Hello fellow brother of the oak...I must say i walk the ancient path as well.Though i am sanguine.. i as well stay in tuned with the source.
its great to see others with the same interest as mine and my orders
I find that candle magick works for me. There have been many times when a spell I was working came true because of the candle magick involved. Positive thinking helps immensly as well.
I also use Candles in my magic it seems ti nitensifiy the spell and when I do they come true and work much better with a cleansing also done before hand..
i also use candles but i use stones as well.. like crystals and quartz and rose quartz apache tears, etc. each stone has a different value and purpose..some calm, some ward off evil, some bring peace, relaxation, etc. i also use herbs as well.
well as many of you may or may not know we as druids use herbs and stones , havent used candlemagic but
have heard of it
Colors have a lot to do with the spell you will use with candle magick. Also I've also seen and heard of using colors to send "healing" and energies to someone else. In my mind that is a type of magick too but I don't know the name for it.
I am very diversified. Everything I do works well. Doesn't matter what type of magik I use.
I am a Wiccan priestess and for how long? Pretty much all my life runs in the family. AS far as what I use would depend on what on what I am going to accomplish. With that said I will say everything.
BLESSED BE
i am waitning for more responses, i am looking forward to what people study that i am falimiar with
Wiccan here. Tend to use candles, spells, herbs, and occassionally affirmation dolls.
I am sure if it counts. But I do practice Native American Mysticism and Shamanism. My sisters and I are being trained by our elders to be able to what they do. So that we can take care of the family when they have gone to the next life.
I also like my sister before me have been taught Mysticism and Shamanism by Elders to carry on the traditions of our ancestors before us. I still have a ways to go. there is always a lot to learn.
i mainly use herb magic.... some candles and i use my rune stones alot... but herbs are my thing...
That is good to know I was really sure how to catorgize it. a lot of what we do has a lot do with the healing of ourselves, others and of course mother earth. We are taught how to use herbs, music, and other things to bring peaceful harmony, to us, and to all those around us, including the sky and trees, and the whole of the animal nation.
candle , spoken , herb and rune are the ones i mainly use
I have used spoken forms since I started practicing......
I don't use a single, specific form. Nothing I do is ever repeated or written down, yet I still get results equal to those seen in traditional magic. It is very had for me to explain to others, but it is my own way of doing things.
I use the majik of the ages. Another words I tap in directly to the earth and source. Rarely if ever do I use physical tools such as candles, stones, herbs and so on.
i am wiccan i have practiced for seven years going on eight i have sed candles and found them very effective
The Path that I follow is twain.
I combine Western "Magick/Religion/Mysticim" with Eastern Mysticism/Philosophy.
I channel the Dragon Forces, perhaps this is what those who mentioned "the Source" means.
The Dragon Forces are a culmination of Stellar & Terrestrial energies. These energies flow through & round all of creation & the trained are able to channel this force.
This process was known to the Mystics of ancient China,European "Sorcerors/Sorceresses",the ones who followed the Wise way & Shamans around the Earth.
The energy can be channelled through prayer, song, chants, mantras, movement and/or thought.
i am glad everyone is takeing a active interst in this message, its great to see the mixture please keep it up

I was raised with native american indian beliefs. The Power of Meditation, how to manipulate energy, and this helped me to increase my psychic abilities. I am very empathic and use to do many readings (past, present, and future). I have done energy healing similar to Reiki but have not been trained in Reiki methods. I do not claim to be any religion or of any beliefs in particular i consider myself as just being on a spiritual path.
well i havent personnally but seen many sages doing it here. you might know that my country india is a land of black magic.
i've been working in the arts for somewhere between 25 and 28 years. (i really don't remember anymore)
for the most part i'm working with neuromancy (the mind arts and dreamwalking for those of you that don't know the term) but i also use a lot of tech with my craft as well as traditions from asia and africa.
