This is something that I personally hold a great level of belief in.
The human mind is a wonderful thing. Manifestation is the ability of the mind to create or manifest what it desires... or conversely, what it fears.
For example, say you buy a new car. It's lovely and shiny, but your one fear is that you will crash it. You worry about doing that every time you drive your new car. And then you do. Is this a premonition? Or is it the manifestation of your fear? Did you dwell on it so much, that your mind created the situation which you spent so much energy on?
Or you decide that what you really want is to meet your soul mate. You dream about this person, you have their face engraved on your mind. You perform a spell one night to draw them to you. The next day, you see that imagined face walking down the street. Was it the spell that did it? Or was it your mind, manifesting what you wanted?
What do you think?
Is'nt that just another way of saying possitve thinking etc ?.
In some ways it is very similar. It is the power of the mind constantly dwelling on something that you want (or don't want) that draws it to you. So while positive thinking will keep you upbeat and in a positive frame of mind, manifestation is giving the universe the instruction whether conscious or otherwise, that there is something you want, and it will give it to you.
taughs are actions in progress, if you focus your mind on something you dont want, then the focus will e hance yor mind and will make what you dont want...happen. You have to focus on what you want.
For exemple the car in this case, you have to focus on how pretty it is, gow beautiful it is and on how you enjoy seing it beautiful. Instead of how yu fear it will be damage, otherwise your focus wull create what you fear.
Again similar. Except you're not necessarily conscious of your want. Definitely though grounded in the Law of Attraction.
I have had this happen to me. I try not to dwell on the bad though..and focus on the good for that very reason.
law of attraction indeed, sort fo like "the secret" which is very logical or of the "law of attraction" it self, very strong and imposible to avoid, as taughs becomes things/events
I think that if a person wants something bad enough, that something will happen. I strongly believe in this because I have experienced this for myself many times. So I will go with manifestation. =)
I understand with studies under Hypnosis.. The Mind can Conjure up ANYTHING..Even so far as to Feel pain from the belief of the thought of Experiencing pain.
I will have to say manifestation is what it is. If you focus on something for long enough it will happen.
I focused on the stress that was going on in my life and was stressing over being infertile and then I found out I had cancer. I have to say if I didn't focus on that negative aspect then things would have been better for me.
To be honest in my opinion it is the power of thought. I think that most healings, manifestations etc that most consider a miracle or caused by a form of magic is your mind overcoming the ordinary and creating a desired effect.
Evidence for such can be found in certian quantum field effects, the idea that human consciouseness is based in the actual fabric of space-time and operates at the quantum level, weaved between diminsions. And that when a desire becomes so strong it can literaly change reality.
I believe in the power of thoughts both good and bad. There has been enough proof in my personal life to sustain these beliefs. That does not mean however, that I dwell on this as it would lead to even more confusion in how I think.
you mention doing the spell.. well is that not all a spell really is.. directing our will and desires and sending them out?
and yes its a double edge sword.. what can work for positive things in your life can work in the the other way as well. The more thought and either desire and or fear you put into those thoughts the stronger they become. People often will agree positive thinking and all. But rarely will they accept that there is a flip side to that coin.
For a second, I thought that I had experienced it, but then the puchline hit...think about what, then have it actually happen!
Can't say that I have experienced it, but my wife and I play a mental game of winning the lottery (which I play weekly) and determining what we are going to do with the money, what we are going to do with ourselves, etc.
Now we just need enough positive thought to actually make it happen!
I believe you are talking about the Laws of Attraction. If you are interested in learning about this concept, I suggest you go rent the documentary called "The Secret".
I find the concept a little hard to believe myself as I've tried using the Laws of Attraction in the past and it's never worked.
Well I actually did have that happen to me just last week :) I do have a new car, and I was so worried that something would happen, it did. Five minutes after I pulled in to the lot at home. So yes I will say that I believe.
i think its true another example is health..
people worry about their health then worry more till they actually do have problems they worry about..such as heart attack.. worry enough you going to drive yourself into one...
I believe it is possible. If you will it enough and use energy in the correct manor to accomplish it, it will manifest itself.
I'd say yes, mind (in most cases) certainly has dominion over matter. I've seen it in practice too many times to think otherwise.
