I am a very curious person about different cultures, religions, lifestyles, etc...

I notice there are lots of Pagans, Wiccans, Vampires, Satanists, Atheists, Voodoo persons, etc. here and I would LOVE to know more about each of these alternative walks of life because I am of the utmost fasinated by everything here!

I myself desire to follow down a different path then I walk now, but I think what I desire most is KNOWLEDGE and I believe others like me may as well.

I am sure there are some members of the Occult and such who would love to share their experiences, beliefs, and knowledge with the rest of the world, since difference IS such a rare thing these days...

So, I am giving all a chance to share with us their wonderful chosen path of life!

(If you do not really want to post here, then please message me if you like and I will happily add you to my friends list!

I would love to hear what you have to say and know more about you and your alternative lifestyle.) -^_^-

Any knowledge or experience would be lovely. Thank you!

Wow, OMI, thank you for sharing that!

I would not have thought of a lifestyle or belief system quite like that.

I love and believe in dragons too. They are some of my favorite things.

Don't let people bring you down just because they have a different opinion on what should be believed!

I hope they bring you much luck, safety, and happiness!

I study pretty much all variations of Magick (Green Magick, Dragon Magick, Moon Magick, etc.) yet only occassionally practice it. I guess that could be considered a lifestyle.

Study of occultism is quite the broad topic. :) There is, as you see, a wide ranging list of forms of magick. Sigils is my specialty, Astral Projection, and of course the ever-popular tarot-card reading.

Sigils is a lot of fun to study, especially when you include the varieties of demonic seals, angelic seals, etc.

Some of the more advanced occult topics deal with Qabalah magic, Enochian, and several other high ritual magics.

Astrology is a fun favorite to study trends and the like.

Geomancy is also a lot of fun, the study of sacred geometry and its applications in magic. It actually plays into my sigil work a lot of the time.

For this particular aspect/facet, I can draw two responses.

As much as I dislike bring up the subject of my religious upbringing, I suppose I can let it slide on my own regard. I was brought up in a christian based household, as I attended many churches when I was younger. We'll just leave the denominations at 5.

Moving onto the next matter at hand, regards mysticism/occult. Throughout the course of my 25 years in this physical existence, I have studied the following subjects to a greater or lesser extent at one point or another (in no specific order):

"Mythology"/Philosophy/Religion
---------------------
Christian
Greek
Egyptian
Native American
Zen
Taoism
Buddhism
Satanism*
Wicca*

"Occult"/"Mysticism"
--------------------------
Reiki
Numerology
Astrology/Cosmology
I-Ching
Tarot

Divination/"Magic"
----------------------
Chronomancy
Geomancy
Reiki
Will Manifestation
Eveniromancy (Event Manipulation)
Meditation
Astral Projection
Herbal Chemistry

Studies (Most of these self-taught for a significant number of years no less than 5-6)
---------------------
Sociology
Psychology
Physics
Astrophysics`
Astronomy`
Chemistry
Particle Physics
Quantum Mechanics

I think that about covers it.

*[opinion]Personally, I find to have few, if any, redeeming qualities.[/opinion]

Nice topic! I was waiting for someone to bring this up :)

I myself have been studying various aspects of the Occult on and off for several years. I have some decent knowledge on the basics of Wicca and Paganism. Celtic Wicca I feel a deep connection to because half of my bloodline lies in the Celts(Irish, Scottish, and English - all on one side of the family). What I am really passionate about is crystal magick. I won't go into too much details about it here but feel free to message me with any questions you may have! :)

I follow my own path, It has crossed and aborbed many paths and aspex along the way. I have learned from everyone I have encountered. From a small child forward I have learned and read about most every aspect of every occolt sub culture you can think of and some that I doubt anyone else has.

The path I follow is my own some times I have found others that care to make it their own as well and I have adopted them and tought them over the years and have now had it brought to my attention that they have in turn tought others across the US.. NEVER thought that would happen.

A mix of Occult, tarot, Demonic, geomancy, zen, Buddhism, Astorology, Meditation Checmistry ,Divination as a whole and quite a few other things but I will leave it at that for now..

I really think that you need to narrow your topic down, since this forum in itself covers numerous aspects of occult practices, as do many other sites out on the net.

What exactly are you looking to discuss here please?

All I see are lists of 'I do this'.

Yes, STABB666, you are absolutly right. I was just about to say something about that.

I find it nice to know what everyone is in to, but I did not specifically ask for LISTS of practises.

I thought everyone would like to share a couple of experiences they have had along their different lifestyle, especially those who do certain rituals and such... What did you do? What did you hope to accomplish?...

Also some examples of possibly supernatural or paranormal happenings that may have occured that were encountered along this path... What did you see? What happened?...

I have also noticed that many have mentioned that they practice such things as certain Magicks/Magics and crafts. I love to hear about these too! Another reason why I am so fasinated with the Occult in the first place!

