Okay, I don't know if anyone has posted about this before, but it is something I am interested in. Has anyone here ever allowed a ghost to use your body to communicate with the living?

I did once. There was a ghost in my room and I wanted to know what he wanted. So I told him to use my to tell my friend that I was talking to online. I completely blacked out and when I came to, it was 20 minutes later, and there was all kinds of stuff written on the instant messenger that I don't remember typing. The other thing I noticed about it was that there were a lot of spelling errors (which I'm anal about, I try to spell correctly so as not to look stupid) and there were capital letters in strange spots (i waNt tO be hEre noW for example was one thing written there).

So, anyone else who has had an experience like this, please share. I'm interested in knowing how many people are willing to allow this kind of thing to happen (or if you didn't allow it, and it just happened, share that too!)

It has been a real long time since I have logged into this site. I am going to try not to sound too ignorant but just reading what you wrote had me wondering. I just wanted to say that if there was a spirit in your room they would not have approached in such a way as you mentioned. Also the figuritive writing sugested is called spirit writing. Not sure if that helps any. :)

Well I had many experiences with this! I seem to I don't know attract them or something, so I usually or almost all my life have been able to feel them there! One of my ex's he was very willing to let them enter his body! That was a very odd time in my life. Me & him were both very unusual..so when we parted ways I turned my back on all magic/supernatural. We met many, some bad, some good! Alot of people think that bad spelling means the spirit is evil. In my experience I found this to be incorrect, it went both ways! I would be very careful messing around with them much though! Don't be to willing to let them enter...it can sometimes become hard to get them out!

this has never happened to me, but my belief on such things is that if we believe something strong enough, we go into a state of self induced belief if you will.....I think a lot of what happens to people is merely brought on by themselves and their desire to want to believe. Just my opinion, until I am made a believer anyway

anyways, this sounds like a very minor possesion, similar in nature to automatic writing, did you actually know the ghost was there before hand and openly allow the possesion?

No, I never have but I have a friend who beleives that she has. i have to admit i don't reall know if i beleive her because she said she was very drunk and very very stoned at the time.

Well I have been in a sweat lodge wich for those of you who dont know what that is its a place that natives go for cleansing,healing,prayer,etc. Well I have seen spirits enter ones body to use there voice to display a message that someone needed or prayed for.

My friend Jason is known for bringing ghosts with him. Every place he lives is haunted in some way shap or form and we recently moved into a new house and when Jason came over he brought a ghost with him or at least allowed the ghost to become more noticeable with us. Nothing bad has happened thankfully, but I enjoy peaceful sleep, not ghost interrupted sleep.

All righty, here's some more details as to what happened...

I was sitting in my room around 1am talking to a friend I had at the time on AIM. I have always been able to see/communicate with ghosts. This one is known to me, and is not pleasant. He was sitting by my door, laughing in a crazy kind of way that was creeping me out. I tried to get him to go away (all the usual stuff, telling him, asking him, and even tried to cast a little spell to get him at least out of my room) but I was going through some bad things and he was very attracted to my negative energy and wouldn't leave (I found that out later from another person who did a tarot reading after this happened).

So anyways, I asked my friend if he would be okay with me using my the IM as a medium for writing if I let the ghost use me as a medium. He said sure, and so I cast a spell to protect myself as best I could, and told the ghost that if what he had to say was so important to use me to tell us what it was. A couple minutes later, I came out of a blacked out state and asked what happened.

My friend said that I had typed all kinds of wierd stuff and told me to read it. I scrolled up and there was all kinds of rants about witches, how much he hated them, how I couldn't control him and never would. There was also a minor threat about going to my friends to give him trouble.

I asked my dad (who, for as much as I hate it, has better luck dealing w/ spirits then I do) and told him what happened. He told me that the ghost I had been dealing with had lost his wife when she was accused of being a witch by someone in town. She killed herself, he went crazy. Though he's not crazy anymore, he likes to act like it to justify his hatred of real witches and most people.

