What do you become?
After your flesh is dead, and your heart and mind are no longer functional, what do you believe you'll be? What is in YOURafterlife? Maybe nothing at all? Celestial matter? Reincarnated?

I have my own beliefs, but I wanted to hear your opinion.

i do believe that your soul lives on. whether it goes to heaven, to another plane or just stays in this plane to wander aimlessly throught time i do not know

I think u go into another world in a new body but with the same mind and heart

I believe in reencarnation. I don't believe that we are born once and die and rot. Nah. Doesen't make sence to me since I believe in a spiritual path for each and every one of us.

Does anyone think that bodies are much like robots until they are filled with a reincarnation of life, then become life? Kinda like people without souls. The closed-minded.

I agree, I find it more plausible then just being left in another dimension or whatever...

I believe that where you go after death depends on your beliefs, character(ie Heaven or Hell), and your own choice on whether you want to stay in this realm as another (can be anything, from an ant to a wolf, human included) or go on to the next realm or be part of some other parallel universe or dimension entirely.

I think you remember past lives as Deja Vous and in dreams...

Sometimes I get this familiar feeling in the stars. It's a safe feeling. After I think about it, being in the stars wouldn't really be safe, but why do I feel that warm "home" feeling? I know it's because they are always there...but how long have they been there for me?

I think we are all energy, and UFO's and sightings have alot to do with this energy source we all are, just traveling along into space. When we return, we DO carry traits (being a vampire, etc.) along with us, IMHO. And I can't even begin to explain how old my soul is.

i believe in reencarnation. but its not something that i would want to happen for me. if i cant do all the things i want or need to do, i dont see the point of being givin another life to possible fail at the same things

i honestly have no idea what happens... i used to be christian and then branched off to develop my own "ideas" about life and God... but im still workin on the after death chapter... so im studying books on the subjects and all... any suggestions please message me

I tend to lean towards reincarnation. I believe that our energy lives on, and that there is a "soul" that carries on and grows in each life.

I believe you keep going till you complete what you came here for. Soul goes from body to body till you do what your ment to do.

well just from past experince a vampires soul lives on in a differnt plane but 8 out of 10 times they come back to live again til they are awakend once again.

I simply will become nothing.

i would like to believe that considering the amount of time some people put in to ensuring their "rightful" passage into the afterlife that when you die you fulfil the passage you honestly believe is true....perhaps this seems a bit utopian of me, but it's a similar theory to the placebo effect where you think something is true therefore it is....considering people are able to build entire realities when they're alive, i don't see why we cannot build our own realities when we die...whoever said that one thing was true for all people?

i believe death is nothing more than a nightmare or a dream

seeing as how neither matter nor energy can be destroyed then that leaves us with only one option. We go on in a differant form. I believe a spirit one and the only traits we take with us as the better ones.. I am of the christian faith so I suppose Hitler will be the jerk he always was tho.

I believe in reincarnation.. but I do believe after you die you go to a place, for me it would be summerland, and wait until you want to be reborn again. And when you go back you usually meet the people that you knew in your past life in new life as well as new people.. For example.. I meet my mother and father from my past life.. and if you put us three together we look so much alike that it is scary and we are all very similar... but what had happened was my mother from my past became my pagan teacher and best friend while my past life father became my lover and mate for alittle while, but was also my best friend..

To set something straight.. I didn't figure out my past life until after I started dating him and she became my teacher..

Anyone ever think they died and didn't know, or still don't know? Like in the movie "What Dreams May Come" with Robin Williams? (I think death is much like that considering how our final thought will forever remain after we are dead..)

well i heard a story about a christian martyr who was sentenced to be burned on the the stake... before his sentence was carried out he made a promise to his friend that if there was an after life he would clap 3 times... and once the fire was out his friend watched the skeletal remains' hands clap 3 times... i forgot who the martyr was but i use that story for hope or a case of coincidence

Well, we define as we will to fidn sence in ourselves, and we cant do that until we think we have an idea of how the unknown is going to turn out.

