Several people that have had a close deadexperience tell about a white light and a walk thru it. Imagine if the end of that corridore is the born to your next life? But when some soul dont go thru there and decide to go back to the old host instead so maybe that lead to a women that born a dead child because it was meaned that the soul who returned to the old host was meaned to enter that child. What do you think of this?

I have never thought of it that way, but it is an interesting concept. I personally disagree because it sounds to me as if you are saying that until birth a soul is "up for grabs," that a person is not really alive until birth. I tend to believe souls go into a different plane, and are born when the time is right. Stillborns and miscarried babies lived: they had heartbeats to prove it. I have miscarried. I know what it's like to see that little heart beating the ultrasound screen - definitely already a living being, though not granted a lengthy life!

I can see your point, but I believe life begins at the time of conception. Perhaps your idea fits better amongst the belief of reincarnation where a soul becomes that of another person , or animal.

No i have never seen it. I just have heard people who says they have after a close deadexperience.

never had a near death experience but i would have to say it is false. when a person dies the soul sits...it may come back in another, it may not. it is it's choice whether or not that happens everytime the host dies. but it can't really be meant for another until it has completely moved in to its next existence.

thats an interesting way of looking at it. but i dont think that would be the case, the soul went back to the body because it was not time for them to die. simply put, the child that was born was not meant to live. that is my belief anyway

In my opinion, the soul is the "spirit"of the person. I am not religious, so my opinions may vary from others. I think that anything alive from conception will have the soul, or spirit. The white light hasn't been proven yet, but I like to believe that it is true. Something has to go into the light, and comeback if the person or whatever is meant to live. I personally don't believe it hops around. The term "the spirit lives on" to me means the memory of someone. Not a soul floating around to different "levels."

You have a choice sometimes to go back &finish this life. I do not believe you go from one body into another so fast. Need time readjust /absorb last life lesson.

But maybe it is wrong to see the white light in the same timescale as we do in our life? And who know how fast a soul can decide way in there?

People do die and come back to life, but that soul ~did not~ go into another body during that time.

Think about it... People who come back to life ~never~ say they were somebody else while they were dead, ~never~ talk about anything that sounds like being in the womb. All they talk about is the tunnel and the light, and perhaps somebody else telling them it's not their time.

I just had an experience like that, except the white light was on the roof of the piercing room.

I guess there could be something like that. But I think there could either be a light path or a dark path into the after life.

I had a brush with death briefly and saw no white light, maybe it meant I was going to hell or maybe that its all a bunch of bs......

I sat with my mother while she was dying. She was in a coma, but at the very last she tried to sit up and lifted her arms to the upper corner of the room..I think she saw the light and was going toward it, and seeing people she knew on the other side.

I saw a gray static but beyond that was a horizonless srtream of gasses and light.With entities flying over head and others clinging to and slowly moving across an expanse so what ever function the stream served (perhaps a continuum)I went back because I felt too weighed down.Yet I also slipped out before i was forced out I am sure If I was forced out i would have been stuck to "walk' across.

So maybe we somehow need to purge or excess luggage before "we" are "recycled".

i always believed that the tunnel or white light led to a higher plain reality where a person would have a life review before moving onto the next incarnation, or not incarnating again, or nirvana to unite with the godhead.

That's an interesting idea. I've never thought of something like that. My mother had died for a minute when they were operating on her heart. She never said she saw a white light though. It could be different for everyone I would imagine. Depending on the depths of your believes maybe the light is brighter and the lack of believe leaves you not seeing a light?

That would be somewhat incorrect, because no matter if you have a mustard seed of belief in god...then you still believe so that would actually be a falsefied statement.

Sometimes under certain conditions people get to experience things they have no or little control of. Or something that they are really not ready to fully understand. One such experience is this white light or near death experience.

Close to death - see white light/ tunnel. So they must be related. Or so they think. This is a false assumption. I and a friend, he taught me, can see this white light on command. And you do not need to be near death to do this. Its an advanced yoga/tantric technique that is not taught openly. It is necessary to learn for other practices. But when the general public gets these little flashes, and after a dramatic or traumatic event, and the mind sends massive messages to the brain, well - it is not hard to see how things got confused. Its not as serious as you think it may be.

