Forever it has eluded me on what or who I was in my past lives, until quite recently. I used to think that I was Queen Victoria because my mum said that I used to quote her in my sleep when I was little, lol.
Anyway, a couple of weeks back I meditated before bed as I so often do, and decided to try and see where my soul had been before. On this attempt, I was certain that what I saw was real.

I looked way back into the past and saw myself as a young woman in a tartan dress running away from execution.
Most importantly however, I looked to my previous life, the penultimate one to my current life, and at first what I saw puzzled me. Then I realised, and I awoke from my meditation with a jolt. I was a snake, I'm absolutely certain of it. It makes alot of sense too, I've always had a fondness for them, I love things with fangs and things that are poisonous, hah. I've decided to get a snake tattoo because I feel oddly sure about this. Call me stupid if you want, I don't care :)

Has anyone else found evidence of what or who they were in a past life, and if so, how did you come to acquire this knowledge?

I'm not sure if a thread like this has been made before but I've been away for so long from this site that I cannot know. Either way I'd like to hear what you all have to say!

I would like to find out have always had an interest in what my past life was but have no idea where to start.

Meditate? lol. I think there's several different ways to glimpse your past lives, most people go to see clairvoyants, but personally I don't trust them not to just be making something up when you can't prove otherwise :p

I can't say that I've ever found any evidence that would lead me to the assumption of a past life. I think it would be interesting to see what kind of a past life you've lived before.

i had a regression some time ago, and i still remember that i was a man in China during a huge battle.... and then, i was a woman in Greece... and i also saw some of my current family members with me...

i have met my deity, and, have found out a great deal about my past.

i belive it all cause, what i use to like back then, i like now.

i know i was killed by some one here on the rave,a nd i wount mention there name...

my deity has helped me a great deal.

I've never had a regression or anything like that, but i do have the odd memory of a village in France (i mentioned this on a previous thread) and when i was a very young child i was obsessed with Swizerland and was drawing very historically accurate pic's of houses, historical coustumes and i was speaking the odd word of Swiss.

I have accomplished seeing some of my past lives. Someone on the rave who has been more like a mentor then he even knows, had me meditate and led me through looking back. It was interesting and strange. I did find out where some of my childhood dreams and my fears that even tick with me now came from from.

One of the most vivid lives that I had dreamed about when I was little and saw during meditation is where my fear of water originated. I was about seven or eight years old and my father had taken me out on the water. It wasn't that far from the shore and I could see two other people standing there just watching. He was calm until he stopped rowing and then started yelling telling me things were all my fault and I had to face it. He ended up drowning me. i have met the man who was my father in that life, in this one except he is a she now.

I have always believed in past lives since I was a child. I still believe in them. I plan on exploring more of my own when I can concentrate enough again.

i have had a few past lives to and can only have memories of one of them which is a witch that was a ancester of mine and she lived in salem mass and was burned at the stake a very long time ago. i often have flashes back to when it happened and before it happen her name was tanya. I wish i could remember my other ones but i cant just hers.

I think this is really interesting stuff and would love to learn about my past lives. Ive tried meditaion without success.. maybe it would be worth another shot

I dont know much about my past lifes, and I am not interested at all. Whats the use?

I do beleive I was in a car crash cause that is my biggest fear.....

I do not know anything about any of my past lives, but if you think about it a lot of people say that in a past life they were always someone important like a king,
queen or some type of leader, but their are not really that many people who say that they were a carpenter or peasent or something like that, i always wondered why that was, i mean lesser people reincarnate too...

I dont think it matters who or what you were I beleive we are all reincarnated...
but not alwasy as human ..we could be animals also.....

A past life could include an animal, which could in later lives become a framiliar.

i know most of my lives (all if can only count human but I will tell you one. I dont know any names or dates so I'm sorry you will only have to take my word for this short clip of one of my past lives.

