Well I happen to be a fan of both and i was just contemplating what other people think about the two....
both are paranormal to say the least but which do you believe is better? who would win in a battle? which actually even exists? which is more interesting, all of it, i want to know what you feel and your opinion......
*no one liners please*
How do you know both don't exist? And they could be the same thing.
are you saying you dont know if they do or not? I didnt say i knew or not i asked what people think about them.
I cant say if that both dont exsist but the possiblity is asstounding
Oooooh 2 of my favourite things! Do you think there could ever be such a thing as a Vampire angel?
Dragons and UFO's,Fairies and Orbs,Ghost and Time Travelers
Dimensional Planes or Portals to the After lifeAll things with mythos and no solid material to study what ever explains the phenomena is well hidden.
i believe angels exist but not as we know it,.. i perfer to call them guardians..we all possess them but thEN Again that is my belief
Interesting Question...Here is my Statement...
Angels Would win for the simple fact that they themselfs are immortal...Vampires are not immortal....just hard to kill...
But if they was not immortal....Hmmm
It depends the area...Open area...I would say angels becuase of there shure brute force and the ability to fly..they are warriors after all...Some anyways...Somewhere Wooded or Clusterd City.....Vampires becuase of there stelth and the ability to get a sneak attack in and whatnot...
Well to know which one would win?
You need to know there powers n so forth.
Vampires don’t like sun as this is the true meaning of god.
An angel needs gods light so you wont have much power in the dark and vice versa
The type of angel as well … some are fighters some our lovers lol
The crypt fiend would do more fighting and loving…….
Angels are easily corrupted and suffer vengeful law giver… so temptation from a female/ male vamp would be possible. And thus have them cast out of the light.
Vamp vs Angel eh.... Id say Angels will win a war against the Vamps.. Angels are immortal.... Vamps arent. Even with temptation because their weakness is love....they would still win... Remember Satan/Lucifer/whatever name ..you want to call him.... is a fallen angel.....and look how powerful that bloke turned out to be
Believe angels do exisit . Would say they have more true power and would win. HOwever vamps are more interesting. Nibble here plse.
I want a clean fight no summons no divine intervention. from the Heavenly Host and No Manipulation from the Minion of Darkness......Lets Get It On!
if they are gona duke it out like UFC fighters i think it all depends on their training.....no divine crap no skills.....just raw fighting.... hmm hard to say.. lets get em all liquored up and have em start a brawl
Well its hard to say for sure if either one of them exist. I do find vampires much more interesting as they are the dark side. In a battle I have to say that I think the angel would win .
Dragon verses Alien.
Ghost verses Fairy...My money is on the Fairy they have unpredictable magik that adaptes to the challenge.
Genie and Vampire would be a no brainer.
I cannot truly say that anything does not extist. I would have to then prove to you beyond a shadow of a doubt that something does not extist. The existence of anything rather it be a vampire, angels, God , etc is based on one's personal beliefs. I do not think a vampire would be better than an angel or that an angel would be better than the vampire. Who would win in a fight? I quess that would depend on what type of vampire and angel are you talking about? The Hollywood stereotype of vampire is a myth and does not really extist in my opinion. So, if we are speaking in the fantasy realm, my answer would differ than if we were speaking of reality.
which is better is as much a matter of belief and opinion as anything else ... i believe they are both better in their own ways.
which would win in a battle ... hard to say.
do i believe they exist ... yes on both counts and i really don't forsee them battling anytime soon by their own choice anyways.
i believe in angels, as for all the other stuff, i dont know if i can answer that. who is to say which would prevail in a fight, would depend upon what the fight it about i guess.
If it went on the strenght of the followers I'de say Angels people that believe in angles make them near god strong.People that follow vampires keep them on the destroyable side.Religious beliefs are more fixed when it comes to angels leaving little room for variation. Feuds among followers of vampires vary too much to win in a theologic show down even a Holly Wood Show down would give the angles the win.
I do believe that they both exist. But as far as who will win. That is hard to determine.
