What are they about?
Have some been since childhood?Have you attempted to have these such dreams, analyzed?
all the time
I dream about my very first flat..thats when i do sleep
I have no Irea why this is because it held nothing special for me
I have had recurring dreams all my life. Some are very vivid and seem to be from another time.. I have had some of them analyzed and found out that they are memories from a past life. Some can be rather scary, but they are a part of us that makes us who we are or what we are to become..
Ello Minx,
I have recurring strange feelings when I wake like something happened or somethings wrong but I never remember my dreams so I dunno.
BB its a idea to keep a note pad by your bed then you can jot down anything you do remember.........Ive been doing this for a couple of weeks now and its a good tool to have !!
Thanx Madam U for the tip I'll have to start doing that.
Recurring dreams... Lately, yes... Nothing special, basically it means I'm having a hard time letting go of a certain stressful period in my life, grow up and move on to the next step...
Yes... that's what it's all about... Me not being able to forget the stress I lived with for several years, now that I have no reason to stress anymore... It's haunting me in my dreams instead.
I don't think you can... lol
Unless you astral project and make your soul write down whatever the mind is telling you in your dreams? :P
Seriously though, the common thing to do is to write down as much as you remember if you remember anything at all... As soon as you wake up. Every small detail can make a difference... And if the dream is recurring, eventually you'll remember more and more... Until you might end up with the whole picture.
:)
I've had one before and it pops up again but I have no idea what it means never really looked into it
I would always have a dream where i could not move while i was laying down and no matter how hard i tried i could not get up, i still have that dream every now and then...
constantly.one imparticular.they do my head in at times.
as far as recurring dreams for me they tend to be a forshadowing of things yet to come somtimes things are used as sighns other times things unfolde just like the dream tells
I'm usually being chased. The background and characters tend to change but all in all it's the same script over and over again. I would assume it's my constant need to "get'er done" - or I've watched too many Die Hard movies.
Yes, and I don't need them analysed. I know from where they come, what causes them. I am reminded of their origin every time I see certain parts of my body and every time I scream myself awake.
I have a couple recurring dreams. Some are from memories and others are...im not quite sure.
I've recently had the same dream twice now. It's scaring the...ahem...crap outta me. I feel trapped with no possible way out in the dream or afterwards. It's terrifying and I actually fear for my life. When I wake up I feel nauseous. But that could be the result of all the dead bodies and the smell I literally experience from it.
And no, I'm not the one that killed them all, but I'm about to become a statistic along with them.
I have said reucurring dreams like an ol movie that plays and plays thru out my life, sometimes its scary for you get dejavue in my dreams, Kinda weird.
I have a dream of tornadoes and destruction that I have been having since I was a child. (looong time ago) I notice I seem to have it more frequently when I am stressed out though!
No I haven't had a reoccuring dream . But I do believe such dreams can be a mirror into the future .
I've had them.
but ive never bothered to tell people about them or anything.
I have had this one dream ever since I was a kid. I am at my grandparents house (the one they sold when I was like 10) and it is Christmas. It is the last great Christmas I can remember so I like having the dream.
I've had some since childhood, all taking place in either the house I grew up in or in a supermarket. The supermarket thing has no real significance, but half my dreams are there.
I have had recurring dreams since child hood and it always me running from something
All the time, Since the age of 7 I've been keeping a Journal of Such events, after waking I Write and Draw what I see / Remember.
For me, the majority of dreams are calm and are centered around showing me certain events usually in the future. I'm much Older, sometimes I have a Family of my own and the "perfect dream". However what I can't quite finger is why I keep seeing the same faces, experiencing the same events over and over.
In my Youth I used to have these weird dreams of a Man wearing a Hood, in a Boat rowing across water. He'd tell me things I don't wish to say here... In most cases I use my dreams as a Silent Guide.
Most of my reoccurring dreams mean things are going to start happening.
For instance, if I dream the same dream for 3 consecutive nights, the subject of that dream becomes reality.
I usually only have recurring dreams when something is going to happen, or when I'm writing about a certain thing for a while.
The story that I'm working on now is the result of a recurring dream.
When I was 6 years old my family and I were in a car and we slid on some ice and stalled on the tracks. We were hit by a train. We all lived, but I drempt it for a long time over and over again til one day I let the train hit me I didn't die and the dreams stopped.
I see visions. Like shimmers on water. Some are like faint wispers, other are clear and certen.
i have this dream every so often...I am a small child walking by myself and in the dark foggy night I hear wolfs calling...as I walk the calls become louder and louder...I keep on walking, then as I look around me I see that I am serounded by these wolves...Everything go's black and a little subtitle like message appears that says" All that was left of him was a small piece of bone"...then I wake with a start...333
i do have reoccuring dreams, quite often actually....it depends on my mood before i sleep and usually has something to o with twhat ive thought about last before nodding off...they are very important to me and ive analyzed them many a time but there are so many different ways you can look at a dream
But when I do have dreams none of them make any sence.