Positive thinking or negative thinking does have a huge impact in our lives.. When my Aunt was diagnosed with Cancer they told her not to think negative and cry alot, because that would take an effect on the cancer cells ... So she never spoke of it and was always positive and sure enough she got better... But who knows what really happened..
Case in point, a student is anxious about a final exam in a subject they are not very strong in. The anxiety (mind) begins to manifest in physical symptoms such as stress, fatigue and even insomnia. Because of the lack of rest and rattled state they bomb the test. Mind created reality. Happens everyday. They may have passed the test if it weren't for their mind constantly focusing on the perceived to be incoming failure.
Exactly.
Let me give an example. For a very long time, I was exceedinly shy, didn't want to look at people, went out of my way to avoid them, was bad in social situations, hated to drive, etc etc. I dwelt on it all so much, I eventually developed an obscure neurological condition, one of the side effects of which was a loss of peripheral vision. Now I can no longer drive, if I go anywhere I have to watch where I'm putting my feet as opposed to looking at people, etc etc. Now I have a justification for doing all this.
Now you may think this is a bit of a stretch. However the condition that I have got has no known cause. It's one of those weird spontaneous things. It's also supposed to be incurable. In my belief, I will have it until I overcome the fear that brought it to me in the first place.
I beleive it. its happened to me enough. Obsessing strongly enough will always bring physical results.
I think that you can bring something about by dwelling upon it a lot. I also think we can "manifest" bad luck upon ourselves the same way. I would have to agree with some of the others who suggest positive thinking. When one thinks negatively, negative things tend to happen.
Psych 101: Self-fulfilling Prophecy
The self-fulfilling prophecy is a statement that alters actions and therefore comes true.
For example, a person stating “I’m probably going to have a lousy day,” might alter his actions so that such a prediction is fulfilled by his actions. This may be an unconscious gesture.
This is different from "positive thinking" because our thinking occurs on many different levels, so you might repeat "things will be okay" over and over like a mantra, and still have them turn out bad.
The self-fulfilling prophecy actually predates its name. Early examples of the self-fulfilling prophecy are the Greek myths surrounding Oedipus. Oedipus fulfills the oracle’s prophecy that he will kill his father and marry his mother, by striving to avoid the prophecy. This can be called a self-fulfilling prophecy because it is Oedipus’ actions that make the prophecy true.
www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-self-fulfilling-prophecy.htm
That's what I've always believed in. Sometimes I think, yeah, we do need some divine intervention sometimes...Spells, prayer, whatever...And sometimes the things that happen are due to divine intervention...
But I think more times than not its our own doing. Self fulfilled prophecies.
It seems like this is true, but not because it is. I think it is real because it emplains a lot of things away like happenstance or coincidence. We can train our minds to look for opportunity and that is fact, but tapping into the universal mind type stuff is simply a religion IMO.
yep, i remember when i lived in las vegas i couldnt get boyfriends for shit! so i did the whole kiss the wall when the time digits matched (ex:2:22, 11:11) and when i moved to buffalo i finaly found the guy i've always wanted, they way he looks and all, and i'm still with him today!
The old saying that we create our own self fulling prophesies pops into my mind. If we tell ourselves that we will fail, then we do. But did we make it happen or was it a premonition? It's hard to tell. For me, I consider it a premonition if I dream it and then forget that I have dreamt it. When the premonition happens, it's like deja vu and I remember then that I had seen it coming. For me that is the only way of eliminating the idea that I made it happen.
If you ride a motorcycle for any length of time you learn to watch where you want it to go, not where you don't want it to go. If you are in a tight curve and you are running out of road you don't look to the trees that you want to avoid, you look toward the track you want to follow. It is the same concept. You let your mind dwell on what you want and you are more likely to move in that direction, but it works in reverse as well.
That would all fall under the Laws of Attraction. Your true inner belief in wanting and desire and seeing that thing happening. The belief that if you truely want something and believe that it can be yours. Perfect example, just went thru a horrible custody battle, that has been going on for 18 months, over the last 2 months I just kept saying to myself this is going to be over and he will be coming home, I saw him home, I sqw myself doing everyday things things with him and focused on that positive energy. When prior I was so focused on all of the negative and when I finally focused on the positive it al ended as I wanted it to, when all odds were against me. Even 15 prior to court I was told he wasn't coming home.
Prompted by Augustus: I don't think it explains away the "shit happens" aspect of life. Shit is real, so I should be able to say that here.
