Does anyone believe that after you die that you can come back from the dead 100% + I dont mean as a vampire either or another life but like christ did and rose from his grave. If so how do you think one would go about coming back from the dead after they died.

People die on the table all the time...while being operated on...from heart attacks...snake bites...seizures etc.

You don't have to be "special" to die and come back.

Thats easy if its not ur time u live if not ur going to judgement!! Ive survived death once and after that I know Now I deffently belive in jesus now thats 4 sure!! NO going back there 4 me....... So I changed my life now 4 good!!! after what I saw earth is great!!

as for the whole short death and comen back to life . had it happen more than a few times one main one was when i was under a car on jacks with just rims , my friends said between them freaken and tryen to get it off me took over 10 maybe 15 mins , by that the ambulance showed up , they counted me dead for 7 then my chest just swelled with air and i was back dizzy but back . now i didnt see nothen the whole time but blackness i was aware the whole time hearing everything including myself , but i dis no one for there faith for i know we go on but were i dont know and wont claim to.

sorry thought i would share , but for that reason i believe there could be away , it give me a bit of faith towards it.

You die when you are meant to die. There are no accidents. If you die and "come back" then you were meant to do that, probably as a wake up call.

This is a legitimate question. I don’t think that someone can be brought back to life once all life is gone from the body. I think that death is really final. Once all electrical activity ceases in the brain a person can not be brought back to life.

If you understand why and how you are alive in the physical in the first place, you would understand how possible it is to "come back."

If you look in to some myths some cultres think its possible . Thought I have never seen any that have you come back as you once were . Its always as the undead . Then there Is the lich which is dies , but throught evil magics lives on .

Well the soul could possibly come back in another person. Also, if you fake your death, and now tricks like how to hold your breathe for a long time, but I don't believe it's possible to die, and come back to life with out the use of science, magic, or just force of will.

working with the dead..i have seen some stuff that would make you pee yourself..i do believe you can cheat death..i have seen it to many times not to believe it..

Ayana, Have you seen someone that was really cold and dead come back to life? I’m not talking about someone that was still on fringes of death. I don’t mean being revived after flat lining. I am talking about someone that has been in a refrigerator for say more than twenty four hours coming back to life.

Personally, I honestly believe it is possible, if your will is strong enough. But you have to not only cheat Death, but the Fates as well. So it wouldn't be easy, but I do believe it possible.

If you've died and have been buried...I don't think that you'll be "coming back" any time soon...your done...BUT there maybe slight possibilities...if the circumstances were just right...for this to happen to someone...say...if some one was pronounced dead of hypothermia...BECAUSE of the decreased cellular activity during hypothermia the body can actually take longer to undergo brain death...SO...there is a possibility that some one cold could be undead...

there is many stories and report events form the "zombie", ppl that had been dead and buried then came back formt he grave. but of course they were never 100%, it seems they were lost and missing some part of themselves.

like ststed up above. that many stories from the past that people have risen from the grave after they are buried. propmting bells to be placed over fresh graves. probably where alot of stories of monsters came from

It's not possible to come back to life after being dead for a long amount of time. After so long, your body and organs start to dry out and deteriorate.

If you have been brain dead for over 6 minutes you are going to be a vegetable if you are revived. No questions asked.... Do ya think Jesus was a vegetable? lol

I agree and disagree with some of the responses. While I understand there are certain things that are required to maintain and create life I still believe it is possible. Now I don't mean if you're dead and buried but if you are not, say buried and not pumped full of chemicals for decomposition then I think you can. I know that the brain has died but if your faith or your will is strong enough, if your desire to "cheat" or "refusal" to accept death or simply as others have put it "when it is your time" then yes. I think many things are possible it is just that most of us don't really believe in such things as fact until we know someone or have experienced it ourselves.

Medical science keeps pushing back the boundary of death. It is possible to fan the spark of life back to a flame. Thing are done today that would have been miracles just a few years ago. As for what happens after no spark is left, well who is to say, cold can preserve the body, but freezing destroys the cells. But that is still not magic

Re-animation Possible or not it would be less the personality that originally inhabited the body.
Re-firing a corpse well that can and has been done but you will not hear about it,and if you have would be wise to keep it in a secret.Possession of a corpse is a topic I have been looking into.

