does love carry on after we have passed from this life? and if we are reborn do our past loves follow us in to the next life?

That is a very good question, althought I don't really have an answer I do have a few thoughts on it. I do believe it might be possible to be reborn and if so maybe even have memories of past lives and things. I do have dreams and memories that seem like they have come from a past life but I cannot be sure. I do also believe if you can be reborn with memories then for sure you can retain love as well!!!

I dont know how to answer that question. perhaps it is possible and that is the reason when we find our soulmates we feel as if we have always known them and the love comes so easily to the surface.

Maybe if two people are so attuned to each other's souls that love was instantaneous, perhaps. The term "soul mates" could describe such a relationship I suppose.

The movie What Dreams May Come tells the story of two parents devastated by the loss of their children in a car accident. Later in the film the husband is also killed in a car accident leaving the wife behind. I won't give away any more than that in case anyone hasn't seen it yet. It all depends on your beliefs, if I were to believe in past lives I would say yes as would hate in my opinion. Being a Christian you could say yes as well since you would be ascending to heaven or hell/hate as it were.

Love can be one of the strongest of all the human emotions... But all emotion and feeling ends in Death... It is possible that the emotions could've left an imprint on your soul. I believe in soul mates that are destined to be together, life time after life time... The Love that binds them together is too strong to break. I think this could be possible... Or maybe I am too Idealist x_o

I don’t think that love would carry over to a next life if that is how it works. Love is kind of a fragile emotion. Relatively speaking it does not take long for us to get over being in love when we lose love. For this reason I don’t think love could survive the transition into another life. I think it would make a nice romantic story to say love could survive death but I don’t think it’s possible.

Well I think it does cause do you not sometimes have tis feeling that your drawn to a person romatically and have no clue as to why? I have and I feel it is a lost love that has carried over to our present life

i think that love is the strongest part of who we are and that is one of the thing that i think would stay with us for ever. i think that love that we once had can come back to us.

True, deep, pure and real love can never die. Though our bodies die, I believe the love we share with others lives on forever. That's just what I believe for to me, an emotion and feeling as powerful as love could not just stop after we are gone.

I am not sure of this answer. love can follow us after we die but i personally do not believe in reincarnation so i would say it wont go to other lifes cause thier are no other lifes

Personally, it could be possible although I am in no position to say... maybe. I have read and watched quite a few stories/anime which involved reincarnation of a loving couple of celestial beings and ironically, being born as twins.

I believe that we hold the love of another in our hearts. I know that when I pass over I will carry the love I feel with me and I know that it will grow. As far as other lives it seems that with each life we grow and with growing comes an infinite amount of this energy.

I believe reincarnation to a certain point. People could be reincarnated if their Love connection was that strong... Spirits and souls that cannot move on have reasons to stay, Love could be one of those reasons. It makes perfect sense to me that Love could carry on life time after life time.

idk.... I have met people that I SWEAR I have met in a past life but I really cannot give a good answer. I think that maybe you both do but that you may not nesicarily find each other. (all hope that you do though.)

But either way I have met people that I already knew the first time I talked to them... in this life anyway. So I think that people do. I actually tend to think that most if not everybody re-encarnates, but thats just my belief. I always leave room for debate, however I have heard a lot of it and don't agree with most of it. I beleive it is a possiblity of love continuing on after death. After all they do say love is the most powerful emotion that can bond the loved ones souls together. And there have been such stories.

Personally I beleive that being reborn you are bound to meet many from your other lives. Good or bad. Why wouldn't a love one be invovled in that?

My belief is that you carry your past loves into the next life path and if it was a deep connecting love, I believe you are destined to find that love again also.

I choose to believe they can follow you.. Have you ever met that person that you instantly feel like you have known forever? Or on the other hand, met someone that you instantly despise.. for no apparent reason? Do those who wrong us follow as well?