Topics like this are not exactly provable unless you die. It is all theory until then. Reincarnation, heaven, nirvana, seventh heaven, valhalla etc are all myths until someone comes back with something verifiable. What does the most loved most hated book say about things unseen? "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

i understand what you mean, but i dont think that's possible, because when a woman is pregnant, she already has a living being in her womb... i mean a being with a soul... and i dont think that the walking through that white path is something you can decide... i mean... if you are dying, it's because you finished your mission here... and you have to be prepared for next... you can't go back if you're not allowed to... because our souls look for perfection... that's my opinion...

right before we are born there is a moment of desperation to break out from the womb.

There was s ite before describing how it felt to die. Went through all different methods. Was quite interesting.

I have had a NDE and i did not see a light i really don't remember much. That is an interesting prospective of the child though.

I have had recurring dreams of my own death over several lifetimes. In that, everything fades into a brilliant white light and the commotion at my death becomes distant. I feel warm, safe and then I am born again. It is like a switch is flipped.

If you believe in memories of past life, perhaps these dreams are memories of my past deaths. I know this isn't exactly a near death experience, but the white light you mentioned interested me so I thought I would post this thought:)

Need I point out that when a person sees the white light, they are dead for only a short period of time, yet that a stillborn baby or miscarriage lives inside the womb for up to 9 months??? The child has a heartbeat and a soul, no matter how briefly it lives, even inside the womb!

The white light comes from your optical nerves picking up on the light around you while your brain is fighting to stay a live.

Believe what you wish, as it all helps to make death easier.

What says the time is same after you die? 1 secund on earth may be 20 years after death. Noone know. This topic was interesting i actually havent thinked on it that way.

i have heard of stories of the light at the end but i cant recall any cause ive never came close to death to no..

The "white light" as it has been called is actually the way that people see the veil that separates the two worlds. A spirit does not leave until it's physical body, meat bag if you will, until it has learned what it needs to learn this time around. However I do think that the thought behind this thread is a giant slap in the face of every woman that has ever had either a still born or a miscarriage and will end my thought on that before I get banned.

No one does know, but have you heard of anyone who experienced the white walk phenomenon who claimed to have been reborn and lived a life while they were dead? At least someone would have had some memory of a rebirth and another death... Perhaps the question you personally should consider is "can a soul be DEAD two or more times during the SAME time?"

Being a person whom has had that I recall 7 miscarriages (yeh that sounds bad but you start to lose count after a while) I can say that I tend to agree with SpiritHealer..... that is a bit of a slap in the face.... I will also say I agree in what he said..... The light is the veil.... I mean think about it.... how can you go through a door if you cant see that the door is in front of you? I do not think that a person leaves one life and JUMPS right into another all in the blink of an eye.....

My husband is a severe asthmatic. When he was 9, he died and was dead for almost a minute and a half. I asked him if he ever saw the white light or anything like that, he said no.

I think back to John Edwards, the one who speaks for the dead, not the political one. How many readings has he done and, supposedly, none of the spirits have told their loved ones what it's like. As many people that have claimed to communicate with the dead, not one of them has told us what happened when they passed.

Either there is no bright light, no spirits and all psychics are full of it OR they are real and there is some kind of rule that doesn't allow the spirits to enlighten us.

A friend to me told me his mother had a near deathexperience. The mother told him she had been in a white tunnel and meet her son that told her to go back. The thing is hers son is not dead he is living. Maybe the white light is somekind of dream between death and life?

That is a great way of looking at it. I have never thought about it this way. We always go on about our next life and how we have to leave our bodies to do this but never have I heard anyone talk about not accepting the leaving your body or return to it. I find your idea to be very interesting and gives a excerlant option on the stillborn.

It is just a theory. we dont know how the timescale is for a soul when it left the old body. Maybe it is the soul who choose new home after it leave the old one. Maybe it is so when a women born a dead child so have the soul that have choose the child decided to leave for a other one. And maybe the soul go over timezones when it leave to? What about if there is a civilisation that is going on 150 years in future at same time we live here? Maybe the souls jumps between timezones and therefore can make the theory i writed first in this topic logical? Who knows.

