Dear everyone, Dear anyone,

I know it has been a long, long time ago since I last posted a new message but there is something I feel like sharing. Also I would like to get your opinions as well.
A year I was a member of an other vampire forum. We also had deep discussions about vampirism there, that was until the numbers of visitors of that site decreased swiftly. One of the many issues we discussed was, how is was possible to become a vampire. One’s theory was that a true vampire is not bitten but that he or she is born with the vampire in themselves. He explained to me that the vampire would come out by serious emotional damage, you could say that the trauma would cause an opening or perhaps a transformation. I believe that he based his theory on the saying that ‘there lies evil in every soul’. His story makes sense in a way, but since I do not have the answer how men become a vampire, I do not know if this theory is near the truth or far fetched. I wondering maybe you could help me out?

Love, Amalia.

If you have ever read the Vampire Codex there is a small section on how people may have vampiric traits but are really not true vampires. One is damages in this or a past life that has caused aura damage and in order to survive and repair said damage they must get energy from another source as theirs is all going to repairing their aura. This is but a temporary thing any they may convince themselfs they have to feed to survive but they do not and believe a false truth.

I must say Nightgod. I think it can also be done thru emotional damage. As you will find that some Persons wishing to become a vimpire, have had some sort of emotional scaring.

Nightgod.. that is only 1 myth. (And one I dont readily believe in.. though as a Whitewolf storyteller for 10 years? yeah.. ive read it. Pure fiction.)

Bitten? Yes.. according to legends and lores.

Though I also believe in reincarnation that can lead to vampirism as well. A soul that just wont die and keeps going on and on and on.. and on.. and on......

I also believe a vampire can be awakened by emotional trauma, or any severe emotional state.. such a rage or loss.

Just my 2 cents.

I would believe that extreme trauma could cause a human to become a vampire, but would that be in this lifetime, or the next....I only ask because what if you believe that this is your only life....as in no reincarnation.....

I have not finished reading the codex, but I remember that part lown...It makes sense. I think that you can be born as one, but that you can be unaware of what you are, and be sired.

It is possible to block an awakening, but the chances are slim to none. It would take one that knows what you are taking measures to make sure you do not. Which might be concidered a type of "rape" of ones free will to chose for themselfs.

As to getting the codex goto the link I have placed (the second one as the first was mistyped) And it has a link to the aurthors website, as well as a link to amazon.com. It is only about $15 at the book store as well in the new age section, though not all book stores cary it and normally only a couple copies at a time.

the vampire can be awakend by emotional dammage,or a life ended in injustice, bitten perhaps, but really i think not the vampire is something in oneself that needs somthing from other humans to live.may it be blood, energy, revenge, love, pain ect.

Hi Lown,

What happens to ethics when it is a parent hypnotising a pre-teen child?

Could the parent not have a right, as it's guardian, to try and protect it form a psychological condition which is likely, if not certain, to cause it harm in adult life?

Stabb, It is a parent's or guardian's sacred job to protect their young. I feel that a parent who permits tampering with a child's mind has gone more than a few steps in the wrong direction. That would be altering the child's personality before you know what he/she will be.

The codex is pretty good.

From what I have been told, I have things that have been blocked away in my mind. I think that parents should let their children discover who and what they are, and not interfere in that

The codex when it first came out on the web was against the authors wishes, Father .. ,I forget him name, and a few that he knew put it out there and it was a text for her house only. Sense then she has revamped it (excuse the pun) and put a better but incomplete version on that website, which has come to be know as the Online Codex. The more full and complete codex ( which is almost the whole writings she uses in her house but with more defined sections left out) It the book "The Psychic Vampire Codex" still a very useful and knowledgeable book, but with a hidden purpose in its release. She released it in hopes of finding more members of her house.

I did not say that I agree with such things. I believe that one should be allowed to make their own choices. Messing with a persons mind is very dangerous.

In the case your suggesting. I would have to say it depends on what it is that they are blocking. Case not all emotional damage causes vampiric symptoms. Only great damage. But does it cause problems, sometimes yes sometimes not. It depends on how well the person handles it. And if you prevent someone from handling it you will never know and possibly hinder their growth as a person.

For a person is made up of their life experiences. If you stop one you change how a person might have been. Also if you go back and block one you change a person.

I ask this. If a parent does hypnotically block a traumatic event to "save" their child the torment of a traumatic event in their adult life, then raised them as if the event never occurred. And some event happened that triggered a flashback to the event and they remember and it causes them to have a mental break down and lose trust in their parents for what they did.

Did what the parents do was right. Did blocking it and letting the child grow up unprepared for such traumatic things and acting like nothing happen was a good thing. Or should they have let the child work it out in therapy and on their own terms so they could deal with such things later in their lives and not suffer a horrible flash back as what happened?

I do not know I am just throwing random thoughts on this out there for discussion. I know I would let my child work it out with me being their their whole life giving advice, but not being a crutch. Instead of blocking it with hypnosis. But that is me.

I think what the parent did was wrong. That is sheltering their child to the extreme. The parent should have prepared the child, or in this case, not have blocked the event in the first place

oooh, that gave me a thought . . . when some people go through something traumatic, perhaps their vulnerable soul are actually posessed by some sort of entity that makes them a "vampire". i don't know if that really makes sense, i'm just thinking out loud . . .

an extreme trauma could cause one to gain vampyre like traits, but to genetically change into a vampyre it would be virtually impossible, it is most likely to be a spychological change, and being bitten may also bring a sychological change not a phyisical or genetical one.

