Incubi and Succubi have always been both a rapid interest, and a source of complete confusion to me.

There are so many questions...

What exactly are they (and no wiki articles please... lazy so and so's ought to put some effort into something,)...

According to myths and legends they are male and female spirit demons that enter an unsuspecting human's dreams in order to mate with them...

i will put a little effort in saying i always believed the sucubi were male and female forms of demons such as lilith,never thought they were in dreams but have heard it is suppose to be more than just in mind as if a spirit were taking you forceably,rape if you will.

There are three versions in mythology;

2. they devour souls

Spirit sex and pregnancy is possible, considering the fact that souls are born in the ethereal. We as souls in vessels called bodies, are latched on to the world of the "other side". If said spirits were to have sexual relation with us, then I would agree with the concept of spiritual pregnancy. How else would soul mates carry on.

I have frequent visitations …. Vivid dreaming … astral bodies … I call it a succubus, I have been drained in the past ans only half new what it was then one life changing night I was visited by two…. They were way boney not even close to human form and I was as horney as hell… nothing new. Lol

There are so many different types of...entities that fit the vague profile of incubi and succubi. The answers to your initial questions could all be yes. Different cultures had different theories regarding their own incubi and succubi.

I don't think there's a difference in the gender of these beings. I think it's given a specific sex according to its victim's gender. I also think that it just drains its victim's energy. I do not think it reproduces--not in the manner that humans do, at any rate. Perhaps the creature gathers enough energy from a host so that it can produce another spirit like itself.

No, their intent is not to conceive any offspring. They wouldn't be able to even if they wanted to, due to the fact they don't have a physical body. All they do is feed off of one's sexual energy. It's how they gain power, just like what psychic vampires do when feeding off of other's energy.

Succubi - are female Vampires whom feed thru sex. They are a corporal being that can apear as smoke or as a figment at times. They can get impregnated but I do not know if that would be by human or Incubi, the male of the species. I have asked that question before.

As far as I know, Incubi and Succubi come to unsuspecting victims and they feed off the sexual energy. They leave their victims drained and spiritually vulnerable.

I don't think they mate with humans to have offspring, I think they try and find others like them to have children.

You could call them either one. They could be spirit demons as in they "injure" the energy around your body when it is heightened during sex.

The age old tale of Incubi is that it is a male that visits a female in her sleep to take her virginity. The tale of the Succubi is that of a female visitor coming in dreams of young men to awaken there sexual desires at the time of puberty.
