1st of what it is and why do you feel we should be discussing it? It is hard to discuss something that people may not know about.

sorry about that, i dont have a big vocabulary as you all might have already noticed :) im wondering if he has a gift of doing what he is doing, or if its a gimmic, theres people who travels from all over the world to get this healing, i know someone who knows someone who went to him and walked away and got this healing, yet again to each there own with beliefs but im just wondering what your opinions are... hope this exsplains better

"Angley's activities in Southern Africa, in particular his claims that AIDS and other dreaded diseases can be cured by God's healing power, have provoked hope in some and outrage in others. In March of 2007, authorities in South Africa cancelled an advertising campaign for Angley's ministry, based on lack of medical documentation for actual healing of AIDS through prayer. [2][3]

My entire family are really big Christians, I'm actually surprised I'd never heard of him before. Healing AIDS is kind of a big deal.

what I mean is....is he an American ?...I ask because I would think it would be much harder to 'fake' results outside of USA etc.

Every one has their own beliefs and I do not mean this to offend any one, but I think it is just a gimmick...I think it is fake, but that is only my oppinion.

I have actually watched the Ernest Angley show on tv before, and i think it is a total scam, i mean this guy stands in front of tv cameras and tells people that he can actually heal them with the power of god, and he tells AID's victims that he can take away the AID's, and to be honest some of the people that he heals looks like shills to me...

He has been around for years. For a long time he was on the fringes, less exposure than Oral Roberts or Jimmy Swaggart. Less charisma than even Jim Baker. He just never got caught up in any scandal so he has cruised right along. He is the modern day version of a snake oil salesman. He sells hope and dreams, pockets the cash and leaves nothing but loss of faith in his wake.

I can hope he is healing, but as they say beware a false prophet .

To me, this has crook written all over it. If he actually does what he claims then its great, but I don't believe it.

It would seem to me that there is something up with it. I find it hard to believe "faith healers" of any sort. They are mostly in it for the hype and the money.

His ministry is located right here in Ohio. He is a scam artist. There is no validity in what he does. He is a good speaker, and a low end used car salesman. He cannot heal ppl. He does not have any special powers. But maybe the power of suggestion in which we all have. He cannot heal anyone in Jesus' name, because he never existed! It's another concocted story to keep us spellbound and under the control of the illuminati. His exact story was stolen from the ancient egyptian god HORUS! And the same goes for Moses, his story was stolen from THUTMOSIS. That's how I know that they are all full of shit. I agree healing aids is a big deal but at the same time I don't think it has as much to do with him praying over them or whatever he does I think it is more the power of positive thinking. Who knows what the mind is capable of we only use 10 % of it and no one knows for sure what the other 90% can do. But positive thinking has been known to heal many other ailments

I haven't heard of him, but I think it's like anything else. Some of the evangelist types that claim to heal probably can, but I doubt that all of them can. I think some of them are just putting on a good show.

Personally I think it's a big ol' bowl of BS. It's only been in the last few years that I've claimed Athiesm, and if prayer healed, my dad wouldn't have gone blind. Everyone, the entire church, strangers, everyone prayed for him.

I find this all to be a pack of lies and tricks. I come from a long line of Christian families. This just doesn't set right in my craw.

While I want to believe that some people might have certain powers --- kind of like having a green thumb --- I don't believe that healing power is infallible.

By infallible, I mean such a power could not be produced on cue, for the waiting audience and the cameras.

The power of belief within a person is very strong, and I do think there are situations where an individual has roused their own body to do significant healing.

This guy, and most evangelists, are charlatans. They rob poor people of their money and give them false hopes.

In the case of Angley, he's also murdering people and spreading HIV if he dissuades them from western medicine.

I have seen this guy telling people to put their hands up to the tv set and he would heal them on the air, but the funny thing is i have also seen it while it was on reruns of the show to me that just does not sound right, i think all he does is give out false hope to people who trust what he is saying...

I guess, first off, that I have a little trouble making a connection between this thread and "Threads about Vampire Rave or of a vampire, gothic, occult, or paranormal nature." Meaning I think this belongs in the sandbox.

Secondly, I think you will get very few people who can prove conclussivly that they entered this man's presence with a diagnosed organic illness, were "healed" by him and then had a physician confirm that the illness was "cured".

I do believe that a "Miricale Cure" IS possible through prayer, etc. However I DON'T believe it can be performed "On Demand" by anyone. My faith is such that I believe what happens in life can be delt with, no matter what the outcome. God does answer all prayers, but sometimes the answer is "No".

KCRC, I suppose healing someone through the power of an entity would be consider paranormal. Don't you agree?

First, I would like to point out that this could possibly cause a lot of false hope in people and that just sucks. Imagine dying from AIDS and going to this guy to get cured and then nothing happening. :(

Second, I too find it hard to believe because...well, I don't believe in God. Not in the Christian sense anyhow. So according to my own beliefs this would be impossible.

Third, I strongly feel that if this is indeed happening that it is probably due to the power of the mind. Mind over matter. Yes, I do believe this is possible. I believe you can think yourself well if you want it bad enough, you believe hard enough, and you're strong enough in mind to do it. The mind is a very strong and mysterious thing.
