt any experiment backed by motive which was good, would not hurt us.
We said a simple prayer then started.
There were only the two of us but the glass move very quickly and spelt out that we were in touch with someone who said he was unhappy and needed help.
Young we may have been, foolish we were not.
We simply asked if he would like us to pray for help for him.
He said yes and we did so.
My friend wished to go further to see what else would happen, but I closed it down, the experiment was proven to us, there was no further need.
I have heard horror stories regarding this method and can quite believe them to be true.
So I would say, think why you want to do it before you do it.
I was indeed curious to hear the opinions of others who have used these boards and my conclusion is exactly what I predicted. They definitely are not toys in any way shape or form and any who try to speak to the dead in this way need to be careful. I also wanted to clarify that I don't even have a board and I don't actively try to talk to the dead. I was mostly interested in hearing about others' experiences and their opinions on how real these boards are.
I have used a Ouija board on several occasions, but not in the last 10 or so years.
However....when me and friends have used one we didn't have that much success although the glass did move on its own accord
I say.. Don't mess with these things. I've heard of nothing but bad comming from them. One good point to be made is. You have no hard proof of what you are really dealing with. It may not be a spirit at all. Think long and hard before trying to get involved in something like this. Just an oppinion.
i dont go near them. in my view its foolish since you never know what/who you are really talking to.
i belive most of the ouija board stories are true i have stories from old germany to the states and find that people will always try to contact the dead it is in our nature to be curious as humans.
As a child, about 12 years old, myself and a couple of friends played on a ouija board a couple of times. Nothing happened the first time and I also had figured one of my friends had been pushing the arrow around on the board because his fingertips were always white. You only need to rest your fingertips on the arrow, not use any kind of force.
The second time however, it was just myself and a female friend that was there the first time. A very strange experience. At one time I could hear different sounds throughout the house, like a door being closed or opened (we were the only ones in the house at the time). Another time during this process, there was a knock on the door, but no one was there. And then right before we were done playing with the ouija board (I remember the spirit we were having a conversation with didn't want us to stop playing) the phone rang, but no one would answer my hello.
Now, it is possible that someone could've been playing games on us while we were playing the ouija, knocking on the door and calling the house, but I still can't logically explain the creaks throughout the house as if a door was opening and closing. These weren't little creaks, they were loud and clear and like I said before, we were the only ones in the House, I know this because I've had a bad habit of locking doors after I come home, even today.
That was the last time I played on a ouija board. I never heard any creaks in that house after that and my friend promised me that she had nothing to do with someone trying to play a prank and knocking on the door or making a phone call either.
I think for this christmas, im going to donate 7 of them to the local church, after I bless them all to contact one of the 7 spheres of hell......
Other then that, evil santa xmas tree topper....turned the fire green with thick black smoke when the little burned....sad he had to go, but he wasn't mine....
When you get it, cut a little sliver on your finger, allowing about three drops of blood to fall on it, preferably in the center....
say in a clear voice:
EGO ADVOCARE TU ANIMUS INFERNALIS
I have one, but I do not use it because I have heard that they are not only a means of communicating with the dead, but they are also a portal, that brings the spirit here. I have also heard that if the spirit doesn't leave and you destroy the ouija board then there is no way for it to leave, it is stuck here.
I don't touch Ouija Boards any more. And If some one enters a room with one I leave .I do not think that any one is controlling the orical but you never know. In my experiences the orical movied on it's own and one time It flew off of the board.I do not recomend that you play with one by your self I have never been possessed as most people say happens when you do.But like every one who cared to share their stories I to have some but It's more for a journal.
There's a reason it's sold in the board games section of the store...It's a game. But like anything else (hmm...V:tM comes to mind here) it can become a focus for the mind which can achieve far greater results, for good or ill, than the manufacturer intended. I've seen people really tap into psychic potential using one of these boards and tell all their friends' secrets that way. Pretty cool! I've also seen it used as a genuine tool to contact spirits. But like any opther method of Summoning, use caution! And a protective Circle...or you may get more than you bargained for. Or, you could just ahve a bunch of kids moving the cursor around to spell out what they think you want to ehar. *heh*
The Ouija board has been around before parker brothers made a killing on it in the early 70's I think thats when they first started mass produceing it.And I am not sure when the earlest record of the board started to apear but In some occult stores they sell boards over 200 years old so.I am glad you think it's a game parhaps maybe you should try it?Not every one has bad experiences with it.
quija boards are kool to a point... i dont feel they should be used just to be played with and laughed at....sometimes they`ll work and sometimes they will not its always good to use candles, insence ect so you can have more of a focused power on things
I have been advised to use one but I'm not sure if I should....