Hope that helps some of you wanted to know more about what happened.

See.. now that's good information. Find out what is important to the ghost and why he's hanging around...

Now, can we come up with a solution to get him to go away?

That hasn't happened to me, completely. One, I won't allow it, and two, I don't need it too.
For I can commincate with him{yes, him}by just using a little telepathic plane we create.
Plus, there was one ghost upstairs, that tried to take over my body, but I guess my will was just too strong....so now he's been chained to the wall using energy...he's really pissed at me, but oh well.

Sometimes having the house blessed will help. This is what my mom did when I lived with her. I could still feel them & know they were there, but they stopped doing weird things. I don't think they go away, but it prevents them from doing things! But if your not sensitive to them, then this will probably be enough!

I've never offered a spirit my body for its use but I believe I have been influenced to do things by one and acted out of character because of it.

The idea of blacking out and having no memory of what happened is interesting. When I was younger I used to 'zone out.' I don't mean go off into daydreaming mode. I mean sitting doing something, pausing momentarily and then resuming the task. Except hours may have passed in what was a very short pause in my mind. This doesn't happen as much as it used to, at least I don't think it does, but I have travelled into town more than once in this zoned out state. I don't know if there was anything supernatural involved but it was still very strange.

i think what this could be is not exactly allowing a ghost to communicate with the living the the fallen angels or demons the most powerful of all spirits in to communicate with the living

I'd be very careful about inviting in any entity in which you have distrust...

I think that personally I would prefer to go the route of the Ouija board or other type of ritual as opposed to sharing my body. I'm not that trusting a person.

No I have not had the chance to expieriance this and I really don't wnat to.. I get enough ghosts in most places I move to.... But it could possibly be interesting in a wierd kinda way....

Yes I believe that ghost do influence those around them. Most often those who are trying to communicate because of a sudden or violent death.

Daermon brings up an excellent point, if you are able to channel you should not just let you defences down and allow the spirit access.

I did this once when I was a teenager. It was an odd experience, seeing glimpses of a life and place I have never been. However it became clear to me that there were more spirits around. By opening myself it seemed I was beaconing to others, and was very quickly overwhelmed.

Since that time I have not allowed other spirits access to channel through me, as there are other means of finding out what they want. Some believe that possession is channelling where the person has lost control and the spirit takes over.

To further expand on what Daermon said. I have a friend who allows ghosts into her body. And she helps them and what not, to help them move on or just to put them at peace. But the last time she did it, she I guess let an angry ghost into her body and she's completely lost it. I don't really fully get into the supernatural things just because I've never really had an experience. But it like changed her... I don't know how to explain it. She just seems tainted or something. It's weird. So I would just be very careful.

I once did this unknowingly in a graveyard once. I was with a friend and we went to the grave of her friend who passed away in a car crash not long ago. I felt all sickly and weird then the next thing I knew I was in tears and laying on the ground. She told me that I took on a male voice and started to tell her things that I would never have known about the day of the crash. I couldnt believe it and I refused to speak about it again. The following night, I had a really vivid dream where I saw this man that passed away and he said thank you to me for letting him speak through me. After that I believe that it really did happen. It still sometimes freaks me out though.

while doing a reading for a friend, there was a spirit that was attempting to communicate through my cards. My friend told me that there were children and a woman in his house. He said the woman pretty much was in the bathroom. I took my cards in there and brought my friend with me. I blacked out for about 15 minutes. when I came to, I was in the tub and my friend was freaking out. Apparently I began to throw cards at her and laugh and got into the tub. My friend asked her questions about her death and why she was her. She was killed in the bathtub and her children were killed as well. Everytime I am there the woman still tries to enter me.

My question is the same as alot of other's? Why would you let him enter your body not knowing his intention's? That was very risky. I have never had a spirit try to get into my body to commuincate to other's but have felt their presence....

well... it depends on thy state of mind, as well as thy disposition, some ppl art more vulnerable, and willing to lenf their bodies to these beings , it has never happened to me, except i think once...during a runic invocation...no matter, fare thee well.