I would like to be ring side with demon verses dragon though.
well I feel that if they did fight then the angels would win just because I feel good wins over eveil no matter waht happens
Plus vampires are not immortal and angels are heavenly bodies and guardians of everyone, so I feel they could not be destroyed .
I also am fan of both vampires and angels. But if it came down to it I believe the angels would win.
I cannot say who would win an dwho would loose as they both have their weakness and streinght, then again according to some books, vmapires can be killed, and angel are immortal...so..I cant really say
Anything to keep the mind awake.
(Oooohh, a one liner post...Better slap my hand...BAD LAMA!!)
Truthfully, i am going to have to say they both exist. Only because Angels live above us and protect us. And Vampires live around us in the Dark places of the world, sucking the life out of people...if you want more info message me
“if you want more info message me” ????
Cant you debate on here with us… sound dubious lol
Here is a funny fact: A lot of people view Angels as souls that move on to a position to overlook and protect those still living. A lot of people view vampires as souless creatures of the night. Yet there are people that believe angels and vampires to be the same thing.
I believe both angels and vampires are real. I honestly don't picture them in battle, but in a fight I think it would depend on the individual angel and the individual vampire. Each individual has their own strengths and weaknesses, and they can vary at times.
I don't believe one is better than the other and if they both existed I would probably say the vampire would win since angels are pacifists.
I say it would be a tie for the simple fact they could not fight each other.
As lavisbre said the vampire will only fight in the night & the angel only when it has gods light behind it to support it.
Oh a vampire real or fae has never been immortal I mean to say this because a immortal cannot die under any circumstance.
Avampire thru light.
A real one from any common thing.
First there are many different types of angels. ( arc angels, angels of the watchtowers, guardian angels) the list goes on and on. All with a different purposes. I can't see them battling, but for the sake of argument it would depend on which angel the vampire was against. If the vamp was against a arc angel then the vamp would be crushed, if the vamp was against a angel of the outdoors like a fairie then I would have to go with the vamp.
ah. interesting question. it really depends on what kind of angel you believe in, and what kind of vampire you believe in. MBK made an interesting point. what if they're the same thing? i think an angel would win. based completely on the fact that you never hear about angels being killed whereas there are many known ways to kill a "vampire". *shrug* not sure.
So what is a arc angel the one that guards the gates to heaven RAA.
Archangels (Lat. archangelus, pl. archangeli) are superior or higher-ranking angels.[1] Archangels are found in a number of religious traditions, including Islam, Judaism and Zoroastrianism. In Biblical Christianity, the only archangels ever clearly named as being of the order are Michael and Gabriel;
The word archangel derives from the Greek αρχάγγελος archangelos = αρχ- arch- ("first, primary, chief") and άγγελος angelos ("messenger").
I believe the opposite of an angel is a demon, not a vampire. I see no connection between angels and vampires whatsoever.
I would love to believe that they both exist, but don't people always want to believe that something exists that is bigger than themselves?
So, assuming that they both exist, I would say that angels would win every time.
and if I were to answer the quiestion.... I'm for the ANGELS... and no matter what type of an angel will be... I say that just for the symple fact that the angels are holly and it doesn't matter if tha "batle" will be in the dark.... demons are also angels .but fallen ones .. they can fight at night... LOL
Yes but the greatest one to fall is lucifer they say that god himself had to supply two arc angels to replace him because his might was so strong.
Do you believe this to be true?
And that means all so that the demons he gets must be cose to him strength but not close enough to beat him.
The demons can fight & survive on there own but a angel needs gods protection that is the source of there strength. Right??
then why you think god created angels? to take care of them because they are not able to do nothing... ? because god has nothind else to do than to protect his angels?
I thing angels were created with a purpose...to help god... that means they are not powerless...
Both are supernatural so from that aspect equal. However, an angel has the distinct advantage in that it has never born original sin; whereas a vampyre was originally a mortal and has all the weaknesses inherent of that species. Further, there are different classes of angel, casts if you will, including a warrior class, the archangel Michael is from this. But in such an arena I am a mere novice and have no opinion other than I would not desire to be between the two sides!