Everyone always looks for absolutes, for the ONE answer. There is no one answer. There are many explanations, interconnections, and lots of semicolons used in the process.
I think maybe some may be able to "manifest" in such ways, but only if they are very strong willed.
This is actaully a process I use in every aspect of my life. I prefer the term "summoning", as it appeals to me more.
Most do use it, just don't know it. As one would wish to know where the keys to their car is at, they mentally summon the keys to be found. Some would think this to be coincidence, I say coincidence is just an excuse to name the unexplained answers.
When you are aware of your summoning abilities, you will notice quite alot around you that has either little or significant change in your life, and or those surrounding you.
I believe that we do have the power to due this sometime because we have power we are unawear of or unable to control it reacts to our emtions fears and joys.
The power of the mind is indeed remarkable, three times my friends dad went into hospital with back injuries, each time told he would never walk again, and each time he walked out of the hospital.
Our minds hold much power. Manifestation or premonition, either way it is the mind.
Soulshroude, when I misplace my keys, I use the power of deduction, retracing my steps the last time I used them.
Then I ask the dog where they are since she is always so very eager to help.
1.For magic influence is essential first the INTENTION or the SIGN and then FOCUS.
Without that there is not a magical act but just a premonition. The manifestation the way you put is seems more a term describing a magical act, not just a premonition.
In either cases (mag or prem) usually a SIGN is visible or the person.Something that make the experience special!
Some chinese guy was predicted that he would die in a short time because of an accident.
He believed every word and refused to get out on the street being afraid not to be killed.
He was afraid even to get out in the courtyard because a weak fence could impale him.
He refused to eat shortly after that because he was afraid of choking.
And he died by starvation.
;))
The prophecy was accomplished.
If you focus on a goal or a destination, more often then not you will reach it. It's like tunnel vision almost.
The fact that you are worrying about crashing the car every time you drive it creates a focus point. You cant "see" anything else around you and so you keep going along the path until it leads you to the inevitable.
I believe that everyone of us sees what they expect to see...
To use as an example, many people read the zodiacs every morning... If they read that they something bad will happen to them this day, they will be so consumed of negative energy that they will make themselves prone to negative insidents.
We create our fate.
I believe that it's not premintion etc... It's just that something we expected happened only because we expected it to happen...
Perhaps the deja vu thing works a bit like this, as well...
I think we use manifestation on many different levels, greater and lesser every day. With varying results. Like, if you're running late you keep saying to the traffic lights, "don't change don't change" and they dont! That kind of thing.
I really think that you can chalk this one up to coincidence and the subconscience.
In response to the new car example. One could simply be worried about getting to a wreck with their new car, and having it in the "back" of your mind, you dwell on it while you are in the car. No mystery there.
With respect to finding the "soul match". You subsconscience holds your preconcieved notion of what you are looking for in a partner. Think of what you are attracted to and how much simularity does it have to your "Soul Match". After that, it just falls to coincidence that you happen to meet a person who has the same qualities that your subconscience is looking for.
hey i always say you have to have a positive mind and attitude and not to worry but sence i have gotten older it feels like stress trys to take over .. im taking meds for stress and aniexty. is that the same you guys are talking about..?
LaurentiusManx, that's an awful lot of coincidences... surely there's a point where you say to yourself, ok, it's happening too much or too often for it to be just a "coincidence"?
LOL the mind is a scary thing. The point that I was trying to make simply was that our subconscience is always being accessed whether we realize it or not.
Manifestation may indeed play in some cases, but just as you called me on broadbrushing it with the subconscience, I feel the same way about how the term Manifestion is used.
For example if you are focusing your thoughts on Purple Dinosaurs, doesn't mean that you are going to see one walking on the streets.
You might if you are walking past a Barney convention =P
But yes I understand what you are saying. Manifestation doesn't always happen, the same as the supernatural isn't the explanation for everything.
I couldn't have said it better myself.
It just seems to me that many people want to broadbrush everything to fit into one catagory or another.
Exactly. Too often I think, and more often than that in here, we try to use something odd or out of the ordinary to try and explain away the commonplace.
Which is not to say I don't believe in those things, just that I think their happenings are much rarer than what you'd be led to believe by reading what is posted in here!
