There are many here On Vampire Rave that claim to be Vampire's . I have allways been fascinated with Vampire's hence the very reason I ever looked into VR. I have a couple of question's I would like to ask those who claim to be either Sang or Psy Vampire's. I am not questioning if you are or not because what you believe for yourself to be true so be it. My question's are:

1. Does it run in your family?

2. If it does how far back have you been able to trace it?

3. Are you a Sang or Psy Vampire?

I personally do not think a person who say they are a Sang or Psy vampire is a real vampire, i think that a person who drinks blood or takes another persons energy, is not a true vampire they just like to do it...

And that's what I'm trying to understand. Perhaps asking more of a personal question we can get more of a clear answer.

RavenKnight, i'd be interested to know what you would class as a 'true vampire', if not someone who ingests blood or draws energy?

I class myself as a vampire, because I am capale of gaining energy either through the intake of blood, or via energy-drawing. I don't know if it was in my family, as the paternal side is inaccesible, and the maternal side is lost through adoption. As far as I know, I am the only one able to do this, but I have my suspicions that my mother is a latent Psi.

As far as I know it does not run in my family, most likely bloodlines would have nothing to do with it. But I'm not ruling it out.

I'm a Psi/Sang, I prefer to take in Elemental energy from Nature when I Psi feed. Blood donors are hard to find enough, but if I was able to find a constant supply of blood then I'd blood feed more often.

forgive me folk's... but I have to give my opinion in this one...
I've also been intrigued with that question, but I already understand what's going on...
lots of members really claim to be vampires, and thats alright... good to them...
but, I figure it out, that most of the members here, do not believe in real, supernatural vampires... yes, like the ones Hollywood represents, and I must say, badly...

I think that kind of thoughts, it is confusion some members... if you guys don't believe in that type of vampires... fine, but claiming yourself to be something that your not... I think that it's bad... drinking blood do not turn you into a real vampire, millions of people drinks blood and they don't consider them self's vampires... if someone eats a bone, he's going to be a dog? no... so, what's the point? this is only my point of view, and it is not to offend you guy's... think a little about that...

I know where you are coming from and I agree with you on some points. Not all the members here on VR that claim to be real vampires "are" real vampires. But there are those of us who indeed are real. I for one was born a vampire and later in life went through the awakening. I do not even consider myself as human, I do not have a human soul, though I may have a human body which to me is nothing more than a flesh, blood and bones shell as a vessel to carry my true vampiric self. I could go on and on on this subject but I'll leave it at that.

And that's more the purpose of me asking these questions. I am trying to understand where it comes from with the abilities that most Vampire's say they have I wonder if it is maybe passed down from family as with my family and I am not a Vampire.

The vampires here i have met are not like the hollywoods take on vampires, but yet living vampires the same essense of the fact what we do, drink blood or energy and our beliefs do run strong. It does not go back in my family yet a presence I do feel when energy is taken.

Not sure if this would help but when I was younger I always had strange feeling for something like in need for something. I love to eat and perhaps I thought its just food im craving for. But that didn’t seem to satisfy my longing for something. I new about this feeling then but nor did I want to tell anyone about and till this day it is unknown to my family. So bla bla not telling you my whole entire life, years went by and I had concluded that blood is what I needed after doing some research and studing. As I looked into it more deeply I learned about puerblood and half blood. So I started doing research on my mother side of the family and my father side(just in case) of the family. I soon found out the my mother side of the family her GG uncle which would be I think my grandfathers uncle I think, blood related and its not to far of a generation from I guess that he also had a need for blood. My grandfather told me that his uncle was like that and seemed awkward sometimes and its best to keep it hidden from family until there are ready to find out. So to conclude from what I wrote I think there are vampires and that there are pureblood and half blood and that it could mean that one of your family member had it…I also know that it can skip generation just because of the lack minerals needed in the body. Its some other scientific information I learned about too. And It it could be through bloodline.