reincarnation has got to be one of the worst ideas of all time, seeing as how everytime you come back the world is a bit worse off than when you left. That would be the height of irony in my mind

why fixate on death? living people dream of so many things. dead people only dream of one thing...and thats to be alive agian. i try not to think about it. its not of my concern at this present time.

i think when your flesh dies your soul still lives on and you came back as a new life of some sort if you are a bug a person or animal.you still live on

I believe that the soul lives on after physical death but the afterlife varies for each person. I think that ghosts exist and these are people who have not allowed themselves, or have not been allowed, to move on. I also believe in reincarnation in which case I think a person will seek to come back to try again. Only when you are satisfied with the life you have lead do I think you can move on to your version of "heaven."

I hope to simply pass to another plane of learning...

I believe that the body that you are in now is a temple that embodies the spirit. The spirit will always live on, even after you die. When your body dies, you will live on as if nothing ever happened to your temple. While you are on this earth, you must still respect your temple as you would respect yourself and your higher power. I also believe that once you do "move on", that you move to another dimension as many would call it. Lastly, I have had many encounters with De Ja Vue, and I feel that this De Ja Vue is something that you have seen from a past life and are reliving it here in the present. I'm sure the stars have a lot to do with our lives, destiny, fate, and all that too, but in what way I don't know.

i think when you die your soul is broken down then rebuilt and given to a baby.

If a baby is a still birth it means that the soul it was supposed to have didn't escape, like if the person was revived.

It makes sense to me, but then again im a tad insane.

I really like that theory LeSang, its a ncie one to hold in your belief system... but I just dont see why a soul has to be recyclable...

i believe my spirit will go into the next new soul to make it strong to survive its entry into life till its mind can share with my lifes scars and go on from there as this spirit in me from someone elses past

even though no one really knows for sure what happens when you die, I believe in Reincarnation. My theroy is that we are souls in a body, not a body with a soul. Once our body dies our souls will transfer just like energy transfers. There are too many things that have happened that proves the theroy of reincarnation such as meeting someone for the first time and feeling like you have known them for a very long time, dejavu, dreams of a different time that you have felt like you experienced it, going to a place for the first time and knowing exactly where you were and where to go even though you didn't have any clue about the area. A good book to read about this is Discovering Your Soul Mission by Linda Brady.

Its scary, but it may very well be true.

If the soul was recyclable,I think it would be for mistakes we've done in a past life,or regrets or oportunity missed.So we have another chance.

I believe that when the body dies, the soul goes into a different plane, and continues living there. It is reborn into a different body because it has a mission to complete so that it may acheive perfection.

Im not trying to knock anyoens beliefs, but why is this? Why might there not be the possibility that the soul or personality/mind simply ceases to exist.

I personally believe in reincarnation. I don't believe there is a heaven or hell though. So basically, your spirit lives on. I also believe in Soul Mates, that your soul/spirit may have had contact with other souls from lives long since past. Which is why some feel an immediate chemistry.

having passed beyond the world of time and change, you can no longer choose a different reality as the ultimate love of your life. if your basic love-choice was good god remains your eternal possesion(heaven) ; if your basic love-choice was something less than absolute good the eternal loss is hell.

The only definite is that you are no longer what you were. This may seems obvious, but it carries great significance.

Well I believe that we all come from a greater energy and when we die as we know death we return to that greater energy.

I think I would like to believe in multiple paths after death. Reincarnated into the unborn child ( I don't think you get to choose who. I mean, who wants to come back to a starving, dirt poor family who would sell you for a slice or cheese?) , into the light, into the fire & brimstone, or into the collective consiousness..
The choice is yours.. but I could be wrong ;)

After my last post I sat thinking for a moment on reincarnation and the theory of genetic memory came to mind. That is when select memories of direct blood linage get imprinted into your DNA. That could explain past life dreams or memories.

I'm a next plane of existance kind of girl. I also believe each plane is connected, and depending on how strong your energy is and how well you can minipulate it, passage between the planes is possible. The form energy takes is different on each plane, but conciousness is intact, thats why spirits visit us from time to time. As for past life rememberance on this plane? Is it past life, or genetic memory? That sounds like a subject for another time.