Ahh..Angels...I've been looking for them, for some kind of redemption...but vampires, ah well, all the despair and the agony, the angst and all the powerful emotions becomes the driving force for victory...angels are cold...vampires are driven to survive...to overcome anything...or any beings...even perhaps even angels...so curse me...vampires rule
Angels are cold?
do you know a vampire ? that you can say "vampires are driven to survive...to overcome anything...or any beings...even perhaps even angels..."
Kadd now I ask you what makes a angel powerful god strength without they are powerless but a demon does not need the devil's protection because they can survive on there own.
Angels and Vampires: One and the Same
PART ONE:
When stripped of all the religious dogmae, the mythical beliefs, the Hollywood hype, etc., and instead "Vampires" and "Angels" are viewed from a purely historical viewpoint, an unavoidable connection is discovered linking both.
The first "angels" to arrive on the scene historically, both in Semitic and Sumerian accounts, were the supposed "Fallen Angels" ("Nephilim," or as more accurately and originally rendered, "Sons of God," as found in Genesis 6:2-4, also called the "Grigori" [Watchers] and "Anunnake" [in Sumerian]). As related in these most ancient accounts, these celestial visitors descended from the skies and taught Humankind. In Sumerian accounts (predating the Biblical ones), these "heavenly" visitors were Sumer's first rulers and their descendants thereafter. In Semitic accounts, however, these same beings were later vilified as "evil" and as having "fallen" rather than descended from "Heaven." Thereafter in these Semitic (e.g., Biblical) accounts, it was their leader, Azazel, who soon was portrayed as the prototype for "Satan," the "Devil," and the rest of these supposedly "fallen" angels became Satan's "angels." This is where the legend came from, as found today in the Book of Revelation, of "Satan" and his followers having been "cast out" of Heaven for rebellion. The fact that none of this is actually true nor is it at all what is found recorded in either the Old Testament, the Books of Enoch or Jubilees, nor even the Midrashim on the subject makes no difference to the "faithful" Christians' assessment of their beloved "Book of Revelation."
What would truly shock Christians today is the indisputible fact that the very concept of a "Savior" who takes upon Himself the sins of the world (i.e., the role of "Jesus," Himself) also began with the legend of the "Fallen Angels." It was the Jewish "Scapegoat" ritual whereby all of Israel's sins were symbolically tied to the "Azazel" goat (the original "scapegoat" named after the supposedly "evil" leader of the "fallen" angels) that the religious concept was born that became the very "Savior" role, itself. Thus, were it not for this original Jewish practice whose role was filled by the prototype for "Satan," himself (namely, "Azazel"), Jesus as "Savior" and Christianity as a religion would never have come into being in the first place!
And there is the reality of where the first "angels" came from, as well as where the concepts of both "Satan" and the Christian "Savior" originated, as well. That's right... the astounding reality is that both spiritual polar opposites of a "Savior" and a "Satan" were both founded upon and evolved out of the same celestial being: "Azazel," the leader of the supposedly "Fallen Angels."
Now... their equal connection to the "Vampires" will be discussed briefly in my next post here.
Angels and Vampires: One and the Same
PART TWO:
As discussed in the previous entry, the accounts of the "Fallen Angels" found in the Old Testament and in Sumerian accounts were the first "angels" ever written about in history. All other accounts that followed were founded upon this first account -ever account of celestial beings descending from the skies and instructing Humankind. Additionally, their leader, known in Semitic accounts (e.g., the Bible) as "Azazel," was also the ironic prototype for both the chief "bad guy" of religion, namely "Satan," as well as also the prototype for the Christian "Savior" in taking upon himself (in the Jewish guise as the original "scapegoat") the sins of his people, in other words "Jesus," Himself. However, the connections do not end here. For in addition to the "fallen angels" having been even further vilified in later Biblical history as being "Satan" and his angels, they and their progeny also were later vilified as ... "Vampires."