Could you give us some examples of rituals, ceremonies, and such that take place and what is their purpose?... What do they do for you? Are they for healing? Hurting? Strength? Pease? etc...

Please give us more of an explanation. You do not have to tell everything or anything you don't want to be known, but tell us what this alternative life is.

I do not need to hear warnings. I never said I would play with anything. I am well aware of that and do not need to know whether you aprove or not.

I have studied various aspects. Right now I'm just learning and doing a little personal experimentation. Recently I've been working on an energy meditation invloving candles, in this meditation you focus on exchanging a flow of energy with the candle (there is a purpose, but I won't put that in here and I don't suggest doing this meditation without some knowledge/experience). It's quite exhilarating and relaxing. During one of my meditations I had a spirit manifest itself by tapping into the energy flow, I lost the exchange because I was surprised. I could go on a while about some other things but I won't, if you want to know anything more feel free to ask.

1. Creating Sacred Space- gathers together and prepares all ritual supplies needed for this ritual. Candles (red, yellow, blue, green, purple, silver, gold); gemstones (amethyst, yellow topaz). candle holders; chalice x2; cauldron; Athame; wand; sage; incense; Altar cloth; triquetra and pentacle pieces, wine, apples, potatoes wrapped in foil, fire pit.
Set candles in respective corners, placing of: Athame/wand, cup, cauldron, candles, incense, and herbs onto the Altar. Using sage cleanse area of negativity, preparing the area for the circle.

2. Pre-ritual-grounding….. Gather everyone together in the area and have them lightly rinse hands in a pre blessed tub to get everyone in the right frame of mind for the beginning of the ritual. (Patchouli!) Talk about and assign what parts people will take on: HPS, Goddess of wine, Harvest king and queen. (Once standing in circle all kneel/crouch heads down)

3. Actual Circle Casting-
HPS:
“In this circle rightly cast, we sing and dance and hold our rites; we live and love together. Ever do we give our thanks to the Sun and Moon above; We are the craft; we are witches, join us in our circle for this sabbat night. By earth, blade, and pentacle, we create this sacred space, safe from astral curse and blast. Thus I decree, So Mote it be!”

ALL: “So Mote it be!”

HPS: “Welcome Friends”

All: “Welcome”

HPS: “On this Autumn solstice night, we pause briefly to watch the Wheel turn, and we gather on this blessed eve so that we might celebrate this season of Mabon- the time of the second harvest. In this moment between time, we come to praise the bountiful aging Goddess and her consort, our God of the Wine Harvest. We wish to give Thanks and to feel ourselves a part of the relentlessly turning wheel of life, death and rebirth. Let all who would honor her stand in her protective circle.”

(All stand)
4. Calling quarters: light each candle upon the end of calling each quarter. 1 volunteer shall read aloud the quarter, group chimes in after it’s finished.

West:
“Hail!! Spirits, Elementals, and Guardians of the West, powers of water. Join us now bringing to us your flowing, ever changing presence at our circle tonight. Be here now in honoring this sacred season and our Goddess and our God.”

All: “Hailsa West element of Water!”

North:
“Hail!! Spirits, Elementals, and Guardians of the North, powers of earth. Bring to us your sturdy, comforting presence at this circle tonight. Join us in honoring this sacred season and our Goddess and our God.”

All: “Hailsa North element of Earth!’

East:
“Hail!! Spirits, Elementals, and Guardians of the East, powers of air. Join us with your breezy cleansing presence at this circle tonight. Be here now in honoring this sacred season and our Goddess and our God.”

All: “Hailsa East element of Air!”
South:
“Hail!! Spirits, Elementals and Guardians of the South, powers of fire. Bring to us your fiery, transformative presence at our circle tonight. Join us in honoring this sacred season and our Goddess and God!”

All: “Hailsa South element of Fire!”

Akasha:
“Hail!! Akasha, Element of all that is and will be. Bring to us your balancing ways, binding us to them and them to us, in this circle tonight. Join us in honoring this sacred season and our Goddess and our God!”

All: “Hailsa Akasha spirit of all!”

5. Calling of God/Goddess-
(volunteers step forth and light candles after calling)

Volunteer for Goddess: “Bastet! Lady of cats, Great mother to all and protector of women and children. We ask for your guidance on this sabbat night. Heed our call and join us now in our circle. Thus I decree, So Mote It Be!”

All: “So mote it be!”

Volunteer for God: “Anubis! Lord of the Underworld, guide for the dead, and bringer of death and destruction. We ask for your guidance on this sabbat night. Heed our call and join us now in our circle. Thus I decree, So Mote It Be!”

6. Stating purpose-(HPS)
“Tonight all things are in balance; night and day, god and goddess, life and death are all equal. Yet tonight the darkness conquers light, taking us to the darker quieter time of the year. It’s a time to reflect on those that have passed over and those who’ve yet to come.”

