I believe that if you dont know how to use ur spells correctly it could come back to you so yes but thats just me and my way of thinking hon

all magic is black magic people say there is white and gray but black magic is magic that gets us what we like and may hurt other people but some people get hurt just know you have something they dont

i agree it does matter how well the person can do the spell, but i also think it's just like karma...eventually it'll come back and bite you in the ass. but that's just me.

I think it depends on how and what the magick is used for.if its done to inflict pain on someone i.e in revenge etc.like in life itself you reap what you sow,what you unleash can come back at you 100 fold.and it seems its always the bad stuff that comes quickest

Okay the better question here would, For those of you have actually done Black magick, and caused the death of one person. or even a thousand what effects did you observe in your own life, do you believe your still paying for the actions, or were you justified and open ended enough in your requests to not have all that put on your shoulders.....if so, what did you gain from doing such an act? offer that many souls to the infernal gods you must have something to show for it right?

Ah yes a pain spell....WELL from a witchcrafted perpective pain is caused by the removal of that thing which one enjoys, so there for by sypathy if you take away what that individual enjoys then you yourself gain it. They are miserable, you are happy....Simple....

Now if you want to look at it from the light perspective, well it feels pain, lets burn it out to make it hurt in a new area where there wasn't pain before so that way the pain is gone....fk that....

if you look at if it from a dark perspective.....i hurt because of them doing something to me, well fk that, you feel the pain you caused me...*bam* hit by a car (always my favorite) it manifest in the easiest water down a mountain side way to get you what you want, to feel better...

Anytime I have worked with "black" magic, I have always taken proper precaustions against the whole 3 fold law thing. I've never had anything come back on me or anyone I loved and cared about. I suppose that if you aren't careful it's possible (or even likely) that it would come back on you. You have to know what you're doing.

with an action comes a reaction meaning if you do bad then surely you will receive negative and vise versa for good..karma will play a big role in the usage of magick.

If you believe you will get punished for using it, you will. Doesn't matter whether it's black, white, grey or multicoloured.

I believe if you do not use it the manner it is to be used yes you can.

there is always a come back law, no matter, if its good, bad, black, white, magic for personnal gain, for abuse, or help, it comes back one way or another, in life every action has a reaction.

I think if you know what you doing an use magic the right way you´ll be safe.
But if you play with magic for fun and don´t know what you dealing with in can go realy bad...

I believe that every thing you do good or bad will come back to you in 3's . So I rather do good than bad . I like to go by the Wicca Rede .

it is a matter of intent. What you put into your magick is what will come back to you. Good or bad.

Yes I do. It could come almost immediately, it could also build over time waiting for the right moment. But the more you do, the worse off you'll be later down the road. I normally only do healing magick and I have stayed from magick that will harm another person purposefully. If the person is a threat to you...then I don't really know how that works. I don't know what type of white magick defense there is for that yet. I am still learning all of this myself.

Oh ofcourse. Now there is a difference if you are casting defense spells.

I believe that you will only be punished if you have used the magic to harm someone else. If you have used it for defence and or protection, or to advance yourself in life somehow then you haven't hurt anyone.

But to use it to deliberately harm another, well your asking for trouble in my books. Always remember the 3 fold rule. What you cast returns to you 3 fold whether it be bad or good.

There is no such thing as Black or White Magic. Magic is Magic its the way that its used...You can use it for good or bad..Some people think there is a line between Black and White. But in all reality Magic is Magic..And its the way that You use it that determins weather You are using Bad Magic or good..

I agree with you rexenabflowdjf there is no such thing as Black or White..Its the diffrent ways people use it..I have used a mixture of things in my studie but yet its the way you use it that matters...I have used what they call black magic or dark spells for protecting others and visa versa...there really isn't Black or white it does'nt determin what you are..Magic is Magic ..

So for those who have responded as three fold, law of return stuff.....Have any of you actually done magick? read anything other then the cheap books that are common at any bookstore other then wicca for dummies? and stuff by like authors? Something historical like Crowly, Levi, Mathers, Carroll....No where does buckland, gardner, the farrars ever make reference to any other then a balancing effect that occurs with in the life of the person, and being aware of these effects...

The desire you have is manifest in a spell for this instance, you walking in the road....what you fail to realize is that you forget about the natural flow of nature and what it is to be A road, and get hit by a car....the cosmic reminder to watch where your going.

Now lets try this again, your not an idiot, you know what you have planned, and a good idea as to how its going to turn out, you look before you cross the road, you then cross safetly No getting hit by a car.

I've discovered that working black majick (at least for me) never gets me what I want. More trouble than it's worth.

I believe you should always practice what's pure and never use magic for a bad purpose... The universe will hit it back at you sooner or later.

obviosly most everyone has the opinion about the three fold rule..i do know that, that does play some kind of factor but not as much as ones own personal morals and beliefs for example in the bible there are certain scriptures that says one cannot sin first whithout knowing what sin is. and by that i mean anyone who practices magick and doesnt know what is good from bad cannot be punished if they in fact believe they are doing something for the better.it is merely ones own mental being on their outlook concerning the workings of magick.