It was in india I was a maid to a rich man. He and I loved eachother and planned to run away but I found out he was getting married to a woman of simular fortune as planned by his father, I was pregnant as his father was well aware, so at his fathers request I was sent away with child to live where I was sent letters from him and money I died in childbirth I never did see him again but I know he loved me.

this is what I found out through many dreams that I had every night for a month.
I cant speak the langauge but I understod everything being said. I know who this man is in this life but his not ready to know our real history.

i have had a few lives that i remember from meditation.

they are nothing special things like a greek priestess and a bar maid but the ones that i do remember all have some sort of a bad ending for that life. usually a fire of some kind, i always wake with the smell of smoke

I remember one where i was the daughter of a scotish laird. I was his youngest the only other thing i remember was being prosocuted for being an evil witch.

As for the animal thing, I mentioned in the first post that I believe I was a snake :) It's true that alot of people think they must have been something great like a king or queen but that is unlikely, and I do not believe that I was ever anything like that.

Fascinating topic, I remember 2 of mine. I was hung for practicing witchcraft and I was a prostitute. Ive heard of people using certain crystals for past life regression.

I know that I was once a lil girl on the Titanic and I was helping a little boy out of his bed.

I'm not positive but I believe I once drowned on a capsized boat or ship...
I remember how gray it was that day, the waters so choppy...When it happened I was below deck. Thrown around, but not too severely injured. The water began to rise, but I couldn't find my way out. I drowned. But that's all I remember, I don't remember who I was or where we were exactly other than far off shore.

I dont belive in past ives, assuming that they are real, we would never remember the one before the current. I dont think that any god, christian or otherwise would continuasly put the same soul in different bodys. Life without hope of some sort of valhalah is just pointless.

This is a complicated question for me, for dispite having vivid dreams both while awake and asleep of places and images that I have never personally seen, I do not know if I believe I have had a previous life. If for no other reason than some of these vivid memory-like images seeming too ... fantastical, for me to believe.

Such obsurd highlights include:

- a lush dark, densly forested valley with a river snaking up between a double peeked mountain, while the valley itself was surrounded by desert. An army, or kingdom to the south, in or past the desert.

-A war of epic proportions, a large city in flames and drenched in red, the memory of being imprisoned naked save for a patch of cloth covering genitals, chained, beaten, carted off and feeling the fear, hate etc emotions of those around the cage. Being one of the objects of their hatred. Unable to stop the destruction.

-Lead to a stone altar within a chamber in a step pyramid, sense of duty, sense of "honour," adorned ritualistically, naked but painted with symbols, While laying on the altar with tablet like stones around it symbols similar to those on my body... words unrecognizable... felt forbidden to look at the symbols, some sort of snake creature or man in a garb resembling an ugly snake looming over me. Two others like it standing off to the side like guardsmen. Massive snake like idol behind the altar and the person/thing. Slaves to the sides of the walkway to the altar, all bare, unadorned. Unrestrained, my heart cut out as words unrecognizable are said over me. Heart fed still beating to a more recognizable person as a man, cloaked in black, symbols similar to the altar upon his cloak.

-Same chamber. Slaves bound in chains, more snake thing like guards. Slaves being brought forcefully bound and tied to the altar. I am cloaked in the same garb as the man from before. I eat of the slave's hearts and drink of their blood. Feeling of tribute paid.

-Images of being beheaded, burned, hanged, stabbed, gutted, bludgeoned, drowned, stoned to death, childbirth, suffocated/strangled and crushed.

-Images of being woken up in the middle of the night in an old farm house, a father yelling at my sisters to grab me and run. Mob at the door. Running through the field of tall plants... possibly wheat...Image flickering between childhood play, young woman, older woman, young boy, young man, older gentleman both in joy and in fear run through a field. All of them me. Field turns to forest/woods... trapped at the river. Old massive oak tree. Captured, strung up. Step outside myself, see my body become all those I saw racing through the field/woods.

-Watching a man and then in another instance a woman, dying under "lawful" punishments to protect me



These are just some tidbits of what I've dreampt/seen. Perhaps I am too skeptical but I believe they are not evidence enough of existance of a past life for myself. I am however sometimes able to patch into others emotions/dreams etc and am ironically, perhaps, more likely to believe it is simply my mind attempting to decipher what I am "picking up" than a past existance for myself.

Personally, if I did have a past life, I would wish to remain ignorant of it and focus solely upon the one before me.

