How many of you are real vampires as opposed to those that have a great interest in vampirism. I see this thrown around alot on here in different posts but not in its own thread. I am just curious to how many actually practice the lifestyle or I should say live the lifestyle..

Curious in the lifestyle but I don't want to be in it.

What a strange way to post. As God said "I am" and so it is and so am I. I have faith that one day I can overcome it.

i live my life the best way i can. its hard because it demands a great deal and its hard to have someone in your life whos comfortable with that kind of lifestyle.
it tends to be kinda lonely due to all of the myths surrounding it.

I'm not a vampire. I do practice the skills and abilities of psys, though. In discussion, it just makes it easier to refer to myself as a vampire, but I still wouldn't say that I actually am a vampire.

OK, now I have a question.. One thing though, When I have a fascination to learn about something, I dont stop learning, but no disrepect here at all, but how do you go from being interested in vampires to living the lifestyle.. would that mean you are a vampire or what.... Just a question.

well, well. i have been intressted in vampires since i was little and no i don't bite or drink other peoples blood i feel that this whole vampire thing is a fetish that started in england long ago and has created legends such as dracula. now don't get mad at me. it's just i have seen some prety sick shit that deal with sex fetish and it doesn't look cool one bit and it scares me when i see this stuff all it really is is that people need a way to express their love towards each other and the biting thing came up.

What I believe or think is that everyone *no exeptions* are here because they like the idea and/or things of the nature. After all we are all humans and nothing else.

well in order to be a real vampire you do have to live the lifestyle as well as drink blood...and follow the beliefs....

I would just like to know, do you have regular partners, do you seek out unknown partners etc.... I am just curious and trying to gain some knowledge.. Thanks..

I am very Real...I have been feeding Forever...I control many Minds and Bodies...Yes there are many posers out there...things always catch up them eventually...They become feed for us...

I really had to think about this one...because as for the present, I am just very interested...but I also think that if I had the chance to live the lifestyle, but only if the powers and gifts were real, i would want to live it! But no powers exist so no, I dont want to drink blood and live the lifestyle!

I am just an admirer and, if it comes to think of that, a vampire`s slave...donor, if you will...I like the vampiric lifestyle but not pushed to the extreme!

I started off being very interested. But I would live that life if I could, all depends on what is to come.

i guess, it would all depend on the vampire, for the partner thing. it would depend on the donor and the vamp. because if one was willing to be a donor more then once... and it would depend on the character of the vamp to decide if they wanted the donor on a multi basis or not.

It started at just an interest because my fiance was on the site, but now i want to more have the lifestyle, but not go to the extrem of selfinflict woud or donor or other like that.

I'm mostly interrested in vampires on roleplaying grounds.

As a DM I pick up interresting ideas and thoughts here that I incorperate into my adventures.

I'm sad to say this but I feel as if some on here when they hear the word Vampire they think of Hollywood vamps. In that case then no vampires aren't real. But there are real people out there that have learned to draw energy from things whether it be people nature water fire in other words the elements. People have adopted the name and the lifestyle, but there actual actions arenot of Hollywood. They don't hide in back alleys and pull unknowing victims in they direct their energy towards themselves. Humans only use 10 % of their brain who is to say that these "Vampires" just haven't found out how to direct energy. Do some drink blood?....Yes because they feel they can pull energy that way and that's only sensible but with how dangerous blood can be nowadays we have evovled into better and safer ways of energy gathering. My 2 cents.

I agree with you. I am not the typical ideal of what you think of when you hear the word "vampire." I rarely wear black, I LOVE garlic, and ok, so the sun does become a pain the butt, but I don't stalk people in the night. Yet I am very much a REAL vampire, not just interested. It started at a really young age for me, even if I am still very young. But "Lifestyle" isn't the right word for it. I'd say it was a way of life, not much different from other people. the difference is, we explore the darker side in ourselves, and people think us odd for that. I personally am comfortable for who I am, a Psychic as well as a Psy and Sang Vampire.

It depends on what you theory of being an actual vampire is. personally i like to think of myself as yes a real vampire on my standards. But sure I did practice it but then i decided to completly change my life for it in the considering i thought it would be worth it.

To Raziel, I did not mean I am a poser, I don't "Bark to hear myself speak." But I can't tell anyone at home, and I do stay quiet. But this site is for those interested at least somewhat in what a vampire is, and what real-life vampires do. I mean no disrespect.

I have been sang vampiric for quite sometime now.... The lifestyle captured my attention long ago and it was too late to turn back after I realized what was really happening to me... I've been one ever since.

I am not a vampire, I am more interested in the lifestyle than living it personally.
I guess you could say that is because while I hunger for many things, drinking blood is not one of them, who knows, if the situation came up I probably wouldn't knock it back, but I still wouldn't call myself a vampire.
That was unless, I had the began to hunger for it, if I couldn't 'live ' without it, I guess that I would have taken on one of the most important traits for a vampire.
THE HUNGER.
Nothing wrong with drinking blood, (as long as you are careful), some people like meat, some are vegetarians.
Who is to say what is wrong, if you have particular dietary needs, you gotta follow them.
I know I have only dealt with one kind of vampire here, but the point is, if you have the undeniable hunger, doesn't that affect whether you are 'real' of just enjoying the lifestyle?

until a few days ago, i had no idea real vampyres exist, but after alot of reading and consult, i have discovered myself to be a vampyre.i am still learning alot.

