I have always worked with crystals. Ever since I was little girl I was fascinated by their sheer beauty. And when I started on my path , crystals were one of the first things that I started to work with. A lot of people think that the bigger the stone the more the power. That isn't true at all. And when you go to get your first crystal, let it talk to you pic up several different ones until you find the one that is right for you. I have so many. I thought I might share some information on crystal healing.

There are three steps to effective crystal healing. While you are wearing your crystals as jewelry or in a pouch at your heart center, the crystal vibrations work continuously on your imbalances.

The Cleansing Process

The first step is the cleansing process. In first week or so, the crystal is making tremendous adjustments within your energy field, matching the matrix of your energy fields to a larger outer universal energy field which will be used in your healing.

It is important to keep the crystal on you all the time (24 hours a day) for at least the first 21 days for this cleansing process to be initiated and completed. This is also a period of time where the blockages of energy that are causing the imbalance are removed.

Sometimes a healing crisis occurs at this point, during the early days of wearing the crystal. Remember, resolving the inner conflict may take time and that crystals accelerate the change process. Allow these processes to occur without interruption, by continuously wearing the stone or crystal until you complete the next two steps.

It is a good idea to cleanse your crystal every week and to recharge it in the sunlight for at least four hours weekly through out the healing process.

Harmonizing and Integrating

The second step in crystal healing is the process of harmonizing and integrating the changes into your whole being. You may notice physical and emotional changes in either of the first or second steps as your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies come into alignment. Some of these changes are caused by throwing off toxins and negative energies from the cleansing process which continues throughout the cycle of healing.

In the second stage, beginning in about the fourth week of wearing the stone or crystal, you may notice that your face looks more relaxed as the harmonizing connection is made within yourself. Your mental outlook, thoughts, feelings and even opinions may change significantly. All aspects of your energy will be activated and the result is a very positive feeling. However, you are not out of the woods yet!

Stability

The third step can take three to four months, perhaps even longer for some people depending on the intensity of the original condition. With continuous wearing of the stones or crystals, you will achieve stability for the changes. There is no turning back at this point.

You can test out the stability by removing your crystals from time to time. If you feel desperate and need to put your crystals back on after only a few minutes, you are not even close to stabilizing the energy changes. If you are able to go for a few days without your stones, but then notice you are slipping back into your old ways, consider wearing your stones for another week or more, or only at bedtime before testing again. As you develop deeper sensitivity for crystal energy, you may decide to keep the crystals on much longer.

Some Hints On Crystal Healing

Your commitment to the crystal is part of the healing process. Let the crystal do the work for you. It is best not to wear more than two stones at any one time if you are new to crystal healing, as many people find the effects too distracting. The length of time to obtain the effects desired will depend on the quality of the crystal (size, color, energy charge), location of wear, duration, and the crystal's appropriateness to your healing. Some crystals are better suited to healing the overall problem which underlies the symptoms, than to just treating superficial symptoms. Select your crystal with an honest outlook on the real problem.


I was wondering who else works with crystals and do you have a favorite ? I myself like Rose Quartz.

Personally I don't use crystals for healing, though I am aware of a lot of people who do. Quartz points etc being very handy for "focusing" the energy into a type of laser. Sounds funny, but it works. I personally go with my own abilities, and use crystals for other things, like storage.

That is really wonderful information so thank you for sharing it. I use rose quartz myself as I love its calming and soothing energy. I also use amethyst to heal my body of wounds, bruises, etc. And I use clear quartz crystal to balance and cleanse my aura and energies.

I never used crystals for healing, but use them to induce some positive energy in to my sistem, like the mentioned rose quartz, wich is good for heart, and cleansing from the negativities, and its serene influence on the crown chakra is not to be ignored as well.

I personally have been getting into it.. right now I am working on learning the meaning of each stone.. is there a book anyone knows of I could use?

I am not really sure if I believe in crystal healing...but I guess it kind of makes sense, being able to store your energy into a stone and use it to align your other imbalances could be possible...but still...I don't know I guess this is just one of those things that I have to read more about or experience myself.

Two books I use in crystal work are Scott Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic and Judy Hall's The Encyclopedia of Crystals. Cunningham's book is better for a beginner while Hall's book is very detailed and makes a great reference. I tend to use colorless quartz to focus energy in general senses and amethyst for healing especially mental illnesses.

I like Garnet...which is also my birthstone.

I was always told if it is for healing, then anything green will work best. Esp in matters of healing health.

Crystals can be used for many differant reasons, such as spells/incantations, summonings, healing/energy work. They are a very good conduit when need be. As they are living organisms, they do have a life of their own.

I don't really use crystals for anything anymore. I used to carry a bloodstone around with me to keep me calm when I was stressed. And I used to sleep with an amythest near the head of my bed for a better night sleep which would work but I just havent done it in a long time.

i tend t always have a lot of amethyest around my bed room as well.