As so eruditely and eloquently expounded in Andrew Collins wonderful book "From the Ashes of Angels" (p. 21), we read:
"...in the puritanical words of the Book of Enoch these corrupted souls (the progeny of the "Fallen Angels") are also destined to become the damned, who will 'take no food, [but nevertheless hunger] and thirst'... in East European folklore, as well as in popular romance, there are likewise supernatural denizens that drink blood yet can 'take no food, [but can nevertheless hunger] and thirst', and these are, of course, nosferatu - vampires."
"Romantic writers, for instance, became transfixed by the stories of the Sons of God coming unto the Daughters of Men, and began to feature these devilish characters in their poetic works. A little later, Victorian painters started portraying this same subject matter on canvas. One might even be tempted to suggest that the Book of Enoch was a major inspiration behind the darker excesses of the so-called Gothic revival, which culminated in such literary works as Bram Stoker's Dracula, in which the eponymously named character is himself a fallen angel."
The connection between the "Fallen Angels" ("Sons of God") and "Vampires," however, extends far beyond that of a simple connection of the two made by 19th-Century Romance writers. No, instead both the "Fallen Angel" myths and the original "Vampire" accounts from Eastern Europe both possess a strong sexual component found no where else in recorded history: both the original Sumerian "Anunnake" and their later Semitic parallel as the "Fallen Angels" as well as the Slavic "Vampires" were all males who possessed multiorgasmic capacity, which was why they were honored and revered in both Sumer and also Egypt... yet shunned as "fallen" and "evil" in Semitic accounts and, later in Eastern Europe once also dominated by Judeo-Christian religious beliefs.
Like their far-earlier flood story, so also the Sumerian version of the later "Fallen Angels" story differs greatly from the one written into the Bible over a millennia thereafter. In the original Sumerian accounts that predate the Bible's by over 2,000 years, the "Anunnake" and their progeny possessed and openly displayed an unprecedented, natural, male multiorgasmic capacity.
As previously stated, Sumer's first Kings were the "Anunnake" and their descendants. To ensure that only their descendants ruled, the Sumerians enacted a specifically male multiorgasmic king-making ceremony called the "Hieros Gamos" during which, before he could be crowned king, the King-to-be had to have public sex with a priestess of Inanna... and successfully do so non-stop "50 times". Only then would he prove himself a true descendant of the "Anunnake" and be crowned the new king. If he could not prove this multiorgasmic capacity, he would not be king.
Of course in the sexually repressed Semitic cultures of Canaan, this male multiorgasmic capacity was obliquely referenced (as all things sexual are in the Bible) and specifically demonized. Rather than finding themselves honored as were their Sumerian counterparts, instead the descendants of those called "Fallen Angels" were instead vilified as being "addicted to lust" and for which "crime" they and their families were slaughtered:
"Destroy all the souls addicted to (lust) and the offspring of the Watchers..." (Book of Enoch, ch. 10, v. 18)
But what, you might say, has this to do with "Vampires" and their connection to the "Fallen Angels"? The final piece to this puzzle follows in my third and final post... to follow this one.
Angels and Vampires: One and the Same
PART THREE:
Just as the original "Sons of God" were later vilified as "fallen" and their progeny demonized and then slaughtered by the Semitic cultures of Canaan for suppsedly being "addicted to lust," so also were the Slavic "Vampires" likewise demonized as the blood-sucking "Undead" and slaughtered for the same reason:
"Gypies thought of the vampire as a sexual entity. The male vampire was believed to have such an intense sexual drive that his sexual need alone was sufficent to bring him back from the grave. His first act usually was to return to his widow, whom he engaged in sexual intercourse. Nightly visits could ensue over a period of time, with the wife becoming exhausted and emaciated."
-- The Vampire Book, J. Gordon Melton, 1999; pp. 616-617(emphasis added)
"The sexual nature of the act is plainly indicated in the following examples. Heinrich von Wlislocki*, in his researches into Roumanian superstitions tells us: ...With young people it (The Nosferat) indulges in sexual orgies until they get ill and die of exhaustion. It often happens that women are impregnated by this creature and bear children..."
