I never heard of the details. But I like Malice Mizer, I've got a lot of there music on my PC and also a lot of their awesome photographs!

Oooh, there's LOTS of Visual Kei who followed the suit of Malice Mizer. If you've ever picked up a copy of The Cure magazine (in Japanese) it's crammed with photos and stuff. The outfits are gorgeous. @_@

Oh hey it's Mana hehe. Everyone else has noticed so far too. yay. If I had the money for all the costumes and wigs trust me, I would dress like that all the time. It's a beautiful and complex style that blends simplicity with crazed designs that you don't notice until you do a double take, which you know you will ;)

But one of the best things about this style to me is, It's a man ^.^ Damnit men can be feminine and sexy.

Yeah Malice Mizer practices this I'd believe. I find it a strange style yet still wonderful.

That really is elegant.. Looks high priced too. lol. It seems to have a certain sophisticated look about it as well.

I actually had to do a little searching to see what it looked like, but it is pretty cool. I would totally try to emulate that kind of look I think. If I had the time and money. :)

Yes it IS pretty expensive. I searched around the net and the original items were almost all sold out, therefore they are hard to find - and the rarer an item is, the more it costs too! Not to mention that the real stuff is hand-made.

Of course there are copies, but even those are not cheap!

P.S YES isn`t Mana great?! I love that androgynous look. Manson tries to reach out for it, and David Bowie tried too during the eighties, but Mana is THE MASTER.

In the states, Los Angeles, California, I believe there is a traveling underground type circus that does club shows like this.

I have never seen this before. Truely elegant. I don't know that I myself could pull a look like that together, but I absolutely admire that style.

In my opinion it seems like taking the Asian Gothic Lolita look to the next level. I admire the creativity of those who keep expanding the boudries of "goth" fashions.

Yes, it does not only require money but the right facial features too I think. You don`t necessarily have to be Asian to pull it off, but certain physical traits ARE required.

Have to agree that the styles are gorgeous and something i would definetly be wering if given the chance...

What do you think about the androgynous look? Where males look like females and viceversa? Do you think it a perversion (many people do). As for me I see it as a work of art and a reaching out towards true beauty, which is sexless... if done properly of course.

A slight correction, Androgeny is not where males look like females and vice versa. The art itself involves the balance or illusion of intermixing elements of both genders in way way that the protagonist appears of both or none sexes, a sort of of expression of a pursuit of ethereal perfection which many have mean in their different ways to express very beautifully.

I think the androgynous look in this context is attractive - but it's not my "ideal" beauty. Again I think you have to have the right look (stature, features etc) to be able to sucessfully carry EGA and look elegant and not like Boy George :)

I have absolutely loved the subculture since my discovery of it in the very late nineties. The style of dress, and the elegance of the clothing is just to beautiful to pass it by.
