Starting where we left off in the other thread, "Can you connect dreams with someone? By accident?"
If you already post in this topic then don't worry about it.
yea i suppose you could connect with someone if the connection is strong enough between the two people. either that or thay both have a mental ability nearly unhuman which allows it to happen
By accident? I think yes. We pass thru other peoples dreams all the time. If you ever had a dream that way extremely unusual for you then perhaps it was someone else's dream and you were just pulled in. I think its harder to do on purpose but not impossible. Ramdom is just easier than pinpointing a dreamer.
Very interesting subject wish I knew more about it. I dont question that it doesnt happen though.
I don't know if it is something we do accidently. It may seem that way, but really our subconscious works at such a higher energy level than our conscious. So what our subconscious can accomplish during sleep may be beyond what the conscious mind can comprehend.
Dreams are a way to escape our reality, some believe it is our exsistance beyond this plane, so I suppose you could enter someone else's dream accidentily just as if you bumped into a stranger on the street, you just bump into their dream. Interesting concept.
I don't really see how this could be possible. One person might be able to intercept or read anothers dreams while awake but with both parties asleep I don't see how they could intersect. Perhaps I just need more information but I don't think it could happen.
I don't know much about it, but it sounds possible. I would think it would happen by accident.
I do believe that it can happen but I do not know enough about this subject to really say.
as i've stated once before i do belive it can happen sometimes it happens without us even knowing.
I feel it can happen. There has been times I have had a dream that either was the same or very close to one that a family member or a friend had. It is very cool.
i've actually had it happen to me with someone i hadn't met... at the time i had the dream... and about a month after i had it i was hanging out and dreams came up and i listed off some memorable weird "post-apocalyptic"-like dreams and found that not only did the person see me as i had seen me, they also accurately drew a sword i had used in the dream.
the only difference between our dreams was that i had seen more than he had.
There's something else.....it's kindof weird....
There was one girl in my that's from Mexico but was in the US. She looked young like in her teens. Then later I dreamt looking at myself. My eyes turned fire. Supposelly the girl was kidnapped. I don't know. I called my friend to check it out. As I feared, it actually happened. O_O This happened about a month ago I think. Or month and a half.
It's sometimes the same with other dreams.
That's not really a dream but a premonition. Psychics get those all the time. While this "entering each others dreams" may indeed be possible...I remain skeptical that it is not a psychic ability at work not just a random dream.
It still happened when I was asleep. I get others like that too. Different people. Different areas, things happining.

I say the answer is a resounding....
...Maybe.
I guess it would depend on how ou define "connecting."
If you mean some actual form of communication, no... if you mean a random, coincidental thing that appears to the people experiencing it to be communication, then sure.
dreams are always connected no matter what it is not an accident
i guess its possible. but not directly. you might say something to someone and they dont really hear it, then in their dream it might pop up because they did hear it bt didnt really take notice
I think its possible & I think it can very easily be accidentally done! I hadn't had dreams in years, but started back recently! Everytime I dream tho, it's people I have never met! A friend told me that they think this is what is happening! That I keep somehow connecting with strangers dreams! Since no matter what I try to do, I can't seem to control anything that happens in the dream, I kinda think my friend could be right!
I have had dreams were someone or something died or was in trouble and it turned out to be the case. I have a friend who has dreams when someone is prego. and it turns out they find out there having a baby etc. I have a friend who went into a state were everything slowed down and he saw a loved one grab his chest and fall to the floor. When he came out of this state what he had just saw in his mind began to play out in front of him. The loved one dies but my friend saw it happening before hand.
I think in some way we can be slightly intentionally pulled into another's dream. I think if you're the type of person who is constantly helping another and the person needs help in a dream and they are seeking someone to help them, you might show up as the "hero" in the dream to help them. On the other end, if you aren't likely to help a person and aren't so giving, you might never be pulled into another's dream.
I'm always willing to help my friends and associates but they wouldn't let me.
