Does anyone have any experiences that they care to share. Just wondering...

HOW would we know right this moment? Say it was happening right this moment.... would you know? I don't think we ever know when and where precisely...... but that's just my own humble blood drinking opinion.

Well I guess would depend on whether or not you had any memories of the time/s before.

I know that here have been many who could tell you a lot about theirs before this one.


I know that my old coeven master had a thread that she began on deja Vu, and it was a reaccuring theme that most of the people who posted on the felt that deja vu was just a memory of something that had gone on before in another life.

I know that when I was very young, I used to talk about a family that I had before! I don't remember it now! All I remember now is the things that my grandmother has told me! She told me about some of the things I would tell her! They sound kinda of familiar in a weird way, but I can't really remember or visuallize the people she tells me I mentioned!

It is very possible that as a child you could remember something from your past. They say that as you get older, old memories fade. Maybe that is what deja vu is, the faded memory of a life past. And the family you talked about, SouthernFreak is the family that use to be yours.

As a teen I often had dreams of my death, repeatedly over & over! So I don't know if that's a future event or maybe what happen to me in a past life! In the case that it is what happen to me before, well I'm kind of glad I don't remember anything anymore!

Linear time is a human illusion...All lives run concurrently...It is the ability to be aware of the other lives you exist in...Clear your mind, look deeper into yourself, you will see more than you might be ready for....

i agree with prettyviolence. one of my friends believed that you are born with all of your knowledge from a previous life, but as you grow and develop into this life, the thoughts are pushed deep into your subconcious. remember, most humans use only 10% of their brain. perhaps the answer lies in the other 90%

The simple facts listed below.

Fact 1.

Have you ever gone up to a person you thought you knew only to find out you had no idea who they were. This happens to me alot. I run into a person the first thing I say to them if I have an inkling that I know them is "Don't I know you."

This is because you've meet this person in a pervious life. The strong sence of a person carries over into the next life. You can't fight this feeling you know them. Even though you realy don't know them in this life time.

Fact 2.

The people your most compatable with are the ones you are most likely to have known in a past life. I know several people whom have married for the life times they've been around to the same person.

Fact 3.
Knowledge of events you couldn't possilby know.

I for one remember the Titanic. For one instance. Before the block buster movie. Before any knowledge leaked out to me. I serisouly knew nothing about the name of the ship all I recalled was about the events that happend. I knew the ship from stem to stern and could tell you anything about it you would want to know. When the movie came out i was freaked out how much the information i knew was being played out.

If reincarnation exists as you all make it sound, you just come back as someone else, then why the hell are we still living? If were just gonna come back again and again, whats the point? Besides, reincarnation merely means, returning to this live after your death, not as a person necessarily, just coming back, animals, plants, other living things. For a person to really come back, that would imply a soul and a soul is what? when you can answer that for certain, THEN we can think about reincarnation, otherwise, dont waste your time thinking about what you made up in your head. If reincarnation exists, it destroys the preciousness of life, it destroys the idea of good and bad, selfless and selfish have no meaning because nothing matters in this life because you can do it all over in the next. Is that what you people really believe? That this life is only a waste of time in all the lives we might live? Why do all people fear death? Why do all people try to stay alive if you all know you can live again? Tell me that.

I believe that the point of reincarnation. Is that you are supposed to endure a particular set of events. Each life you have test differnt events. Giving you differnt goals and objectives. If you reach those goals. You get a choice of what you want to be the next life. Just an opinion.

The idea behind reincarnation is soul evolution. Before incarnating, you choose the trials and lessons you want to learn in this life in order that your soul may progress, culminating in an eventual freedom from the cycle (joining Source, entering Nirvana, etc.).

The idea that a human soul will return as an insect or animal in their next life is called "transmigration of the soul" and is not the same as "reincarnation". They are 2 separate beliefs.

I am a strong believer in reincarnation...I also believe in that soulmate and believe it's the same in every life. I belive you learn each time. I have met my soulmate in this life and now he is gone. When I met him I knew him inside and out without a word needing to be spoken. I knew him when..I knew him now and I will meet him again in our next go around.