I'm not sure. If you have something dwelling on your mind constantly, it's going to affect your actions & personality & your probably going to be more prone to doing the action. Maybe in trying to prevent in from happening, it makes it happen more.
I'm talking from personal experience here, lol
I believe that not only can dwelling on the negative influences or situations in your life contribute to being stuck in those situations .. but also that the positive attitude and way of thinking can bring you out of it and manifest positive things in your life.
i think if you fear that you are going to crash and you might be right and crash for you made it that way in your mind already. so keep that tought out of your mind and i'm sure it would happen.
you make a good point, I believe if you want something bad enough and think about it all the time eventually it will happen.
Its got to have something to do with the engergy that surrounds everyone, Possitive thinking as its been said. I get what your saying and it is really weird. Anyway my answer is yes, i beleive the human mind can and does, bend the rules to achive its own goals.
so if say I think about something for a long time...for example... i had been seeing this person on and off for a year and a half... now that he is divorcing he wants to see other people other than me... sooo.. if deep down inside i know he will be mine in the end and keep believing so..this will manifest??
some seek only to believe, even without evidence of such things actually occuring, they accept testimony of others as a foundation for that belief,
In the case of claims of physically manifesting items from (some claim the meta verse, other claim from this universe, through the meta-verse)
I am not convinced that that is possible, I have never seen it happen, I would watch anyone that does claim to be able to do it, as a magician, or performer. If he insisted his claim be accredited, I would encourage him to submit to scientific controlled study.
as far as object materialization goes, no I won't be lead to believe it is possible. positive thinking, when a mind is geared to an object that is of immediate value, and one is focused upon that object and the quest to secure that item, it is natural for a person to extend their focus to stagnant resources, resources that would be overlooked in a less urgent routine. like a guy that manifest the money for a bus fare.. from the couch of the neighboors house.. that to me.. could be manifestation, or materialization, at a resource level.
its just saying with your mind, everthing can be positive.
So a positive thinker, are they likely to say "I am bored." and actually be bored?
If a positive thinker lets slip a I will crash with bald tires. Is it likely to have a positive effect upon them crashing.. by that same logic.. superstitions appear to be valid.. would it not be complete to include positive manifestations of unpleasant expectations as well?
Like someone is going to get hurt if we keep working this fast.. of I am not going to sleep to night if I don't get off this couch and be active.
If you dwell on something for a very long time it is mostlikely to maniifest and become realitly , A spell not nescerassry works on that ,
So then when something does manifest.. one exalts the meta-physical manipulation they believe in, and their physical skill in using predictable resources is dismissed ? I mean digging into a chair in a motel to find a treasure.. that is an instinct I learned from study.. but it has "materialized" plenty of treasure.
I believe that if you want something bad enough, you will find a way to get that thing or person...but not so much in this way. This sounds to me more like Murphy's Law manifesting.
Ok I am tele-manifestation that cold one to you one more time Mr. Stick.. I am starting to get suspicious of your claim that they are not coming through..
Hey...whoa...a Killian's just manifested right here next to my laptop. Ok...I'm a believer. You showed me!
I believe it is the power of positive thinking, in the case of the soul mate. You think of someone for so long and dream of this person you start to see them....
In the case of wrecking the new dream car you have I believe it is a worse case fear scenario.
You just have to think positive and not manifest on things because if you do it can play tricks on your mind but not to the point that it would happen or could happen or will happen but only other things can make it happen. Like for an example about buying a car like you said in your post it doesn't mean it Could/Would/Will happen because its others you have to worry about behind the wheel for all you know they could be drunk or on drugs to cause it not that you had foreseen it but you would never really know unless you did something stupid to cause the accident yourself.
So one would just sit back all day and focus on eating at the end of the day.. perhaps a friend comes over.. and you mention that you are thinking up dinner.. are they likely to wait with you? I would order a pizza, now does that mean you manifested the pizza?
i also believe it is a way of saying positive thinking...
Similar to what was said in the Matrix. "Don't worry about the vase" and then Neo asks what vase and then looks around and knocks it over as he moves. I think perhaps it's more of a manifestation of your fear.
"Would you have knocked it over if I didn't say anything"
In this case, no because his movement caused it to knock over.
Mindcleaner hit the nail right on the head and also took my example.. Ty Mind lol..