My friend, Jonathan, had one and he & his two cousins were using it.
His dad found out and threw it away, so I guess only bad things really comes from it.
I had one when I was younger, and I was terrified of it! My friends would always wanna play with it, and they'd trick me into thinking that a ghost was giving us a message. Whether the thing actually worked or not, I'm not sure. Maybe I should dig it out again and see what happens.....
Ouija boards are fun to play & mess around with, they will not hurt you if you know what your doing and if you do not know what your doing then you should not mess with one...
personaly i dont think much of it , if it was a real hand carved one that would be a different story but if it says parker brothers on it, its not worth the paper its printed on
One of these days I'm making my own. Now thinking of some ideas. As for the board itself, it was never ever meant to be a toy in the first place. So, thanks Parker Brothers. Some stores are now not selling them. The last time I check Walmart was one of them.
the only thing i have seen from them is my uncle who was a catholic priest tried to burn one and it did not burn
I've heard stories of when someone used one, and something lifted off the table and hit the wall, or a block of knives "floated around". I, myself, wouldnt believe it till I saw it. I think I would litterally be scared to death if I did.
We played often when we were younger, sometimes scary things happend, but the importance is how to use it, u just have to know what u do, then nothing really bad happens
Most kids shouldnt know how to 'use' it though. I am 15 years old and scared to death of it. Then yet again, I still played when I was younger. Still, chicldren shouldnt use things like that. No matter if its for fun or not.
Yes u are right, we did when we were like 12, 13. But after some strange things happend, I read about how to use it
I used one when I was 11(somewhere around there), and there was a girl who claimed her cousin was "possesed" that night. He was kinda weird, but as far as possesed goes, no.
any thing you believe in will become true your mind is powerfull. If you truly belive something your mind will star to let you see it and it will become real to you, Not that it really exists nor it is really there.
I was raised in a christian home, my dad is a deacon in the baptist church, i daddled in many religions out of curiosity and found all to be interesting.
Ouija boards do work , in the sence that you believe in them.
it is dfficult to explain
One thing i never understood about the newer ouija boards is why did they make them glow in the dark i think that is stupid and their is no reason for it, i guess PB thought it would be more fun, i bought one of thoes boards and took it back the next day, stupid glow in the dark boards...
i see them in the store [ especially spencers ] a lot, but I never actually got the chance to use one, I've heard a lot of stories, that they do weird things, or that they are fake, Im not sure idk; my friends aunt is really into that stuff and she's got one, but I've never seen her use it.
I used one once when I was a very stupid kid. I was at a slumber party and the theme was scare fest. We all brought scary books or movies to watch. We were sleeping over in the downstairs family room and off to the right of the room was a guest room with a waterbed and a bathroom attached. We all put our stuff in the room expect our slepping bags. When her parents went to bed, someone pulled out a ouija board. We played with it and forgot to say good bye. We went into the extra room to get the scary movies and could find any of our scary books or movies. Instead we found what looked like a human indentation in the waterbed. We all ran out and most of us didn't sleep at all that night.
The next morning before her mother went to work we went back into the room to find huge whole in the middle of the water bed and water everywhere, all over our stuff. Her mom emptied hte bed, making her late for work, and we were aone and still scared even in broad daylight!!!!
I have my own that I made myself from wood. I use it often and think of it as one of my tools of the trade. I don't advise using one unless you know what you are doing
i had the glow in the dark one but passed it one to my friend, ive gotten a few occurences on it,
but if i have a question is it possible to get yourself on the ouiji board...because my friends supposedly have, and that just seems to far fetched to me if anyone knows the REAL answer to the question message me personally i dont any messages saying its prossible i want a no or yes answer. thnx
Once my cousin was playing with a ouiji board with a friend of hers im an old abandoned "Haunted" church. she was a bit of a skeptic and was asking the spirit for proof. she said the candle they had blew itself out. when asking for more proof she said her flashlight died. she was very stuborn and thought it was just by chance that that stuff happened. then finally i guess the spirit really wanted to get her attention. the board shot away from them and them a window near by bursted. they stood up and the window behind them broke. scare her and her friend ran out having every window break as they went by. she never went near the church again, but when her friend went back the next day the board was missing.
Ouija boards...
nasty little games,
perilous for the weak minded, and also for those who lack a strong will, and the protection,
one can get seriously hurt, and suffer a great trauma,
I have heard some nasty stories, all a real laugh, and I cannot help but asking myself what were those imbeciles thinking...
if you are not going to respect the powers of this tool, and if you treat it like a game... you are seriously gonna end screwed up...
fair warning, dearies...
