I dont see a reason that u cant practice magick while pregnant. just have to watch out for spells cast against u
Hey,this is a great question.
I am interested to see what the imput will be.
I would venture to say that it will become apart of the spiritual alignment of the unborn to be prediposed to that art in life, if it makes it that for.
If not you have a useful aid to your working in this time if you summon the spirits of the unborn, and such. Could prove to be quite interesting.
It depends on what kind of magic. You don't want to channel too much. It could harm or alter the baby in some way.
No it doesnt Harm!
I had 4 children been in circles, raised energy, chanelled, led ritual, cast spells..... and it didnt harm them nor the hundreds of woman Ive known in the Pagan community throughout my 20 years in it, their babies where unharmed and healthy.
I feel that if you surround yourself with a full protection spell before and magic practices you and the unborn child would be just fine also just make sure you smudge the room before and after any spell casting is to be done ..
I wouldn't think it to be harmful to your unborn child. As others have said just be careful of any channeling and spells cast against you. may not hurt to put a protection spell around yourself. Practicing while pregnant may even make the child stronger in their spiritual ways
My personal opinion is that starting to think that the practice of magic while pregnant will harm the unborn child, is reverting to old, oppressive views of women and pregnancy.
If you are pregnant (and mind you I have never been pregnant so this is all 3rd hand information) then your baby is protected, insulated, cushioned and supported from outside influences by your own body while it is developing. This is all outside influences, including magical ones.
i think it wlnt hurt the baby if you do it right you would be just find the way to talking to your unborn child
Being a mother and someone who practiced the whole time I was pregnant have to say that it didn't harm my child she was born healthy and has even started to show signs of being a very gifted lil girl... I knew all to well that she was protected while inside of me and the things I do wouldn't have harmed her in the first place...
When my friend got pregnant, she was not able to do magick. Whenever she tried to do something simple it was like she didn't know how to cast anything correctly.
I honestly dont see where the harm could be. unless your ingesting things that are not safe.
I dont think it will be harmful to expose your unborn child to the world of beautiful positive magick, but be safe to mind the Rede and Harm None!
I dont see any harm in it at all. The baby should be protected
Why would it be harmful? not like you are giving up blood..not like you are using hallucinogens or drugs...
And i which case if you are..well that is not a good thing to do in the first place, pregnant or not, because magic/witchcraft - whatever term you want to use is not something to play around with high or sober. I recommend that if you don't know what you are doing or enough about the subject to begin with, leave it alone.
too much magik will harm the unborn child depending on the type of magik performed...
Just watch what kind of spells you cast and the things you get mixed up in. Basically use common sense.
Also be careful of what herbs, if any, you consume. Some can induce labor or cause a miscarriage.
i don't see anything wrong with doing it, as somebody had said earlier if you don't cast any on your self then you should be fine.
that depends what kind of spells you cast. i believe that if you do it with good intention than you should be fine. dont try any thing that would make The Three Fold bring back something negative to you...
Perfectly okay as long as you don't consume any hurtful herbs.
Actuallty it is quite healthy to cast whilst prego, it not only keeps the energy circulating, but it instills a bit of peace within you as well as the infant.
Magik is universal, this means not only can the infant become a conduit, but when he/she is born, may be intune with the natural gifts with which the universe has provided. Natural magiks are a bit scarse in this day and age.
I do not think it would be harmfull at all if anything i htink it might create a stronger bond mmaybe with you and your unborn child
if you practice magick and you dont no for sure about it, wouldn't it be wise to practise after the baby was born....
Unless your using some form of toxic chemical or consuming toxic fluids that pose harm to the fetus, you should be fine. However keep in mind I personally dont give much credence to spells and such. If you do, then use your own judgment.
KalabatiXBellyXDancer,
I know this firsthand from my 1st pregnancy and well she turned out alright but I think she had taken in what mommy had and when she was younger i could feel the energy come from her as she trying to do things herself.
Here I am in my 2nd pregnancy and it's not as bad, I am able to do some magick...so it must be a boy I am carrying..LOL I'm not being a sexists, just stating the facts. Each pregnancy is different.
Practicing any form of magic requires skill and talent. It does not matter if you are pregnant or not. As far as harming your unborn child, you would do more damage to the child by downing a fifth of vodka.
As long as you don't practice bad magic (cause of the karma ) I don't think it would be bad at all . might even rub off on your baby
no not really i have not heard of it harming you or your unborn child
Yes. using majic at any tome can lead to infertility and deformed babies.
Well I personally wouldn't if I could even have kids, but I would put up a protection sheild as soon as I found out I was pregnant so I wouldn't be in any harm.
well i was talking to alot of my friends about this and they say its safe as long as its good practicings..
I wouldn't think it would be harmful. I surely wouldn't practice any bad magicks though. I think the karma could be bad for the baby.
I'm pregnant and there was some fear that I would harm the baby while practicing magick. I err on the side of caution. I guess it would depend on what type of magick. If it involves invoking something into your, then maybe it could. If it manipulates the environment around you, then it probably doesn't. You'd just have to becareful that it doesn't backfire.
I have question is there is a spell that HELP me get pregnant becuase i have been trying and no luck
i think it would depend on the type of magic what do you think?
I can't see where it would harm anything, depending on any negative energies being sent out of course :)
I dont think doing magick while pregnant would harm your unborn child unless you're channeling negative energy and you make a mistake or someone else casts to cause harm to your unborn child.
I would think that quite possibly doing healing magicks could be beneficial to the child.
I don't think that it would harm an unborn child. But I think if you do the magick wrong then it might... Maybe it is according to the type of magick that you do.
Don't do any black magick.
You do something bad, it'll come back worse against you (You probably know that,) and might really hurt the baby.
Don't risk it.
I don't think it would be dangerous, just not do anything what could return to you, or even to a baby after then as bad.
Also maybe watch out for your energy, to save it and not do any big spells.
Good point indeed it could be harmful to the fetus if you drained to much energy from them and quite possibly affect their growth.
I don't think it's dangerous, its basically because the baby would be magical as well and so will you.
I don't think it would be, unless ... you know it were black magick.
Wow. Most of the answers here were completely redundant.