I use a mix of Zen and magick mixed as well as energy, it's still a work in progress but it seems to do well for me, i'm working with a dear friend to give help.
I consider myself mostly spiritual. I practice magick when the mood moves me, but it is really nature based, and usually uses animal spirits. My vampiric side shows more though. *grins*
I tend to meditate a lot before I go on and use Wicca. I also believe in a lot of healing properties in Crystals. I love doing Crystal work.
Also in my family run the belief in Herbal medicine.
wow this is sopunding very good guys spread the word keep telling people to come post this is very intersting stuff
i want to see how many people are into diffrent forms, of the arts and religions, i am freinds with quite a few or have met u alot of you, i just want, to see what varities, there are out there.

i follow the spiritual animals. mostly i follow my wolf. almost 3 years now.
well i can say that i used to deal in the dark arts...but i no longer do due to the fact that i had some weird freaky stuff happen due to my lack of experience in the arts...i tried spells and stuff that were way out of my control thinking it was a joke...i no longer think dark magic is a joke and i am very happy with sticking to my nature of biting people :-)
well its a good thing, , i would warn everyone about it , i do warn them if you dont know what your doing dont play casue it will hurt u in the long run
My father practices a very old form of Satanism..Its ritual and some other forms I have not learned yet.
I am a Witch that is rather eclectic. I find what feels right and follow it. I love my easy going and love based path, though most of the time, I spend just neutralizing my negative thoughts lol
welli think neutralizeing the bad thought are good casue what ever you send out does come back three fold
i am me, i do what comes naturally. night/air/ice/death. i would not know how to explain. no one around here to help me out with it. ut if anyone knows about the twin brothers i'd like to know.
I'm Satanist and pertake in many forms , from spoken to ritual.May I ask if you are towards the celtic shamanism...Or pure druid?
I study the ancient forms of magic which include spoken magic, candle magic, rituals. I draw My power and energy from everything around Me.
I studied wicca for 7 years and well i would pay to see magic work in real life
hey masterdruid,
i am familiar with many systems. one of my favorite is that from Franz Bardon (Frabato). have you ever heard of him. Bar none the best of recent times. beyond mathers & crowley
I rarely ever practice magik anymore but I used to do a lot with my best friend. We stepped into something that we weren't ready for so we backed off it alot. But when we did it most everything we've tried worked out great for us.
For a long time when I was much younger, I took a great interest in Crowley and Thelemic principles. But I found its basis within tradition to be far too restrictive.
I enjoyed the methodology of his meditations, but couldn't quite seem to grasp his practices, nor feel comfortable with them.
For a time, I read of iconology, symbology and power names, initially those of various Angels and Demons, but felt there was little to be gained from referencing others' perceptions of these 'labels'.
As a result, I wandered through discordianism for a time, with an eventual liking for Spare's 'Chaos Magick', but again, I felt he drove too hard in one direction- that of experiencing sexual exhaustion in order to 'power' his Magicks.
His understanding of symbolism was second to none however, in my opinion. This has helped me move to a more fluid form, which takes the existant opportunity of the moment, utilising whichever tools are available at the time and determining my own significance upon thoughts/words/objects.
Whilst this takes something away from the mysticism of it all, perhaps even being seen as denigrating the idea of 'Ritual', it is equally as effective, in my experience.
I have found that my non-concious mind drives many of my actions nowadays and am careful to avoid becoming trapped into my own predetermined path, preferring instead to seek the 'Golden Path' of Frank Herbert's dune series.
As an aside, I have been intrigued by the concept of Psionics, but these are largely indescribable, without corrupting the core concept with language and really, as a topic, it counts as a seperate study.
Shamanism has always held some pull for me, but I'm yet to investigate it deeply, nor Wicca, though I understand the ideas of both, since they appear largely interlinked.
Herbalism, a derivation of the two above, is essentially a science study to me, along the lines of Medicine, so as a 'Magic', I cannot see that it's appropriate to be called such.