Lord Markus
I was once told that the only things waiting for you on the other side of a Ouija bored are evil spirits desperate to get through to this world once more. In spite of knowing this I once did one, and I will never ever do one again. it's hard to undo what has been done.
my sister in law told me about a great story of two of her friedns that were using on and the house blew up, I'll get all the details on it.
I dont think i'd ever use the board myself as afew friends of mine & their friends used it once and one of them must have angered or insulted the spirit or something because about 30mins into using & talking to a spirit the person stopped breathing...they said it was as tho a hand was chocking them and wouldnt let go....he was able to squeeze out an apologie and the spirit let go...ever since that night, he's had perminant red marks on this throat like burn marks! Really scary shit....i didnt believe it when i was first told but then i saw the marks & they really do look like finger marks around this throat....i think is alil too dangerous, esp if your not experienced in the field of communicating with the dead!
I believe the best type of ouija board a person can use is one they make for themself because it will have your own energy in it, the ones you get at stores can and do work, but you really do not know who made that board, and what type of energy was around that person who made the board...
i think if ppl want to contact the dead go to a medium unless you have that gift. it is fairly foolish to think to can do that and not get in trouble.
I would beware of Ouija boards unless you are good at "white lighting" yourself. They can be used for fun, but sometimes inexperienced people call upon an evil spirit which may come through, and this can be very dangerous. I do not use them, as I have read many books that refer to them. There is always a "caution" to those who attempt to use them.
From personal experience dont go near them or use them if you dont know how to work them. They are not a game. You coulld open a portal and bring something out you dont want . Strange things happened to me when my friends and I used one .Its an experiennce I wont forget.
I've never used one before but I have heard many stories, including some of my friends. I don't know if I would dabble with that stuff, in my opinion some things are better left to be alone.
RavenKnight, that`s a very good point I think that too. When i think back, we always made our own "Board", we just a smooth table, a mirror or anything smooth and put the letters, numbers and the "yes" and "no" on pieces of papers and made a circle, that was our "board", but it always worked well
i dont like the sound of those boards, so I try and stay away from them
I'm glad this subject has come up. I personally own a Quija board. I have used it on many occasions, but not before I turn it over put my hands into a triangle, say a prayer draw the star of david with a cirlce and a cross in the middle of the star. i then turn it over and begin. I am a natural channeler anyway to begin with and before the words are spelled out i hear it in my head. I have spoken to my dead cousin and I always know it is him when he speaks to me, because he spells out something that I only know. then I have another i speak to which happens to be one of my guardians a gunny sergent that was in the marines that died in vietnam. he just prefers me to call him gunny and protects me becuase I am a hospital corpsman in the navy.
I know they have the makeshift parker bros board, but I can simply create on on a piece of paper and use the blunt end of a pen and it would still move. Experience wise, i have had no problems with doing this. as long as I say my prayer and do the symbol, no harm has become of me. the only problem is, it is very draining when I play with it.
I have played with those boards, and nothing happened. It was a time wasting experiance for myself.
i used a ouija board last night and nothing was comming clear
the mouse was falling off the sides and pointing at the pics in the coners
unfortunately those objects and relics only work for those that believe they do, as with most black magics, i have never had the pleasure of an actual experience.
I have never used one, but a friend of mine who is wickan said every time she has used one something bad has happened, so I stay away from them.
i used one once when i was in high school, but wasn't impressed. to me there are to many variables to seem real. everybody always claims they didn't move it, but who is lying and who is serious. This debat will always go on for as long as people do not understand the supernatural
i dont use Quija Boards you never know the spirits you conhjure up they can be good or evil best to stay away
I tried one once but I didn't trust the other person who was doing it with me so I guess nothing happened. That was about nine years ago and I've never touched one sense. I kind of actually think that they are nonsence all together, but hey if they work for other people, than rock on!
i have personally found "witch boards" to be more trouble than they are worth. ANY sprit foating lose can come through. it's harder to put the genie back in the bottle!
I only used one once after I read this book on what can happen when the board become an addiction. And I made my own out of paper with a friend of mine lol. We had to burn the edges to bless it my arm was on fire but I didn't see it or feel it until it was mentioned to me... LOL anyways that's the closest I ever got to one
they have quija boards at wal*mart?
him ill have to go look for one next time i go...maybe i could convince my dad or mom to get it for me for my b-day oh yes wat a great present then i could talk to April..oh how i miss her...