When I was a kid only time I'd have them was when I was sick with a fever. Which to this day I don't understand why.
Hmm well, I don't remember my dreams anymore but used to have recurring nightmares as a child.
I used to go to bed and dream that I was being murdered in my sleep every single night till it came to the point I just feared sleeping at all. I used to sleep with pillows surrounding me until eventually I would sneak down to mum and dads room and sleep on their floor. At least I felt safer there. The only thing I recall sparking these dreams off was watching The Gremlins (I know, it sounds silly.. but I was frightingly scared of that movie and used to go outside and play rather then sit and watch it)
After a while I guess I managed to mentally block out dreaming, or remembering them at all.. now I'm 28 and rarely have a dream at all. When I do dream, they're just odd and make no sense. Fortunately the nightmares have gone. I worry that my kids experience the same as it was a horrific experience to go through. Unfortunately my eldest has said that he has been having a few.
well, I don't really remember any dreams I have now, but when I was younger I always dreamed that I was falling, I don't know why or where I was just kind of falling lol. I have never give this much thought..
Yes I do . And the one I have the most is about another time period and it's so vivid like I have lived it and it stays with me for long peroids of time . Then it stops and comes back a few months later .
Yes....I often dream about not being able to find my car, my keys or my kids. With all of my "searching" dreams, I wonder how it applies to my real life and what I'm actually looking for.
I remember all my dreams. None have ever really been recurring but some have been very similar.
I used to have one, it's been a little while since I have had it though, it was about 3 large black dogs attacking me. I still dont know what it means though.
i used to have a dream when i was young till i was in my middle 20's that i was falling or rolling off a cliff. I also had alot of dreams about my teeth falling out. that stopped when i had dental work done. the other one just stopped and never had it again.
I have had a dream since I was a child of me falling off of a bridge and still have them to this day. As a result, I am terrified of bridges.
I have had a lot of weird dreams about my teeth falling out too but I never understood that because I have good teeth.
I used to have recurring dreams all the time. they are a bit to personal to share on here but they were absolutely horrible. Now upon healing my soul I dont have as many dreams. Now the only time I have recurring dreams is when my grandfather is trying to contact me.
In responce to HEXICA wYes....I often dream about not being able to find my car, my keys or my kids. With all of my "searching" dreams, I wonder how it applies to my real life and what I'm actually looking for.
My dear if I were a betting man I would say that your dream is your minds way of helping you to understand that you are still searching for the truth, in all the madness...you want the confussion about belief and path to end. However it will not until you find that piece of truth that takes you in the right direction...333
I have had a dream since I was a kid about a dirty looking run down cabin in the woods that me and my friends run to only to get lost within the house's many rooms. From the outside it looks small but once we get in its huge and we get lost and seperated. It is very wierd and we find more people inside who are also lost. Once we get in we never get out and I usually open a door a see a women who looks like a whore and then wake up.....Anybody got a take on this?
I don't seem to have the recurring dreams that I always used to have as a child. There are two that stand out in my mind. I'll try to explain them each briefly in a nutshell:
1) I didn't always have this dream around Halloween time, but at certain times of the year I'd dreamt that I was out trick-or-treating with my classmates. Somehow I ended up lost and seperated from the group. I remember standing in the middle of an abandoned town with only a few street lamps with the yellow lightbulbs instead of the white ones.
2) Another recurring dream involved my mother and I constantly being followed by this creepy guy who looked like he'd escaped from jail. Anywhere we'd go, he'd be there. In one part of the dream, I'd crawl from one side of the house to the other so that he wouldn't see me walk through the living room and see me from the bay window. Yet when I'd get to the side of the house where the bedrooms are, I'd see him looking into my parents' room. Then mom and I were out driving to my aunt's house, and I saw the man walking his doberman down the same road we were driving on. This is the dream that still bothers me the most just thinking about it.
The scary thing about the second recurring dream is that when I first saw "Men In Black" in the theatres, once Vincent D'Nofrio's character gets the giant cockroach bug inside his "body suit", he looks EXACTLY like the guy that was in my dream. And for some reason, even though I never have this dream anymore - whenever I watch "Men In Black" the memories are triggered and I'll have that dream again. It's weird and quite disturbing.
It is not a recurring dream of where, but of who...
Of the one I keep in contact with from the other side, a guide of sorts. Always the same guide, sometimes a differant location. Most of the time we are either sitting, or floating over buildings. But it always leads to talking in my sleep, and most of the time it wakes the wife up.
And no, the guide is not an angel, but looks a bit like the Anne Rice discription of Magnus.
Oh, I bet that's wicked. I've known some Native Americans that have dreams of their spirit guides, but what they describe isn't anything like yours.