I don't consider myself a technical vampire, but I do have tendencies that aren't normal. No, they don't run in my family. If you have to classify me as a vampire, I would say I'm a Psi vampire, but I do drink blood. It's just more of an erotic recreational sport for me =]

well, well, well... I need to reply again... :X
a few days ago, I post a thread about vampires being revealed in the bible, ok?
and I received lots of critics, and some of those critics were about the meaning of words, someone told me that vampires are not absolutely revealed in the bible, and one of the pretext he used was, that the word vampire, comes explicitly written on the dictionary... but here there is a counter-census, why? because we see lots of members claiming to be vampires, and the same members, do not believe in supernatural vampires, and the description on the dictionary about vampires, has nothing in common with your normal life...

now, I know that supernatural vampires exist, and if there is someone here in VR who is one... nice... I do know that they exist... but don't came telling that you are a vamp, if you are not a vampire that goes in accordance with the meaning of the word according to the dictionary...

here is the meaning in the dictionary: " a preternatural being, commonly believed to be a reanimated corpse, that is said to suck the blood of sleeping persons at night.
(in Eastern European folklore) a corpse, animated by an undeparted soul or demon, that periodically leaves the grave and disturbs the living, until it is exhumed and impaled or burned."

are you one of this vamps? no? well, you are not a vampire, or else, the meaning of words, worth nothing...

and I picked the same philosophy of one of you, guys...

and forgive any bad english, since I'm portuguese, I make mistakes... I could be writing in portuguese, but non of you would understand... sorry

Thank you for all that information malakh.

What do you think of Vampiric abilities if I may ask?

I have always been told that special abilities usually come from someone in the family.. that they are inherited. It makes me think that with so many Vampires here with all their abilities that perhaps it would be inherited by a family member or that they have passed it down to other son's/daughters. But thus far there seems to be no connection

I know that some powers passes by from parents to son's and so on, but this type of powers as nothing in common with vampires, or else, millions of persons are vampires, and therefore the word, loses his significance... that type of powers that most of the members here, the ones claiming to be vampires, have, are powers that any one can achieve, with the right knowledge... but, when someone turns into a real vampire, well... the powers that you see in the movies, like Interview with the Vampire, will be theirs, and more... they can do certain things that even the movies, does not show, because they do not know about that... I can tell one, they have the power to transform into another person, change their appearance to look someone else...

I do not have the need for others to believe in me, I win nothing with that... I believe in the God of the Bible, I believe in Jesus and I believe in eternal life... and that's enough for me...

I understand what you're saying malakh and thank you for taking the time to explain to me what you think about this.

I too believe in God. But everyone here allready knows that. I have never made it a secret. And that is good enough for me as well. But I am here aren't I? And that is because I am curious about other things and I am only human claiming to be nothing else.

That last post helped me understand to a degree thank you.

Still there is that question that I would like someone to answer and that I am curious about....is anyone else in thier familyliving the Vampiric life as they do be it Psy or Sang? Do they feel that it may have been inherited? Because I guess since everyone talks about the first Vampire and the bloodlines I would imagine that there would be a connection somewhere.

Well as I said earlier before that it can be passed down from a family member or it can be inherited. It doesn’t have to be through parents, it can also skip generations. If you go on this maybe it can give you some ideas and answer to some of your questions.Sorry if I could not link it right, you just have to copy and paste.

I dont think that people can be "vampires". Nobody can transform into a bat or instantly burn in the sun, or live for fivehundred years. I think however that some people have an insatible lust for blood, they go crazy withour human blood in their systems.

