In many different cultures colors have been used as different meanings, and our Aura's are the very same. If you were to pick a couple colors based on the following information, why? What makes you believe it would benefit you? How would this affect you?

If you already know your aura colors, then how do you believe it has affected you?

Basic Color Meanings

Black - binding, defense by repelling dark magick, reversing spells and thought forms into positive power, general defense, pessimism, feeling bound, reversing, uncrossing, binding negative forces, discord, protection, releasing, grounding, focusing, calming, shapeshifting, steadying on a physical plain, opens energy channels from feet, cold, solidity, sleep, rest, coolness, Center Earth, bottoms of feet.

Grey - same as black, but not as extreme, opens energy channels down legs to earth, slightly less solidity than black and more movement, Middle Earth, lower leg.

Brown - calming emotions and body, opens energy channels down, lightly grounds and focuses, peacefulness, nurturing, safety, warmth, calm, placidity, attract money and financial success, influence earth elementals, concentration, balance, ESP, intuition, study, success, special favors, influencing friendships, amplifies earth magic and psychic powers, common sense, Surface Earth, upper leg.

Red - breaking through mental conditioning, creating rapid change, empowering action, energizing, passion, career goals, lust, survival, driving force, creating heat, work with heart/blood/circulation, warmth, fire, high action, energy, physical love, health, strength, sexual potency, courage, willpower, conquering fear or laziness, 1st Chakra, Root Center, base of spine, heart, blood, circulation, energy down to upper leg, A7.

Pink - energizes, warms, anti-depressant, peaceful, relieves stress and disharmony, gentleness, true love, caring, nurturing. planetary good will, friendship, healing, affection, romance, spiritual awakening, healing of the spirit, togetherness, center of chest, heart, any part that needs gentle change, Heart Center, energy down to base of spine.

Orange - lightly energize, up creative energy and sexual energy, warmth, sexual energy, activity, fire, change of luck, power, control of the situation, general success, property deals, legal matters, justice, selling, encouragement, adaptability, stimulation, attraction, sudden changes, drawing good things, sudden changes in luck, pelvic area, 2nd Chakra, spleen, Sexual Center, stimulates 2nd Chakra, A6.

Yellow - ups male energy and willpower, manifests creative energy on a physical plane, lifts depression, works on lungs/breathe/life-force, warmth, air, memory, logical imagination, accelerates learning, breaks mental blocks, activity, sunlight, creative energy, 3rd Chakra, power of mind, sudden changes, intellect, imagination, power of the mind, confidence, gentle persuasion, action, attraction, concentration, inspiration, navel area to top of head, strengthens 3rd Chakra, A5.

Green - relaxing, cools fevers, relaxes muscles, calms emotions, physical healing, strengthens heart and ability to love, earth, generosity, prosperity, nurturing, cooling, calming, marriage, relationships, practical creativity (particularly with the hands), balance, fertility, growth, Mother Earth, tree and plant magick, personal goals. abundance, money, good fortune, wealth, success, renewal, heart, areas that need cooling, chest, 4th Chakra, Chest Center, A4.

Blue (light-med) - astral travel, relaxing stress (esp. in jaw neck and shoulders), ups compassion/verbalization skills, removes headaches and fever, sky, joy, lightness, vibrant, repose, astral, truth, water, good fortune, inspiration, occult power, protection, understanding, good health, happiness, peace, harmony in the home, fidelity, patience, wisdom, healing, journeys or moves, neck throat, base of skull, ears, jaw, 5th Chakra, Throat Center, A3.

White - can be programmed, have all color so all uses available to them, can energize, harmonize, heal, and expand capabilities, clarity, brilliance, light, ice, etheric, endless potential, ever-changing, purity, spirituality, greater attainments in life, truth, power of a higher nature, wholeness, sincerity, spiritual undertakings/guidance, direction to the right paths, calmness, becoming centered, seeing past all illusions, the Goddess, higher self, purity, peace, virginity, energies higher than crown, Higher Energy Centers.

Gold - (or very clear light yellow) great fortune, intuition, understanding, divination, fast luck, financial benefits, attracts higher influences, male energies, see also yellow.

Silver - (or very clear light gray) removes negative powers, victory, stability, meditation, female powers, the Goddess, astral energy, telepathy, clairvoyance, intuition, dreams, developing female powers.

Copper - professional growth, business fertility, career maneuvers, passion, and money goals.

Magenta - a very high vibrational frequency that tends to work fast, the God, male power, promotes winning, happiness, usually used with other colors, quick changes, spiritual healing, and exorcism.

The colors above can be what your aura is colored most of the time and people will have more than one color. I don't know how to tell what color your aura is.

What I find interesting is when the energy colors will change with our emotions. Here are some basics on that.

Abstinence/Sobriety - purple, black.
Children/Fertility - green (esp. spring green).
Confidence - royal blue.
Courage - bright red.
Friendship - royal blue, gold, golden brown, tan.
Healing/Health - medium green, rose.
Home (new) - orange, sunlight yellow.
Home (blessing) - rose, gold.
Home (purify) - white, light blue.
Hope - sky blue.
Inner Peace - light blue, lavender, white.
Joy - rainbow.
Love - rose.
Money/Prosperity/Wealth - gold, emerald green.
Protection (physical) - blue.
Protection (psychic) - silver.
Spiritual Growth - violet, purple, lavender.
Success - gold, royal blue.

