This is the continuation of the last that was closed for length..
There is alot of hype these days about aliens and E.T.'s. My question is do you think the rumors are true that they are living among us ?
I think they do exist....but I don't think they appear like they show them in the movies and such...If you know about Area 51 you would believe...
I am also unsure but as stated there are so many things that can't be explained and everyday something new comes along and blows things right out the water again.. So I say yes it is possible that they are among us and walking around and talking to each of us on a daily basis and we have no clue.
just posted this in the doomsday thread, might as well put it here too..
Enjoy..
It's hard for me to say either way, but why not? If i was an alien & could explore the planets & galaxy i would stop wherever i could to take a look around
Just like humans having little colonies in unknown areas, it would be a safe bet that there may be some ET's living on earth. To study and eventually take over... j/k... I don't think we have any right now but as stated by another VR member before mine, There really isn't a way for us to know. As humans we should not discount the possibility of other intelligent beings being out in our vast space we call a universe!
it's unlikely we are alone in the universe, although i have no proof (ha!)
the question is do other worlds have advanced technology that can get them here?
i'm of the opinion that unless they stand up and say "hi earth!!!" we won;t know if they are or not
Yes I think it very possible that beings from other worlds live among us. There are just to many advancements made to not think that humans had a helping hand from some where.
I’ve thought about this question before, have/do beings from another world live among us. There are, obviously, many accounts of abductions and sightings. However, skeptics find many ways of de-bunking these claims. So, without adding any personal accounts or videos and pictures that cannot be verified into the question, I tried to think about this question without these things.
I’m sure most people are familiar with the way Douglas Adams cleverly deduced the average population of the universe as zero. Well, I won’t do that exactly, but it’s in the same arena. Given that the universe is infinite, it stands to reason that the number of galaxies is a really BIG number as well. The number of solar systems in each of those galaxies is also a staggering number, for each galaxy! Using our own solar system as an example, it’s clear to see that only one or two (or quite possibly none) of the planets in these systems may have appropriate conditions for life. Even still, we start all of this discussion with an infinite universe. So, I think it is far more (infinitely, in fact) PROBABLE that there are many more life-bearing planets in this universe than our own. Given this, then it is also within the realm of possibility that there are many more intelligent and curious species that may have ventured out into to the universe just to see what’s out there. So, COULD beings that originate from a planet other than this one exist here on our planet? I think that it is very probable. However, given the level of technology required that would, theoretically be needed for US to go visit someone else in the galaxy (let alone the universe), it also stands to reason that WE are very ill-equipped to either observe those beings and/or to report their existence to anyone else.
So, in the end, my discussion is moot. However, it is a very interesting subject because we cannot come to a definitive answer. For now, there is always room for more discussion and points of view.
I believe that there are strange and many things in this world I dont believe that aliens are with us but then again we will never know the answer to that guestion
don't you think it would be easy to tell if there really were aliens living among us?
*at the cafe* "yes excuse me, ill have a jar of jam, on fire, and a python served with some hot sauce, got to have a little fight before i eat, and one more thing please. can you bring to me a thesaurus soaked in oyster juices with a splash of chili sauce please?"
it could always be possible that aliens are living among us. Who knows if they can shape shift then its very possible
Well anything is possible. Who is to say that there aren't aliens living amongst us or that we are from alien stock ourselves.
Look at the Mayans or was it the Inca's who use to deform the heads of their babies to look like aliens. If they were there back then why wouldnt they be here now.
And it is also possible much of our advancement in technology may be alien oriented... anything is possible!
I truely belive that they do and they watch us from a far wondering what we are like
Seeing if they can clone us so that they can look more human like
i am not quite sure if they do,i guess i am still undecisive on that, but i am curious if they do how is it that they could adapt from their life to ours,i am sure they must think we are just as weird as they are if they do live amongst us.
YES i do believe they do it would be very selfish of me to think they don't.
I am not saying it is possible and I am not saying it isn't. It would be mighty arrogant of us to believe we were the ONLY humanoid in the universe.
YES! They live in my neighborhood! Their names are Juan and Jose'!