Playeron….i think that there are vampires because as many years had gone by the meaning of vampire has changed dramatically over time that they finally came to a conclusion that vampires is the corpse of a recently dead person which had also made me believe that there is a lot of fakes out there too. But of course some people have the need for blood and/or some kind of energy that keeps them alive. I strongly believe that it runs in the family only because my proof is that someone in my family had the same problem as I have. I also believe that having the need for blood or of some sort of energy doesn’t have to be run down in the family, for many many years before 20th centaury how was the vampires then came to be about. It probably was the cause of being turned and or being forced. I also know some harmless ways to feed too and some kitra who are willing to donate. I am a harmless soul as long as you don’t bother me for any reason. For some people it wasn’t their choice to live this way and for others…well some really do have the need for blood/energy and some are just fake.

Personally I think that anyone who goes online and say that they are a vampire is talking blarney, but I'm so over arguing about it that now I just nod my head and politely say, "right".

My belief is that vampires are as they have always been, dead corpses that rise from the grave to suck the blood of the living so that they may remain 'alive'. Please don't argue with me, I'm not interested in getting into a heated conversation over it.

Hello and thank you all for posting. I don't wish to get off track, but I don't mind hearing what you have to say either.

I don't want to talk about whether or not you believe you are a vampire or whether or not you have supernatural gifts. I apologize if I worded my entry in such a way to have made anyone think thats what I was asking.

I do however appreciate the posts that have stayed on the topic.

I do believe that bloodline has alot to do with our charateristics and personality and without a doubt we all know our physical health. The very reason I am asking.

We have managed to put together a geneology book with our family and it was years of tracing back and alot of hard work but very rewarding. You would be surprised what you find.

Again and again the same thing crops up....There are no immortals in todays world.Everyone dies...Vampirism is a life style. There are those who feed of energy and those who drink blood.Till now it has been prooven that it is impossible to drain energy from blood. One drinks blood for emotional gratification.....And all those who claim to be real vampires please put something better than photoshopped pics in your portfolio...Cloring your eyes in a different color and drawing fangs will not convince anyone...Role playing is fine but please keep it limited to profiles...Its sometimes fun reading them....Now back to the querry. As for bloodlines i don't think its necessary for one to become a vampire if your parents or forefathers are one..Recently i read that all the human beings on Earth came from an African Woman...Scientists have traced our line to Africa...

This has turned out to be a good thread. Nicely done.

For me im here at VR to make connections with good people, who are a bit more then ordinary pagans or low level mages.

The thing about me being a vamp is attributed to me being told by a variety of psychic type people, only a small number I actually trust is that back in the day in my bloodline my ancestors used to do vampiric rites and blood magicks etc...being of northern celt and italian decent...DUH....But as for the essence of my nature, my spirit as it were, its opened up a pathway to something else about my inner self. It would go to seem that through my rites and what not i have been able to awaken the genetic coding for my old forgotten ancestral stuff and be able to pull of some interesting bits of "stuff" as it were.

I can do both sang and psi feed. Preferably i am good at doing it both together during certain sexual acts to bring both out of the person with all their energy. Its quite effective to get me the recharge I need when I am not choosing to get on the elemental band wagon and be all unstable moody cause i sucked to much energy off of one or more element.

As per something soulshroude said in another thread, could have been this one. About vampire having normal effects like everyone else, yet suffer migrianes from the walk down Burbon street on a particularly sunny day or after its been a rich evening of people and the scents of everything is heavy in the air. It doesn't happen to me often. There are those I have meet from out of state i have watched it happen to. But i just get the happy welts and blotches from the sun, and get to see every vein up my arms and down my legs when exposed to certain florescent lighting....thats a fun one to explain to people if they notice...heh. Good thread.....very fun.

Infernalmage.. thank you I'm glad you understand what I am asking. I have thought about this alot and it seems to me that there would definately be a connection with bloodline /family. I guess it's not just a question for Vampire's per say because there are all kinds of people here on VR. I am interested in finding out how many of all the people that say they have gifts or traits of whatever actually know if it has been inherited or believe it has been or visa versa.

No worries, I still gotta reply to the question :P

In obersvation of myself and others such things will be passed from both parents. It tends to build up more and more if people with the tendencies breed with others like them who have a bit of the art come natural, and then it will get thinned out if you breed with someone who doesn't have it, or have much.