I do not use crystals, or any other implements, in healing. My mind and hands seem to be all I need *smiling*

I have used crystals for healing and protections I feel they do have a certain amount of powers .. yet I also feel it is what you believe also that adds to the working of them. :)

I suffered a painful lower back injury when I was younger and my father took me to an apothecary downtown where we met an old man. I layed on my back and he told me to relax. After placing a tiny white crystal on my lower back, I dozed off. I woke an hour later and felt like I never got hurt. To my shock, the crystal shard had turned a dark shade of amber. I thought that perhaps the old man switched it with another crystal while I slept but my father who sat by my side the entire time said that the crystal gradually went from clear to dark. I was amazed. Sadly the old man died a few years ago. Along with great herbs and healing creams, he also sold some of the best real black licorice you can get in the US.

i think that crystals can work in many ways and that when i become more involved and have more time to read up on it i will use it a lot more.

Crystals are useful as conduits for energies that affect specific chakras or relate to specific elemental energies. This makes them useful for healings that require adjustments of chakra energy or elemental energy balances. The color of the crystal relates to the energies it relates to. Garnet with its reddish brown color relates to the base chakra and fire element would be used to help with anemia and other blood deficiencies, emaciation, depression or lethargy. Amethyst purple and relates to the crown chakra and water element acts as an for aid insomnia or any mental-related disorder.

Rose quartz is definately good to use.

I am not exclusive in my use of crystals but I have used agate for years to fight off acid reflux, it's working so far. I like quartz for focusing too.

I don't know where everyone gets there cystals and other stones . There is a shop in portlnd maine called stones ant stuff that is so good . They sell everything in all sizes . They even have huge goedes . I hadone i used to cleanse water in .

I do not heal with them as much as I use stones and crystals to store energy and for protection from negative energy.

I fully believe crystals work i had a friend who helped heal my son when he was sick using crystals it was amazing.

I never used the formal crystals for healing however being that my parents are from Poland and now that I am a member of VR which has made me do soem research into some vampire history that lead me to Polands religious history prior to Catholicism was pagan and many of the traditions still exist. (it all makes sense now) they are mixed.

It is that around here I can buy not very expensive crystals and would that mean that they are not so qualitative?

its not always about it being the biggest crytals, smaler ones are better, as for prices, there is a shop that I use alot and they are very in expensive.

I am thinking that it pretty much depends on the Crystal's frequency and really doesnt have much to do with the user's focus or anything else other than tempurature and a crystal's frequency and conductive qualities.There are frequencies known for their healing and relaxation affects.If a crystal's structure causes it to vibrate at a certain frequency,then it might very well aid in healing or whatever.

If you are not sure which crystals to use, choose ones that correspond to the colours of the rainbow. If you are not sure where your chakras are:
Crown Chakra - place on floor above head: Purple or Clear (ie: amethyst, clear quartz stone or point)
Third Eye Chakra - between the eyebrows: Indigo or Clear (ie: iolite, amethyst, apophyllite point)
Throat Chakra - throat area: Blue (ie: lapis lazuli, blue quartz, blue tourmaline, larimar, aquamarine)
Heart Chakra - heart region: Pink or Green (ie: rose quartz, mangano calcite, aventurine)

It really is a great thread.Well,hopefully LDR will see our delima.In the meantime,I think thats what I would do,find a crystal that vibrates at a freq that repels demons or whatever .or a combination of them that will harmonize in the right harmonic.

different crystals have different meanings for everyone, and each one calls or vibrates differently for each person as well. where one might attract one person it may go completely unnoticed by another because it does not speak to them or call to them in any way.

Oceanne, by focus I'm meaning you use the quartz point to narrow the stream of the healing energy down into a point, like a laser, which is used for fine tuned work, things like, burning off skin cancers and the like (something we see a lot of over here).

I'm not sure about the freqency side of it as that's not something I'm overly familiar with but going by basic science then I'd assume that yes the frequency is changed by sending the energy through a focus.

I bought a book a long time ago called Crystal Awareness by Catherine Bowman. It was pretty good. I could never do much with it cause I can't clear my mind long enough to meditate, but it was still a very good book.

I think I will be able to shed some light on that and show you how it could work.I am not saying anyone has to agree,but I will present it nonetheless.Give a little time here,I am not at my own comp.

i use to have a milky white quartz crystal ball that i used for spiritual healing. anytime i fel upset or any other kind of negativity i channeled it into the crystal and cleansed it during the next full moon.. it helped alot. one day after cleansing it shartted...so i guess it was spent.

Now i have a larger crystal the is purple in natural light, blue in florecent...its cool like that...i use it for meditation and astral projection...and some scrying...and emotional healing while i am meditating

I too have found crystals very useful in healing processes. I know that there are many different types, and I too agree that the size of a crystal does not show how much power it has. In fact, I am wearing a rather small crystal right now (smaller than my pink) around my neck, and it is radiently powerful. I wear it everyday, and somtimes other crystals. I remember I once came upon a crystal with streaks of black matter inside of it. I had no idea what it was, but it was stolen for me and I have yet to find out.

I used to have an small peice of emerald that for some reason seemed to make my mind race alot less . It seemed to slow my thoughts enought to order them

Its pretty simple really how they might work..Crystals emit electromagnetic waves into the environment, and most likely bring vibrations and resonance to the human body by way of their own matrix.