Well the 3 fold law as it has always been taught to me... comes into affect when you perform a spell with intent to harm or help somebody. It has nothing to do with changing traffic lights, or anything material. It has to do with casting spells and using magick on someone other than yourself. And the wiccan rede states it quite clearly. Also the 3 fold law follows the laws of Karma. Same principle.

Oh and if I choose to believe in a 3 fold law or in Karma, to stop myself from causing harm, or to make someone do something I want them to do, then that is my choice and no one has the right to attack me, or call me an idiot for that choice! Obviously individualism, compassion and free thinking are against the rules around here.

It is the person's intent behind the spell that is black or white. It is like calling fire or electricity evil / good.

I also believe in the rule of three and myself would not work a spell which causes harm to another.

You are working with what could end up affecting someone (you or a stranger) in a negative way no matter what your intentions are. At the sametime, someone could affect you in a positive or negative way no matter what their intentions are.

Magic is based on the intent of the user. If the intent is to harm, or to control or manipulate another, then the user should expect to be harmed, controlled, or manipulated. The opposite is also true.

Using magic is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly, whether its use is for good or evil. If the user is unwilling to accept that responsibility and the consequences that come with it, then they shouldn't be using magic.

Just my opinion according to my beliefs.

Magik in all cases, is neither black nor white, it is the intentions of the user that fits the bill. Any magik comes back to you sevenfold no matter how you use it.

I don't know that I really buy into the three fold law of return stuff, in truth it could be much more damaging than that.

The very fact that you would be willing to use 'black' magick to begin with indicates a soul that is torn and troubled. "He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind."

On the other hand the use of 'White' magick will return to use to strengthen you and enrich you moment by moment.

i would say , if uyou believe in the three fold law then it will happen..Karma does have a way of kicking you back in the ass though

i dont know much about the subject at hand, but have heard that it depends on what type of magic one uses, it could come back 3 to 10 fold. but like ive said. dont know much at all on this lol

Any spell can be "black" or "white" depending on the intent of the caster. I believe Karma will balance the scales if not in this lifetime another. So be careful what you desire.

When dark magic is used for the right reasons then there should not be any bite back. If you know what I mean.

I think you could be rewarded physically for it, but there's drawbacks to every reward, that would be the punishment part.

Often "bad" people seem to gain reward for there actions, magical or not. But they pay the price in the long run!!

Every action has a reaction,it can happen for anything even without using magick or anything and certain stuff just happens,infact I like the quote: sh*t happens.

I beleive that if you do anything harmful or ill-intentioned towards someone whether it be physically, verbally, or even magickally you will get that nice smack in the face from karma...Im not Wiccan but I feel the three-fold law holds alot of truth..because I myself am a firm beleiver in karmic retribution.

Punished by whom?? My mom would sure freak if she caught me, especially if it turned out to be something that she had to clean up. But it's not like I think there is some wrathful god out there who will zap me with lightning for being bad.

It is not the magic that is black or white..... (that sounds like some of magic racism... lol) I believe the person is what is "black or white" (and no that is not a racist term. I am not speaking of the hue of ones skin.) I think that at the end of the day, karma makes us pay for what we do or dont do.

i think that any kind of magick you do will come back on you weither it was bad or good it eventionly all comes back. But in some situations of working with magick if you word it the right way you might be lucky enough not to have anything come back on you. Some things i have done have come back on me other times it hasnt.

I don't think in the long run using "black" magick or any magick for the wrong reasons would be any worse than just being a bad person. Everyone is capable of being bad. Magick would just be the tool that some people might use to do bad things. I don't know if there is an after life and what awaits but I figure if we will be punished for being bad then magick will be included.

There are many who would say that every witch should respect and/or acknowledge the existence of the three fold lore.

However, I do not believe in this. According to the three fold lore a witch will get back what he/she sends out times three. Now the thing I don't understand about this, is if I were to cast a strong healing spell on someone....what would i get out of it? Knowledge that I have helped someone (the three fold lore would not come in to play there), the satisfaction of being nice to someone (again the three fold lore wouldn't apply), how about the person thanking you? Hmmmm I don't see how this could work.

Some interprest the three fold lore to apply only to the darker arts.....I really cannot believe this either as why would a force so powerful choose only to punish those who are bad and not reward those who are good?

I truly believe that this lore was created by witches of old to instill a certain respect for magick into their pupils.

In short....No i don't believe that bad things happen to those who cast dark magicks, nor do i believe that the darker arts are as bad as some try to say.

I doubt it. Black magick may or may not be bad depending on the person. Not everything most consider good is good to everyone. The same with the bad.

Not by a particular governing "force" as such but definitely things could turn nasty if the user does not know what they're doing!

Undoubtedly. I believe that, in any wrong thing you do, it will have it's negative effects. That's why there's a line between good and evil, or right and wrong.