I'm not sure that this counts as a magic, but I see Auras and I have a great amount of kinetic energy which I use for healing. I am capable of seeing places in the body that aren't in balance and help adjust the problem with the powerful energy I have.
that is more you power not a form of magic
and master druid i my form does not really have a name but i have gone with druidic wicca and paganism before ( my older brother was a elder )
I have studied many form of magic from wicca to satanism to the anceint form of the magicka (or mage magic) of offensive and definsive and the practice of an apothacory
my main coven uses tarot magic and my teaching coven wants to
I practice Blood Magic and Crystal Magic
i also can read palm, tarot and specialize
in Ouija!
Fire magik, herbal magik, and i would like to get to know more about the blood magik, ive got serval viles of my own, and no they havent coagulated, the viles i got from somewhere
There are many different types of magic, and thus, is often left to the discretion of oneself, as space, time and energy are just as malleable as perception.
As for the type of percepted magic that I practice, mostly I prefer to let others decide for themselves.
I haven't had much luck with candles personally, but they seem to work great for many people that I know!
Things I have found that work good for me would be, fire, tarot, blood, & rituals. Like MaximusPain, I to specialize in Ouija!
myself I tend to simply calm my mind, visualize what I wish to occur...then forcefully apply will to the matter at hand...
I gave up the need for ritualization long ago...
tru I could probably focus more intently with it...but I never use magic for anything large in any case..only little nudges to get the ball moving
I like a mixture of candle magick and natural magick. and i throw a couple of pther magicks into like healing stuff. Am a Wiccan but come froma hereditary line of Druids dating back around the late 1800's or early 1900's when they migrated from England to Australia. and i have respect for the Druids
Well im native american and we practice spitural healing as well as natural remedies. We also use energy as well as the earth. Some have called our medicine people witch doctors or black magic. It isnt either of those things.
I am very attracted to working with Sones and Candles... I am still Exploreing and Learning... I have been Learning less than a year now... It is very hard under certain circumstances for me right now...
Wicked Kisses My Fellow VR Friends...
I'm Wiccan, and use candle, casting, hearbs...really depends on what i'm doing..hope it helps.
i am curently using spoken magic , herbs , and candle magic ,
but i also am interested in all forms of magic so if anyone has any good sources of info ( books , web pages etc.... ) please feel free to message me.
tasin , i am sure that there are alot of places taht you can get great info from, and if you look hard enough u will deffinietly find what it is that you seek but heed a warning , as many of you know the spirits, and forces are not toys for they can casue great harm to you and those close around you.
i am constantly looking for more i have collected a fairly large library of books to read so far just looking for more, I apreciat the warning to use caution i will i have seen the things that can happen to those who do not show caution
I practice many different forms of the occult arts, I appreciate someone finally asking... I study the works of crowley, regaurdie, and anything else that i can find of high ceremonial magick, along with the collected works of konstantinos, the inner, outer, and shamanic temples, and I am highly attuned in divinational arts and healing through animal totems. I have yet to choose a patron god/dess, but as I respect all entities attaining to the mastery of self, I believe that I worship all dieties, gods, and goddesses fairly equally. The craft helps me to balance my mind with magick, thusly, helping me create and maintain my path. I am nowhere near as versed as I would like to be, however, and If anyone has any recommended reading, or useful tidbits of any kind, I would be glad to read it.
Doas thou wilt shall be the whole of the law!!! Perdurabo.
Not into magic completely, but have tried Norse and Celtic magic (mainly rituals and stuff for various things) Have been reading about but have not yet tried Dragon Magik (summoning dragons, or dragon spirits)
I was born into the wiccan religion and have been practicing since I was 11 and understood it better...
I am wiccan...at the moment I am still an apprentice and have mainly been in on protection rituals...and aura cleansings...as well as a cleansing of my trailer back in VA Beach...but I know that some of my friends fuck around with shit they shouldn't ...like the necronomicon
Words have "power".