Seriously though, how many planets are in the universe? Who knows? And for that matter, who knows if the conditions that support life that we have here on our planet are not very similar to another planet somewhere else in the universe.
How do you know you haven't seen one yet? Do you know what they look like? Maybe they aren't "human like" at all! Maybe they're microscopic. Maybe they're transparent. Who knows? Anything's possible!
we cant be the only people in this universe. im pretty sure they watch from a distance then get invole in our culture and disputes from our primitive ways
It is poosible and I like to believe it, but without proof it is hard to believe that they actually living amongst us. Also the question is why would want to live amongst in the present political climate, when all they see is the bad side of mankind.
Theoretically I think it's possible however, like I've said in the past, I am of the opinion that certain "aliens" like the "Grey's" are actually our descendents. In other words what we might call an alien may be nothing more than our ggg-grand kids coming back in the past to say "howdy" or do any number of things.
Just my point of view on part of the "alien" issue.
I bieve in the possibility that aliens do exist. The only issue is that there hasn't been any proof of aliens but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist just no scientific proof yet.
i think theres things living amoung us. but i think that they all look like us. but thats just my opinion.
Why not we walk among plenty of people who don't belong here. why could there not be aliens too.
Do I believe in aliens? Yes
Do I think they are here right now? No
Do I think they visit us? It’s highly unlikely.
Think about how messed up we are with resources right now. We are virtually at the brink of peek oil (the point at which we run out). We have used up nearly all of our natural recourses and we have not become space fairing people. If we were to assume that humans are a pretty slandered way of how a species creates civilisation and expands then it is more than likely that any other life out there probably find them in the same position as us. They simply cannot make the jump into space; they don’t have the resources left after the expansion of their species across their planet.
Don’t get me wrong, i think it would be lovely if aliens really were living among us, how interesting that would be. But if you approach it from a logical stand point it’s really just very unlikely that such a thing could ever happen, unless they were living on a planted that was 50% metals, and 50% fuel.
I tell you this much if they come here again they better buy insurance for their craft, or get better pilots for their craft, I mean that whole Roswell thing, that would be an embarrassment to any E.T.aunt. How long do you think they had to wait to find out that the mission was a scrape?
it's possible that we are technically aliens ourselves so it could be

To think that we are the only intelligent species out there is a joke.
i think that theres a such thing as things living among us. it scares me though.! lol.

Why should it scare you? Before some species of animals were correctly identified, they were considered alien but it didn't scare anybody. lol.... There are still more to be found... They are here and they are among us but they're obviously not doing anything to harm us so why worry?
Personally i think that it's possible that they're living among us but dont think that its probable...If someone else came across our planet the way it is now I think they would just turn around and head home
yes i'm a believer as i've seen some pretty strange things in the sky a few times flashing lits and stars that are bright one minute and disappear the next
I do think aliens are among us. I have seen many things and when it comes to Area 51 I live in the state where they crashed. I did so many reports on aliens and i have seen some very remarkable things in the sky. things i couldn't explain. A lot of the things that i have seen i tried to find a military craft that could do 90 degree turns but i found nothing. nothing that could do that. I have had many experiences and some are unexplainable. the crash in roswell was a big part of my life and the thought of others out there among us opened my mind to the many possiblities. piramids on mars and the face of the sphinx there too. there is other life oout there. we are not alone.
I also don't think aliens live among us.But what do I know for me though I want to see before I believe.
No, first of all, why would they be interested in living among us? Im sure their lives are way better. Secondly, I dont think space travel is possible. The nearest star is millions of years away. So unless they can manipulate space time or they can live for millions of years how are they going to get here?
Even if aliens did exist, what point would they have in traveling hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of light years to earth just to abduct someone or land here? Certainly though intelligent creatures they might or might not be they could find much better places to live.
FolRacht -
If that were so don't you think said aliens would be a bit ... disappointed in our technological advancements?
e.g. They would have to have the technology to travel thousands of light years in a very short ammount of time. It would take us years to travel from here to the sun which is only 93 million miles away.