“This festival is named for the Welsh God, Mabon (ma’-bon), whose name means “Great Sun.” The story goes that He was kidnapped from the Great Mother (Modron) when He was but three days old, and taken to the Underworld to prevent his light from shining on the land. He was much smarter than the Lord of the Underworld thought, though. During his staying within the Earth, He not only gathered His wits, but the personal strength and momentum necessary to become new seed. He knew His rescue was at hand, and when the time came, He’d need all the power he could muster to fertilize the barren Earth and green it once more. Mabon is a time for celebrating the Earth’s bounty and thank her for her blessings she brings us. It is also a time to remember our ancestors and those who have gone before us. To thank them for the blood that courses through our veins, because of this, Mabon is a time of total thanksgiving- a time when we give thanks for all that we have, for all that we are and for all that the future holds.”

7. Working Magick/ (8.raising cone of power)

(HPS-Pick up basket full of apples. Reach in and lift out one apple.)

“Before you, you see a symbol. This small red fruit is a symbol of the harvest season, of the Crone Goddess. You see a fruit that gives life, yet also you see a fruit whose seeds give death. Beginnings and endings are all one, two halves of the same whole.”

(Each covenor comes forth to receive an apple, handed to them by the HPS, takes place back in the circle)

HPS: “Whom do you mourn?”

(Each person can answer in their own way, mustn’t be aloud if you don’t want to)

“Tonight we mourn the loss of life and light. Just as the apple you hold in your hands gives both life and death, so do our beloved deities. Those who are passed shall return as surely as shall the light. Take this time and pour your troubles, mourning and worries into this ancient symbol.”

(Each person turn away from the center of circle, taking this time to do this. Depending on site, take apple to container for burial after ritual is completed, or toss it into the hole that has been predug for this event.)

“Just as we have sorrow, we also have joy. For this is the time of the wine harvest”

(Each person should turn back in to face the center of the circle)

HPS: (picks up potato) “Potatoes are very symbolic at Mabon, for they grow and take their shape within the earth, just as young Mabon did. Let us start a bonfire and bake our potatoes for a small feast!”

(Each person tosses their potatoes into the pit, after all are in, volunteer lights the leaves on fire!)

HPS: “So as our potatoes bake, let us now have a bit of fun. Goddess of wine, and King and Queen of the Harvest now step forward.”

(Goddess of Wine dances her way to the altar, once at altar goddess should be in the middle with the queen to her left and king to her right. She should have a spritely and playful demeanor. Lifts chalice with left hand and Athame with right. Handing chalice to queen and Athame to king.)

Goddess of wine: “I crown you the King and Queen of the Harvest”

(Takes the grapevine crowns from altar and crowns them.)

Goddess of wine: “Deity now resides in you. Will you bless the harvest wine?”

(Queen moves chalice towards king, he places the Athame inside it.)

Harvest Queen: “I bless this wine of the harvest in the name of the Crone Goddess”

Harvest King: “I bless this win in the name of the Harvest God.”

Goddess of wine: “Follow me in merry measure to celebrate the fruit of the vine!”

(Goddess leads HQ and HK around the circle in a dance that is frolicking and fun and also quite sensual. SHE will decide when to end it. When it ends, HQ and HK shall take their places back in the circle again. GW approaches the HPS first and offers her the chalice with a rakish bow)

Goddess of Wine: “Milady, will you offer a toast to the season?”

HPS: “Bountiful Mother Earth, For all those blessings and gifts which in the hustle and bustle of daily living we have overlooked and taken for granted, we most gratefully thank you for now. Blessed Lord and Lady, mighty and powerful, tender and charitable, forever may your praises be sung by your adoring and thankful children. So Mote It Be!”

(Goddess of wine, take chalice around to each covenor addressing them as milord/milady, until each person has had a chance to offer a toast. Then she begins again moving in the counterclockwise direction, asking each covenor a random unintelligible question, in which each covenor shall respond in the silliest way they can. When done, GW, HK, HQ returns to the altar.)

(Everyone joins hands)

Goddess of Wine: “Does this company still mourn the loss of their light?”

All: “NO!”

Harvest Queen: “Tonight we move into the darkness, we allow it to envelop us in it’s loving arms. We welcome it joyously.”

Harvest King: “Tonight we move into darkness, knowing it is but another part of the light. We welcome it joyously.”

ALL: “Blessed be the darkness bringer of cold, bringer of death and resurrection.”

Harvest King and Queen: “Blessed be the season of darkness. Blessed be the time of night.”

ALL: “Blessed be this Mabon!”

9. Observing Communion-(May be done after ritual) ---- HPS gives blessing before food: “May you never hunger and May you never thirst” one time over. Drink some tea and eat some cookies/whatever decided.

10. Dismissal of God/Goddess:
(Volunteers step forth and join hands; together say the following)

“Now is the time for our goodbyes. Thank you for joining our circle and lending your energies and inspirations to us for this sabbat. Wassail, Anubis and Bastet... We shall call upon thee again when the time is right. Namaste great lord and lady.”