I do believe in reincarnation, and I feel that what/who we are in the next life we sometimes bring from this life. I have a theory, and thoughts. Definitely hard to explain via threads. Once you have done what it is you need to do in this life, you die and move on. Our existences are based on lessons.

reincarnation...... hummmm well I can say with my lineage I would not wanting t o be a reincarnation of them.... but to be honest I think we are reincarnated to learn the life lessons that we didn't get in the previous life

well few days back i read about it in a newspaper .it was reported that a girl in her new birth could tell everything about her past birth and she even showed the house she used to live in in her previous birth. i guess there is something to think about it.

I believe we are living our lives over and over till we get that one certain thing in it right. I have feelings of doing or knowing that I know i have yet to done in this current life. Therefore it is from my previous lives. The people I meet and trust for no reason, for example why is this? unless they have been in my presence before and some one whom I regarded highly before. I know that people have met someone and it is like whoa, Don't I know you or you just conncet on a level that you do not fully understand. I have and still do. I feel it is a journey for us to have and to live many lives till we have accomplished what our true purpose is on this planet or plane. Maybe one day we will be able to actually know all of the parallel planes and how our lives cross and recross one another.
that is just how I look at it.

Life isn't something you can't live. You need to live it the best you can. As I stated in my belief each life is a test of what you can or can't do.

I agree with Fizbop, to a degree. you have to live your life the best way you know how. but I truly believe what you were not able to do in this life you will get an chance to do in the next, if you were meant to do it in the first place.

you do have a very interesting perspective... however i really dont think its right that you put it as a fact. i gaurantee you dont have proof. It is merely an opinion and/or belief.

I believe in reincarnation, it is all part of karma. There have been alot of things that I could desrcibe as deja vu in my life. I get that feeling all of the time.

I do believe in it...I think each life you learn from your past lives...the more you learn the better the next life will be.

I do remember having a few dreams of me doing things in a previous time/erra. Or seeing people and talking to them live I've known them my entire life but knowing it was a first time meeting cause either they was out of state or I was out of state. And just having dreams of me dying in various ways. I just blew them off. Never told anyone about it.

I believe in it. I had some dreams..All my friends and parents say that i was a cat in my previous life. :)

hmmm, well, i have thought this over and in my opinion, i dont believe we are re-threads from a past life, we might think we remember things from long ago, and such, but its more like we read , saw or heard of these things and our mind remember them in our sleep, not to say you are lying that you lived a past life, though in reality is not real, it is remembrance, it is what our minds tell us, you never lived 2-4-8-20 other lives as you may think you have. of course, i could just be full of crap and not know anything, this is just one opinion out out millions.

I should think your opinion is fine...but I'd like to counter the theory you have of non-existance of past lives with this. If you have memories, and people you know who you never told these memories to can, in convo about past lives, not only say they feel they knew you in that life, but can recall all the details you know almost 100% in accuracy, does that not in fact prove the ability for past lives???

it can't be BS or something you read or saw, if they never read or saw your memories and mind, but are able to recount the details.

as it stated before, i just could be way off base with it, but if i say that, i lived in a small home that was in the middle of a corn field, and it had a broken white fence and there were chickens walking around the front yard, and there were faded white curtains on the windows, i can remember all this detail, and yet, was it my past life? no, its not real, it never happened, it was a dream that encompassed maybe not one but several dreams, or readings or a movie or tv show, and bits and pieces were placed together and my mind drew the picture that looks real enough, but never happened, i had sensed and dreamed a while back on several occasions, about ww2 germany, in it i saw everything in real time, troops, planes tanks, dead soldiers, giving orders, and such, i can swear it was all real right down to the dust in the air, and never once did i believe that i was a german field marshall in a past life, i am not sure why it hit me as it did, or why i knew all that i did, but it never happened, i wasnt a general, i wasnt in germany during ww2, i didnt leave a past life, why did it happen? i will never know or even understand it, but like i said, this is just my thoughts and i am not trying to disclaim what others believe, general patton during ww2 believed he had lived several past lives, did he? we will never know.