Ouija Boards :
Theory one : there fake the players of the boards control in there brain unknowingly or knowingly to freak out themselves and there partners of the board .
Theory Two : there real they open doorways that should not ever be opened they play and medal with some of the darkest pieces of magic some say that they are the doorway to hell .
take your pick on the options either way i don't mess with them and i wouldn't advise anyone else to either.
They are a door..u can let something or someone good in or something or someone bad in.and unless u are a strong medium, u will have no choice as to what comes in. I would suggest it just for a game type of thing.
I have never had that much experience with them . However , a close and life-long friend of mine has a sister who messed with a Quija Board years ago in the seventies , she summoned spirits as I am told , something went wrong, and the family believed her to be possesed , she went crazy and is now in an asylum to this day. the woman was absolutly fine until that day. I had known her before the inccident. From what I understand a priest had been involved.
They can be very dangerous. People can contact or call forth things the have no ability to contain or counteract.
I have used it with my ex in my own home. The board was very attracted to him and spun on it's own. After that, I never used it again. I feel like he had a negative energy attached to him and I did not want to bring that into my home.
in you dont know what your doing, dont use them.
they are not toys.
I don't use them because I have no need to as well as their is no protection with Quija boards.
I have been into them since i was young and they have brought all kinds of spirits and the such they have told me of events and also gave me some of the worst nightmares of my life especially after a night of messing with them in a cemetary.
My experience wasn't to pleasant.... course I was 12-13 at the time..... but anyway I was doing it one night with a friend of mine.... when she stopped and looked at me with a far glazed hateful stare.... as she crawled to me I tried to back up but my desk was in the way.... she wrapped her hands around my neck and started to squeeze... after hitting her several times she came to but I never touched the board after that....
I personally have no experience with them, and I will be keeping it that way. All I know is, it works, and it's very unpredictable to be using one...I mean, come on, hasn't anyone ever watched The Exorcist! :) I'm pretty sure that's based on a true story.
I had a friend who had a man come out of his closet every night and stand at the foot of his bed until he woke up. After a while of this his mom went into the closet to see if there was anything in there and found a board covering up a hole in the back wall of the closet when they removed it found it was a ouiji board. They took the board outside and put it on the bon fire to burn it, everything burned but the board until they smashed it and then it burned. After they did that the man never came out of the closet again.
I have seen a few things happen with the boards myself so would not have one in my house.
me n some of my family n friends used one...ill never touch one again too...the guy we talked to threatened to kill all of us...n my brother accually got hurt...the whole experience is somethin i would never want anybody to go through....getting rid of it i have to say was the hard part tho....luckly my uncle new what to do...he saged us all down n put black lines under are eyes...before we burnt the board...you could accually see people walking in the yard...protectors...it was definatly an unforgetable experience...n id advise anyone not to touch one
i do believe that if one has a weak mind and is messing with such a thing as the ouija(yes yes) board that they can come susceptible to such spirits attaching them and become quite addicted to playing with the ouija board.
First: I would like to say that I read the entire tread. The one thing that struck me was how many of the responces stated that things happened when they were in their early teens, give or take a year. Almost all of those post end with the fact that they no longer mess with them. Just stating fact here.
Second: When I was 13 (see how that works) I had experience with one. A friend of mine that had alot of experience with his, did a "reading" for me. He asked when I would die and it stated: "When the 3rd Blue Moon Falls" and then he asked how and the pointer thingy got going really fast and flew off the board. It missed my head by inches and smashed into the wall behind us.
I am now much older. If my math is right about when the Blue moon is I have about 13 more years. If it ment from the time I was born then it might be this year. Now that would make the year more interesting.
First: I would like to state a fact I have seen about this tread. It would seem the alot have had their first experience with one in their early teens give or take a year. And most of those end with them no longer using them.
Second: When I was 13 (see how that works) I had an experience with one. My friend had alot of experience with them. So one day he did a "reading" for me. He asked when I would die. Now I don't remember many things but these words will follow me to the grave. It said "When the 3rd Blue Moon falls." He then asked when I would die and it started going fast then flew off missing my head by inches. It smashed against the wall behind me.
Ok so if my math is right I have 13 more years. Or if it is counting from my birth it will be this year. Hmmm could make for an interesting year.
I have used ouija boards before, but nothing bad has ever happend to me, i have heard storys of bad things happening to other people while using them, if you use them right they are good tools to work with, but their are the people who plays with them they are not really toys, and if something happens to someone while they are playing with one then they deserve what they get...