A couple of people have mentioned that this might be possible if your will is strong enough. I would like to know what that means. Is it the will of the person that is dead or the person that is bringing them back to life? Either way could someone explain how a strong will would help in bringing a person back to life?

Even if per say one would come back to life after dead and buried they would die shortly after anyway, because the needs oxygen in order to work... In older times it wasn't uncommon for people to be believed as deadby the doctors then wake up in their coffin only to suffocate and die... That doesn't help you much though... Just a random bit of information.

i do not know if this is possible or not for i have never experinced death myself i suppose it is stories have been around for centuries and back then some cultures did not bury people right away so i guess anything is possible

but if you mean like re incarnation science supports it, energy can not be created nor can it be destroyed but it can be transfered, thun when you die you become worm food which is eaten by birds which is eaten by cats which is eaten in dimsims LOL no but seriously some people do eat cats, anyway you see what im gettin at, the energy from you which was eaten by the worm gets transfered on and on again

Well, I believe the Soul still holds some connections to the body, after total phisical death has occured, so I think, yes.

Everything is possible, with a strong will/attachment.

Well I work for the dead at a funural home and Ive seen first hand people after being left in the freezer before alll organs are removed come back to life raising up and banging around!

To ours and the ambulances doctors in some cases this does happen but not in all. Scary stuff if you ask me these ppl are alert and dont know how they got there after they awake from this event.

So yes I do belive a person if dealt the right hand can come back if its not there time to leave.

Depends on your definition of death... or how you see death... is death a change of energy... like a match becoming carbon... or is it the end of flesh...

I don't think it is possible for someone who died to come back through the means of a miracle..though I know there have been cases that are medical as TheDarkWolf has said other then that just up and returning to life is very hard to believe as possible.

Anything is possible, but I believe once your soul is released from your body it continues to it's next life.

I dont know about coming back after being pronounced dead. I do know of people, including my self that have been so sick that they have actually been either standing looking at thier body while it was being revived, or found them selves back to the ceiling.. looking down at thier body. so if that is what qualifies..cool

Cheating death is really a misnomer. Nobody cheats death. Sometimes it may be delayed, sometimes an intervention prevents it from occurring when it might have, sometimes miraculous recoveries are made. But, in the end, death always wins.

If one were to play cards with Death and tried to cheat him out of some chips, chances are vengeance would come with a gale wind.

Sooner or later, Death will have his way. Kind of depressing but the game in the meantime is fun.

One could argue the whole clinical death (which you can come back from) and biological death, but it is pointless. The first is more truly near death while the other is true death, and like you say, you don't come back.

Cheating Death is not possible either your going to die or it's not your time yet. Resurrection comes after you die, when you die you don't 100% come back, your dead until Jesus comes to Judge you on judgement day.

i do think it is possible for the dead to come back to life. You seen or heard about it many times and like other people had wrote- on the death bed in the hospital some people have die and came back.

I did read a story once from Doreen Virtue where she tells a story about a time that her cat died and her mother and herself prayed and put their faith in a higher power to return their pet to them. And miraculously the animal returned to them.

I don't really know if it is possible. But I think that the body is like a machine, it houses the soul and the soul is in control of the body, so if someone dies prematurely they can possibly come back to complete what task they were suppose to complete.

I also believe in life after death, that death is just another step in the journey.

Some people have been dead over 3 mintues and have been brought back...with no brain damage at all.

People have indeed come back after being declared dead. It is indeed possible, but not if the person has been dead for more than a couple of minutes.

maybe its because to many people out there accecept death as final and are not willing to try find a way back from the dead or believe that it is possible or they are scared to try to come back from the dead because they are affraid of being stuck someplace in the afterlife where they can not get out of like purgatory

First the human mind is shallow and incapable of fully understanding its potentail, if there was a way to do this could we really understand it? I passed over to the afterlife say 9 years ago and they where pretty sure I was a gonner. I don't talk about what I experienced much, due to it still gives me chills, but I was brought back, I wasn't truly dead yet, as in brain dead, but my heart had stopped, I was a flatliner, but I think my having a strong will helped me to find my way back to my body. I think as long as a single strand of DNA exsists....and it does for years after death a certain type of regeneration could take place, but we are not capable of understanding that yet, we are still learning.