What I'm getting at is that some women never miscarry, while others among us miscarry 4, 5, or more times. If that were the case, this would NOT be happening to the SAME women over and over and over and over again!!! This is ~not~ because of a soul choosing to go back into its old body!

When you pass over, from all I have read over the years, and feel, we have a time of adjustment and review our last life and the lessons we learned, what we need to learn next time, should we decide to come back.

Also, that we choose our parents and who we are born to, in order to learn what we are here to learn. Sometimes we choose parents that will give us hard lessons and learn a lot in this life. Sometimes we choose parents that have gone through the same things we are to go through and they will be a support system to learn from, lean on. But we choose it. If a baby is born dead, then obviously it changed it's mind on the other side, or giving the parents a lesson of some sort. Maybe it's patience. And while that is happening, the parents and all involved are learning something in the process. Sometimes it takes a few steps back to see what that lesson is, however hard it is.

I don't think that sounds right. For one I think that a babies soul is there for longer than just before it is born so this makes no logical sense. I believe that it is there because the mother picks up on whatt he baby is like far before it is born. (at least the ones in my family have.) So logically if the soul were in the baby that long I don't thinkt eh original person could POSSIBLY still be alive an if they did come back to life it probably would not mater because they would most likely either not have a body to go back to or be in a coffin 5 ft under.

O yes and for those who are so attached to the person that they wait a few years to have them burried, most ways of preserving bodies are in such an extremem environment that if the soul WERE to come back they still wouldn't last long. The same as if the body were not there or if they were in a coffin... that would sure be a sucky way to die... burried alive.

If the soul was a micro universe of particles with in us fused with the electric impulse created by the joined sperm and egg the spark that starts a resonation and eventually aligns with a simular force in the head region "consciousness"then as we develop in the womb the cells develop from the "charge" aligned by the two poles. I have had a near death experience and iv seen the mentioned light tunnel.
However when I went through I was floating and didn’t have a body just seemed to be like a eye in my mouth. when I came round I was in my own body and had been out for a week and realized the pain my body was in … I fell from the top of a house two stories high lol
Apparently I bounced when I hit the floor.

Interesting view..but i have to say i was dead...and the pain went when i died..I didnt see ppl i love..i saw the light and a spriitual guide telling me to not be afraid..But i wasnt afraid..i saw the light and last thing i said to my stepmom was..let me go...and i tried to kick the dr in the face several times rite before ...It was a miraculous sensation to die..
When i came to..i found a nurse counting my pulse..and i had my son given to me by my stepmom...I have everything to live for ,4 wonderful children..my family ...I didnt excactly feel like an eye in my mouth..but i felt out of my body..in some sense its like a feeling of very deep meditation..just bit different..

i am sure the the child has a soul already when in the womb of its mother...and i dont believe we choose by our selves to go back. or forth just tht easily..its hard to describe ...its a feeling...

About a year ago I saw a program on the Discovery Channel about near death experiences. In that show they were trying to explain why people see the white like when they are near death. They said that there is some chemical in the brain that takes over some of the receptors especially when the body has experienced alot of pain or stress. This made people see the white light.

Oh yeah I forgot to add I have also been near death due to extreme bleeding. You feel your body drifting. My experience was quite different. I didnt see the white light nor did I see people I knew from the other side. My body flatlined for 2 mins. In those two mins I saw a birdseye view of myself on the hospital bed along with the doctors trying to revive me. All of a sudden I had a jolt back into my body and began to choke and took my first breath. For some strange reason I cant forget what happened.

I've had a couple of close calls, but never saw a light. maybe I wasn't close enough to death.

I watched a documentary about death a few days ago and it explained the 'white light at the end of the tunnel' people talk about in their near-death experiences. The white light is actually the result of neurons compacting together when the brain loses its oxygen supply (because of bloodlessness). From this, the person seemingly sees a white orb gradually going brighter at the center. I think I take this as the better explanation than rebirth.

That is an interesting concept and I do like the idea but at the same time I like a few other believe that life begins at conception and not at birth so that wouldn't work