I went through a troubled time and now my aura is a faded pink/purple color with some grey streaks in it. A while back it was a bright pink/purple color.

I see auras of both people and trees but I mainly see them like clear bubbles.

i have no idea what my aura is how do you find out ? i am new to all of this

i posted an earlier thread on auras a few weeks ago as well. I know mine has always been blue tones. but i generally also have " sparks " above my head, but then most people that have high energy generally do.

i am usually any spectrum of blue as well as green thanks to you info it makes perfect sense as to why very insiteful

I don't know how to find out, there are people that do read them, as well as places to go. I just don't have the information for every place.

the way to find out your aura is ether you have the ability to see it yourself or someone who has that hability, I can see aura and I can see mine.

I go from white to yellow. I find it interesting to know, even if I dnt see my sefl as pure and virgin inside...I mean we all sort of have a line of black somewhere or dark green.

Then again most fo the time I never saw an aura pure, or one color only, they all have some sort of line close to the body itself then acolor dominante larger and in the end somehow like a tip of the aura another color to complet the person.

This lists is more "fluff" and internet-trash then helpful. Its about as simple as eating baby food!
Don't waste your time on it.

You create an aura because of you are literally batteries giving off an energy field. This charge varies so much that you will not have one single color aura. Sorry folks. Your real aura has many layers and will look more like a hurricane in still mode! Because each organ in your body also gives off vibrations due to its health, you can see how each organ is doing. Rips, tears, holes, they all show to the train eye. It is not always pretty and never all one color. If you see black in someone's aura, it means cancer. Not a color that you want to have.

"Stuff" can also get picked up in the aura and need to be removed. A shower helps and so does smudging. This will show as a dirt color or muddy.

I have personally never seen an aura as a color or multiple colors. I can sense when someone’s energy is really negative or really positive but that is it. I would like to find out more about seeing auras in color. I think that might be interesting if you didn’t have to do it all the time.

I haven't been able to see auras lately that and im not paying attention anyways. Usually mine is a deep blue but I dont know what it is lately.

You can find someone that is gifted in seeing auras, as to how to find those people. I guess you would have to say that is pure luck.

Billy, I'm sure what you say is true and but everyone has that outer layer that is multiple colors to show what abilities they have. I am not talking about the multiple colors that are inside of the aura. I do however thank you for your insight. ^.^

one way is finding someone who claims they can "see" auras and asking them to look at yours. Remember that color. Then ask them to look at some of your friends auras. At a latter time, ask them to look at yours again, if they say the same color, you found one. Its is very unlikely that a person will remember a random color they assign you for more than a couple minuets. Just play a testing game with them.

it is incredibly interesting. and from what i hear it is very expensive to get your picture taken to capture your aura.

I see people's auras. I might see a clear light halo around thier head. I have seen a clear dark halo around others. I think the aura colors are relative to the shakra system colors.
I have seen that smokers have grey, or brown dominant in thier aura.
If you want to lighten the aura take a bath with baking soda. i burn sage any time i take on to much energy.
i am experimenting with aura watching, it is fun. I relax and gaze.

Hmm... I wish I could know what my aura color is... I have a mood ring though and it's almost always a dark blue with blackish... It doesn't change often because most of the time I am relaxed and laid back. But yea, I wish I could know my true aura color. :/

Btw, do you think one that could see an aura could see it through pictures? Like, just by looking at the person would they be able to see the aura colors around them?

My nephew has a genious IQ and can see auras..he told me once when i lived there years ago my aura was red with some yellow in it ..

Aura's can't be seen by regular camera's you can't capture something like that in a still format. So, it's impossible to do it that way.

I didn't mean it in that sense. What I am trying to ask is if a picture was taken of someone would someone be able to sense their aura? Not by seeing it but by sensing... Or is that not possible at all?

I see what you are saying... In order to see an aura you have to sense their energy right? A picture is just a picture, there's no energy there... It's a special type of camera that is sensitive to electro-magnetic fields. I'm sure the film is made sensitive that way too. Aura's have your constant color when you're calm, then they change with your mood, or if you're sick or not. How often is dependant upon your environment, people around you, and your personality.

I have heard about this from several people over the years but never knew how a person actually does know their aura colours. I mean do they just choose them or do they actually see a person in those colours? It has always interested me but found it confusing as well.

Each person has a set of colors that they put off by their outer rings of energy. You don't get to choose your color, and people do see them, some of them do. Whatever is inside of the aura is an entirely different thing. This info. is only about the aura as a general, not all the layers.

ive been told by someone who can se auras that mine is a bright white with a purple core and yet if heard different

i think our aura changes color with how we feel, the mood we are in etc etc. Just because our aura is a certain color one day doesnt mean it will be the next. so it all tends to depend on how we feel at the time.

The Shining, people seeing aura's has nothing to do with what they drink or eat. It has everything to do with how sensitive they are to energy like an aura. It's hard to see it because of how seeing it's energy. So, you can imagine how had it really his to find someone that can do it.

Finding out if someone is bad or good, is not depend upon a color. It is depend upon their energy, and even then you won't really know. Most people you will find are either really negative, really positive, or neutral. So, there is no way to really tell if someone is bad or good. Their intentions toward you is evident in the way they act towards you.