This can come and go depending on the child involved. From the long line of both male and female not just down one line. It may be true that the moms side has more juice then dads side, but Dads side might have something from way far back that had juice and is still remembered by the genetic memory of the DNA so combined in the kid, the juice from mom and the dormant juice from dad, can mix in the kid and you have a baby who has more power then both mom and dad because both has latent power in the genes which when brought together, created anew power out of both.

Precognition, Postcognition, remote viewing, all these things can be learned by meditation and awakening the fundemental DNA strands. It would then go to show that one who could open up their genetic memory would be able to have the full range of gifts from both male and female parent ancestral lines, cause like an elephant DNA never forgets, it just goes dormant or gets mutated along the way.

*Smiles* thank you. You said it best. I would think that with some research people/vampire's/witches/ or whoever would be surprised in what they find.

It's an open library with our family we all share what we all experience and we all know where certain traits/characteristics etc. come from.

I do not believe that Sang Vampires are born i think they make themselves do it on their own, i do not see how a sang vampire could be born, but i could see a psy vampire being born and it running in the family...

Thank you for your posts and interest in this thread however I have to say I am a bit surprised that more people haven't stepped up to give root to their claims. This puts a different view on the lifestyles and beliefs people have about who and what they are. I'm just saying it allows me to view it differently. I expected Vampirism would go much deeper with traits, bloodlines, characteristics and personalities rooted to family.

a lot of people think that. the fact that it doesnt run in families (least not often in my own research) has lead me to believe the theory that vampirism maybe be tied to energy imbalances/defects. esp in the second chakra area. but this is just from what ive seen from myself and others who ive been allowed to study.

im a sang vampire. its does not run in my family. i need blood very much so. i wish i could feed otherwise but eh.... i cant.

Once again, my favorite subject comes into play. While Gautham and Infernalmage have summed it up thus far, I will not lurk on the after thought.

As it is inherited through the generations, sometimes skipping a couple, I can and have traced my roots back to the times of the Greeks and Old Germania's. Through the times when the Shuttenjager existed.

As most well know by now, I will not mention my "feeding" habits...As it is like talking about sex...Leave it behind closed doors. Not your affair. But I will delightfully say that it certainly has nothing to do with your "sang" or your "psi".

Both of these words are hollywood, and old folklore style. Would you perhaps believe everthing you read and watch on the telly? I think not.

I am not trying to sound like a know it all, or even pompous, but sometimes a bit of common sense is fathomable.

Heredity comes within the genetic structure of the body, some times that structure may mutate and give certain generations what society would percieve as certain "powers". Like that of living longer than the average (the feeling of repeating myself now, lol) individual. those of this genetic structure age slower, but are by no means immortal.

I have mentioned in previous threads about a certain genetic code, about chromasomes and whathaveyou. All scientific, nothing fantastic about it.

Those other powers such as clairvoyance may come into play, reading the aura...These factors are simply that of being a bit more atune, and somewhat sensitive to outside sources.

No one can turn another into a vampire...You are who you are. Those of whom are out there, know what I am talking about.

As for the "awakening" this is another excuse to be something within a fantasy world...But as it is the closest word for coming into maturity with this something hereditary, I see no reason as to why not to use it. I would simply deem it as coming into awareness of perhaps a mentality towards life. Could be one way of looking at it.

How long, and at what age I have know? Since I was a child, my family tells stories of older generations, hinting at that certain something. But never actually saying it is within us. Though my great grandmother and grandfather thrice removed always talked about it as though it were just yesterday. The stories I could tell you I am sure.

But again, those stories are for differant threads. Just my two cents, take them for the hay pennies they are worth.

Fascinating thread. My maternal grandfather drank animal blood. I always attributed it to "the old ways" read backward ways of growing up poor and not wasting a shred of the animal.

He also liked brains. Oh, and he was bisexual, a child molester and an adulterer. On the plus side, he took care of my grandmother when she was paralyzed with rheumatoid arthritis.