I have before. I thought that I was just dreaming and she was in it but it turd out that I was in her dream.
like i sadi, youc ant enter somebody elses dream, you may have similair dreams, and very weird coicindences, but its impossible to enter somebody else dream
It was not a dream that was kinda alike. THey were exactly alike.
It is not impossiable to enter other's dreams it is quite do able you just have to have the abiltly to do it and those who don't feel that it is possiable so if you can't do it don't judge!
I've had dreams of being at a place that I had never been before, then later actually go there. If kind of felt like deja-vu.
Those that feel deeply and intensely are already sharing a connection. Dreams open a window and two kindred souls may enter the same door or occupy the same space.
I agree with that.
I have had it happen more than once.
I have also had dreams were I went some where I have never been before and was serching for something or someone. Later on I would find myself actually traveling threw that place I saw in my dreams. It was as though it was calling me or predicting what I was going to do.
Yes it could happen... I had some strange dreams and when I tried to wake up I realized it wasn't me... I was looking out of the eyes of someone else....scared me so bad I woke up. But maybe there could be a benfit to this also.. I just do not know what that would be. Why would anyone trully desire to know someone on such an intimate level?
I have had dreams that others say they were in but never have i been in one that i thought was controlled by another.
Indeed
how oftenn have people dreamt about forthcoming events?
Some see that as a gift of forbboding which is true
But if many dream of the same event is that dismissed as collective dreaming of the event or should it be seen as COLLECTIVE dream for the event as the title of this thread suggests?
I , in my humble opinion would put forward the theory and idea that all dreams are collective & connected after all how could we all have dreams about certain , to put it simplistically , subjects such as flying, dying ,teeth loss etc if these dreams were not collective
Yes we all belong to the same species but if you look deeper no-onne is the same in dreams (even identical twins) so how would such common dreams be possible if we believe in individuality ?
Surely only through collective dreaming
I have told someone That I would see them in their dreams and told them where I would be and they called the next day and told me the exact same dream I had was the one they had. Im not sure how it happened but it was pretty cool.
Katarina, you sounded like you were in someone's eyes who was awake for some reason.
I do this on a nightly basis, I enter my friends dreams all the time, and if my son is haveing a bad dream I know it, so I enter his and make them all better for him.
it is possible it happend to me recentley my and my love connected in a dream we both dreamed the same dream the night before we saw each other after a long while
I had a dream about a girl I knew once. We were sitting in a restaurant, and I was looking into her eyes and she was looking into mine. It was a strange dream, because I actually felt a pull on ...my subconcious I guess. Very strange
Entering dreams. Well, you've got to think about it in the sense of a psy-attack.
One person is asleep, the other is either awake, or obviously really good at lucid dream control.
I don't think that entering dreams is any more difficult than being really gifted at reading someone's mind. --But you'd have to be so gifted that you can do it well enough to get the whole picture, and you'd have to be able to be just as good at "SENDING" thoughts and ideas as well. (the "victim" would make their own pictures out of what you send, so you wouldn't be controlling their dreams, just influencing.)
Totally possible. But you'd have to be real good. A lot better than the simple "Hot or cold" send and receive stuff I can do.
Yes i believe 2 people or more can have the same dreams . I dream of being held captive all the time .. A dear friend on here analyzed my dreams, and came to the conclusion that I am overwhelmed at times..
I have also believe dreams could be controlled by a Hypnotist . I mean think about it to be put under , and Hypnotist talking to you while your sleeping how cool would that be? I would love to be put under by a hypnotist to find out about my past life.
Who was I ?
What you did in a past life..
How I might have lived?
I`m getting a bit off topic sorry about that...
Any ways here is little bit of a page I found on sleep .. I will leave the link to this page at the bottom , just copy and paste it in your browser...