- On the Nightmare, E. Jones, pp. 117-118 (emphasis added)
* a noted Austrian Gypsologist
"Mullos (Gypsy word for Vampire) also return to satisfy their prodigious sexual appetites... They are so insatiable that their human partners are likely to weaken and become ill with exhaustion."
- The Complete Vampire Companion (R Guiley, pp. 9-10) (emphasis added)
This, then, describes and defines the true defining characteristic of the actual Slavic "Vampire." Lest it be forgotten, the first negative characteristic of the "Vampire" was as a "Nosferatu," meaning "plague carrier," due to the way in which the "vampire" sexually and physically "exhausted" his victims had it appear that they were made victims of the dread disease "consumption".... better known today as "tuberculosis." The later demonization of them as being blood drinkers and rising from the grave came about only after they began digging up corpses and ignorantly assuming the state of the cadavers therein interred resembled that of the living and mistaking decomposition fluids for fresh blood.
Thus, like the descendants of the "Fallen Angels" who were first vilified as also being "addicted to lust" and "bloodthirsty" so as to justify the slaughters that such lies incited against them, so also their far-later descendants were very similarly vilified and demonized to justify yet more slaughter of them as well.
Thus, as briefly outlined in these past three posts, we find that both our concepts of "angels" and "vampires," just as also the concepts of both "Satan" and "Savior," surprisingly are found to originate from the same source: The same small group of Celestial beings who at one time in the far-flung past descended from the skies, taught Humankind, and multiorgasmically mated with Human females.
It depends on what attributes you give the vampires and the angels. If the vampires can only fight during the night and cannot fly, I'd put money on the angels.
I believe the Angels would win. With the Vampires not being able to go out in the daylight . It would be an easy fight for the Angels to win.
I believe that angels exist...not so much vampires, but that's not really what the question asks. I definitely think angels would win in a battle or fight against vampires, I mean angels are supposed to be like pure, divine, and basically good right? Vampires are supposed to be evil, and kill to satisfy their own needs...so we'll just say they're bad. Good prevails over evil right? I think angels would win because they do have the ability to go out during the day, not only that but they just seem more powerful to me, then again if a vampire was angry enough or viscious enough he or she could possibly win the fight..but I am still going to say angels would win.
To say if they really do exist all falls back on what you believe in. As far as which one would win. That would be hard to say. Depending on the nature of the battle, a battle of wits , a brawl fight or just a fight to see how strong one is.
The question is subjective.
I think that neither is better than the other.
realistically and honestly i do not believe in angels so i would say vampires are the only real ones here and have nothing to dispute or one vs the other
The original look and real depiction of the angels were actually gargoyles. They were too monstrous in appearance to be accepted by the new christian church. And the members of the Nicean councel hosted under King James, had to create a new image for the people to be indoctrinated. So technically angels never existed. The gargoyles still rest high atop most old cathedrals to this day! Vampires has been exploited in hollywood for years. All of the fake ass crosses, holy water, silver, stakes, etc... are just tools from folklore used to sell movies in hollywood. Especially when pitching movies in hollywood. "Okay, sir nice story, well rounded, but there were no stakes mentioned, and I also didnt see any crosses in your first draft"
So, the gargoyles would be the vampires. And I think that the Vampires will win. All vampires are not evil, just like all angels are not good. I mean even the mystical creature called the devil has angels. And neither one of them exist. They just want people to think that they do. So people can know that they have a common enemy. They will blame the devil for whatever goes wrong in their lives, instead of taking responsibilty for there own actions.
If they both existed I would say that angels would win because they have good on thier side
i would think if they did both exist an angel would win. . .not that i like angels better.. .but by writings alone. . .dracula was stronger than a normal man, but a couple angels could wipe out a legion of soldiers in one night. .
I agree with ~MBK~ since the dawn of time, angels and vampires both being misconstrude in folklore as well as religious context, are represented by manifestations of the mind.
