I'm going to a tech school to become a fashion design and I wnat to know what you would like to see on the market.

Pink skulls and crossbones. I would wear that.

i make my own clothes. i make a lot of gothic designs. black, of course, lots of lace. chains, thin ones, black flowers on some. not into lolita. sort of morticia dresses.

I would love to see some thing that shows some leg and some thing that shows off your bare shoulders with a black and red rose print on it

I design too. If yuo can accually make them I would give you some designs

Something classy and perhaps leather would be nice.

I want clothing that is very very basic, very black and very big.
While the pants don't need to be outrageously huge, they need to be baggy, but fit at the waist.
The shirts, IMO, the bigger the better.
I am not interested in the clothing with all the chains and pockets.
Pants would need what, 4 pieces of material and the shirt could work with 4? lol
I would want some very basic, no designs, no pictures yadda yadda yadda.

Oh, and one other thing, which for me is the most important.
CHEAP.

I would like to see some thing that is easy to care for. When ever I buy clothes there always dry clean only. I can afford that...grrrrrr. lol And it has to be tastful. Sexy but classy at the same time.

I would like to see more of that soft leather, and longer jackets and more of the old fashioned type of dresses.Lots of velvets and lace, etc.

I would like to see better fitting and quality clothes. One of the primary reasons I do not dress more "goth" is that I will not spend $130 for an item made of cheap polyester that has showing seams and poor construction.

Also having more sizes than the oh so cute clothes that will fit over just my left thigh would be nice.

More plus size would be nice. And I like to see more victorian touches. Always loved the proper with a touch of naughty.

who said people don't like the topic? The point is people are oppinionated about what they wear. If you are going to be making clothing, get ready for people to tell you what they like and what they don't like about what you do.

It is within the forum topic of goth, and most people do determine the subculture by it's style. Style is huge.

VS39 mentioned Victorian that hints and naughty I have to agree, too much is vulgar without the innuendo... I think you should try some styles attempting this :)

Personly I would like something conferable thats baggy and is not made out of cotton but is cheep.

i would like to see goth clothes for fat people like me!...

I like texture and natural fibres...so velvet, cotton, satin,silk that sort of thing...if they're used together artistically even better...my clothing pieces must be classic but strong...meaning that any detailing is minimal yet it's bold and tasteful...I'm not above pink skulls and crossbones...I have those too...and blacks and jewel tones for colouring...:)

I think Victorian clothing is beautiful. I know there's a few variations of updated Victorian-esque clothing such as corsets, and the like. And there's nothing wrong with that. But it would be cool to see more stuff with originality.

I like to make clothing that is BREATHABLE, summer is hell in wyoming! I like lace long coats! They're so perfect for warm weather, and elegant!

Oh, but WARNING, if you go out in lace during the summer day... be careful not to get a lace tan!! lol

But still when making plus sized clothes it should still be tastful. Classy. I see so many girls that are plus sized wearing clothes that just don't fit right. But please don't forget about us skinny girls either. Do you know how hard it is to find some thing that fits right for us? And then there are the medeium girls....We have the hardest time finding clothes in our sizes.

But what I would really like to see is more goth clothes for men. It is so much harder to find good goth clothes for men.

I would love to see dresses with quality bead work. It is so hard to find anything that is not beaded in cheap plastic beads and sequins.

more plus size clothes that show off the good parts but hide the bad... (sorry but a belly shirt for plus size is not a good idea)

I only wear tight clothing, something that shows my figure off fully. In either black or red...No chains or anything like that, just something elegant & classy

I love my tartan mini skirts as well...I've not come across a tartan corsage yet, thats something I'd like to have a look at :)

Anythng dark and anything that is latex or pvc. I think that is so damn good on girls. If I had a girl thats what Id want her to wear.

Here here on the plus sizes! Also, maybe some things that are slightly less obvious, nice and elegant and age appropriate for those of us who are over 30 :) I'd like something I can wear to work but that isn't typical and boring. Fabrics and textures and some atypical lines.

techno-goth. something that reflects the modern age we live in, yet harks back to the past. so basically, something inspired by trad goth, but incorporating elements of technology.

I think in my case...It is harder to find affordable gothic clothing for the heavier set that isn't completely gaudy.

Simple corsets and what not can be difficult to find in larger sizes.

slightly baggy pants (lose) with deep pockets. Red, black or other wise (jean like or other).

Though I have never been over weight (lovely) just I find that most pants are still too tight or way to baggy (oddly).

Plus I do not wear black stuff that much (more common things but with my own little oddity).

But still a good style is a good style.

Fabric and weight is important for me, as well as the creaseability factor unless the cloth is of a linen nature.

something dark and sexy, somewhat revealing, but not in a slutty way...

more tweed, especially if its intention is as counter-fashion.

Oh...oh...a pet peeve that I have...short pants...every pair that I like is too flippin' short...I have to buy larger sizes that I swim in on top that are the right length...gads...think about that when your designing...

I saw some gorgeous shoes, they were 3inch heels & they had a little bow on the toe part...I would've bought them if they were in black or red but they were in hot pink, yeuck

Maybe a tight corset with flowing material attached to the bottom which would go over trousers and the back of the corset would be backless except for cross leather ties kind of like shoe laces

As for the question, i would very much like some good goth clubwear that doesn't make it impossible to dance. I love the look of most traditional gothic style clothing (corsets, lace and leather) but when i go out i want to cut loose and have a great time. Most of it is just not practical for that

Everyhting lately looks the same...all goths are the same...why not some color variation in the black dress style? Not like pink..but green or purple.....or red? And lace..I loooove lace!

I would love to see a piss take of the playboy bunny logo that is vapiric. I would call it the vampboy bunny LMAO....see what ya can design LOL.

I was thin for many years, but now that I'm over 40, I'd like to see more things available to women with curves that don't make us look like a sausage...classy, victorian...lots of lace, bustles, etc. And show that cleavage...it's something you can show off if the dress is made the right way and it won't look sleazy. Elegance for those of us who aren't toothpicks and are "of a certain age".

someething comfortable in more plus size clothing and other dark colors besides black would be nice also although i do love black but variety is nice and i also love the victorian look as well

I see quite a few requests for corsets here, and just a word about corsets. THERE IS A REASON WHY CORSETS ARE SO EXPENSIVE. There are not only increadibly hard to make, but expensive to make. I have made a few underbust corsets and these are huge projects, even the simple 8 peice ones. Spiral steel boning -10-15 dollars, busk 10-15 dollar, workable material 10-15 dollars, grommets 3-5 dollars, grommet plires about 10 dollars, and then you need the string for the back! X.X then you have to make the thing... put it together, bone casing, the front, the back, then hemming it. Its a HUGE project, hence the reason why there are so few places that make quality corsets, that and they go for 100 - 500 dollars.

Georgian and Victorian Clothing.....I love anything grom them.....top hats and tail coats, with canes.

I agree with someone who said less pockets and chains on baggy pants....My Tripps make so much noise it bugs me.

sexy, but not trashy. I like victorian. I also liked the idea earlier in the thread for gothic clothes for babies.

I doubt people here will buy anything that is on the runway. Too expensive. I always look for things that are form fitting but comfortable.
