i have wounderd if most religions are fakes and what is the real religion ( not what we chose to follow) , throught time people the religions have changed , new ones come new ones go, gods come into bing some gods are lost and forgotton, so is this a fake per say , or do the religions just come to fit the times for what we need?

Gods are humanitys way of connecting to the source current, so the beliefs will be what humans see within themselves and their ideals.

Religeon is cyclic.

It is part of the covenant.

All religeons have a glory cycle, a prime cycle and a decay cycle.. Obviously almost all religeons are currently in a decay cycle; and those that choose to judge religeon as corrupt are obviously examining the adherants to previous incarnations of a cyclical event.

Religeon must decay for a new religeon to develope... it is the way of things. We are in an age where the new cycle has not been accepted yet... like the days of rome and christ, et al.

Relgions like culture continually change.Some go some stay.But as a professor of mine said"He who Controls the religion controls the people",it's been that way since state civilization started.I feel religions at least structured ones try to control the people,as do some of the alternitive ones.So religion will continue to fade as long as there are people wanting control and change things to achieve it.Just my 2 cents worth.

Think of it the same as your house master. They change; you can futily hold allegiance to the one who left or you can accept the new rules. It's a whole lot easier to make sire with a master mark and working within the new house dynamic, than it is to fight it.

Religion to me is something that man made. Since the begining of human history we have worshiped some sort of deity. Due to the need of spiritual awareness. Now when one or two people get together and say this is how is suppose to be then that's a religion. We all must admit that we where created. Because I dont believe humans came from monkeys. We may share something with them but we also share minerals from other planets in our body. Does that mean we came from all those planets as well? My point being is that there is a creator and we worship a creator and religion is the set of rules to follow. .

its a funny thing - most religions claim to bring enlightenment, yet when it comes down to it, they nearly all strive to make sure their followers are kept as ignorant as possible. monotheism is convenient for a centralized government system. democracy means nothing when you have one man who says "there is only one god, and i am his only true spokesman."

I was thinking the same thing as Kaooo. Just like anything else religion evolves. So as far as a fad, I don't think so. Fads come and go in a matter of months or a few years. Religion on the other hand has been evolving since man invented it.

We've moved from a pantheon of gods, to the singular god Yahweh of the Jews, to the belief that a man walked the earth as the son of God and died for our sins, and now there seems to be a shift to move back to the belief of multiple gods. All the while the church is fighting to keep the people ignorant and expecting them to accept their beliefs "just because". Well just because isn't working any more.

People want to KNOW. They want explanations. We are no longer peasants unable to read and write and having to take or priests and nobleman's word for it. We can read and study and draw our own conclusions. So everything is up for interpretation and instead of being a religion for the massses people are drawing their own conclusions and following their own set of beliefs. So I guess, hooray for the individual!

People have to believe in something I suppose, it's been that way for centuries, something greater than themselves but that makes sense and isn't here today and gone tomorrow. Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Taoist, Buddahist, Moron...I'm sorry I mean Mormon, Scientologist, Satanist....it was said once that all roads lead to Rome, well I suppose that all religions in one way or another lead to a solitary truth amid some superstitions and lies as well.

I would suppose that eventually, if there is ONE out of the many, we will eventually be made aware of it...one way or another.

It is all in what you choice to believe and makes you happy. I guess it is called blind faith.

I don't follow any certain religion but those who do I guess just have blind faith in it.

There are always going to be new religions. I agree that they can sometimes be only fads. I think people start new religions which are more evolved, and more convenient for the followers. Isn't there a saying that religion doesn't have to hurt? Some religions are downright crazy. But people do deserve the choice.

I believe the basis of most religions is to try and "control" people to live a certain way in society.

There's so many different religions out there and so many different beliefs, who's to say who's right and who's wrong?

I think at one point in time there may have been a base religion but as time went on it got split and warped to match different peoples out looks on things. I think there is some truth in all religions and that no one that is out there right now is the right or real one.

its a very good question, as i've wondered the same thing many times. i don't know which religion to believe, or even if any of them are right. but what i do know, is that society needs something to believe in. something to guide them and help set laws. (even though church and state should be separate its totally not) what i have noticed is that all religions have some similarites. even if the "god" is different, the beliefs a lot of the time have some good meaning and virtually the same idea. so if thats the case, then maybe they are all right and we just got it wrong. or maybe they are all wrong and we just need to live our lives one day at a time and be nice to every one else. for sometimes i feel like its religion that aides in a lot of discriminatory beliefs.

I do respect peoples beliefs whether i agree or not... i think that we screwed up religion somewhere and somehow. we decided (and when i say we i mean people in general) that "our" one religion was greater. and others decided theirs was. and so on and so forth, till the real meaning got lost. so they are all fakes. i hope that makes sense.

Ok I find this interesting on why religion is fake to me … im atheist and do offend with my strong view I know … it’s just an opinion.

i agree no religion is fake its, real to the people that believe in it.

It is what u choose to believe and what makes your life better, there are alot of fake religons, but it is hard to tell if your in a fake religon or if the one u choose is fake, . alot of studying

Religions are made real by people believing in them. I guess lots of them is real. But it depends on the believer....

I dont follow any specific religions either but everyone follows their different role in life.

Religions seems to me to be very structured, with rules, laws, leaders and followers. The customs and triditions evolve and grow, if practiced widely enough, and die and fade to legend and myth if practiced by to few.

No religion is fake, so long as One person finds solace, and peace of mind, or some sort of hope in it. Even if it is something like scientology.

Just because someone believes something doesn't make it real. People once believed the earth was the center of the universe and that the earth was flat. Did that make it real? No or Columbus would have fallen of the edge of the world. Just because some zealots believe that if they die while killing Americans they will go to "Heaven" and receive 30 virgins do you think that will make it so? As far as control goes yes there are a lot that try to control but mostly because of man's influence. Some if you study them strictly by thier written word promote free will, but men twist the words for control. When I say men I use the term generically for mankind as women have been guilty also.

Religions will be always a never ending cycle. It is the person that must believe in what ever religion. I am not one to past judgement nor say that one religion is better than the other. We all choose what we want to do and believe in. There are those that make up a religion just to have the power over others and those that ask you to follow but many of them out there are based on the same beliefs only finding out what you see with in yourself. I believe that there are some out there that are to be up front but so many prey on the weak and those are the ones you need to watch out for..

I'm going to start my own Religion so I can steal all your money and become Tax Exempt.....lol.

Im not sure..there are soo many of them and.. it semms now days anyone could have there own so i think its really to dificult to tell with aso many religions and so many diffrent peoples points of views