I Like to think that they do, i mean outta all the billions upon billions of star systems out there, there has to be some sorta intelligent life forms. The odds are too high that there is life out there
I wouldn't say they live among us but are happy where they are.
I believe in aliens, but not like the kind in movies or books. I have a hard time believing that humans are the only intelligent life forms in the universe...
I believe alliens live among us and are just like us
They change in our form to live on earth do as we do and learn our ways they are more experienced in electronics then we are very smart
Simply put:
No. I don't believe aliens live among us.
I highly doubt Earth is the only planet with living creatures on it. The Universe is pretty big, by my own ideas and logic, there is most likely life out there.
Are flying saucers hovering over us? I don't know. I don't really care... I'm sure if we were capable of traveling trillions of miles through space to look at other planets with life on them, we would. So if aliens are capable of that trip across space, I'm sure we'd be interesting.
But.. does it... matter?
It is a huge definate possibility. Yes they are probably more advaced technologically than we but wouldn't us humans be curious about a lower civilization out in space if we were to find it?
There are a lot of unexplained things out there. Lights in the sky...and stories so similar from people who live thousands of miles apart. I would say it is a huge possiblity that they live among us
They better be otherwise this ticket for galactic travel is a wasted 6 grand.
first I would like to make a note that this thread would probably be better suited in the sci-fi section. second I will say that I belive there has to be somthing else out there what are the chances of there being thousands of galaxys and us being the only life forms in the universe. That would make for a whole bunch of wasted space don't you think? but I do not think that they live among us, but then again I could be wrong.
I feel that we are not alone in the universe and that this planet may have been visited by other beings, but I don't think that they live with us.
Thanks Oceanne Interesting youtube vid
The Youtube vid is a massive hoax, especially the pictures of "giants". They were entries in a graphic arts contest. That one with a person next to what appears to be a partially dug-up skeleton was originally a photo from a mastodon find.
And that alien in a jar is probably another of many "thing in a jar"s made by a number of people using Sculpey and diluted coke with a mason jar.
You crack me up, dabbler.
Now wait a minute, how can we know for sure?
I mean if I saw a video, of how they make a good alien in a jar, I would have reason to doubt. It is better then camera effects, if they wanted to fake i, they could have just as easily photo-shopped it. This is obviously not photo-shopped.
They wouldn't photoshop it, because then they wouldn't have it in real life.
http://www.traipse.com/thing_in_a_jar/
There's a website describing how to make a thing in a jar, and anyone with a little sculpting expertise can make a number of those 'aliens' in a jar.
Why live here were are a self serving people(not all)with war, mass hatred and bullies. Come for a visit-yes- stay no way.
We now have this picture as compelling evidence . The sad thing is that so many people photoshop, or craft hoaxes, that nobody takes it at face value.
Is it not reasonable that someone found a fetus of an alien being, and I would pay a dollar to observe such evidence. These people are not charging people to see their alien in a jar, so what is the motive for a hoax, they are trying to get the thrith out there.
I wouldn't consider it a hoax so much as a hobby item. The guy who makes abstract art in a jar doesn't make them for profit while claiming their some alien fetus or something, he just makes them and gives them away.
See now you have me doubting the authenticity of the alien scat. BTW it sets of a geiger counter, and glows in the dark. 5 dollars a slice..
no, frankly, i do not. give me some empirical proof and then i'll be convinced.
There is an alien in a jar.. how much evidence do you need?
Even if it is a hoax, then how did they get the image to reproduce? They had to have had a model right, so it was an alien.
Sure, dabbler. If it makes you happy, it's an alien. lol.
Absolutely. It's made in a lab in area 51 to make you think that they're covering something up, then they deny it on the surface so it looks like they have something to hide, when they really do, but they say they don't, so you're constantly distracted by trying to prove they're hiding something, while in the meantime, they're preparing for their most evil plot yet! Aliens that steal your underwear at night!