As far as I know, no one else has inherited his blood drinking, brain eating tendencies. Several grandchildren are bisexual vegetarians, however.

I greatly appreciate the last few posts. It's nice to know that there are a few of you out there that actually know what I'm talking about.

Those are the kinds of things I have been talking about, when you hear things growing up and you see things as a child, those things that have everything to do with who you are now. I believe there has to be a connection.

As far as i know i am the only one in my family that show these traits.

Me, I am a vampire feeding psi or sang , but prefer energy to blood, but every once in a while I get a bloodlust and must have blood to calm it.

As far as the genetic or heradity aspect not sure I know there are many traits passed down due to genetics and heredity, but another way to look at it is what if it is in re-incarnation?

Then it would be in the soul or spirit of the person and would have nothing to do with genetics at all, because all the body truly is is a shell for our soul or spirit. Which would indicate why it could skip generation's at a time.

As far as vampire's being undead and living forever i believe the dictionary should be revised on that and that all vampire's drink blood. Maybe at one time all vampire's did drink blood , but it was too hard to come by or too dangerous to get and that is why there may have been an evolutionary change , so the species could survive and flourish. This has been seen in many species to adapt to changes over years to be able to survive.

I am a sang and psy. vampyre and as far as I know, it does not run in my family. I have never asked any family member if they are of not because of the belief structure of my family, which I do not follow or practice, and the way of thinking that my family has. It would not surprise me if some were, but I have never asked nor has anyone gossiped about another family member saying something about it. Hope this helps you, CLIX, and others. Carpe Noctem

AtreyuDraconis.....you should be proud of who you are.

I certainly hope this question doesn't offend or make anyone feel like I am threatening their intelligence or their lifestyle. In fact the reason I asked this question is so that I may have some insight and understanding on something I know nothing about.

I would describe myself as a sanguine Vampire. I was 'awoken' so to speak by someone I met when I was 14. This was also the first time I tasted human blood that was not my own.

It is perfectly possible for me to go for some time, even years between blood feeding, although the payback for this is that I am frequently ill, tired and irritable at times. I substitute blood feeding by feeding through other means.

Of course nothing beats the thrill of a blood donor but despite having many offered to me few reach my high standards.

I am fully aware of the modern dangers of this act and my feeding partners are also my sex partners, as the two are indivisible to me.

You have to treat all blood play and feeding with the upmost respect and care that is deserves. I use sterile medical equipment and dispose of them after use.

1. Does it run in your family?

I have studied my family tree and see no evedence of any vampirism.

2. If it does how far back have you been able to trace it?

I have traced my family back only about 150 years but see nothing about it.

3. Are you a Sang or Psy Vampire?

I'm definately not a Sang vampire but I have tried the psy vampire thing and have felt a minor energy level increase.

- How would one determine if anyone they are related to has had vampire tendencies? I mean who would even discuss such a thing?

Perhaps not all families are alike and I understand that some people wouldn't discuss it. I suppose my family is very open and we all discuss things very freely with each other.... we know where certain personalities, traits, illnesses, character and such come from. I really don't see that it would be so unusual to find these things out by discussing them with your family.

Vampires. Blood sucking beast shrieking through the night, or are they
more. Vampires are said to be supernatural creatures roaming the night,
but they can be much more as you shall see.

So have I got this right, put in layman's terms, a vampire that eats energy. They are mortal, have a reflextion, and are only SENSITIVE to light. They can go out in the sun and eat garlic and touch roses. They need energy, though. They take energy through life and prana, not blood. When a sang vamp needs food, it may sometimes resort to pys means. A mix of both is a hybrid. They don't neccesarily LOOK like a vamp, thats a vampyre that looks like one. A vampyre doesn't need blood or energy and might not even be into that area, they just have a "vampire fetish." A sanguivore can also be called a sang vampire or sang vamp and needs blood.