I think for the most part one should let your young ones live and grow on their own terms. I know how you feel I now have a 9 yr old daughter to look after as well as the rest of my great family. And I know what you mean by the need to protect.

But one must realize that sometimes the urge is falsely caused. Things that alot of people do in the need to protect the young, is actually then living out their own fears in their child. Think about it, would they have done those things if it was not first something they themselves feared?

But sadly all things come with experience. And some people fear experience and avoid it at all cost. hiding from ones fears leads to hatred and disillusion, which is never a good thing.

In a sense one can become a part of the condition through a certian amount of spiritual trauma. In this case, one is made into one. Yet, with this, it causes more harm then anything else.

Where we are born into the condition and eitehr awaken later in life or right at birth, those who gain the condition through such trauma tend to either A) Heal eventually or B) Suffer more and eventually become worse then anyone ever born into the condition.

Now if you look into the aspect of "There is evil in everyone" then one is suggesting that this is seen as some sort of punishment on a higher ground.

Yet, I do believe this is something that is religious or good and evil neutral. It doesn't matter what aspect or religion you are, we are, in any means, of the condition because we are brought into at one time or another.

OK, I have alot to input on this...but lets start here with a correction..

see previous posting:
The codex when it first came out on the web was against the authors wishes, Father .. ,I forget him name, and a few that he knew put it out there and it was a text for her house only. Sense then she has revamped it (excuse the pun) and put a better but incomplete version on that website, which has come to be know as the Online Codex. The more full and complete codex ( which is almost the whole writings she uses in her house but with more defined sections left out) It the book "The Psychic Vampire Codex" still a very useful and knowledgeable book, but with a hidden purpose in its release. She released it in hopes of finding more members of her house.

Father Todd, ONE of the founders of the Sanguinarium, was not the only person, nor creator of the writing that have come to be associated with his history, a very debateable one at least. Michelle Belanger, the author of many of the original works he claims full responsibility for, did in fact weite "The Psychic Vampire Codex"- this is NOT related to Father Todd...she does not agree with his actions, and disclaims association with him...her Codex and his, tho they may have some basic tenants of similarity, are not the same..and should not be confused as such.

Now, I wanna make it clear that I do not agree with either codex. I have never been one to follow any group...call me a solitary. IMHO, alot of the hype and misleading shite in todays communities stems from White Wolf fictional jargon...I don't get how so many can be so clueless and not know better, but hey thats just my opinion. *?* Like I've said before, vampires, however you wanna spell it, semantics. existed before any of those texts, or any of these groups...but in many cases these groups do help those in need.

As far as trauma, do we mean an accident type trauma? If you mean no, and it's just basic horrible shite that one may encounter, like puberty, or a bad drinking binge...well semantics again, an awaklening is bound to happen some way somehow sooner or later, not matter the cause.

As far as actualy trauma, like an accident, or death recussatation (sp), sure it could happen, take my husband for instance. Several years ago, he was interested, pulled, towards vamps, he had had several dreams and odd experiences since childhood, but at this one point, he was hit by a drunk driver in his car, and died on scene, was brought back, with severe trauma, in every sense, and he can tell you that tho he may not remember the accident, the night just before it, or a few weeks after due to coma, he can pinpoint that this accident as a timeline, did indeed mark his beginnings of having bloodlust and being vamp. In a sense, you could say it was all part of his awakening...

Now he cen occasionally feed from energy, like crowds, or anger, or sex, but he is far more limited to blood feedings than I am..sadly.

But when it comes to types of feedings, this will be a new post I'll start...myself I am not limited to one type...but I think that the ways we feed can change or grow according to our time being awake.

Personally I do not think trauma alone can make someone into a vampire. Nor do I believe you can be bitten or any of the otehr myths. Again this is my personal belief.

Now I do believe that someone that was born a vampire and had been ignoreing or denying this fact could be forced to accept it becuase of trauma or something along those lines.

But trauma alone.. no that I do not believe.

yes,but then one can argue that ANY trauma received in life, particularly at a youg age,can and most likely will effect the person in an adverse way.most serial killers are born from trauma and an abusive childhood.so vampire traits through trauma is not hard to believe.

Thats a very interesting concept... Maybe the emotional damage could trigger off something in the brain that could trigger off vampire-like symptoms. It seems possible.

how can it be said that psi vampires must feed to survive? as it seems that many claim to have an awakening point? well if this is so then how did they survive all this time before the awakening? complete bs. and if many desire to be vamps or an awakening experience how could it even be considered a pleasant experience or life change?

Well I don't see vampires as evil, but interesting theory :). I have noticed that with otherkin, the ones that seem to actually *be* other, tend to all have had really fucked up childhoods. What is up with that? And yes I mean those who show things besides a regular person with the same experiences or worse.

I have also noted that the best magicians are those who have gone through hell and back in their lives. Perhaps if your life is too comfortable, there is nothing to strive for, nothing to fight against, and all is comfy that you don't go looking very deeply, or you don't allow yourself past the comfortableness of normal human life.

Well some guesses anyways.

Night