Unfortunately I have done this a few time..it is quite overwhelmong and emotional..I wouldnt really recommend it

im sure that the human soul or aura can be a medium for spirits to communicate through, there is one of the most haunted graveyards in the country less than a mile from me, and i have heard of the neighbors of this graveyard to have had many hauntings and also some of the locals to have felt a spirit pass through their body, it creeped me out hearing what some of them had to say

I wouldn't have let a ghost use m in that manner I have talked to spirits, ghost what have you..
I would tend to be very nervous letting one in that way as I wouldnt be sure it would ever totally leave again....
I would think that to be rather dangerous.

I don't thing I'd ever allow a ghost to do that. My friend claims to be possessed by spirits, but I don't believe she is. Her body language doesn't change and she tends to use the same slang words.

I have on occasions allowed a spirit to use my body to communicate. I have been lucky so far, but it is not something I will recommend. Spirits can lie to you, lull you into a false sense of security and if you allow the wrong ones to enter, it takes a lot of effort to get rid of them again.

I have seen it go wrong once, some friends and I were using my Ouija board and the youngest was the "media"

We got a spirit to enter her body, but it was one of the bad ones. My friend reacted like she was on fire, screaming and begging for mercy when all of a sudden things settled down. We all thought that the spirit had left, but she acted strangely afterwards. She was highly agressive, and often violent. She had no mental illnesses and there was no genetic disposal for it either, so the only explanation we could come up with was that the spirit was still residing in her.

After this experience I will not recommend to anyone to let a spirit use your body to communicate. It does not matter how powerful you are, it is not a great idea.

i havent but they talk to me all the time sometimes cant get them to leave me alone once they know you have a special light cast over you the flock to you

I have had the uncomfortable experiance of allowing ghosts to use My body to communicate with other people. When I allow one to take possesion of the body, even for a short time, I pull Myself back within My mind though keeping some watch over My own body to make sure nothing is being done with it. Once the spirit is done though, it feels weird and hard to explain.

Well the medicine woemn who pours my Native Sweat lodge has used her body as a vessel for spirits to communicate threw her. My sister has also had this happen to on one occasion. From what I hear it is a very exhausting experience and when your not used to it you can feel as though you dont have control of yourself.

The danger is well like many have said here far to risky spirit possesion is as bad as anyother kind...
Possesion happens it is hard to get rid of things that come in and can invade they take over and you stop bing who you were before....
Talk to them yes if you can let them in you have or I would think beable to talk to them as well.....

Being wary of the spirits you let in of course. And i haven't had any spirit in to myself. Been intrested of course of this as you. My mother has let spirits in, to spirit write as well. Just hope this as well, helps.

I do believe that the spirit world is much too powerful to play with. I have had friends who contacted spirits and did not have very good results. Of course the spirits they were invoking were not friendly in nature and they did not really respect any of the boundaries. You must be very careful.

I would be afraid that a spirit would get in to your body , and not want to leave.

Sleen has a point...unless you have the strength and ability and perhaps help around you, I'd never willingly allow that. To me, a ouija would be safer.

I believe in possesions and I believe in Poltergeists.. I have experienced it first hand. AND it was recorded. also there were 4 people in the room at the time the poltergeist appeared. We ALL saw, the same thing when we wrote our reports.

The sound on the recorder done with a boom mic, was that of what we heard also.

I have never done this but I have seen it done before it is a practice forbidden in both my tribe and the tribe of Grael and for good reason, people have died or permanently lost their souls doing that before when the spirit has had more in mind than communication.

The experience I had was the first, and the last time I will do it. Well, maybe not the last, but if I do it again, I will take more precautions. I can't really say why I just went ahead and did it. I think I was just annoyed by him and wanted to find out what he wanted and quickly. It was stupid to do that without being more safe, but what's done is done...

no i have never allowed one to do so.... nor do i think i would ever allow one... i have herd of people allowing them to take over there body to communicate with them but i feel personally it best not to.because once you allow them to they can continue to do it as they wish......