ALL: “Namaste lord and Lady!”

11. Dismissal of Quarters:
Those that called quarters all dismiss together!

“Wassail, Spirits, Elementals, and Guardians of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Akasha, Elements of all that is and will be. We send thee now back from whence you came safe from astral curse and blast. When the time is right again, we shall call upon thee once more. Namaste!”

All: “Namaste!”

12. Release Circle- Walking, running, skipping you chose, circle three times about, envisioning all extra energy grounded through by final circle pass.

HPS: “Though we are apart, we are ever together for we are one in the spirit of our Goddess and our God. Namaste!”

13. Ground out and Centering- Have everyone take a moment to themselves, thinking about everything we just did, and having them ground out.

This was my covens Mabon Ritual last year !!! Blessings

1. [Standard AD&D magic] The first style of Magic is the standard PHB style - you control magical energy through incantations and gestures (verbal and somatic components) using various tools, fuels, or foci (material components).

2. [Wild magic] The second style of Magic uses none of these, but instead tries to release a burst of Magical energy and shape it in the process, which resembles wild magic.

3. [Bonded magic] The third style of Magic is when the mage voluntarily allies himself with an extra-planar entity (usually evil), who provides the mage with power for spells. The unfortunate side effect is that this magic uses souls to power it, sort of like a defiler, but vs. people, so the mage has to trap victims and use their life energy. I used this in my campaign world Kolos after magic was interrupted in that world.

4. [Defiling magic] The fourth style would be a standard defiler from Dark Sun.

5. [Imagery] The fifth style I know about is imagery (as in "The Mirror of Her Dreams" and "A Man Rides Through" - excellent series, by the way) using mirrors to conjure images which you can reach into or extract elements from.

6. [Gem magic] The sixth style is gem magic, in which you store magic spells in gems which, when the command word is spoken, release the spell as prepared. Spell preparation usually takes a long time, but the release is instantaneous.

7. [Bardic magic] The seventh style is something along the lines of the Forgotten Realms' Spellsingers or the Bardic Gypsy.

8. [Elemental channeling] The eighth style is from Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. This is a rather complicated system of channeling the elemental flows of the Five Powers (Earth, Wind, Air, Water, and Spirit). Different combinations and amounts of each result in different spells. For example, healing is a combination of Water and Spirit.

9. [The Will and the Word] The ninth style is The Will and The Way: From David Edding's "Belgariad" And "Malloreon" series. This consists of the gathering of one's Will into an image of the spell you want to use, or the desired effect, and to release the Will with a Word (any word you choose). The desired effect happens. The only 'disallowed' effect is to Will someone or something to die or fade out of existence. The powers of Nature do not allow this, and reflect the Will back to its source, thereby killing the intended destroyer/murderer.

10. [Shamanism] The tenth style, which closely resembles Shamanism from the Complete book of Shamans, would be to have conjured spirits provide magical effects. These spirits need not always be visible; in fact, this works better with invisible spirits, when only the spellcaster knowing where his power comes from. It's been posted lately as "Spirit Mages". This might be basically the same as the Shai'ir from the Al-Quadim setting.

11. [Inner magic] The eleventh style comes from GoodKind's Books "Wizard's First Rule," and "Stone of Tears". These books define magic performed by tapping the forces that come from within the caster. It uses internal forces to control the world around you. This force is called Han. In the books, there are two types of magic: additive and subtractive. Additive is the creation of magical events using the power within you to tap other elements to create the desired effect. Subtractive magic, a.k.a. destructive magic, is considered evil. This magic uses the power within to tap surrounding elements to cause destruction. To make a beard grow is +, while making a beard disappear is -. To create a fireball, you would extract all of the heat from an area. and then form that energy into a fireball. (i.e. if you did it above water, then the water would freeze.) If an individual has both types of magic, then they do not have to use any external forces. They can just tap their own energies. These type of mages are very powerful, and are as rare as they are powerful (in the book, they state that there has been only one mage gifted with both in 3000 years.) These wizards are known as War Wizards. They control their Han through their emotions.

Wizards can be taught magic, or they can be born with the gift. Those with the gift have an innate ability to use magic. For the gift to emerge, the "wizard" must do three things unknowingly with the gift.

1) they must use it to do a mundane task
2) they must use it to save a person's life,
3) they must use it to kill another.

The gift manifests it self in different manners, the ability to of the mind (prophets), the ability to create items magically, the ability to cast spells, or the ability to imbue objects with magic.

12. [Runic magic] The twelfth style comes from the "Deathgate Cycle" by Weis and Hickman. They have two ancient spell using races, which create runes/sigils. These runes basically are created based on harnessing the available possibilities of things that could happen. Once a possibility is found, a rune is traced on an object or in the air, and raw energy flows into the rune, making it operable. Barbara Hambleys Armies of Daylight series uses runic magic to some extent, although she doesn't really flesh it out very much.