I am a psy vamp. I'm not sure what you would consider a REAL vampire but all I know is that I have tried to NOT allow myself to take in energy and I got extremely weak for a really long time. Thats all I'm goona say. SO I believe that I am considering I feel like I'm gonna die when I don't consume energy for too long.

You'll get a lot of people tell you that they are Vampires, but I can gaurentee they are not.

And about the sang thing. Not everbody is in the position where they could do that. I think there are few people out there that would actually be willing to allow you to do that. And I know there are none around here, unless they do way to many drugs and would do it for a laugh. So for you people who actually can practice the sang life. It's partially because your in the right spot. Unless you truely would hide in an alley and drag the unsuspecting prey into it. O sry... didn't mean to offend anyone... just getting my point across.

I was born a vampire my awaking started at a very young age and i know i was in early lives as well.

To answer this question you would first have to get all of us to agree on what a real vamp is, define the characteristics, abilities, lifestyle, and all sorts of other factors.

i would have to say get a life!!! because there is no such thing, if u are a real vampire then come kill me, because it is all fantasy, and if there was a real one existing they would not be behind a pc they would be out creating their world. and don't say a vampire is what u percieve it to be because a vampire written in many cultures is much more than a blood drinker and a life drainer.

Well here I have a question and I bet it was answered in one of the zillion responses to this post....What do you mean by "real vampire" Do you mean someone who drinks the blood of others because they wish and more than likely like to do so ? or do you mean the more mythical and beautifuly portrayed Eternal Living vampire who feeds off of blood becuase they need to ...

I drink..I feed..no I don't have the hollywood version of what is depicted in movies, books..and media..I don't have the disorder..I am not an occultist..I am who and what I am proudly..I know the realization..and I have no problem with those that just are simply interested..Knowledge is power.

Well, I've experimented, but I wouldn't say that I live the life style. It seems interesting, so I'm unsure as of the moment.

I am neither a Vampire or a "Lifestyler" I merely am a mortal in search of vampiristic knowledge. I only know little of Vampirism, and I am looking to expand my knowledge. I find Vampires to be simply fascinating, but it isn't like I am the next Van Helsing or anything. I am hear to learn as much as I can from the database, whether fact or fiction, no time can be considered as wasted here.

I'm mostly interested from a writing perspective. I've never thought of myself as a vamp, and some aspects of the *life* squick me a little. I do think it's fine for those who are true believers as long as they aren't harming anyone against their will. I have read some things about psy's here on VR that make me wonder a bit about myself. I seem to fit the profile.

Lestat86 thats a very very intresting comment you posted there lol reality is a tricky subjecy but do not get me wrong there is definetly a reality out there that is real but who is to say which one it is I dont think any of us know it but one day we will...and wait one second there was a lady up above in this comment who said she drank and feed on blood bescuase she needed it I woudl liek to know what reason she needed it is it a medical reason ? do you have soe problem where you need to feed on the blood of others? and as far as mystical powers of Vampirism I would be willing to be if Eternal life were a trait of TRUE vamperisim there would be some type of power you would get through out the years of your immortality am I wrong in saying such?

Currently, I'm only an observer of the sanguine lifestyle but not into it..however I'm looking for that to change in the near future.

As of now I am just extremely interested in the lifestyle.. Probably too obsessive. I drink some blood occasionally, but not enough to be called an actual vampire.

I am a real vampire and I will state that what you ask is a topic that could be debated to death. Even in our own community what determines what is "real" and what is a "fetish" can really get people going. I believe that our community has to gain an acceptance of these broad differances in opion. Some will say it is a choice, others say you can be "turned", some say you are born, some treat it as a religion. Fact is we all have a right to our opinions and should at least acknowledge the rights of others to their opinions. I think focus should stay on uniting the community through acceptance, education and responsibility rather than deciding who is better suited to label who. I am very interested and would live the lifestyle in a second. I am lucky that I found somone who shares this with me, and we do feed off of each other.

I myself am mostly interested in the lifestyle, I'm curious what kind of thing drives people to drinking blood or consuming psychic energy?

Is it genetic, or subconsciously placed in people minds? Is it a disorder or not? And I like the long history that the vampire has.

I consider myself to be a Psychic Vampire, and have consciously been aware of this state for a good ten years.
I felt a lot of shame towards the beginning as I found it difficult to control.
I both feed off strangers and the people I am intimate with, both can be equally nourishing in different ways.
And I am more than willing to let another feed from me if I deem them worthy.
As far as blood and immortality in any form of reality, I have a strong attraction and lust for blood, not just human, but animal as well. (and to clear up any mis understandings I DO NOT torture animals myself) but do partake in the eating of their flesh, as do many.
I dapple in blood play, for mental and spiritual release and as a tool for sexual gratification.
I am not as far as my knowledge (LOL) immortal, and unsure how I feel about this as a concept.
Although I do have to add finally, that as I am a procrastinater, I feel I could become something truly great given the extra time.