Some tribes still believe in all that and have practiced making "zombies". Granted in the olde days they had less acute equipment thus their potions of death worked. Then would revive the individual making them a "zombie" It was nothing more then a potion of variable poisons that slowed the body to a type of stasis or hibernation if you would, then countering the poisons "re-animating" the person so to that extent I agree nothing more.

there has been some cases where peope have went into a death like state, was barried and rose from the grave. but now some places require the bodies to lay in state for 72 hours before burrial and if you are imbomd then there is no comming back.

There are ways that I know of but those ways are forbidden. That is dark stuff that should never, ever be toyed with. Doing something like that always has a consequence. If you come back or you bring someone back, something else may and usually will also come through. Something that does not belong in our realm.

I believe the spirit can come back ie. reincarnation, but when the body has been dead for a little while - too many chemical and physical changes have taken place to be compatible with life again.

there is no such thing as cheating death either you are ment to live or die so if reincarnation is the fact of the topic then change the name of the subject

I dont believe you can cheat death, When your dead your dead. And If your meant to die your meant to die. Everyone, everything dies its a cylce. I believe it can be broken just like any other cylce but i dont believe you can come back 100% the same person without any help of being a vampire or recarnation.

I dont think that you can come back from the dead as it is believed Christ did. Because most often a person dies because the body is no longer able to sustain life. So in order to come back 100% you would probably need a new body which would mean you didnt come back 100% because you would be someone else

I believe everyone has their time. When you die (when the soul is separated from the body, permanently), that's it, your body stays dead, your soul goes on to either be reincarnated or what-have-you. The body cannot be reunited with it’s past body because the body is no longer living. It cannot be sustained even though the soul lives within it; they have to be balanced. It’s like having cereal with sour milk. The cereal is still good, but cannot be eaten with the milk... Because, really, who wants to eat that? Okay... That was an awful metaphor... Hopefully it gets my point across.

No one in written history outside of Jesus Christ has ever cheated death. It won't happen again.

What about organ transplants? Parts of your body live on even after the rest of your body has decomposed. Many of the organ recipient's have supernatural experiences. This is a common medical procedure.

As true as that is, it has nothing to do with coming back 100% after you were completely beyond medical science could revive.

A small portion of your body that is transplanted does not mean that you as a whole have cheated death. However parts of you have prolonged their existence. :D

The post says "Cheating death", not cheating death a 100%. If you live on even through a liver or a heart, isn't that cheating death ? Part of you is still alive.

If you are dead then that is it, there is no coming back. Body parts being donated does not count, it is not YOU or your consiousness coming through your liver, or any body part other than your brain and they aren't donating that yet.

But body parts are "You", they grew in your body and you developed them, no one else.

True, they are but I look at it from a consiousness aspect. It's not as if I die, my liver is given to someone. I'm not swimming around in my liver saying 'Wow, i'm glad i'm still living on in this persons body'. I know they say come recipients take on traits of their donors but I believe this is simply hormonal and chemical makeup of the donor. They react differently to different people, the same with a lot of medications.

I know someone who has had a liver transplant. and he doesnt have any residual affects from the donor.

Well, death happens because something in your body stops working, you know? Your heart stops beating, or you bleed to death, or you stop breathing.
Our bodies fix little problems that happen, and doctors don't do anything our bodies can't do. To an extent. Death, is when nobody can fix it, so the body just stops, and we die.
If we were to rise again, then our body would have to fix itself while its not working and we would be alive again. If that was possible, we'd not have died, but have merely taken a rest.

There has been some medical breakthroughs in being able to bring people back but only to some degree. If someone is dead though and completely gone, they're dead.