WereWolf666, a lot of it is a matter of belief. But there are those that truly believe that they have lived before. I am one of them. but that does not mean that everyone comes back.

and that is why i said that it was just my opinion, didn't say i was the know-all of this subject, it is just the way i think is all.

I went to a friend for a past life regression a couple of years ago. It was very interesting, apparently I was burned at the stake in one of them, but according to the hypnotist, im on my 4th ish reincarnation. I have only had dreams about one of them, the one I just told you about.

To answer your question. My view points are either black or white. There either right or wrong. It's only my opinion. Nothing more. Life to me is a test if you can do something or not. You make the guidlines via a previous life.

Just a point of view that really no one person can tell me I'm wrong. In my belief I'm right because it's how I see things.

I have past memories actually. It was a long time ago like back in the medieval times. I saw myself running away from something quite large and then I saw myself die. It was rather odd.

i can remember some of my past lives but i dont remember all of them so i only remember somethings that have happened in my past life

I have had dreams, and experiences that i can not explain logically.

i have'nt had any visions of a past life, but its the only way i can explain my dejavu.

If there is reincarnation... then there is a limited number of souls that can exist...and they keep circulating around over and over again...endlessly....

I believe in reincarnation, but I dont think you can remember it easily based on some things Ive learned about human memory.

But as far as spiritually, maybe you can once you get to a certain level.

InPrasieofBacchus - the only way to determine who you were before and how many times you have been reborn is to undergo hypnosis, by one who is specifically trained in the area of previous lives.

I have not done so I do not know what it entails.

But if you have a shaman they can wallk you through it.

My wife & I were at a psychic fair once when we lived down in Miami, well we were talking with a couple of the readers and one of them told me to practice Budhism because I was a Budhist in a past life. Now, do I believe it? Somewhat and the reason is because I have an affinity for the asian culture in such a way it's almost indescribable. Somehow it just "feels right". So the psychic reader may have hit on something.

i know quite a bit about my past lives but most of them i don't like to talk about. but because of one of my past lives i have an intense fear of spiders that i can't get rid of to save my life.

most of you all are right. we don't just live one life but are many. its do to socitey and up bringing that makes us lose what we knew in the past with each new life. i for myself have traversed my life as far back as i can and alot of what i have uncovered i do not wish to speak much of it brings me a lot of pain. but the trip to discover my past was well worth the toll it took for one to gain the knowladge and the power that is lost to many.

I have only begun to remember, but there are things that feel like memories that keep fighting there way to the surface, and well it is a bit unusual at first, but after you get used to it, it is interesting.

Well I have experinces where I have recognized people or places and knew I didnt know them in this life and knew i hadnt been there before. Its a creepy feeling but play it off as a past life thing. There has been times i have done things and knew there was a time I had done this same thing but couldnt place it.

I have never had any experiances, but i will say that i do beleive in reincarnation!

I've had innumerable experiences with this sort of thing, and I can tell you something with no doubt in my mind as to it's accuracy.

Anyone who has experienced it will be more heavily scarred, both mentally AND emotionally, than the average person. There is a REASON most people do not remember/relive their past lives.

So if you cannot remember, don't bother trying. If it does not come naturally, you probably will not find out, and if it DOES start to come to you, do your best to block it out.

For all of my soul-searching and studies regarding sociology, psychology and parapsychology, I've found that the more cases I've come across, the more I wish I had NOT'VE asked.

I have had some experience with it, which was kind of wierd, but hasn't been the worst of things. A few people i know and myself have been connected by past lives. When we did see each other, we could both recall bits and pieces, but it becomes blurry when we're not around each other.

The ones we are close with now are here in our lives for a reason. Why are you "best friends" with someone? Maybe you were married, foxhole mates, slaves together in another time.

Does anyone ever feel drawn to a certain time period? Midevil, America in the 1700's, why do so many people recreate the civil war? The Renn Fairs? Are they just re enacting a past life?