13. [Elemental magic] The thirteenth style resembles the Imagery style mentioned in the fifth style. Mages draw solely from the elemental planes, using micro-gates to elemental plane of fire for fireball and burning hands, plane of wind for gust of wind and so on. This type of mage would pretty much be limited to natural type magic (effects which manipulate Earth, Wind, Fire and Water).

14. [Shadow magic] The fourteenth style is one in which the mage summons power from the plane of shadows, and all such spells would be temporary and more along the lines of illusions. As a mage gets higher and higher level, you could have his skin slowly change to a smoky hue. He is weaker in light and strongest in darkness.

15. [Linear magic] The fifteenth style is the ley line approach where a mages power depends on his location. This gives some possible adventure hooks as mages seek out the intersection of the ley lines.

16. [Artistic magic] The sixteenth style is also similar to imagery (fifth style), but deals with art. It could possibly be incorporated into a sort of Bardic magic. It comes from a book by the name of Galatea in 2-D (although, the first word may be Galetea or Galetia or Galatia). In the book, a down and out artist of fantasy/science fiction genre is depressed by his losing another contract, despite having good quality work done on time. To make matters worse, he saw his no-talent roommate from college days, who is now a big time artist in fantasy circles, who asked how he was doing. He's idly doodling, when he upsets his ink bottle right where the figure he was drawing was. It moves. He experiments. He manages to pull the little image out of the paper into 3d life. There is a knock at the door...an attempt on his life...and somehow he ends up in his own artwork... In the book a person can animate/3d only their own artwork. They can also use their artwork as a sort of a teleportation, by envisioning themselves inside the art, then coming out of it. They can create items/guns/zappers/etc. However, the more powerful the item is, the more difficult it is to bring out of the picture. They can also put others *in* their art, which can be just as nasty as the mirror mages opening a gateway to bring forth flame or whatnot from the Mirror of Her Dreams series (see the fifth style).

17. [Channeled magic] The seventeenth style comes again from Weis and Hickman, from the Darksword Trilogy. One person sort of channeled the energy of the universe, and those who would wield it had to rely on these channelers to give them the energy.

18. [Necropotence] The eighteenth idea is to take one type of magic, particularly necromancy, and declare it a separate magic type. This type of mage draws his power from the dead and/or the realm of the dead. (I think) _Wolf of Winter_ by Paula Volsky, had mages whose only power lie in controlling undead, mainly ghosts. For instance, a mage would have to trap a ghost to his will to glean information from it, or send it after someone as an assassin. The mage himself had no true power except to bind the ghost to his will.

19. [Manduban magic] The nineteenth style of magic was inspired by Magic: The Gathering (oh, quit gagging). In this style, the mage has representations of the spells he can cast in the form of a deck of cards or trinkets or etc., etc., etc. This is somewhat similar to, and could be an offshoot of, Gem magic (sixth style). Ever want to explain where a deck of many things comes from?

20. [Voodoo] The twentieth style of magic is voodoo. Kinda self explanatory.

21. [Animal magic] The twenty-first style of magic relates to animals. It would involve bonding with animals, speaking with them, tasking them with things to do, and perhaps mimicking animals.

22. [Esper magic] The twenty-second style of magic comes from Square Softs Final Fantasy 3 game. The ancient gods took humans and turned them into magical biological creatures named espers. After The War of the Magi, human drained the power out of the espers by beating the esper and infused humans and machines and weapons, armor, etc. Doing so turns the espers into a crystal form call magicite. All magic comes from espers. New espers would come either by divine intervention or the mating of two espers. It is possible for a human esper cross, which looks human but naturally has magic and can do special morphs and so on. New magic would also come from mating of espers. Some espers have battle magic were others are healing espers.

wel my child hood was basically slipt into two different ways of liveing.. thought.. all of it. I was .. durning the school year.. raised in my "normal" family.. nice clean white washed Christian values.. nothing to strict mind you basically Sunday Christian beliefs.

But on the holidays and Summer breaks and even now and then just for weekends my adopted family ( members of my dads people) would have me come stay with them. They are Navajo so from about.. oohh 2 I was exposed to anoter way of seeing the universe.

You asked not for lists of what I believe but more experiences.

When I was about.. or not more than 5 I was visiting the reservation to see Poppa and Elk ( my adopted father and a medicine man) Elk was trying to explain to Poppa why he felt the nees to start teaching me certian things at so young an age and not really haveing any luck.

After all I was not truely one of them... red hair that irish milk skin.. I stood out. Elk was haveing a hard time explaining to Poppa why I NEEDED to be taught certian things. As they were talking they walked out back ( now keep in mind here Poppa firmly believed in Elks abilities as a medicine man.. it was mine he doubted) to see what I was doing. And i was happily sitting on the tire swing in an old tree talking to.. well nothing Poppa could see. ELk on they otehr hand froze and looked from Poppa to me and called me over and asked who I was talking to.

