i believe that there is only magick,now if you know how to use it 'wicca wise'
it may be good and if you just using it to hurt ppl or just as an easy way how to get things its bad cos you arent calling upon natures help.....plus nature can go in both ways.....it always balances things out with its own ways

Yes there is black and white magic. Basically it's 'good' and 'bad'. I'm too sleep deprived to go any deeper than this right now.

As you said, magick is magick-- it's how you use it that matters.
You can have it for dark purposes or light, but it is the effects themselves that are good or bad.
Remember, there are those who practice dark magick-- as I do- that -only- pertains to the night time, and light magick meaning during the daylight hours.
In the end, it's all personal preference.

Yes it is inevitable everthing in nature has an opposite force to each other and so does magick you can use plants to heal ppl or you can use different plants to kill ppl.They both grow and can be used to heal or destroy but maybe its how ppl use the magic which kmakes it goo or bad so maybe there is no dark/light magic only how we use.

I agree. There is not separate realm for White or Black... Its is both because nature is both. There is nothing you can do about it. Now if one deliberatly seeks out the darker side (meaning being a general asshole and making people croak, not practicing in the night time hours *wink nara*) I refer to that as "Cranial-Rectal Inversion" Magick...

I agree with Nara about the whole magick just being plain and simply magick, it just depends on how and what you use it for that differentiates it from being classified as either good or bad. Most people like to have clearly drawn lines that separate one thing from another, like obviously the whole evil and good and dark and light concept. They don't want to believe that they are really one and the same, well for the most part anyway.

Basic knowledge would tell anyone that true magick is not black or white. But the persons soul who uses the magick is black or white. Using a universal magick that resides in all to do either good or bad. All are capable of white and black magick, though it is neither white or black in all honesty.

well from my expirence (cant spell for toast!) there is dark arts and white magick as well as green magic witch is earth magic. there is no technical dark and white magic, it is all in the heart of the caster.

black and white are not good and evil. merely absence of colour. christians seem under the impression that white is a sense of purity but it's not. and that black is the colour chosen to represent the devil but it's not. therefore magic is not black nor white it is an absence of colour and there is no difference, merely different consequences for the actions we chose to take.

Agreed - magic is neither black or white, but a colorless shade which manifests into the intent of the user. It all has to do with the material and intentions of the practiscioner. Magic is what you make out of it.

I'm with Khayman on this one. Magick is neither black nor white, because nature is neither. Just as people are neither completely good nor evil, magick cannot be totally to one extreme. It is a balance.

ok normally i jump on thease topics...but somehow this one missed my mental radar.....though I have hit the topic often in other threads...magic simply is......it is a force of nature...like all others....is a storm evil because it destroys?no...it simply is.....
magic however has the added stigma of being controlled to the ends of others......
but again..it is not the magic being dark or light.....I won't say black or white as I agree with my lady on the colour thing..
but it is the user who sets it to a dark or light purpose.....and sometimes magic set to a good purpose without being well thought through can cause bad thinkgs to occur....cause and effect.....
so think hard on the reasons for it's use....
can the effect you want be caused without resorting to magic?....

Anyway, it is in my experience that there is no such thing as "white" or "black" magick--only magick. What "form" it takes is entirely up to the whim of the user/practitioner.

there is a difference between black and white magick for the people who perceive there to be a difference. and for the people who dont perceive a difference, then there isnt one...i personally dont see a difference...at least in my current paradigm.

i practice in both light and dark majik and it depends on the spell because there is a long list of spells that can never be used for any good, but rember what ever you send out will always come back 3 times over ~X~

Well first of all there is dark witchcraft but that doesn't mean it's evil, it's people's narrow mindness that thinks it is,cause whenever someone hears the word dark, always has to believe it's evil -_-.

As for white and black,well there are bad spells which are labelled as black magic cause they are evil,and good spells which are labelled as white.

However magic can be also labelled as grey cause a good spell can turn to a bad one.

Well I think that instead of saying black and white and whatever colour, I would say a spell meant for good or a spell meant for bad,cause if magic had a colour than it would be rainbow! -_-

It is your choice how to use magic,you make bad magic or you make good magic,however never think that magic can solve problems cause it turns against you, am talking from expirience!

there isnt an exact 'black and white' magick. black is used to describe more violent ways of magick such as using animals sacarifices, summoning demons or anything basically that causes harm to others. white is used to describe more practices using light itself like candles, starlight, moonlight and other shit like that. theres also green magick but since u didnt ask for it i wont mention it.

To make my point clearer,I used to practice nocturnal witchcraft and tried necromancy too, but don't think,cause you heard the word 'nocturnal' that meant I summoned evil spirits worshipped demons etc...,cause believe me I harmed no one-_-

As to answer the question,it happenes to me all the time.I know that some things are bad and still do them,I know I am good inside but still feel hate,revenge etc...

magic should be use for good. white magic is better and i do believe in it.

It is human to want to do something, even if it goes against what you believe in, we all make mistakes, and I think if a wiccan was to feed on someone unwilling...it would make them no less wiccan?? Magik in it's truest form is actually neutral. It's the users predisposition that changes it. Both White and Black gather their power from Ghyia, and she does not diferentiate between the both, Humans do.

Magic is Natural, it has neither color to begin with. Yet, depending on how it is used will depend on the nature of the spell.

White, is to help, heal, protect.

Black is to Harm, cause problems to curse.

there is no such thing as good or bad magic. as me and a friend discussed in high school white magic seem to be use more as a defensive technique and black magic as an offensive. its all on how you use it i'd say although i am not a practicioner of anything. but you heal someone who hurt people you just used white magic for bad. you vanquish and enemy using a spell or potion that kills that may be seen as good. as usual its all in the way others percieve it.