Any attempts at meditating upon these or focusing etc, have only ended with more gruesome and fantastical images, or the meditation ends due to my intense and overwhelming fear.

I hope this answers the question to the best of my ability in regards to myself and my beliefs regarding myself.

I think perhaps that looking into what your past lives were, should you believe in them, can help you gain knowledge that might help you understand yourself better. Could explain the reasons why you are the way you are now.
That or maybe you're just curious!

I've done some exploring of my past lives. I tend to be a little cynical of those who believe they were once famous people, because they can easily be researched.

From what I've experienced, dreamed and felt, I've been female in my previous lives more times than I have male, which is possibly why I'm still quite effeminate in my current incarnation. One of the furthest back dates to the Egyptian times, when I was the daughter of a potter. I think he was a slave, not having much money. I remember particularly feeding the cats at a temple, and how this one particular tom cat was a bit of a scrapper, and I was the only one he would not scratch.

What I do remember is quite hazy, I only seem to get glimpses of past lives when I am in the right mindset to recieve them (dreams, just waking, etc). I'd like to have a proper regression to find out more but I don't know anyone near here that would be able to.

I feel quite fresh and naive about the world - I love it and have great enthusiasm. That to me sounds like someone who has not had much experience of existence so I think I am on my first visit to this plane. I would like to think I will be back again after this body's time is up.

I'm not sure. I have strange fears that are linked to dreams, which has led me to the assumption that I was drowned in a past life. I think that if I was an animal in a past life, I would have been a cat. I have strange cat-lie qualities.

i so far have been unable to unlock my past lives even thought i travel in my dreams wierd huh

Sometimes in dreams the past comes to us, but it becomes more interesting when you experience Deja vu someplace that you have not been in this life. For me knowing the streets of Seville Spain never being there prior...

I was told that I hung myself in at least one of my previous lives, but I've never done any rituals to actually attempt to go back and see any of them.

I have had many dreams and seen past lives and explored past lives during meditations.

I did start to think it was my over active imagination until I literally bumped into a psychic (a total stranger)that asked me to have a coffee with her and she started describing my dreams and experiences to me. Naturally I was shocked because I had never even seen this woman before in my life and she then went on to tell me to just start to trust and believe as I was holding myself back from many discoveries and self-developments.

And I never saw her again! It was a freaky experience but a valuable one for me.

Only thing i know of past lives is how i died.. and most often it was fires..but when i sleep i wake talking in russian german something like that..hell it might be old school vampire i will never know im sure

I believe in past lives, but I have never had dreams or any thing that have been of my past life. I would love to know about my past lives, who I was and things like that.

I'm not sure about any past lives. But I do know that certain things feel verynatural to me and I don't have an explaination for it.

The first thing is that I am completely at home in the forest. (This is weird considering grew up in a city). I also seem to have a natural talent when it comes to things like swords and daggers. Whenever I pick one up it feels like it belongs there and I can tell whether the balance is good or off. I am also pretty good witha bow and arow. The first time I ever picked up a long bow and started shooting at a target I was hitting very lse to the bullseye and my gym teacher didn't believe that I had never touch it before.

I also feel I have a warriors spirit and constantly feel as if I was born in the wrong century. I long to be out in a forest traveling.

Maybe these are keys to a past life or maybe not.

I personally would really like to know mine also. I was told by another that I was a priest/monk/scholar through a number of lives...but I have also been told by spirits themselves, through who was my gf at the time last year...that I am also a split soul.

I honestly dont know but..i feel that i have had visions or deja vu of my past life. I know where i was from in a past life...but im not sure about my former self and such. I think its very interesting and i would love to know

I had a full regression at the age of 18 because I was having nightmares about being murdered.
I have discovered that I have had several lives that ended before the age of 25 and for a long time I felt that I would never live to see that age this time.

In one particular life I was a 16 year old girl in about 1380 near Ireland (I think). And Iwas on a fishing boat with my father and 5 brothers. I was not supposed to be out that day but for some reason I was.
When we docked near our home I started to run toward our home and slipped on a rock and hit my head. I went into a coma and died 3 days later. I remember that while I was in the coma I dreamed of a man. A man I felt as if I knew. He seemed to be telling me that because we didn't find each other in this life he would find me in the next.