The only differance I can see, is the stereotypical blood sucker, as associated with literature, and wings.
Who is to say the so called "nephilim" was not a angelic born vampire which turned into a dhampir over time with slight change in definition.
No bigge niether are what you call real or a part of our morbid sense of relaity that we as humans have made up
xxBlackHawkxx -
I must ask how you know which is good and which is not?
angels-because they are from divine origin. There are legions and legions of angels.
This is hard to answear because....
The vampire is said to be made by the devil
The angel is said to be made by god...
And in the history books it goe's back to the gardan of eden eve was portade sort like an angel
And the snack that apporched her was a from of vampire /snake fromed from the devil... and thus
I feel i am not sure who would win
Upir's posts are always informative: The same small group of Celestial beings who at one time in the far-flung past descended from the skies, taught Humankind, and multiorgasmically mated with Human females.
Too bad the emphasis is always on the celestial being's ability to get off or is that a reflection of the patriarchal society responsible for recording this drivel? It's a mere step away from the tales of the Greek gods, who were so emo.
So when getting down to blows and strategy with these mythological entities, I'd have to go with Angels.
They're more organized and there's more team work. Plus, they're all righteous about whatever they do, and derive extra motivation from that.
VelvetPassion -
Where did you hear that vampires are made by the 'devil'?
I do not believe one is better or more evil than the other. Theorectically, both types would have individual personalities, likes, dislikes, etc. So why would one or the other have to be good or bad. There are good and bad in any profession or race, etc.
vampires vs angels- Good vs Bad
Who always wins
I believe people can be vampires and I believe their are angels.
I am drawn to angels a lot, however I am also drawn to Vampires a lot.
I like the thought of them being the same. The dark angel satin. I feel him!
I also feel guardian angels. We all have good and evil in us. Anyone of us could/would kill if in the circumstance which called for it. I think I have equal love and respect for both. I am drawn to them equally. I have angels in my windows. However I am reading a vampire novel and here I am on VR.
jalovlyone -
Who's to say angels aren't bad and vampires aren't good?
mmm very good suject.
i never realy stoped to think about this intell now.
well i think as far as vampires gos they are people to so i think they can be good or bad who are we to say ether way.
far as angels go it also depends on the angel.
i mean for exaple losafur in the bible he was the best looking angel in heven he was also gods fav angel intell he allowed jelusy to take over.he wanted to be better then god.
then after this he was cast out of heaven so it realy depends on the angels mind set.
I'm glad to see the interest taken in this subject although some of the answers are a bit out there... and not very solid...still very interesting.. I hope this thread will continue a long time.
Personally, I feel they both exist... that vampires come from angels, angels are superior in that they have the ability to channel the power of god through faith and live in both spirit and solid form. I think a vampire is able to as well they just would no longer BE a vampire just a soul. I know that history will tell us all kinds of crazy things about both as very clear above.
I don't think my question was point less because I didn't compare Angels to Demons....especially when vampires are often considered a type of demon and demons are considered a type of angel...
I don't think it is fair to say Lucifer isn't powerful or ended up badly considering he is the ruler of his own world and that he was a demon or vampire considering he was an angel as well suppossedly..
It doesn't make sense to me for them to fight without there powers considering they would just be people basically...
I don't think good beats evil because thats all depending on what side you are on.
I think all angels can fight in the dark as night and day is irrelevant to god... and that vampires can sometimes be day walkers in a lot of examples.
Soulshroude:"Anything to keep the mind awake.
(Oooohh, a one liner post...Better slap my hand...BAD LAMA!!)"
WHAT???????
BloodDrenchedRose:"Here is a funny fact: A lot of people view Angels as souls that move on to a position to overlook and protect those still living. A lot of people view vampires as souless creatures of the night. Yet there are people that believe angels and vampires to be the same thing."
This is true but what do you think of them?
Yes it would depend on what angel and what vampire... but assume they are the best of both...