This something that has been known for milleniums & in many places.
In Egyptian mythology,Thoth made creation with a spoken word & was the God of the words of power.
Geneis (Judeo-Christian bible) says of te creation "and God said----" let there be light & so on.
In Voodoo, both ritual & words of power are used.
"Secret names" are supposed to be powerful. To know one's secret name is to possess power over them.
The list goes on.
this is not an area that I am well versed...in fact I don't know a damn thing...lol
Master Druid/VR Family
What would be a good "beginners" source to read or study?
their is a from of ruinic magic that is hard to do considering the ruins have to behand made by your self and then tattooed on to the skin, in precise places for the magic to truely work in the way it should work.
Hello,Irishvampgirl.
Most books are too "Fairy Tale" & are somewhat limited in how much help they can be.
A teacher might be in order.
However,if you feel the need to read & try moving forward from there, sometimes you CAN tell a book by it's cover & you may know without reading which books are too make believe.
I find practices to be pretty personal.
When I began my studies,I'd read books on the various subjects, but then I learned to take what I felt would work for me & developed those processes,& tossed everything else to the side. You'd know what works for you because that would be instinctive. You'll feel it. Your own Spirit should be your guide, follow your Heart.
thanks...don't personally know anyone who could teach. I am pretty limited in my social life. But, I can see your point about the books being a little "fairy tale-ish". Maybe you should write a book...lol Do you recommend any sites were this is the focus of the site that may be able to offer assistance?
another form of magic is blood magic. it tricky to do but you must have a very safe place ot do it.
there are many teachers i am one of them, all you have to do is ask
This is an awesome post as I too am very curious about magic. though i do wonder if magic in the abstract sense has any true power over that of a sword.

There had been a thread here on Blood Magic. I don't know if you can still find it, but you might like to look in the archives...
I believe that is where you would find it if it is not here, anymore.
I have practiced Candle , spell magic for quite some time... I am now studying on magic from my druid heritage yet I havent tried any at this time
I am not really a Practitioner per se, but I am very knowledgable about the inumerable forms of Magic, or magyks that are both widely known and a few lesser known forms. Some of those include a nonverbal form that deals with channeling energy into a focal point such as an object or thought.
Dealing with this subject, I am more of an intermediate tutor of sorts, more commonly affiliate with the Green, Solo, and Coven related magyks that many first pick up when beginning.
And Tasin, if you are still looking for a good place to find books, or even individual spells, rituals, and other magyk related items/subjects, I highly recommend visiting: spellsandmagic.com.
Puzzuzu, the site organizer, has an extensive listing of many of the arts that are practiced, and then some. Many of the entries have been posted by visitors to the site, but some do stem from Puzzuzu's own experience as a Practitioner.
Good luck with your search, and may you be sheilded from that which may mean you harm.
There Are Many Types of Magic But The Most Potent Is The Lore of Elements. I Think
I have an odd affiliation with dogs :) Causing them to almost speak...but besides that I practice drawing heat from things I touch..whch can be dangerous but I make sure I'm kept in check :)
Mastuma, I thought the most powerful sphere of magic was blood magic, as you are using the essence of life?
At least that is what I have been told.
I use crystals, runes, candles, etc. I don't focus on one true path.
I've heard useing blood magic was dangerous is that true? Dont know to much about it.
masterdruid, excuse me, I have found my path. Pretty ignorant when someone else tells you that just because you don't practice "magick" you are on the wrong path. Especially when you yourself spelled it incorrectly for the context in which you speak of it.
Well as my other two sisters have said we are Native American and we practice the ways of our people(Mysticism,Shamonism). We are being taught by an elder so we can pass our ways onto our children to carry on the traditions.
I take more of the LHP approach to magick. Necromancy, Demonology and rootwork are more or less my areas of magickal practice.