It's only a good idea to try if you are well protected and know what you are getting into and what to expect.

when i was younger i talked to a ghost. everyonce in a while it would show up and talk. during that time i would black out and when i came to, strange things had happened. i once came to and i was in my mothers car and it was on and in drive. after that i never blacked out again and i never spoke to that ghost again.

as far as being afraid of the ghost taking over, that would only depend on how weak yuor soul is. for those of us that are mentally strong. we have no worries, unless. you come across a being of potential. power equal too yours...but i would love the chance too ....expeirience this...fun, fun

Ive never let one posses me but one did try to kill me once.

some how she got into the house, how i do not know, my room-mate had the house protected by a friend of hers.

i was asleep and woke up right before the ghost entered my room. she slipped in underneath my bed covers and tried to suffocate me. somehow she forced part of herself down my throat. as i was fighting her off she whispered in my ear "I want you to be with me".

don't know how i stopped her, somehow i shoved her off me and she left. never heard from her after that either.

I think allowing something to channel through you is one of the most dangerous things you can do. You are in fact allowing something into you that may now always have a way in because of knowing the territory that your inner being consists of.

They may let you go and do their own thing but what if they are consumed by something malevolant and because now they are a part of it and it was a part of you that malevolant thing wants to play around in your psyche now?

Fun times I guess if you like your soul to be fed on.

it is always dangerous allowing entities to channel thru you, they can be decietful and may have malevolent intentions...be warned

Perhaps it was a ghost, perhaps you need some counseling. I don't know. I have seen several ghosts, never have they used my internet. At least I don't think they've used my internet.

I think this is really interesting, I haven't heard of anything quite like that before. I have a hard time believing in ghosts because I have never seen one. I keep an open mind about it and I want to see a ghost, but it's just never happened with me. Maybe I'm just not sensitive enough to their presence. Anyhow, I would definately love to hear about more experiences you and others have had in dealing with ghosts and possessions.

Like others have said be very careful when you allow yourself to open to the spirit world or even the use of energy. I have seen people get very hurt by not knowing what they were getting into to. I had a bad experince one time my self when I allowed someone I didnt know to assist me.

i dont remember ever having them speak through me, though ive seen them speak through others. ive also talked to them many times, theres a graveyard here where there are a few girls i talk to, and at least one guy i fight with. its sometimes hard to sleep over the whispering of spirits, though im not sure which ones or spirits and what is the web.

I didn't honestly think it would work myself...but a spirit simply uses you and whatever medium you happen to be using (in most cases a pen and paper, in mine a keyboard) to convey the message they wish to give you. So, I accept that if I know how to use a keyboard, the spirit will be able to as well. It wasn't using the internet (meaning, it didn't mysteriously make words pop up on the screen), it used me and my medium.

The closest thing to an experience with this is a ouiji board. I was young and stupid, so naturally I did it alone. I didn't think anything of the answers I was getting and stopped after about 15 minutes to go get ready for better. Later that night while washing my face, I looked in the mirror and saw not my own reflection, but someone elses.

I have not yet, but I will soon.

I heard you can learn a lot about ghosts, the undead, spirits, angels and all that hobgobble from a women who is ALWAYS on the Montel show. Keep forgetting her name I believe her name is Slyvia Browne she has a lot of books out and one recent one about the mystical life of jesus and father god.

Wouldn't read them myself but they may be of intrest to those who believe in things like ghosts.