The Sleep Cycle
One sleep cycle comprises of four stages and last for about 90-120 minutes. There are some texts that list five stages in the sleep cycle. Some consider the first five-ten minutes when you are falling asleep as a stage in the sleep cycle. We feel this is more of a transitional phase. In addition, while the other stages of sleep repeat themselves throughout the night, this phase of sleep does not. For this reason, we have excluded it as part of the sleep cycle.
Stage 1: You are entering into light sleep. This stage is characterized by Non-rapid eye movements (NREM), muscle relaxation, lowered body temperature and slowed heart rate. The body is preparing to enter into deep sleep.
Stage 2: Also characterized by NREM, this stage is characterized by a further drop in body temperature and relaxation of the muscles. The body's immune system goes to work on repairing the day's damage, the endocrine glands secrete grown hormone and blood is sent to the muscles to be reconditioned. In this stage, you are completely asleep.
Stage 3: Still in the NREM stage, this is a deeper sleep still. Your metabolic levels are extremely slow.
Stage 4: In this stage of sleep, your eyes move back and forth erratically. Referred to as REM sleep or delta sleep, this stage occurs at about 90-100 minutes after the onset of sleep. Your blood pressure rises, heart rate speeds up, respiration becomes erratic and brain activity increases. Your involuntary muscles also become paralyzed. This stage is the most restorative part of sleep. Your mind is being revitalized and emotions is being fine tuned. The majority of your dreaming occurs in this stage.
These stages repeat themselves throughout a night's sleep.

i think you can, because your left side is trying to tell you something. and that something can safe your life. thats what i think anyways.
People can connect through dreams, even if they don't recognize the other person. Hell, you could fall asleep, and meet the person your going to meet the next day in the dream world. It all depends on where you are, and what you are doing.
Yea, never have, but i have dreamt clearly about other pple i have never seen in my life. It was weird
Some people drift in and out of various Dream States and Realms in very unusual
and often times chaotic ways.
I'd have to say that it is possible. I've connected with people before but it was purposely. Or when it was an accident, I was thinking of them subconsciously, well at least probably.
So yes I think that it is highly possible.
Ye s a ot of my dreams are either connect to me, someone i know, or someone i will meet in the future
although not all the times dreams tend to contect with someone i've left behind, or relationships that need to move on.
I know someone who can do it willingly or at least says she can
I forgot to add the by accident part. Of course you can connect.
I actually entered two of my friends dreams by accident a couple times a while ago...and I still don't know how it happened
I know i have shared dreams with other people... I dont know if one of us entered the other or whatever
i beleive those connestions exist whether by accident or on purpose, our level of abilities as humans are only stopped by our own beliefs that we can or cannot do something
this is where i tend to have a problem: as many of my dreams tend to be predictions of the future, and is scares me because so many of them have become real, im not sure if its Deja Vu or what the hell it truely is, but its infact quite scary and i wish it would end, and also my dreams have met those who i haven never met before and eventually do meet in the future
i have done it a couple of times. you know how weird it is to look around and suddenly your in a cartoon and have your girls wanna play while your passing through.
Yes I do think that we connect by accident in dreams. However the accident is only in that it is our subconscious that wishes for us to make the connection.
Like many who have posted, I do much dreaming. However when I connect with people I do not share dreams, rather I learn things. I have known what someone has smelt like, how they come across and some of their little quirks having observed them in my dreams.
I have also known what people want me to see, compared to who the really are. I think all of these come from connecting with the person in my sleep from the information they have given me while awake- talking to them and then my subconscious mind filters the information into a fuller picture of what/ who they are. Although I still can’t explain how I know what they smell like.
I have done what is called Astral projection. Its when your soul lifts up from your body and goes to another plane of existance...when your soul comes back at times it feels like you have lost all the sugar in your body and you need to eat something sweet to feel okay again...that is when your soul hits the body with such force and it makes you jerk and wake up suddenly.
raziel You can stop what is happening you can block it if something is strong enough to break through that well then you didn't do it right or it is your destiny. But yes you can connect or learn to connect or enter others dreams their is no limit if you do it correct. I do feel I need to let those who will read this and try it If you get it to work once you start it you can't stop it. However, if it is just something you can do and it wasn't your choice for the most part you can stop it.
