Do vampires have a sensitive side??

If yes, what are your sensitivities?

I'm not a vampire first of all, but I imagine that they would have a sensitive side if they wanted to. I'm quite sure that if there are vampires there not totally animalistic.

"Real" vampires have feelings just like you and me.

If you're talking about Hollywood vampires then I'd say they probably don't have a sensitive side

Vampires and Vampyres alike both have emotions just like any other human being. So yes, I'd ASSUME they would have a sensitive side as well.

I think everthing has a sensitive side to some degree. There are certain aspects of it that can be controlled through own self mental state of mind

To be honest, I think all of us that are truly interested in vampires & vampyrs, are more sensitive to things than most people, I'd say we see things to a different perspective than other people

Ill agree with that but not because I'm "biased". I think it takes a special person to be as open minded and keep the ability to think on this level. People are concerned with different things in life...it just so happens most of the people here are moreso concerned with "the dark side" hence making us more sensitive to that nature.

Weel I am sensitive, alot, to all paranormal activity, to also poeple's emotions and also to the apin manily of others...it hits me hard like if I was the one in pain, I can even get others pain at times.

I too agree that we are just like everyone else and I know my emotions are the same as anyone elses...
I have a very sensitive side I cry a lot because of other people's pain as well as my own...

Like all humans they will have the full range of emotions. The degree to which they embrace them or let them show is an individual choice that all make. Even the most vicious of killers can have a soft spot for puppies or kittens, so there is no reason to suspect a vampire to be any different.

Yes, I believe so. Vampires are very intune with their surroundings and that also makes them feel emotions much stronger than most.

I don't see why not. Vampires, just like humans, come with a wide range of personalities. So some would definitely be more sympathetic creatures than others, but there are surely some sensitive ones. Why wouldn't there be?

I also think it's kind of ignorant to say vampires don't have feelings, maybe the propaganda vampires of Hollywood don't, but "real" ones have feelings just like anybody else.

Hey the thread is sensitive 'side' it didn't say whether or not all the other 'sides' had to be sensitive vs. maniacal, psychotic, abusive, addicted, or otherwise antisocial :)

I can sense other peoples emotions. I can read a person pretty well and tell them what they need to hear to comfort them.

Hm, them vampires are obviously only sensitive to their own feelings, otherwise they'd feel bad about just ripping a random persons neck out...

But then again most people eat meat, I feel guilty about it but I still eat it :D

I can be very sensitive. I'm particularly sensitive to stupidity. It almost always sets me off.

Male vamps seem to keep there sensitive side hiddin away alot more then female vamps.Being sensitive to a male vamp..is saying..'look at my weak side.' It's not somthing they wanna show.Maybe with family or a mate..they can have feelings and show them.A hot stubborn emotionless temper..is usually showen in a male vamp..and sometimes in females to show power and strength.

For the serious minded---my sensitivities are related to picking up other's emotions and drawing them out to talk abou tthem and see the patterns of their lives.

For the fun minded---my sensitivities include....drinking frozen strawberry marguritas slightly too fast and getting brain freeze....OUCH!

I'm going to answer this from a few different perspectives, as I generally try to do...

First, as a real vampire myself, I have a sensitive side. I am, after all, merely human. Why would I not. I won't go listing all my faults; their none of your business, LOL - needless to say, I have them.

Second, fictional vampires are created by human authors and most people want us to sympathize with or connect to a character in some way; of course those vampires are going to be created with a smidge of sensitivity in them. It might not be readily apparent, but it's underlying and the discerning reader will see it.

Third, and last, let's pretend that our fictional/mythical vampires are REAL and walking/talking/cybering amongst us. While it's not probable, it isn't impossible. Following MOST traditions, were they not once human? Why should they not also have a sensitive side?

I don't think being a vampire excludes you from being sensitive. Everyone has a sensitive side, some it's harder to find. I don't expose my sensitive side to often or to many people. I prefer it that way.

Well, I believe that vampires have a senstitive side. I think that all creatures no matter what are able to have feelings just like humans. I am no a vampire but I think that we all have feelings.

Sensitive side? yes I think they do have a sensitve side. Just because they have animalistic tendencies doesn't mean they don't know how to be nice, even animals have sweet sides.

As has been expressed very well already, we are more adapted at being more keen with our senses both within ourselves and from those around us.

Not a vampire, but I think they do have a sensitive side...In the movies they are immortal... If they fall in love with a mortal and they are not turned, they watch that loved one grow old and die... Okay I might be reaching deeply into my Highlander bag here.. but if anyone has seen one episode of Forever Knight, you will agree that Nick had a sensitive side... They are also romantic so isn't romantic and sensitive on the same side? My 2 cents from my wolf point of view....

