Did anyone else hear about the new up coming vamp movie (Rise) staring lucy lui and manson!? or at least even see a picture of manson with facial hair!? whats the vibe on that?

Also, this thread wasn't about the band Marilyn Manson, it was about Brian Warner acting in a film... when it comes out, watch it, and then pass judgement on his acting Maybe he is crap, but like evthe intrduction led eeryone else in the world, give them a chance.

I dunno how well this movie will do as it is very little known, perhpas people will go just to see Brian , and vampires in the same movie, though I dunno how the plot will work and I am not a big fan of lucy. I'll watch it just to see Brian act. I really like Manson's music very lyrically thought provocing on society in general, also has a good sound. I would agree with most here that he does not look as good with the facial but again I agree with Echo that is his job to act , to become something different than he is in person.

Just watched the interview. Ugh, I don't like that look at all. Way too greasy for me. I sure miss the other Manson, whom I do have a thing for. *smile*

I'm definatley curious about the movie.
But once again, all you people bitching about "Marilyn Manson sucks," STFU. This thread has nothing to do about Marilyn Manson. Marilyn Manson is Brian Warner's pop-star persona. Yes, I said pop star. Because that's what he is. Listen a bit, he says it himself. He's created a persona to shock and draw attention to himself. It worked. So yeah, he's a poser. One of the biggest in the music industry. And that's exactly what he was trying to do from my understanding. So if you're trying to be a poser, are you really still a poser though?

Anyway, his theatrics from Marilyn Manson should be at least somewhat of an indication that he can do a good job of portraying a character.

The plot to the movie... Doesn't sound overly original. If it really does provide a good psycological twist to the plot, it could definatley have potential.

I'll be watching it. Out of curiosity at the least.

Oh, and for those of you saying Manson was in another movie with facial hair.... I'm going to have to guess you're mistaken. He also says in the interview that this is the first time he's grown facial hair.

I saw about half of Party Monsters, and if I'm very very lucky, it won't happen again.