I told him the nice lady that always comes to talk to me when I was there. I was told to describe her to Poppa. I did and got a bit scared as his color drained away. I was blythly describing a person I had never met.. nor seen a photo of.. but when Poppa went in to get avery old photo album and asked me if I saw her in there.. I at once picked out a photo of an old lady. I told them.. thats here only she is young now. And that made perfect sence to me lol.

Poppa gave in and my training with the medicine man in many different areas began about 5 min later.

What I di dnot find out till years later.. was I described and picked out a photo of Poppa's mothing that died before i was born.

This was not my first time talking to a spirit. But i was the one thing that lead me to the path I am on. That is what started me learning about so many things that few that are not truely tribe will never see or hear of.

was that more of what you were looking for VFS?.. and good to see you back here you have been missed

There a lot of magick folks on here, I am a sanguine vampire and have been since the age of 3. I have a book that I live by "Practical Vampyrism for Modern Vampyres" by Lady CG. This book has set me up with new ways of getting blood and appropriate blood substitutes such as tartare steaks. I'm in the process of getting two donors lined up. I have to be careful because I'm not immortal and I can die from blood diseases. I also am trying to arrange regular shipments of bloodwine for those times that my donors are unavailable. If I don't have blood, I don't die. The quality of life is lower. For example, I'll be depressed, have physical pain, be tired all the time, anemic. For me it's not a choice. I have tried to stop and paid the price. I donot have medical proof. It's up to you whether you believe me or not.

I don't really follow any path really but study many of the I am into all different forms of magic and vampirism but I am also native and to a certain point do follow my cultural beliefs. Like every one has a guardian totem or spirit and spirit totem (one that represents the self) and clans. There is a lot of things that can be learned with this traditional belief about taking care of the environment around you and gaining more balance in your life.

Hello Brother. The Satanic Bible is a good read. Anton Levey has great points but he is opposing only the christian faith with in the book. I do apoligize to any who may follow that path, for I mean no offence to you and yours. I have studied that though. It is the belief that you are your own God, practically. Turning the other cheek is not something they practice and love is only given to those who they believe deserve it.

In college I studied many forms of Cults and Deviant groups. Two things that intrigued me were Santeria and Palo Mayombe. Just to give a brief description about the two. Santeria, which started in Nigeria, is widely practiced in the Caribbean Islands. The orishas, or deities of the Yoruba people syncretized with catholic saints are worshiped. Sometimes Santeria is considered a cult for many researchers, but Santeria is a religion not a cult. Santeria has a lot of similarities with the Catholic Church, like worshiping of the saints, mass, lighting of candles, and celebrations of the saint’s days.

Palo Mayombe on the other hand, as I studied it, is considered the "Dark Side" of Santeria. Palo Mayombe has its own priesthood and set of rules and regulations. These rules and regulations vary according to the Palo Mayombe house to which an individual has been initiated. A Palero priest's power is so strong that they can take a man of obscure origin and turn him into a very powerfual world figure in a relatively short period of time. Many political leaders have been linked to the practice of Palo Mayombe in order to keep their power and control over the people. It is believed that a Palero can also bring death unto an individual within 24 hours. Palero can make and break you by saying just a few incantations and by performing a few minor rituals.

Will you consider that when you will something in nature and it happens. In my early age I did try some, it released many souls out in vanity, the night before i will the power of earth to show me, the water, the wind and the fire. all four elements did display it out from four directions, but i couldn’t figure it out its just coincidental. some calls it natural disasters but then again why they did happen after the summoning??? It might be or might not be, what actually comes that time were simply a sudden volcanic eruptions, an unexpected tidal wave, a raging storm signal the other I can’t remember exactly. But I did enjoy summoning the rain out during summer that time and the clouds just united and the rain just keep on pouring that was funny to remember coz I really hate my field activity and they just happen. Well it could be or could not be but that concern me less anymore, coz it seems that whatever I’m doing I always feel the same, empty.

"Whatever you're doing now will surely have connections for the things to come"
"Nothing happen by coincident"

Sounds weird, but I am a weirdo, I am the CRYPT -,-

Well, since we have been invited to share our specific practices... (deep breath)

My personal path has become a mix of several different occult practices and studies. I have used all of the different practices in my life at one point in time or another. I would have to at this point call myself a general occultist, as my actual practices are various in nature.

My primary practice around which a lot of my ritual is centered is astral projection. I have been studying it actively and honing my ability to project for several years and I believe it will take me several more years to come to a semblance of complete understanding.

I use astral projection to perform magic on the astral level. I have set up a castle on the subtle realm in which I can either conduct remote viewing, view my Akashic Records (yeah, I have yet to see what's written inside but my sigil is on the cover), and conduct any kind of ritual in the astral temple. These rituals are a lot like the rituals that one would conduct physically, but they are tailored to use on the astral level. As such, a lot of my ritual tends to be rather spontaneous, unless I've written and planned it ahead on the physical realm.

