well..i was just wondering how people would live there lives as vampires..would you forever walk alone..would you find yourself a wife/husband and turn them..would you join a vampire clan and work on missons to kill of slayers etc..

heh there are plenty of other ways to live..i just gave afew..im not sure how i would want to live mine..tho iv pretty much always been a loner.. :P i chose that path tho..no one cud change me to =)

i would definatly NOT turn my kids nor husband,id prolli live the same life u kno normal on the outside (well as normal as possible) and vampire deep inside :)

This "Lifestyle" cannot be defined by any one set of characteristics ... as the coloquial saying goes ... "It takes all kinds ... " ...

Given what we are, as any "target" group would be, we hide in the shadows and keep to ourselves ... to further accomplish this "Masquerade" ... I would think that we wouldst have fairly, mundane, common lives ... well, at least I do .. I shall speak for no other ...

yes..many of us would try to live nomal lives..trying to hide our lusts..but some get power hungry..knowing that they are more then human..they might use this to kill many people..

i would live alone, work alone, and die alone, if fate brought me someone i would glad accept it

Hm... I honestly think that if I were to become a vampire, it would drive me crazy. I love the sunlight.

I would probably either figure out a way I could be in the sun, or I would walk out into it anyway.

Then there's the crazy part of me that would live on animals and travel the world or something. I would want to be surrounded by people who loved me in any case and respected the decision I wanted to make.

i wouldnt change anything about myself...i would be the same popular prep/jock and just fit in.

It would depend on what kind of a vampire I became. However, assuming it was something closer to what we find in fiction, I would move to a very large city where my periodic rampages would be less noticeable.

Ahh another good question... As a vampire I would like in my days now obey the moral code that I have upheld within me and not kill. I would protect those around me that I could and mainly become a watcher of sorts for as time passes I would watch. Interfereance would not be my game unless something cataclysmic would be the result of me staying in the shadows.

Um, I suppose I would do it the same way I AM doing it, becasue it seems to be working as I havnt been killed yet

well..looks like many of you have different ways of living.. but i think..there would be some to find out our dark secret..and that secret could spred quickly..which might make it harder for you to live

First off, I'd live the rest of my mortal term as normally as possible. Night school, job as a bouncer or bartender, work from home, be a writer, that sort of thing. Use cosmetics to 'age' myself. Then, when it was time I'd take off to where no one knew me and start another one. Just travel around enjoying myself and learning everything I can about the world. Maybe try and fake some disease that keeps me out of the sun, or hey, pass myself off as a freaky goth girl who thinks she's a vampire. Nothing like hiding in plain sight. In general, I'd want to be a world class scholar. I'd probably keep away from any serious relationships, whether I planned on turning them or not, just because I'd hate to fall in love with someone, only to come to hate them in time or having them hate me. That's got to be far worse than simply losing them to death.

i guess you would have to invent hobbies to keep from getting bored so i would travel and bite celebritys for fun.....hehe....i think ill start with scarlett johanson and keep her as my wench....lol

i would try to take only what i need from humans such as blood, but not killing them... i would also try to be the one who helps humans as well, if they are in serious parell
other then that if i am to find someone, then i hope that we would be together for eternity

I wouldn't change my life, nor would I try to change others. There is so much to learn about ourselves and never enough time to even get started. That is what I'd spend my time doing. My hobbie would be huntiing down all the latest hollywood heartthrobs and making them my boytoys.

As a vampire of energy in the modern world? I'd change nothing.. and keep going foreward as I do now.. (though I'd still like to at least kill the ex.. oh well)

I don't think i would change much, just the time of day that i slept. Maybe move into a big house way out in the woods where i could be alone maybe, but other than that i don't think their would be a need to change.

this can go a lot of ways but honestly i would not change a thing, even if it were all eternity. As far as changing people over, it'd have to be by volenteer basis, i could not do that to my loved ones or my friends so if that would mean i'd walk alone forever then that'd be the path i'd walk.

i live my life the only way i know how to, Night to night, just because im a vampire dosent mean i live diffrently than any one els. Just because im a vampire dosent mean i live rich, i have bills to pay like every one els, power an gas, an hay i love my cars. so im just as normal as any one, just a vampire

i couldnt be anything more than a prep. thats me, i cant stand to dress in the black and all that, and i think that its just a cry out for attention, and i dont need that.

I adisagree with you paulo....I do not believe it is a cry for attention. I mean, it can very well be, but it depends on the person. I know with myself I am nothing BUT myself, as are you and I don't consider myself to be anything BUT myself.
Now, as for living like a vampire....as in, the fictional type, I would accomplish all the goals I have already set out for myself, and turn the one I love (if he would be willing). I don't think I would be able to walk eternities without him....now I must tell him I love him :P

Hello everyone..thats an interesting question...I'd make my family & friends into one and then start my own thing...a new coven or house...then if people wanted to join i'd let them...but i'd be very very picky on who i chose!!!!