For a minute there I thought you where critical to my well presented case. Hard to dispute such evidence as that.. isn't it? I don't have to see an alien to know they are, or have been here, I have all those accounts from hicks, and yahoos. Do you honestly think those hard working grass roots people have time to sit around and make-up alien abductions?
I did research on aliens a long time ago. I used to be really big into them. They say that aliens may disguise themselves as white people with blond hair and a clear complection.
I don't think they live among us, but I do know they exist.
I got one of those Aliens in a jar and was told it was the only one in existence!!I've been conned.
Lol, seriously I feel that really we cannot say yes or no...can we?
I could care less what people believe, I just want to tap into the commerce of Alien Believers, I am not only a believer in the profit margin, I am convinced. So who wants to go on the next alien sighting tour, 75% garuntee you will see an Unidentifiable Craft
yes I do. I feel that their are different races of them.
Yes, dabbler, you caught me. Your evidence is 100% irrefutable.
Honestly, I stopped taking the discussion seriously a while ago.
that's ok aliens have a sense of humor about their existence as well, us I am sure they are terminally amused by, people accuse them of probing them.. How odd!
Iv seen alien craft, iv never seen an alien … where I seen the craft I can only imagine they communicate with the navy or observed it. Mind you iv slept with some girls who are out of this world. lol
I believe rumors are true, that they do live among us to some certain extent, or a certain larger extent, among us, beneath us, or somewhat distanced in each of directions, but certainly all around us, those which are capable masking their true appearance, and those which are already similar enough to walk undisputably appearing as a more or less ordinary part of the human society. Who knows how many are stranded here by accident stuck with these postindustrial barbarians, and how many are here willingly for observational purposes, conspiring, or how many were here all the time, even long before they made us, conspiring. One can only imagine how many human like androids are part of the society, or how many clones are walking around freely as well, knowingly or not. Besides all these possibilities it is safe to assume that the present composition of our society is predominantly human, from where ever all these different biologies came, and how ever they found their way on this planet, and many new that are about. We will see, we will see, future brings changes, and the best future can offer to us as single individuals, native or not, human or not, is the capability of a space flight with a modern safe and refined space ship, where the doors to the truth of our surroundings will finally be opened, where we will undisputably engage contacts and communications with all living that is surrounding us, learning more and more. Before all that can happen a certain reformation is necessary which will make obsolete all those selfish ideas of control, eventually giving true freedom of movement, or asking the question, and getting a correct truthful answer as well. Only then questions like these will be capable of answering them selves fully, who is here, or what, who is else where, what might be our purpose to all that, actually what is the complete truth about our surroundings.
I doubt very much so that aliens are truly living among us. For instance, what purpose would an alien have in traveling billions of light years just to come to earth? It makes no sense.
Bah. It is not billions, thats all bull$hit. For observation of course.
How could you be sure? I doubt you've sat down and had an eye-to-eye conversation with an alien.
How would an alien know there is life on this planet? Do they go around scanning or visiting every planet they visit? They would die before they could even check all the planets in a galaxy.
And you tell me, what would you do with all that super-duper technology, huh!? Eat a New York cheese cake!?
Can you prove aliens even have advanced technology? There's no proof of an alien technology on earth, so how can you be sure?
All talk of aliens is here say without any proof what-so-ever to back it up.
Duh.. Hyper space 200 Cylinder Engines. Aliens are born fully educated as to the function of their species, this is common knowledge on the inner circle of esoteric alien matters.
We can even go to those waters Distortion, and start analyzing those theories in to detail, and which are less probable as a state of our current reality considering this topic.
I think it is all dimensional, you don’t need to fly that far … star gates n craft
I believe that reality is far more probable and rich than your current suggestion.
Alien technology would equal space travel.
Space travel would equal coming to earth.
Coming to earth would equal living among us.
It would fit in. So explain away.
Well, thats your explanation. Is it my fault because it is kept hidden from our eyes for certain reasons?
Why would it be kept secret?
Humans are an observant race, are they not?
Not much could be kept from us for long.
This isn't a political matter. Aliens are not government related. Therefore they're able to be discussed, no?
I believe they do exist..but i dont think they look like what is in the movies... I think they look just like we do...
