Yes I do think they are very real. As I have said in many posts before, I tend to atracted "spirits". When I was about 13 things would go flying of shelves, door would slam, water would turn it's self on, lights would flicker and some times go out. This happened for most of my teenage years. Not so much anymore. But lights still go out some times when I happen to be walking by. :)

Some are real but I would mention I have come across some fake ones, but I would admit I do beleive in them.

I believe in their existance, but i also believe their stories can be faked. so i suppose it's all in the credibility ov the person who claims any experiences.

While some things can be explained through science there is so much that can't. However even scientific tools are being used to detect things from the "other side". This to me makes them very very real on all accounts. Personal experiences lead me to a very string belief in this as well.
There are many haunted places where I live. I'll write down my account eventhough I cry every time. There is an old tunnel you can drive through and if you go through it at the right time of night you can hear the screams of the children who died in their school bus there and you can feel them try to push you out of the tunnel.

I have never came across one but i do believe they exist........watchin' White Noise made my opinion on them to be stronger as they can be heard in static.... =)

I strongly believe in Poltergeists. I have read up a lot on this subject. This is quite a bit of documentation that supports the existence of poltergeists.

I've never heard of or seen one that I can recall but I think anything is possible in all cases and aspects of things. A lot of times seeing is believing though.

My friend's cousin is followed by one. Strange things happen to them wherever they move and my friend refuses to sleep at their house. Too many stories to recount here.

they r very real. i had one in my house before. it throw all my book at the wall and it broke my lamp on my computer stand.

I most certainly do believe in them. I think they can be people or animals. I'll bet a lot of people would like to argue about animal poltergeists!!! "smiles"

Yes I do believe they are real. There is a lot of evidence to support that they are real. What are they? I think they are angered or vengful souls who refuse to begin the search for a new body to be born in. For some reason they are attached to their old body and family or friends and just can't move on.

Heh,Glad I never had a poltergeist.They are suppost to be mean and can pick up things..and throw them arround..and can even hurt you.They are just Bad news.And need a priest to bless the house..N' stuff and put them to rest.

Im going with that theorgy. Poltergeists are created by our own minds, therefore if we believe the priest can send it away, it will be sent away. If not, you're a bit fucked

I guess..there is no actual proof of neither an poltergeist or you thats creating things to happen.So really..I guess to each-is own.

Of course didn't you see the movie An American Haunting,that is based on a true story of the Bell Witch,I think anything is possible,I mean do you walk on peoples graves,I sure as hell don't,really don't wanna step on the wrong one,might make someone very mad,and this made no sense as everyone will get used to me and rambling.

It is possible, I suppose. A life force that detaches from it's body may be negative and not at peace with itself at the time it leaves the physical world, and take it's negativity out on the forms of this realm.

A poltergeist is a spirit that has so much anger and hetred inside itself at the point of death that when it manifests as a spirit it has the power to literally pick things up and throw them aswell as making things manifest (like sounds, noises and visions)....they are also very good at influencing dreams.

All spirits have these powers, but none are stronger than those of a poltergeist.

Yes poltergeists are really, my opinion on them are that they are lost souls who have either unfinished business, have been stuck in between worlds of the living & the dead or have been killed in a very disturbing way & want revenge, but may never get it....or it could be some lil old lady who forgot to turn the iron off! lol

but seriously...they are real & depending on how they died & what type of person they were, determines the type of poltergiest they are whether they will or will not harm you!

Yes I believe poltergeists are real and I think they are either nasty people that ended up nasty spirits, or lower level nuisance demons.

I have seen a few events that could be deemed poltergeist but I don’t believe in them. I feel that any such event is the will of a living individual that is in the area. That any such activity is brought about by their emotional state and uncontrolled “psychic powers”, for lack of better words being used and usually at a sub conscious or semi conscious level. Have personally seen this a few areas where children and another adult where severely traumatized and in other areas where abuse had occurred. So I don’t think its spirits causing the events or activity but the people in or from that area.

I believe in them too. Have seen unopened cans fly off shelves, things roll on the floor unprovoked in an old apt I lived in. These things and others happened before I truly believed in these types of things. After many experiences I am a full believer in ghosts/spirits etc.

I think they are real because when I'm in bed my bedroom door opens and I live by myself and there isn't a draft.My kitchen stuff always gets moved around so I'll be movimg out soon

most poltergeists are centered around one person - but not always. i was bothered by one once, but i discovered that the previous tenant was haunted by it too - as was the tenant after me, and the next door neighbour even.

yeh i guess they do since everytime im alone in the house they tend to do very loud noises freaks me out... i go check what it was but nothing....

Yes there are real. And when I was a teen I think one was with me. From what I have read, poltergeists are dark entities that attach them selfs to older children or teens. I think is because they have some much un-focused energy and the poltergeist can feed on it.

Yes... i believe in them... I have had a few experiences where objects have moved on me.... luckily never in a harmful way.....

some-people mistake poltergeists with joker spirits. like slaveangel just said she had objects moved on her but not in a harmful way. so just think what other people think when a joker is just playing around the people think "we gotta move"

I have experienced one, ONCE..
and also a friend has.. over a whole year.
With MY experience, I was with 4 other people. The 'sound' was caught on a boom mic and a night vision camera... we ALL heard the same thing.
Neither of us spoke of what we heard, we wrote it down.
at the time, we ALL shit a brick.. Even the proffesional PI!! LOL.
It was the kind of fear that makes you think you're gonna pass out.

My friend- He had this THING, in his home and it terrorized his family. Ross's G/F (Darren's brother) came to stay.. Stayed in the spare room,she woke to see this grey/black THING peering over to her face and say "no, not the one"
she screamed and went almost crazy with shock.
Darren then became asthmatic, so badly he could hardly walk to school.
His Dad lost his job, this parent split up (they were together since childhood,, they seemed inseperable)... all within 4 months.a minister came over to exorsize this beast out of the house.. Darren had heard this THING runup and down the stairs, starting as childrens steps.. and ending up with HUGE tramples like an ogre or something heavy.
The minister, started to pray.. and he threw up, violently.
He was unable to continue.
Darren left the house, his parent went seperate ways, Ross went near loopy.

All we know of the grounds is that it was built on a OLD farm land... and highway men used to DO things, in the woods.

I read somewhere that poltergeists are caused by the negative emotions of people taking this into consideration and the studies preformed to that effect yes I suppose they are real

I think there is too much evidence to ignore them and their existance.

I think everyone has untapped power within themselves. I think it is possible that if this power is unfocused, and enough strain is applied to a human being, that they could unintentionally cause poltergeist activity.

The ones that like to throw around things and try to make you as uncomfortable as possible to try and make you leave.... I find them cute... but that's really only because I'm a stubborn jackass and refuse to move for anything. lol

Yes, I do think they are real, although I can't say I have had any first-hand encounters with them.

There has been a poltergeist in my house before. No ghosts, though my mother has seen some and her mother has seen some. She saw a female Indian, a Civil War Soldier and a little boy's face in the window. My mom has seen the little boy. I've heard poltergeists in my house. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think I would have to say yes I believe in them. I have seen some in the smoke when my grandparents house burned down.