I have had dreams with friends or co workers in it, the next day they had told me they dreamt about me as well. The dreams didn't coorelate as far as content, but we were both dreaming about one another.
I enter a dream with out even knowing that I did. I then talk to my hubby about it the next day and I ask him if he remembers his dream. he does and says that he saw me in it. I think it is neat actually.
i actually went into my friends thoughts and dreams she got really creeped out. hehe but i cant control it as much ias i would like though my mom is trying to teach me along with my friends.(friends mostly test subjects hehehe)
I believe it can happen. However, I think it would depend on how connected you are to the persons dream you shared. I would find it unlikely that two people who barley knew each other would dreamscape like that.
Although...there is this theory (not one I personally hold) that when we dream we're entering another dimension. Perhaps we're all just meeting one another there.
yeah.. accidental dream invasion does happen, but not often.. i've broken into people's dreams in my houses i've lived, but i only question the 'accidental' nature of the beast in question..
D
Here's my theory: Dreams are not illusions of the mind, but in fact paralell dimensions out soul travels to when out body is to exausted to hold onto it. In this sense wandering into "someone else's dream" by accident would be as simple as 'stepping' if you will into the same dimension as that person. It could be as coincidental as seeing someone you know at the mall, or as planned as a buisness meeting. it all depends on how you look at it, but this is how I see it.
~♥~
absolutly, my dreams are premintions of what is to come. Many times I talk to peoples astroselfs in my dreams
Yeah, I think we can do that. It would only require a stronger-than-average telepathic link.....right???? Of course, maintaining that while you are asleep sounds a little more difficult.......
I feel that you can but they may not see the same images you see. This could happen through a bond or link that you might have with the other person that could draw you towards them.
I do think it's possible. Especially if it is someone that you are close with.
I think it is possible to randomly end up in someones dreams. I believe in astroprojection so whats to say we're not all out there while we sleep. Some just may have more of a memory of it. I believe everyone is born with abilities some are just more tund in with thier inner self.
I am open to the idea and have shared similar recollections on the morning after with a few people, but I've been wondering how we know we've been in anothers dream?
Since the path that we take to get to that point, will be different from the other, we can maybe talk of a specific moment, but a whole night of dreaming, I can't see my way to believing.
for the most part, to walk thru others dreams, happens by accident. one can with proper training, can walk thru dreams as easily as walking down the block. one must beware though, injuries, attacks can and do have serious consiquencies (ok, my spelling is bad). i personally can do this, but not very well. I refrain from it for the most part, because i am not very good, and i don't know how to control my walking yet.
the wise ones in austrailia can walk dreams, but it is rare that they will teach others.
I think it would depend on the persons and the situation and the connection between the two. It could be possible.
I am sure that dreamwalking could happen by accident. I don't believe that it only happens this way. I am sure that knowledge and concentration it can happen when someone wants to do it.
I have a friend who has mastered Lucid dreaming were he can control each thing he does in a dream. It is very interesting to me and I have not yet been able to acheive this skill but have always thought that it would be cool.
Entering the dreams of another by accident is quite easy for some... it's doing it when you wish that's difficult to master.
Yes, I have done this. Not intentually, a very perseptive friend was having a dream, sent it to me, I was looking at a double exposure. It was amazing, we didn't figure it out until mush later, and we were both fascinated by it. We tried several times afterwards, but it never happened again as we know of. I tell that story from time to time, as I am trying to learn astral projection.
What a interesting post. I have done this not once but at least three times. I was told that to really connect in dreams with a person you would both have to want to do so. Which is not true at all. I was also told that it works better when you are touching the person you would like to connect with. Say I wanted to see what my partner was dreaming. I would wait til he was sleep and put a part of myself against him. It works. But it is not always right to invade someones dream. I personally do not like the feeling of being in someones elses dream where i am stuck in a place i cannot do anything about anything. You may have a different aspect but hey, we all have opinions.