Id set up a bar where we could all gte drunk on blood... 0.B.A all on tap...

i would travel, finding as much information as i can, killing only enough to survive, and bonding with those whom i wish to bond with.

Personally, I'd change nothing. Too much of a personality swing would only draw attention to one's self. Usually negative attention.

Let's say I became a full physical shifting Therian. If I brought attention to this, I'd be beset by people wanting me to change them into what I was. One can't truly appreciate what we are, no matter what species, unless they were born to it.

So I'd more than likely stay true to the course I'm on now. Only coming out to those that could honestly accept me.. Be they Vampire or other Therians.

i cannot really imagine being a vampire, i admire the whole culture of them and what they do but surely life as it is is good enough for most people, suppose if i was a vampire i would just have to smite as many people as i could in my life time

As a vampire I would remain nearly completely in shadows. Observing humankind and only interacting when I found amusement in doing so. I would travel the world to learn everything I've always wanted but never had the time. I would seek out others like me to learn what the vampire society at large is all about.

The arts and medias of today and yesterday have half value when compared to what experience they could generate if one is sharing it with a woman that is exquisite in body, mind and soul. How forever would seem bearable with a mate that lasts until time ends.

well it's hard to say. After a while I'd get tired of just talking to the same people, even the younger ones would all seem just so dumb after a while, seeing trend come and go, people live and die, it be fucking boring...

Well lets see....I am a vampyre, I am married, my wife is understanding, but mortal....We have a 3 year old little boy and he is definately mortal....The option for my wife is always open, she'll make the decision when she feels right, my son on the otherhand, has many years before I even want him to know about it....When he's in his 20's maybe he'll make the decision himself....

To live a mortal life with the powers of our kind would be a waste, in my opinion. I hardly believe that if someone had our powers, they would continue to live a normal life.

It's hard to say, depending on the kind of stereotype of vampire. I'm the kind of vampire Lestat is, the elegant, refined and nocturnal predator. I would live with the dresses of the 18th century (which are my favourites) no matter the time

I will go on living my life as I always have, I have learned to come to terms with what I am, and I realise it is a gift and I am happy about it.

Interesting question, hmmm. I would have to agree with most that I would probably live my life the same way I do now.

Of course, there would be opportunity to do things I haven't been able to do before, like be able to go and see places I've always wanted to see. A very difficult question indeed and I don't think very many people would be able to answer that until the time comes it actually happens to them.

As a hollywood vampire I would live as such. If I found a woman I would consider the possibility of turning her. I would not have a problem with killing for food. In fact most of us are that way now.

As a psy vampire I would seek more like me. Life would not change much from what it is now.

as a vampire i would dress like a victorian like the old times but sadly i can not becuase the age we live in wouldnt accept like it was back then. I write, I paint, I create, I observe and I study. Knowledge is the driving force and well I have a feeling I'd absorb myself in a library or two..

I would travel the world to places i've always wanted to go. I love company so i'd probably end up getting lonely after awhile and try to find love.

i would live my life pretty much as i do now, by the whim of the moment. i would let the wind take me to whatever place i may find, and if the wind takes me to find a love, then so be it, but i would not go searching for it.... i would still party hard, shoot pool, and encounter those who would want to do me harm....

I wouldn't change anything. Not a single, infantismal aspect of my life. Barring sleeping like a corpse in the ground during the day(if your sticking to legends... not rpg), then nothing would change. And even if I did become a corpse animated only at night with the most supernatural urges, I'm sure my Fiancee would be the one with the double barrel protecting my sleeping body. ;) The fact is, people always want something different.. they look to greener grass, wish for more money, want more power, need acceptance.. im pretty much the same as DawnCross. i wouldnt change how i am or anything and if the rest of my family didnt want to change, i wouldnt force them into it. i couldnt do that to my family

However, I would also live my life with style... Pushing boundaries, becoming all that I ever wanted to be and more...

Also, I would never give up my passion for the arts... Theatre, and other performance arts, are at the top of my list, but also, drawing, painting, sculpting... My love for the arts is unbounded...

I would probably want to find other vampires to learn their ways of survival and perhaps stay with them. It's easier to deal with those of a similar condition/mindset . They would understand the trials and tribulations that I was going thru. Then I'd probably go off it alone.

I live the life of a vampire right now. It's not really that different from the average human. I have bills to worry about and cleaning to do.

if i have understood well... this is about how would you live your life as a ficiton vampire... well i guess i would live it alone... till i ll find someone whom understands me and wants to be willignly turned of course... thats not very different from now actually.. i only have two persons whom i care and cherish.

...I would be a recluse for the most part..(same thing I am now)....But sometimes I would use my dark gift to help those who are preyed upon by others. Like the elderly and such, they're defenseless against others who will try to rob or do worse to them at night...

If I was turned into the imortal, fairytale kind of vampire, I might drop all morals and ethics and become comlpetely evil. I'd do anything for my own pleasure and not hesitate to drink blood from anyone I wanted and then rob them afterwards. That, or I would have a constant bad consience and only drink animal blood without even killing the animals, staying hidden al the time.