I guess I have to agree with RavenKnight on this issue too. I've heard about the stuff but its not always good too.
Well, take this as you will, and it might sound lame, or fake, but I swear on everything I hold dear to me, this actually happend.
My friends and I were celebrating someones birthday. So in the middle of the night we decided to use the Quija Board. The creepiest thing that happend to me was that I was taling to a spirit that claimed to be my ex boyfriend who died a few days before the party. We all started to laugh and joke cuz I thought that one of the other girls was joking around. I looked up and right beside me he was standing there next to me. I freaked out and locked myself in the bathroom for 30 minutes. When I came out, everyone else what pale, they all saw him as well.
Everyone I know that has used one has had awful experiences with them; I have never used one personally, and don't think I want to. Most experiences I hear about are nasty ones.
the only time i think a board will have any "good" come out of is if you make it yourself...you get a tree stump cut down to the thickness you want, sand it, carve the letters and yes and no and whatever designs you want then then put a gloss finish or something on it and make your own dial to, cuz then literally you put your own energy in it, but im still waiting on answer for if you can yourself on a board cuz i think my friends a full it and just wanting attention when they say that.
one experince i was apart of was i was at the guys house that does tarot card readings and hes got a board like the one i described above and my friend was just meditating with the board just seeing if she could something and she didnt so she stoped and as soon as she took her hands away, the Eye flew of the table...and our tarot card reader said itll do that alot mostly because the city cemetary is his neighbor so hes got all kinds of energy around him and the house.
My mom was always paranoid about me and she forbid me from ever playing with one or being around one so I hadn't seen one until my dad was cleaning out my grandma's house and found his and my aunt's from when they were kids so since my dad can be kinda cool I wanted to take a look at it... less than an hour after that my grandma passed away and my father said he never wanted my brother or I to touch a quija board again.
I try to stay away from them. I used to be a skeptic, I mean after all aren't they manufactured by Milton Bradley? I have seen too much though to say that there's nothing to them. Whether it is truly spirits or a combined working of the users psychic energy or whatever else, I just don't know.
I,m a wiccan, but ouija boards are something i would stay away from, dangerous business.take care out there
I'd stay away from the retail store bought Quija boards. I hear they can be a little twitchy.
It's rather creepy to think that something manufactured by a board game company could have such power.
I did a little research. It appears that game companies have been manufacturing these things for decades.
http://www.museumoftalkingboards.com/gal7.html
only one that are home made have power not store bought ones
A friend of mine back in 2002 used a Ouija board. The spirit he came into contact with claimed to be that of a young man that once lived in the house. His mother, a medium, knew of him using the board and said that she would close of the gates to any reals or planes that were opened. So he finished his conversations in which he had been warned to stay away L.O.Mond as he thought the spirit to have said. His mother closed off the gates and he went on as normal with his life. 3 month later he and his parents and siblings went on a holiday and he went for a walk that he never returned from. He was found drowned at the bottom of Loch Lomond. Just thought Id share an experience that was intended as good ( the spirit warning him) but turned out for the worse. Ouija boards can have a good or bad outcome. I suppose it just depends on the circumstances and who you contact.
I agree with nightgirl totally, only the home made boards have a big power because people put there own energy and thoughts in it while they make it.
see somtimes these bad things happen because really some people have to put the blame on themselves not for talking on one but for making the spirit angry. sometimes it is the persons fault. like if you push some-one alot they will hit you back harder. it's kind of the same thing. this is only some occasions though not all.
I had some strange responses when I used Mine, and when My mother used it with Me, the pointer flew across the board. We even asked its name, it gave the name of My mothers passed on friend and she threw her hands up in the air and cried. I had no idea what was going on, she finally told me days later.* gets chills*
This one time, at band camp, I took an Ouija board and...nevermind.
Anyway, I was using one of those handy dandy witch boards at a Halloween party once, and the pointer flew off the board after we'd taken our hands off of it. Awesome. That was a KICK ass Halloween party.
we were useing one and the doorbell kept ringing after about a hour of listening to it i smashed the think to bitts and it stoped
Personally I think the Milton Bradley ones aren't a big deal but I've also never seen one that someone has created themselves which I would assume would have more energy.
When I was younger, I attempted to use an quija board. I honestly had no succes at contacting spirits or ghosts. Looking back on it, I'm glad I didn't reach anyone. Perhaps the work, perhaps not. But I'm not sure I would ever want to have contact with an unknown spirit where I have no knowledge if it is a happy, pissed off, or dangerous ghost.
I am going to close this thread. If anyone else wishes to continue the subject, feel free to do so.