I'd have to say that fear of crashing the car would be the cause of it. Nothing manifestive about it -- simply bad luck and messing up.
material manifestation.. show me.. positive thinking .. ties into intirpative design.. always after the fact is when the details are adapted.
I am thinking that all in all, it was already mapped out and whatever happens was supposed to from the beginning.
This is very simple to me.You think it in the right frequency,it will manifest.
Oceanne -
Could you please explain what you mean by 'frequency'?
I think that if you dwell on something long enough or worry about something happening, your subconscious mind will find a way to make that something happen. So if you were really worried about crashing your new car, like that's all you thought about when you drove, you would actually crash the car.
I wont go all into it,but in short ,everything vibrates at certain frequencies.I also feel that when one can cause things to manifest thru thought, somehow they are putting that thought into a frequency that allows it to cause manifest. This is partly what I feel witches do when they use their symbols, herbs, metals or whatnot. They are attempting to create the needed frequency to lay their intent into,so it can be carried out and manifested.
Yet there are others, who do not need to do that. They, somehow can create these freqs within themselves and use them accordingly.
I believe that for the most part it is positive and negative thinking...we make our world what it is...we control our own destiny to an extent.
If you want something badly enough and keep thinking about it and working towards it then you will receive it...same as with negative thoughts..when we worry about things it causes stress which in turn will make things seems sometimes worse than what it is.
You're saying it's possible for the mind to have different frequencies?
As far as I'm aware only the ears are able to even pick up stuff [sometimes mind you] on different frequencies.
No disrespect DD,but I dont agree really with the whole believe thing.Yes,we do create our world, but we dont have to believe in it to do it.Becauseof the nature of it,which is actually mundane as hell,it has not to do with what we believe..the energy is there, whether we believe it or not,the energy can be manipulated, whether we believe it or not,and sometimes,we are able to do so,whether we beleive it or not.
"You're saying it's possible for the mind to have different frequencies?"
Yes.
Oceanne...isn't by using our minds to either believe or disbelieve a form of energy manipulation in itself?
And no offense taken hon...each person is entitled to their beliefs and should be respected for them. So no harm done.
KK kool.:) Well,I do see your point, and I would truthfully have to say yes,in a way on that. But when it comes to what Im talking about, from what I have seen so far,and what has been prooven to me,belief doesnt have anyhting to do with whether a manifestation will happen or not.I think, that when one actually accesses those frequencies, its just a matter of doing so,and not a matter of if you believe your going to do so.
Oceanne...I believe that an individual would not necessarily have to have a conscious belief in something for it to happen...the mind is a wonderful thing with so many secrets that have yet to be unlocked..so I think that our subconscious sometimes has alot to do with manipulation of energies and how they are directed. We may not be aware of it but deep down we have caused it.
Perhaps,in certain context. But I feel that when someone feels it is just whether they believe or not,and that dictates the whole process,I think it is what causes so many to fail. They arent looking at the mechanics of it,nor are they employing them. Not to say you have to know the mechanics, but I feel once you understand,at least basically, things go much better.
I have know many who believe and get nothing,or very sporadic results..and I know for a fact that there is one who doesnt really believe, yet is sitting at close to 100 % success rate.So that tell me they are doing something that has noting to do with belief, but more a simple control of their body and mind that causes these things to happen.
In other words,a pencil is going to write, whether you believe it will or not.
I'm still not sure about the frequency of the mind. I'd like to hear a[n] explanation on how it works?
I think as CryingMist said earlier it is like "The Secret"....using the power of the mind to get what you want....also by the theory of the secret you have to watch how you think about thing such as if you're always WANTING something then you get just that WANT....you have to think like you have it, you will get it so on...
I have begun to imagine that if materialization was possible would it be likely that mater has to be extracted from somewhere else.. and if so, would it be limited to non-organic matter.. what would be the likely outcome on something organic that was materialized.?
Materialization is the lynch pin for teleportation and Beaming People up.
Yes,I suppose youre correct, but I dont know anything about that..But what I do know is that sound and frequency effects us in a very big way..take a look...
And that is just a small expample...
I think in an offhanded way is can be Distortion.I wanted to should you what I mean by re arrranged by sound and not really needing something to be extracted from another place...you will want to turn your speakers down for this a little...
That is only one small example, but if you notice, you see patterns in there that correlate with many magical symbols..So why is that? ;)