Many of these rituals have had moderate to stunning success, depending upon the occasion and how well I prepared the premise of the ritual in my mind.

Secondary to astral projection, I have also studied a lot of divination. Topics here range from tarot cards to runes to sacred geometry oracles. This has become one of my strong suits and has helped to develop my personal sense of intuition.

Sacred geometry is something I'm interested in and have only begun to study actively. The world of the past and into the present revolves around math. Sacred geometry is the study of shape and form and how it relates to the universe. From simple dots to lines to dodecahedrons, to phi, sacred geometry places emphasis and meaning in both symmetrical and asymmetrical terms and translates them to spiritual concepts and cycles. This is what makes geomancy very useful in the creation of sigils designed for intent.

Lastly, but not least, I have also focused a lot of my attention on energy and intent. What you intend comes into fruition via energy working and energy manipulation. I have focused on this the most in recent years, as it cuts through a lot of ritual and pomp and circumstance and cuts to the chase directly.

However, this does not mean that I place little value in correspondances and the entities that we term 'gods and goddesses'. Quite the opposite, I realize that even the gods and goddesses are energy concepts which we may tap into and utilize along with our own to achieve what can appear to be miraculous results.

My reading has varied over the years to modern occultists like Christopher Penczak and Konstantinos to the earlier occultists like Henry Cornelius Agrippa and his Three Books of Occult Philosophy. If you ever want an intellectual and difficult read, Agrippa is the way to go. X_x He covers geomancy and kabalah quite a bit in his 3 books as well as the often broad topic of astrology (which I have yet to tap into). Hermes Trismegistus (Hermes Thrice Great) is credited with the Principles of Hermeticism that has seen heavy use in modern occult magic traditions such as the Golden Dawn.

That concludes the short version of my studies thus far... Oh and I've also read a few new age books about consciousness and infinite universes in which each being lives a multi-dimensional existence and past and present occur simultaneously.

I was raised in a strict southern christian household, but my mother was very fanatical in her beliefs. so as I grew up, we changed denominations almost constantly as she searched for the one that seemed right to her. While I enjoy reading the Bible for the stories, I do not look at it as anything more than a good book. I have studied and continue to study as many different religions/occults as I can. I usually find something about each one that strikes me as something as must hold on to. Each different study is so intriguing!!!

Much of my occult study came about as I read about several religions and interests on that site. There are good links to reading references and other Internet pages located on that site.

I practice candle and herb magicks on a regular basis as well as read cards and runes on occasion. Usually I do these alone but on occasion I work with my friends who study other magicks along with candle. I find that it is the best way for me to keep growing as a gray witch and pagan.

I was raised a little differently from some, I grew up in a very catholic family aside from me and my grandmother, my grandmother was catholic to the public but privately she practiced Guitana Magia (spanish gypsy magick) mixed with brujeria. And so I grew up learning bits and pieces from her until I was about 14. Then when I was in college I was drawn back to my roots, only I have recently started to feel a strong pull towards the Celtic gods.

There are many different traditions in which one may follow. For instance, I combine Dianic, Eclectic, and Pictish traditions when practicing the craft. If you are interested in any of these, there is a wealth of information on the internet. I think this was a good choice for a discussion. It may be very broad, but I personally enjoy reading what different people say, "I this or that! Some of us shouldn't be such know it alls, and let people enjoy these threads.

Hi Vampirefreakshow,

Well I have only been on the path for short time and still learning. I do a lot of research into something that catches my attention and go check it out so to speak.

I have learnt to be firm and hold true to my beliefs, to test theories and take on board what feels right for me. I don't let anyone tell me what to do or how to be, so I prefer to be solitary on my path.

Currently I am learning about energy how to manipulate it, how to use it and how to rid myself of negative energy. I am also learning about using energy to heal and I have found it an amazing experience. From speeding up flu symptoms to healing cuts or bruises. The best is I have a condition called Iritus and normally I will be debiliated for weeks on end, but with the healing energy I have found that it halves the time or blocks it from happening all together. Its rather awesome! I just can't do it with my migraines lol think its because it hurts to concentrate.

I also have a strong link to the Egyptian Deities and call upon Isis and Anubis often for help and guidence. Especially with the healing.

That is very interesting.

You know, quite a few of you have mentioned following even an Egyptian approach. I find this very fasinating considering I have always loved learning about Egyptian culture and mythology since I was little.

Quite an unexpected surprize to find that this is a path followed by many of you outside of Egypt.

I practice various form of magickal workings, I call myself a wiccan because not to many people understand what it is to be a natural/hereditary witch.

I can bring things about without wording a spell or without ritual, and dis-spell the energy I call into myself it's as easy to me as breathing.

I know nothing of "chaos magick". I would love to know more, if you'd be willing to share.

How does that pretain to ANYTHING that is going on in this thread??...