I don't usually remember my dreams.
I have been having dreams about VR lately though...it's so funny.
Two nights ago befor I went to sleep I was thinking about why my level kept going up and down.....no big deal, and I thought I'll look it up in the FAQ....but ended up dreaming the answer lol
I always had recurrent dreams, and yes, some of them from childhood...
The hint is, the most part of recurrent dreams are usually nightmares, and it has to do with things in real life that we could not face in the past. Thats why, in symbolic forms, those things comes to us in dreams. Dreams are talking to us, about unresolved things in life.
Personally, my most recurrent dreams are:
* seeng myself crossing a frontier or something...
* animals eating the face of corpses.
Of course, I have another recurrent dreams that are not nightmares, and they has to do with things in life that were very important to me.
* spiders
* double things... Such as Two suns, two trees...
Yes, I have analyzed them with help of therapist. I have understood their meaning and waht should I have to do for them to dissapear...
Well, I donno, like this, at the first thought.... but yeah, I keep dreaming of having sex with super hot girls all the time!!
So, what that means?? A childhood trauma?? Or am I having astral sex?
When I am unsuccessful at falling asleep, I found myself on top of a building and I get thrown off, my legs "running" - nasty way to wake up
I think, for my own experiences; to analize your own dreams, you have to be open minded...
Isolate the primal idea of your dream, then, what is the first idea you have about... what is the first thing or person you relate it?
That, will be a key to understand your dreams.
i have had these two recurring dreams since i was really little. never thought to have them read though. it makes me sad when i think about them but i am always left with a rush and checking to see if i am physically ok... sometimes bruised sometimes not..as long as i am still breathing after i wake im ok
yea, i dream something about my death, 5 years later i dream it again, i am re-dreaming old dream, that weird...
pain, do you actually die fully in your dream? just curious. usually if you die in your dreams you are supposed to have died in life. just wondering
My recurring dream is about being in my old house and nothing is left there except a few pieces of furniture while all the doors and windows are locked and unbreakable, leaving me stuck inside. Any thoughts about what it may mean?
i used to have recuring dreams when i was young, but not anymore. however, i do have dreams that are very similar, in that the setting is the same, but the events happen differently. it's almost as if these dreams are serials - dreams that follow on or take place in the same location, but unfold differently.
every year on my b-day i dream i am going to die in my 30th b-day and i am 25 years old now dose that count
I have had this dream three times i my life:
IN a nutshell...our home is taken over my aliens, and i try and get everyone to escape...and when we do, we just alk around the block ad go back into the house...And they are gone.
Apparently, this means that there are changes going on in my life that i am not happy with, or that are worring me. and i am looking for an escape (obviously) and a way to get rid of whatever it is that is causing the change.
The three times i have had this dream....First, my parents got a divorce, Secondly, we were moving to Canada, and thirdly, I think..it was just bc i was growing up and wasnt ready.
Most of my other most memorbale dreams aret he same situation or ppl, but are in the same places...
I have one School that is made up of all the schools i attended and a couple malls.
There is also a train station that is made up of a theatre and a few places i dont recognise but know ive been to....my dreams are always i colour as well....and they are like stories...they continue on, like an episode or chapter.
That's my bit :)
My dream patterns are all around odd. I can concentrate on a dream I had before and then be able to experience it again. I have been able to control various settings...those dreams are actually pretty fun.
I also have these other dreams that just "pop" into my head and while they'll be dreams I've had before, I have no control. So, for instance, if it's one of my nightmares, I have to go through all the horrors I went through every time before until the end of the dream. I hate those. Then again, I have written some of my creepiest stuff that way. Sometimes, the nightmare stops when I do that.
After I had surgery, I have had these terrible nightmares of someone touching my foot. It was like night terrors, I didn't want to go to sleep. It felt very real, I could feel the pain. I would get foot cramps that probable would add to it. My husband said a similiar thing happened to him. He would have nightmares of bleeding to death after he had a major bleed.
It's all subconscious, nothing to with magic or premonitions- if your not psychic. If you are, than you may want to pay attention to recurring dreams.
I have recurent dreams, its not always exactly the same but it is similar in alot of points, it always invovle my kids, they always get kidnap, and hurt, there is always one fo them dying, ether beheaded or drown and I always try to save them but I keep being stop and block, arriving to late...
I have had a few . All different time periods , but I feel a strong connection to them like I have been there before.
i do have a recurring theme that i dream a lot. it's about travel. sometimes i'm getting a bus or coach, and sometimes i'm getting a train, but it's always hassle. i have to wait for the train or bus, but when it turns up, i'm not ready. i don't have all my luggage together, or i don't have all my clothes on. then it invariably turns out that at some point during the journey i find out i'm on the wrong train / bus, and i have to get off.
i end up not sure where i am, or miles away from the next station, and then i often find out i left some important part of my luggage / clothing on the wrong train / bus.