I often feel that once this life is over, it's done and you start over. I have heard that someone you once loved can reincarnate at the same time and you could meet them. Who knows?

what i can say is that you travel from life to life with the people you normally have around... when i had the regression, i could see my dad, my mom, in different other roles, so it means that love goes from life to life... of course it changes because i've been related to them in many ways...

There are many believes on this subject. Since a person's spirit can stay here and watch over their loved ones - yes love can live on after death. Your spirit carries all your emotions on after your body perishes.

As for whether or not your love can follow you into another life - that one is tricky. I am Wiccan so I believe you go on into Summerland when you die. Here you look over your last life and can decide if you would like to be reborn. I suppose if you and your love both decided to be reborn their is a good chance you could be reunited in the next life.

I believe that love is boundless. It never stops. It is never ending. If life cycles do start over then I believe those that were close to you in one life will not be far from you in your following lives. We as a people evolve with the times but love never changes.

I don't really believe in reincarnation however I do wonder when I meet someone for the first time and have the feeling of knowing them forever. It makes me wonder if there is such thing as a past life and if I had a connection with the person.

I think love is powerful enough to leave an impression upon one's soul...and if somehow we do come back...then that love would most certainly be part of us...again on this physical plane...

In some beliefs the ones you love of hate are born around you that you move through your lives around each other again and again until you have learned what you must.

I believe that it does. In life you have the choice of staying with your loved one and in death I think that you should have that same choice of staying with that person.

Yes, I absolutly believe it does. I have known and loved in one form or another, my current girlfriend, in at least one of my past lives. Every day we discover that we know things about each other, that thier is no way we should know otherwise.

I believe that if a person's spirit does not move on to the next form of existence then love can carry on until they do. I don't as a general rule believe in reincarnation. I believe once someone moves on to heaven the transformation is so complete that the emotions we felt in this life will not matter. If they did heaven would not be a very pleasant place for some people. Most people love more than one person during their life on earth. If emotions carried on then you would be faced with all of your loves that made it to heaven and they with each other. You would also be faced with people that you did not like or that didn't like you. Heaven is supposed to be such a positive place I don't believe there is a place for human emotions there. It may be a nice romantic thought that you would spend eternity in heaven with your current love but how happy would it be with your ex-love(s) there also?

I believe that what makes us who we are, our soul or essence, is energy contained in a vessel (or body). That energy is constant and last forever though it can and does change forms. I believe that anything that is acquired in a life, no matter how many you have, will carry on with the energy no matter where it may end up. I have dreams of things that cant possibly be just random dreams. They are too detailed and real, like memories more than dreams. I think that memories and emotions, including love, all come with us when our essence leaves our body and head on its journey to its next destination. I find comfort in knowing that if it can happen to me....that my soul mate can find me again in another life as well.

Yes, I believe it's entirely possible. Not just romantic love, but family love also. Have you ever met someone and had an automatic bond with them? Something that grew into a sibling type of relationship? I attribute that to a family bond from a past life.

if it's true love and the people are soul mates, then probably, or they might despise each other, but they will probably have strong feelings for eacvh other in which ever direction. if they ever actually meet.

If it is a true love then yes, I believe the spirits involved can be bound together by choice. This is more often not the case. I believe I have met again several past life lovers of mine in passing, and have not rued our separation, but on this matter I myself don't know if I would like to be or could stand to be bound to anyone for more than a life or two let alone for all eternity... lol

It's really quite possible due to the fact that your soul remembers those who you have held dear and close far past that of your concious mind. This would also explain the "Love at first sight" theory.

I believe that when a loved one passes on it is still possible for them to still love u. That is the possible answer when u get the feeling someone is tyouching u or u feel u were kissed. This is most likely one of your departed loved ones showing u that they still love u and are watching u

Love, like hate, are extremely strong emotions. I do believe they both carry down through objects...and those sensitive, can pick up something or touch something and feel those emotions.

And love can carry down through reincarnation and try to find those souls once more.