If you would like to know more about my others please let me know... I believe with my whole being that these things have happened to me and can recall them with ease now.

I had a regression once, I had been reading about past lives so I decided to follow the meditation steps for a regression.

I was a young woman, i was in the middle of an open field and I had this distinct feeling that I was somewhere either in England or Ireland. I was barefoot and running toward some kind of cliff. I saw some man in the distance standing atop a hillside with a staff in his hand. There were a bunch of men running in the same direction but then something made me turn around and run in the other direction. Where I ended up running into a heavy-set bearded man in rich robes. He grabbed me by the arm and took me into a dungeon where I was to be executed. The executioner came in my cell and set his axe down and raped me instead. And then my regression ended.

All my life I have had a fear of being raped and I never knew why until I saw all of this.

in my past life....i've went through hell alot so i'm tryin to change my life and make it better way i hope so. i used to be in gang then i almost end up beat and nearly killed me.

Never done any specific searching into my past lives, but going by the assumption that you have affinities in your current life based on your past ones, i'm guessing I lived in medievasl and victorian times, and probably 50's america too. They're the time periods I feel most at ease with.

I might try that meditation thing to see what I can come up with :-)

I have no idea. I don't even think I HAVE a past life. I think I might be the beginning of this life and I'll be past on to someone else. God help whoever I'm passed onto.

i also recall a dream I had many years ago, about being a young girl dressed in the fashions of 400-500 years ago, sitting under a small bridge on a sunny day writing a poem.

I don't know anything about mine. I've never tried to find out. It kind of interests me, but I've never talked to anyone about it or anything. Sometimes I wonder though.

I did the same as you, I meditated before bed one night and I had the strangest sensations. And what I saw puzzled me greatly. And call me crazy but I was actually the daughter of Isis, the Egyptian queen Cleopatra. I know what you are all thinking. I must be nuts, but that is exactly what I saw. I swear to it on all that I believe in and hold dear to me.

I know I have had past lives and if I meditate also I can bring up memories of them.

all i remember so far is i was related to aristocrats,was killed by a person who was ordered to do it by my now brother,knew my husband in my past lives and my brother than(the leader of my coven than)Draman is now dead and has been for some time...i keep finding more bit by bit...am hoping a mid walk will tell me more

The varied responses here were a nice read. :) And I like that there wasn't alot of "I was a famous person" or "I was royalty".

I hae hints at some of mine and three that are very prominent through dreams, memories and connections.

I was once a merchant's daughter in Egypt, in love with a warrior. I lived a normal life, for that time but I was killed, to raise the vengeance of my love, which i did. My name was even revealed to me as Kanika.

I also lived in Ireland, a mystic healer of sorts. I was to marry a man, a knight of sorts you could say but he came to me wounded, heavily and could not be saved. So I ended up marrying someone from a nearby village. I know both these men now in my current life and we all have vivid memories of our pasts, can finish each others thoughts about them, describe scenes to one another that match what is in the others head.

The only other one I can remember clearly enough, was the only one where I had something in the way of money and lifestyle. I lived on a Southern plantation. By my own misjudgement, I fell in love with the overseer, who was a yankee. Got pregnant, died in childbirth as I was a frail girl.

I'd like to learn more of others, that are faint dreams but those will come in time I'm sure.

Whatever I was to learn in my past lives, I have not corredted it all yet. i am a work in process.

i really do not know what i was in a past life but i believe that it had something to do with animals, like an animal trainer or a vet or something like that

Let me talk that back. I do know I was in the Veitnam war, as a solider. He was killed early in the war, and as girl who lived with her Aunt in the 1940's.
And maybe something to do with babies and animals.

I know that I lived a past life in 14th century france. I remember being on a bridge waiting for someone in a purple velvet dresss of that period and it was of some type of royalty but not as a queen or princess more of a duchess maybe. I have always had a facination for France in this life and even favor the rapier as my sword of choice.

I have memories from past life's. Some of them I don't care for. lol

in my past life I must have lived in australia because going there is my biggest goal in life