If vampires do have a sensitive side, then they probably hide it...kind of like I do most of the time. The only time that I don't hide my emotions is when I'm around the love of my life. But, this is just my opinion. Have a wicked day to all!

Well, Im not a Vampire so... But I did read a book on one and he did. Then again it was a fantasy story but a really good one!

I would have to say that, just like humans, some can have a sesnsitive side. The ability to feel and to be deadened has nothing to do specifically with vampirism, but the subject's own experiences and outlooks.

I dont know if I can truly consider myself a vampire or not but I am extremely sensitive to the feelings, needs, wants and pains of others. I have been told more times than I can count that someone can tell me anything...talk to me about anything that they wouldnt feel safe discussing with anyone else. Do I think that any variation of vampire can have a sensitive side...just as much as an average joe can should they choose to....we all choose to show or not show our soft underbelly in our own personal ways no matter how we choose to live.

im sensitive to other peoples unhappiness, i can always feel when a clsoe friend is not feeling happy

i wouldnt say that i am vampire, in fact i would say i wasnt, though i am intrigued in vampires. hence being a member of this site.
my point is though i am very sensitive to everything. well ...........i cannot think of what i am not sensitive to.

Vampires, especially ones that have been around a long time, seem to be very sensitive to someone who reminds them of someone they loved way back in the day...

Anything is possible, im always been one open for possibilities. Its any vampires choice whether or not they have a compassionate side.

From my own experience from learning from some of my own friends experiences, they are as capable of compassion as any mother does for her child.

I am going to answer this question in two ways. First of all, I am a Vampire, and I have sensitivities (feelings) just like any other being. So if this is the senstivities you are asking about, that is my answer. Now, if you are talking about things that i am more susceptible too than others, well I have a different answer than. I have the ability to feel peoples emotions very easily. I am not sure if that is because I am a Vampire or not. I do have a sensitivity to bright light, it makes my eyes tear terribly. But, I know many people this happens to that aren't Vampires. My one sensitivity that I can directly link to my vampyrism would have to be my cravings for blood. But, this is for the energy and the connection between me and my donor. I don't run the streets stalking and hunting for victims.

Any human being can sense other peoples emotions if they are strong enough, I doubt thats anything to do with vapirism

I guess I'm sensitive when it comes to people's emotions. LIke when someone is sad I feel sad with them even if I have no reason to be. Same with anger and happiness.

well everyone has emotions....i don't care how hard you are everyone can be hurt...wait scratch that there are some socio paths out there and i guess they dont' have any feelings aww hell fuck it the things i am sensitive about is when someone judges me before they know me not that i care too much what people think because it is there problem that they don't like me but i don't like it still. one other thing i am sensitive about is being ignored...i hate that shit any excuse will do just don't ignore my ass damnit....lol

I am sensitive to my partner. While I strive to be kind and nice to everyone i come across, theyre the only one that truly affects me. Call it my akelies heel or whatever...

Vampires and Vampyres have feelings just like anyone else . They live breathe and die just like anyone else . All what Hollywood does is make Vampires look cool . Some are maybe more sensitive then others . Some are good some are bad and others are on the gray side .

I am a vampire and I am quite sensitive- if a song starts off particularly slow for example, it might make me think deeply. If the song continues to be generally slow, thoughts of love and loneliness form in my mind.

I adore music. I am quite interested in the slow, darkly atmospheric beats of Type O Negative (see the October Rust album) or even The Cure (pop in Disintegration and have a listen to what I speak of).

The more interesting something is visually, the more I am drawn to it. For example, I find goth girls so intriguing because they are so different and intricately dressed, though it is not impossible for me to be drawn to more conventional women.

Poetry is something that I enjoy to write and to read. The emotions that can be created by combinations of alpha numeric characters is amazing. Take on a Shakespearean sonnet if you want an example of this.

I most definitely have feelings, and they are sacred and full of complexity.

i am sencative to many things. light, spirits, the elements. i feel soirits areund me the light effects how i feel. To be a vampire and to love is the most powerful experiance you can have a s a vampire.

I believe that Vampires do have a sensitive side and that perhaps they do "feel" on a higher level than mortals do because of their obviously high sensitivity to other aspects of life. Such as our five sences.

yes i believe we do and most of our sensitivities are the same as any other race or life form we have passion, fear, hate and love just to name a few.

I do believe they are into emotional sensitivities as well. Why not? Some are gifted with being able to sense what's going through another's mind or deception or possibly another vampire's energy signature. This could be important to survival.

I think that vampires would have a sensitive side because you know how they always fall in love with the most beautiful girl.