I know I pose more questions than answers. I have always felt drawn to the midevil era. I find myself, when looking for Halloween costumes going for the Gwenivere look, more often than not.

i have to agree i keep thinking the reason i have such bad luck with relationships is cause my x who is dead doesn't want me to be with anyone else and thats why whenever i get close 2 someone they leave me.

My BELIEF.... Reincarnation is real.

I believe that you are given chances to get the life right or to learn a specific lesson. Althought I don't remember my past lives, I have been told that I was a slave in egypt (male), a woman accused of being a witch, and I watched as my current husband, killed my lover.

I have had the feeling as if i have met people before. But found 2 on here that both looked at me and said "There you are." As if i was the missing piece in the puzzle. They both claim the 3 of us have been together in a past life. *Shrugs* I will just wait until we all get together and go and see a psychic or hypnotherapist.

I believe that Reincarnatrion is real.

I don't believe it has anything with learning. I think some spirits just for what ever reason, are stuck to relive their lives over and over again. they are just pretty much stuck. I dont think it is pretty and meaningful as everyone would to make it.

Even as a child I always had a stong identification with earlier places and times. Almost to the point of a mania for history. I acquired a lot of books on certain eras of interest. This continues
till this day. I find myself having a stong identificcation with certain places and people. Is this proof I am reincarnated?

I have met people in my life that as soon as we meet I know them. Instant connection. Places on the other hand feels like deja vu. I do believe that we come back to finish what we did not finish in the past life. And the connection to places and people stays to help guide us.

I know that reincarnation is real. I know that there are many who can recall parts or all of their lives from before.

I often find myself in situations where I know something from a long time ago that I shouldn't know as well as I do. But is this because I have reincarnated and have past life memory, or is it genetic memories past to me from my ancestors through my DNA? Genetic memory makes more sence to me and fits as a reason for the kind of things I experence better.

I believe that is does exist. One way for me to tell is the dreams that we have. The other is you sometimes feel older than the 90 year old people that you come across.

some one told me about her experiences with reencarnation but it sounded far too violent and she said she remembered it in a dream and when she woke up she had bruises all on her arms and legs but i think she was on a drug trip and she was in an abusive relationship at the time.... so i guess that what i typed doesnt even help but what ever..

I'd just like to step out of the box for a moment. And bring a bit of physics into the equation.
Assuming spirits, or the soul can be defined as matter, for instance a mass of electrons...matter still can not be created nor destroyed, only changed.

Therefore where would the energy go after it leaves the body.
Most people would say the soul is contained within the chest cavity. I'd just like to propose a new thought.

What if it's contained directly in the brain? Say...as the electrical impulses that drive our bodies and minds. After all "the eyes are the window to the soul" are they not?

If you take a good look into physics, and apply them to these concepts, I've realized it actually paints a good picture of how reincarnation could really work in our world.

Also...the cellular DNA of all animals has it's own "memory". It's how a mother who has never nursed before is capable of knowing how to care for her young. It's how a caterpillar knows how to cocoon into a butterfly.

There's a ton out there we don't know. But I think that we need to look deeper than the surface.

sure ill tell u what i can remember i was about 23 in 1346 ad i was a prince of romania under the turkish rule and i was kidnapped by a man dressed in black and then i was bitten by him and changed into a werewolf then thats all i know

i believe that peole come back as a person or animal around the peole they love, this may sound strange but sometimes i swear i can see aspects of my mother in people around me, even my dog!

My belief is that we are here many times for many reasons....I think until we fulfill what our purpose truly is we come back time and again, like trial and error. That is why I feel there are certain connections to people we meet instantly or a strong sense of dislike. Many people who have crossed paths with me and know my older daughter say that she is an "old soul" that has been here before. I believe it 100%, she is so wise beyond her years and was born with her eyes wide open staring right at me, never cried at all and just laid there looking around....so I do think she is back here again, under my guidance (poor little thing LOL) to help her better herself for her true purpose.