How can we honestly believe we are the only living thing in the universe. It is so hugh there has to be other life forms out there. If there are (and I believe there is) I have no doubt that some of them would be living amongst us.
La6Muerte66 -
Not really. We only miss when we don't look. When we look we see. Your comment "avoid bring politics in here" really has no purpose.
No, we have to know what to look at, and most of the time, we're told what to look at, what we're seeing, and what's there or not. In the words of Chuck Palahniuk:
“The sound shivers through the walls, through the table, through the window frame, and into my finger. These distraction-oholics. These focus-ophobics. Old George Orwell got it backward. Big Brother isn't watching. He's singing and dancing. He's pulling rabbits out of a hat. Big Brother's holding your attention every moment you're awake. He's making sure you're always distracted. He's making sure you're fully absorbed... and this being fed, it's worse than being watched. With the world always filling you, no one has to worry about what's in your mind. With everyone's imagination atrophied, no one will ever be a threat to the world.”
Politics has everything to do with it, and as such, I'll have no further part in this argument.
i think that they were once here, they had us built the old cities, maybe we killed them all, maybe they died in the flood. my answer as to whether they are here now is, no
*I shivered when I read that concise prose from chuck.. what book was that in?
if aliens are not among us, then why are we the tax layers paying the salery of The MIB?
I really am interested in the whole subject about aliens, who they are, what they want, or to which extent have they infiltrated our society, starting with all those very important positions, but besides that it is pretty clear that it doesnt matter actually, aliens are all around you, and they are are mercilessly preventing a man from expressing him self, what he sees around him self ands knows. So I think that it really doesnt matter much because we as individuals of a lower position can with certainly predict that the outcome of these speculations wont climb over the speculation it self, since our positions do not allow us more, and it wont. Our thought process ultimately inevitable turns to that fundamental thought how we as humans always need to satisfy our need for nourishment so we can successfully continue our speculations about our surroundings, so in order to make more out of this whole alien topic idea, but to endlessly speculate, I thought on those most essential thoughts in the first place, and that is how to make our topics more useful by satisfying the most essential needs, and making more than just a speculation, but productive functionality as well which is to us undeniable necessity. In this case I wonder, since it really seems the most beneficial way of thinking considering the inability to process the topic with more result, how would a one hard boiled alien soup taste? Really, have you ever asked your self? If there are aliens out there, we certainly are allowed to eat couple of them? Or more? If nothing else but for all those heartless abductions and cruel dissections. We must pay them that back, show'em we aint for screwin'. Or a fried one if you like fried more, eh? No, not those human alike of course, but those ugly little insectoid reptoid what ever sons of b**ches. I really gave it a deep thought of how would it be, whats best to cut him, sliced, diced, minced, how would he taste, what kind of spices would I use, or maybe he needs no spices. I must admit the idea of a smoked alien ham drying in the cellar of my house really tickles my imagination beyond comprehension. And the sausages, the smoked sausages, gently stuffed into a prepared intestine of an alien, with care and delight. I wonder how would an alien smell in a frying pan? I would be delighted to expound on every single notion that these culinary experiences have to offer, even write a book, something like, The new culinary delights of the Terran system, with a subtitle, how to correctly prepare an alien, or, Ten tasty ways to prepare an alien. Certainly it wouldnt be a mistake start a interstellar restaurant business, with something like, Terra the only place where you can eat an alien, or something short perhaps, like, fried alien, or, stuffed alien with more alien all you can get! I guess we can find out only one way, next time they crash we dont offer them drinks, but should just pump'em fulla led, take'm home, dissect in return, and cook'em with whiskey and marshmallow, and try them are they good for anything lil' balloon heads. It would be an interesting attempt to try and craft a trophy toothpick from aliens small finger bone, while rest I'd give to the dog, so he can enjoy him self some alien as well. Id giv'im soup too. Just imagine, my friends, the beauty and freedom of that experience. $hit, id love to eat an alien. I really do.
I can just imagine that whole situation from Dreamcatcher playing itself out because you decided to eat an alien...