Is that some type of "calling"?

Is it a riddle to your lifestyle?

Is it a comment to some controversy I am not aware of?

Or is it something toward the people of the Occult or it's fans??

my spiritual preference lies with paganism...I would be what is considered an "eclectic" pagan..because I take from so many different beleifs and variations in the pagan religion, I also beleive alot of wiccan concepts.

I must admit there is something about the earth that moves me...the energy..the passion..yet at the same time in my beleifs I gaurd myself from being damaged by these if they are too intense..

I enjoy practicing pagan witchcraft..I also practice tarot, dowsing, candle magick, and divination by way of my handy dandy pendulum ;) ..I am also a firm beleiver in psychic abilites being harnessed to change aspects of our lives to be in a more positive light.

I beleive in the Goddess whom has many names by her own right.

Blessed Be

-Jenny

I am agnostic/athiest. I almost/do believe in God, if there is one but I do not follow a certain God. I believe in Heaven and Hell but not so much a God. Lucifer, yes. Jesus and Chirst, no. Don't ask me why I believe in one and not the other. Just, one exists in my mind while the other is dead. So to speak. It's very complicated.

My belief system is quite complicated itself. I believe it is very simular to an Aethiest.

I do believe that there are many gods, goddesses, and devils, however, I do not really worship anything or anyone.

I do not feel as though I should be obligated to put so much praise into something I had never met, spoken to, or seen.

But I feel that we may just come face-to-face one day... Then I'll think about it... ;)

I am what could be called eklectic I take aspects from many believes and put them into one(mainly druid). I will normally tell people when asked that I am a Dark Druid but don't get me wrong it has nothing to do with bad Magick, the meaning of dark Druid for me is simple, I drawn towards the night. I prefer to do my rite's and everything else when the moon rules the sky, because in reality there is more energy in the dark hours. I have been studying for 4 years and have done several rituals but the one that sticks in my head the most is the rite I preformed after I lost my daughter. It was a release of pain for me,(can't find it at the moment but if anyone would like it send me a message) It basically had to do with releasing the child's soul from you so it could be allowed to return to earth again soon (yes I believe in reincarnation). Well I really don't know what else to put in this so if anyone has specific questions go ahead and message me.

Merry Part

AS I was growing up I was brought up in a christian household. At the age of 13 my family stopped attending. I lost faith in the christian god after a dear friend of mine who was a devout christian committed suicide. I turned to myself and held others at bay. Then my parents got divorced and I started trying to find a spiritual connection in some way.

A few years later a friend introduced me to Wicca. So I began learning under him. I have to admit I am quite the master at making sleeping potions. However, a year later my Wiccan beliefs didn't suit me so I started looking towards the darker side of myself and more natural.

I started learning elemental magick and deal with energy. I have done many fire rituals(seeing as it is my sign). Some which were as simple as writing my intention onto a piece of paper and burning it.

Now recently I have been trying to figure ways to adapt my vampyr abilities into my studies and magick. A couple of times I have used tarot cards, but haven't found the right deck. So I guess I follow no direct path. I hope this was you were wanting to hear.

Nocturnal Witchcraft by Konstantinos isn't accurate with a lot of things. Though does hit some good facts. Take his writing with a grain of salt.

bratprince: you call yourself a paladin. This suggests that you would follow a strict religious code of conduct. Paladins mainly use divine magic not mental. Is this how you are? Or am I wrong here?

Well religions are all man made or constructs of humanity. We shape and change them as we see fit and this is clearly demonstrated in our historical behavior as a species. So I see nothing wrong in anyone having there own beliefs or paths and encourage it and if a young person decides they want to follow a different path in the future, again, more power to them. :)

dude, very good topic. Hmm... I love working with primitive lifestyles. It's awesome, anyone can do it, any religion, any age, any health. Just slap on some mud and go feral for a while. I'm developing a tribe in my area, we get together and experience our animalistic pasts, it's great

Right now I'm very into enchanted gardening. It's Nature Magic, connecting yourself with The Lady through plants and the ground.

I'm reading "Garden Witchery" by Ellen Dugan. Very good read! You don't need to be an advanced gardener (I'm certainly not) to be able to pick up this book and plant a little something

I grew up in a STRONG Christian household. I just figured one day, is God real? I don't know. I've never laid eyes on him. Is Heaven real? How can something be real when noone's ever seen it? I don't know. I just woke up one day and my faith had failed me in the night. I woke up an athiest and slowly turned my way towards my own religion. I'm obsessed with a Satanist pentagram but I'm nowhere near Satanistic. I like the look of the pentagram. And I search up things on Heaven and Hell and the Angels and Lucifer more than anything else in the Bible. It contridicts itself. It really does. My ex boyfriend read it and he can tell a few things like what contridicts itself in the Bible. I'm just in my own religion. I follow no one's but mine.

All this knowledge and advice from other people only serves as a distraction.