Myn recurring Dreams are My Demons.
demons from my past.
Usually when i am stressed or Agitated i have the same dream.
as upsetting as they are i fight them but i do not alway's win.
I belive some of it is due to Intuition.
Your sences arousing your mind that all is not well.
i have had a few different rec. dreams most i dont remember till im dreamong and when i wake i realize its the same one...its always me in this same big brick mansion that had been on fire,im always looking for somthing but i dont know what.i have many books on dreams and i look up most of my dreams when i awake but this 1 still confuses me...maybe i died there b4!
Since childhood, I have dreamed of a manor house. It's "haunted" by things called Fears (that is actually what they call themselves in the dreams, love it when dreams analyze themselves.)
The neat and interesting thing about this recurring dream place, is that it has evolved from a maonor house to an inn of some sort. I dream of this place atleast five or six times a year.
Well my dreams effect me and many ways. I just got out of a really bad relaysonship and the dreams I have makes me wake up crying and just all in a mess. I know it is what happen to me in the past and it is not still effecting me now.But I look at it as a sign that I can be much better then that thing was ever. But as I see dreams they are always telling you sumthing and they will help you out in your everyday life. Look from within.
i dream of dreaming... liek a tv in a tv..it happens often
had a bunch of reccuring dreams, in wich some things come for me, to get me, or other things, just trying to get you in all kind of ways, and shapes. That was going on for a while, but I got pissed off eventualy, way too much, so now, I am not having problems with fools in my dreams, cuz I grab their bodys, or what ever they are using, and crush them, smash them, break their bones. So they end there in agony, (and it iseems soooo fucking real as well), so they dont return trice.
I have one dream that keeps reacurring and I know its meaning but the woman in it keeps evading me. I know it may sound strange but that is how it is.
Not a recurring dream as such, but I do keep having dreams that take place in the same location. Been having them for years. It's an amusement park, set out unlike any i've ever been to, and every so often a dream will take place there. The same thing never happens twice, and they're never bad dreams, I just find it odd that it's always the same park.
WoW.. CV.. I have had a strange dream lately of being in an Amusement Park.. A DARK one.. with Witches and Goblins quite Unkind.. You just reminded me of it!!
Bizarre
I have had this recurring dream for over 30 years now at least once or twice a month always the same...all the details are not here but this is the dream:
I am in a long dark green velvet gown, with silver candlestick in hand, walking down an elegant hallway with wall sconces lit amongst the paintings in the vast hallway, down a long and winding ornate stairway at least 3 floors to a sunken library. Three walls covered from floor to ceiling in books, huge carved fireplace with carved lions on either side with a large fire roaring. Near center of the room is a large ornate desk and another large dark wood table with several volumes piled on it. A large dark brocade wing back chair has its back to me. I can smell a pipe and see the tendrils of smoke curl upward from the other side of the chair. I am drawn to this man. I walk up to the chair and place my left hand on the top of the chair and as I go to turn to face the one who calls me . . . I awake.
For some reason i never have that many dreams or atleast i do not remember the dreams i did have, but when i do have a dream they are always bad ones, and i do have one dream alot...
I have had recurring dreams but it only happens once every few months.
At least once a month I dream about being in a car, on a bridge, and driving into the water, and there being an explosion at the surface once the car hits the bottom.
It's always similiar but something changes.
I usually dream about that when I feel that I'm losing control of my life.
Yes I have, and usually within a week some changes within my life.
I firmly believe that dreams are our subconscious, and that this should be listened to... try and figure out what you are repeatedly trying to tell yourself by picking up on colour, emotion, shapes etc.
i have some now but i had them more when i was younger. i remember my first premonition in a dream, it was when i was in kindergarten, i dreamt of a boy riding on a bike past me and my mom when we walked home and he fell...the next day it came true XD it was hilarious...
yes i do most of the time but when i do have the same dream more then once the come true
I tend to have the same one............ repeatedly....... when its a ................. Gift from others................. At least that is what it seems like........... Not my memory... not my thought...
I wish I could remember my dreams...... haven't since I was little....but when I was little I did...
I usually only have recurring dreams when something life changing is about to happen. Sometimes I can interpret them and sometimes I'm left confused until the dream comes to pass.
The running off the bridge and drowning in my car dream, the ice cream truck is satan and if he sees me through the window or door I will die, and finally the usual someone stealing from me....I hate most of my dreams.
I'm like you..... The only time I have reoccuring dreams is when something big is about to happen.... the funny thing is that I don't dream about the specific event it's just a general dream..... I have yet to hone the specific control over my dreams....
my one reacurring dream is me fighting of legions of demons by myself, I have had that dream ever since I was 9 years old, only it doesn't scare me anymore, now i welcome it!