I've never done so but that does mean that I'm not open to it. I think the spirits who have not moved on may need our help to get their message across.

i think somthing like that happened to me once. but i realy cant be sure. i blacked out and my personal journal had a new set of lyrics in it. they sucked but i didnt write them so i dont care.

i dont think i would allow any spirit entrance within me. i had an unwelcomed experience happen to me when i was 14 surrounding my first astral projection. it seriously freaked me out and yes it did change me. for the next six years or so i began sleepwalking badly. my parents said there was no telling if i was awake until i spoke. violent rages and blackouts began. and the fear of looking at myself. i think of this as a possession, though i have no real knowledge of what it was really. but i think after that experience i would be dubious to allow anyone to gain any type of control over me

Hm... I really don't beleive in that sorta stuff....not to be rude or anything and I am not calling you a liar. It is just part of my religon (Christian)...but I have no proof to prove it right or wrong.

Ive hunted ghosts for over a decade now and I have seen or what is perceived to have happen. It was really intense and it was one of my friends. I knew for a fact he wasnt kidding around.

Irishman, I have had the pleasure of witnessing such a thing, close but never the full blown possession.

hottubmolly - I had tried to communicate with this particular spirit before allowing it to take possession of me, it refused to speak, just laugh. That's why I went about it the way I did.

Kytrin - I didn't say that the inability to spell made this spirit malevolent. It was what he was saying and the message he was trying to get across to me and my friend. The bad spelling was just an indicator that I hadn't been aware of what was going on, due to the fact that for the most part, I am almost obsessive about spelling correctly.

Being obsessive about spelling should then show that he / she was definitely trying to get your attention. was there something in the message that seemed particularly important or annoying to you?

Most ghost cant spell correctly at all and are known to be liars to get their host to trust them and ulitmetly do their bidding. I cant say I have had the experience and Im not really sure I want too.

And what happens?

Death is an alternate plain and once you open the door for an alternate plane to use you weather it is directly or indirectly you can never close that door you need to be strong enough to retain yourself and not loose yourself. You are never the same after the door is opened and you never see things the same after that. From that point on it is a struggle to keep control they will come to you at any time and you can not shut it off. This is not something to wish for it can be and is a curse.

Well I basically zone out (as we call it) my eyes change color most times, and sometimes my voice gets a little different. There was one insident where this one girl that had been murdered used me...... and started talking to my husband....... nothing she said made sense but, he wrote it all down anyways. When I came round he told me it all (because I never recall) and he said a name that clicked with me. It was the name of an author. So he suggested that we go and pull a list of books by that person... We now own a true story about her daughters murder, and how it is unsolved. Psss... her boyfriend and his friends did it by the way. That is one example. It can vary from time to time.

Wow I find that to be very interesting. The only times I have seen this happen is in native ceremony. I have never seen someone just sitting there and they go into a "zone"out and it happens. Hmmm find it to be very intersting. Do you find yourself to be exhausted afterwards? What are your feelings physically?

Well to be honest, it all depends. If it happens for a long period of time, then yes it can indeed make me feel a bit drained, but if it is only for a few minutes then no it doesnt. When I come round, I tend to be just confused mainly. lol. Lack of memory. It happens to me more during the winter then it does in the summer, and sometimes ir will happen all the time and then there are times that I will go months or even a year without anything of that such happening. It is strange, and yes many dont believe it, which is fine by me. I have no need to prove myself to anyone. lol. I believe even my husband was a bit skeptic at first when I told him of it, but when he started seeing it happen, that went away fast. Unfortunatly my daughter also has it happen to her. I am not really sure how to teach her about it seeing as how it truley is not that common of a thing, but at the same time dont want to discourage her or make her feel strange. The way I see it despite the fact that I have that gift, I am just the same as others and no better. I have other gifts, and there are many theories as to why, and many people who have witnessed alot of it, but I am one of those people that wont prove it to you... If you know me and we get along, eventually it will be seen..... To me the whole medium thing is not abnormal, because it has been my life for as long as I can recall....

Ive actually spoken to a spirit via cursedtodarkness.... he was a bit of an 4ss... said some strange things... it came with no warning too... and i definatly wasnt expecting it.

Yeh that was a strange experiance, learned that after the fact...... Was not a nice night.