There is a definite correlation between dreams and events. Sometimes our sub-conscious has the abiltity to tune in to these energies when we are asleep.
Not necessarily. Most people can connect dreams without realizing it. When they do realize it, they freak out, and so subconciously they block that ability.
I'm quite sure it is possible for some. I have had a strange dream through out my life about somebody who I believe is my soul mate. We've grown and matured together and upon awakening I am always grief struck at the separation. I know with out a doubt that we have come together in some dream world. Often I can still feel his touch or smell him. I'm not really speaking sexually although there is plenty of tension and desire. Usually we are just struggling to come together, and then when we finally do it is brief and we struggle to maintain the connection. It's quite heart breaking really.
Anyway it is an ability I find fascinating and I wish I could harness.
I don't think that this is possible, but I am not an expert on dreams either. I have had some strange and some not so pleasant dreams of late...and I have discussed them with others who may have had a similar occurence. But, as for the dreams being actually crossed or connected I think not....just more or less coincidence.
Niskuny I find that to be very interesting but sad at the same time. I have had my own dreams that I dream over and over again were Im drawn to a place but not a curtain person. I know how frustrating it could be.
ive done it, also not necisarly shared dreams, but shared minds and was able to understand things from someone elses point of veiw through a conection with them in the dream state. lets us tap into our own unconcius aswell as the universal unconcius
I wish I could either jump into someone elses dream or pull someone into mine..mine get rather scary..lol
ive had dreams that you could say were like a vision... they scare me though because the weirdest ones have my dead friends in them, talking to me or having a connection with another friend of mine, who later dies....
I give it a far fetched maybe. Only because I recall of having dreams with someone in them the same day that said friend has one about me.
Here is another link to exactly what is being discussed. As you read and find out. It is broken down to three theories.
http://www.geocities.com/fifteen_earthquakes/shared.htm
I think that we can definitely connect by accident in our dreams if that persons feels strongly in there connection with each other. I have connected a couple of times with other people's dreams. I would wake up and ask them if they saw me too.lol I think it is special in ways, but can sometimes end up bad. I one day ended up in one of my cousin's dreams while she was depressed. She was suicidal because of the death of her baby and we crossed paths in the dream world. I saw her crying and holding her son in the dark. My eyes still water when I think about it...
After inviting over a couple wiccan friends to cleanse my house, i had some interesting dreams. I made a joke about them to my mother, who was up visiting. We had almost the exact same dream but it was seen from our seperate prospectives. Mom is an empath like me, but we weren't sure who's dream it was, or an aftereffect from the cleansing.
I would say yes that if those people had a Stong connection between them to beable to do that.
~Yours In The Darkness~
if the emotional, and even spiritual connection is strong enough i believe you could be able to unintentionally connect with another person via dream links
I believe you can... if you have a strong link or bond with someone then yes you can enter their dreams... I myself have done it... I have recently done it with a very ood friend of mine who is also on this sie :D so there for entering somes dream is possible
I don't know a lot about this but I do believe people do can have a strong psychic connection.
Maybe it can be done. i dont know a lot about it like some of the people in this thread, but maybe it can. maybe it cant. best to keep an open mind
On accident, yea its possible....anything is possible on accident.....and I have heard of some connecting on purpose...whether that is true or not is beyond me
I have connected dreams with friends and loved ones. And we both remember what happened in them it is pretty cool
a connection is possible when you have a intimate connection with the other person
I for example sometimes dream together with my boyfriend and we teel the same thngs about our dream ( so we're actually in each others dream) that was creepy in the beginning but now we're used to it
so forme it's definitly possible
greetings Lost Darkangel
yes i do belive this can happen.... wether we pull someone into ours or someone pulls us into theres.... my hubby and i have shared the same dreams wich one of us it is that actually pulls the outher in i have know idea..... but i find it is very interesting at times.......