I am well aware of angel rank... but there is vampire rank also.... "Sire" "Seriphim"
"subjective"? it's a matter of opinion that I asked.
Distortion I can tell you are smart but... you make me want to argue about whether or not YOU exist... based on what people have heard or read or have seen makes and opinion of course you can bring faults out in that but this thread was made to see WHAT people think and maybe why...And believe me I mean no offense to you infact you remind me of my best friend.
im pretty sure both exist.....there is soo much that we cannot explain in this universe and that which we cannot explain we check off as paranormal or magical.
as for which would win....well i would think that it would depend on the individual and how much they want the winnage.
and just to say, fuck those assholes who say everything which is paranormal is impossible. who are they to say something is impossible? nothing is impossible its just improbable. bc we have never seen a vampire or a werewolf or an angel does not mean they dont exist, it just means maybe they are smart enough not to be detected by us. if a average HUMAN can learn the art of STEALTH, then why not a fucking SUPER-INHUMAN creature that has the same intelligence (if not way more intelligent)? sorry i ramble
If there ever was to be a fight between Vampires and Angels.. I believe the Angels would win.
An angel vs. a vampire, well considering an angel is a pure being of holy might I think it would easily crush a vampire, if there was the need to do so, but at the same time I think the angel would have a great deal of compassion for this fallen being. A vampire is fast and considered immortal in the ideal it does not age, but it can be killed, an angel cannot die, they are forever.
I think that both exists. I also think that there are some of them that are good, and some that are bad. Who is to say that they don't exists, or are both good or bad? That is what I think.
I think that only because a Angel is a higher being. Graced by God and I'v always heard that good will always win over evil. And considering that Vampire's are considered evil..The Angel would win. Also..A Vampire cannot fight during the day..The Angel would have an advantage there.
angels and vampires....hmm....well a vampire has many strengths, but an equal amount of weaknesses. an angel on the other hand would be concidered the most powerful beings ever talked about other than their maker.....i think angels
i believe angels are better beause of the divine spirit that controls them/ the vampirers are controled by the evil and its been getttin its ass kicked as of late. andgels are divine and nice guys finish first in my book
Angels aren't the most powerful things talked about.
I think the Greek Gods would cover that.
they were gods....did they not create.....hence their maker
Wow, what a very intresting question
I think that this topic can be approached in so many different ways considering the fact that angels are viewed as good, and vampires as evil, but both can be the exact opposite.
However, i do not know much about angels only that they tend to watch over someone they care about, and work for thier God.
So who would win in a fight? I do not know
Actually angels didn't create anything. G-d created angels to be his messengers.
The Greek Gods created though, however.
ok.....i didn't mean angels created anything....read my first post and then the second
I'm afraid it doesn't make too much sense to me. Could you rephrase it?
Distortion -
This may be a bit off subject but if God created Angels to be his messengers (which is something I believe in) and Hermes was the greek messenger God, then isn't he an angel just with the title of a God? I might need to brush up on my mythology haha but I thought I would ask this here.
I don't think so. There was only one 'Hermes' in Greek mythology.
However there are many angels.
Christianity has a belief in one 'G-d' being the creator -- therefore if angels were gods it would change a huge part of the religion.
I should rephrase part of that.
In Greek mythology there was only one Hermes, therefore being one God of the Messenger.
However, it's said Heaven is full of Angels, and everyone that dies who goes there is said to become one. Therefore that would make multiple gods of one thing.
Well yeah, it would take it from a monotheism view point to a polytheism view point, but I was basically just asking that even though there was only one Hermes in Greek mythology, didn't he basically carry out the same deeds/actions that angels do?
Oh, well when it comes to that I don't really believe that everyone becomes an angel once they have passed on, I believe that angels are seperate creatures/entities that were created by god.
I think it might be a pretty tough fight. The hierarchy of angels is quite complex; not all of them are still in God's grace.
I wonder with whom the Fallen Angels would side?
He was, but then again all the Greek Gods and Goddess' had different roles they fulfilled. But I do see what you're saying.
