Does drinking type O negative blood pose any problems at all?
Or even a Type O neg type, drinking other blood types come to think of it!!
no the blood is in the stomick and all the + and - stuff is stopped my the stomic asids the only diffrence i have found is the metalic tast is less with - people than it is in + people
there are no threats and the only difference is the taste. but i would recommend someone with clean blood.
i would pay more attenton to wether or not the blood is clean rather than the type...
Yes, as the above have stated.
The "type" refers to an antigen protien that is destroyed by digestive fluids. It only causes issued with transfusions and when an in-utero fetus' Rh factor is incompatible with the mother's. No issue with consumption in the digestive system.
as long as youre not doing a blood transfusion it shouldnt matter
Besure you're getting from clean source, but none the less even that wouldn't have that great of an effect unless you have open sores in your mouth or track...
Make shore the person you are drinking from is clean the HIV virus can still be transferred even thaw the ingestion of blood.
dont know much about blood drinking myself but im o neg and my lycan x drank from me and he was fine
However, it should be noted that many things (flossing, gingivitis, chapped lips, bit lip, etc) can cause what would technically be a wound or cut into which diseased blood could travel and infect your system and that while mucous in the mouth and saliva are better barriers against things like HIV, direct contact with blood is a more effective carrier of blood born pathogens than sex...so drinking someone's infected blood exposes you to a more concentrated amount of the disease than sex (though in a less receptive area: the mouth).
Basically, use caution, use your head, know your partners/donors.
No blood doesnt make you sick unless it doesnt agree with you as the person drinking it, like u think its nasty & it makes you nauseous lol. Like others side there is always diseases to think about though.
To be honest, I have only a realatively small experiance in drinking, but I have found that type only really affects the taste. But I agree, I focus only on the cleanliness rather than the type.
i have o negitive and nothing has happend yet but i think you should be more worried about the cleanlyness of the blood unstead of type

My opinion is like most peoples, EXCEPT I do not think it would taste any different. Blood is blood no matter the type.
im type o and ive never had any problems...then again ill drink cows blood too...
i am o and no one has got sick off me .. i am told the only diffrence is the taste
I personally do not drink blood, nor do I share!!I agree with KCRC about the medical information. From what I gather, and from what I've read, blood taste varies only a little, but what a person eats may also affect the taste somewhat!
Aslong as the carrier of the blood has clean blood there is no risks. The blood doesn't go to you're blood stream but your digestive tracks.
Vampires can't be choosey......or is it the smell of the blood before the bite that makes the difference ???
I'm a type 0 positive. I drank blood of someone who was AB negative. It didn't have any negative affects on me. Nor did it taste different from mine. It depends on whether the blood is clean.
Bodomreaper.. Yes it does go in to the blood stream!! everything we eat is absorbed and goes in to the blood stream! Why do you think we take medicines orally?
I understand the dieases part also...
I was divulging to find out if there were risks...
Interesting feedback. I never would have thought it'd taste different!
COOL!
KCRC is right and I couldn't have said it any better then that :)
What???? I dont understand what it is that you are asking for us to respond to.
Aren't O-neg recipients the highest miscarriage blood type out of all, I wonder why it happens??
I understand the metalic-taste is due to the iron in the blood and those with + have more and - have less. So, naturally - would taste better.
Still drink blood if you need it, but not too much, as you may vomit. Then again, everyone is different and will react to drinking blood differently once it is in the stomach. As was suggested already in the messages above, drink only certified clean blood. :)
my question is what does it have to do with the blood type, does it have to be a certain blood type
Doesn't have much to do with type outside a transfusion. Clean is the most important thing.
If vampires were really real (as in Hollywood dracula style) then that would pose a problem as the theory is the blood is consumed and then absorbed into the actually bloodstream...
However if we're talking about vampires in the sense of someone who drinks blood then it would reside in the stomach and not affect their own blood.
Right. As blood is digested (in small amounts) it would no longer be blood but it's broken down elements and might not be used for blood again (it could be used in making fat or other cells. Drinking blood doesn't directly add to your own bloodstream. To do that, you'd need to transfuse it into a vein.
I think that people try to add to the mystique of vampires and to rare blood types by placing limitations on them.
Any Blood Type Of Any kind will not hurt you by it's self. You Are Drinking it rather than injecting it into yourself. If your body rejects it than you expell it through your bowls. If However It is tained By A virus Than You Will Not Be So Lucky
I am type O- and was told that I can give to any type and I can also receive only from O- tho but since the stomac destroy the pathoagent that can fight in the not same type blood, so it should be safe, stilll as stated do testing the blood cause the stomac is not imune towards desease like HIV, hepatite a,b c or nether a or b
i do not think it can harm you the taste will be different and i think that is all
i was told that there is just a different flavor to type o neg blood. the only thing u ever have to worry abou tis disease.
as far as feeding goes, shouldnt be aproblem.but at transfusion level,i think trouble abound.
I think the only reason type matters is for the taste. I particularly like B myself.
But the donor's gotta be clean. That's my number one rule
i drink the blood af all my friends , and there friends. (those that live near me) and so far i hav not found any problems with any of them. there is that chance that i have drank typr o neg blood from any of them but still that wuld b least likely
As everyone has stated i don't see any problem with it unless it was a transfution of blood that u'de probably just die or have seriouse problems for a long time. Cince the blood your drinking goes into ur stomach it will either just be destroyed by the stomach acid or end up going out with the rest of the waist. Cause it would still be too coplicated of matter to be absorbed back into the blood stream and if it would be it would no longer bee a blood type at all anymore.
Other than the inherent risks that are already assumed by taking someone else's bodily fluids into you, especially blood, there shouldn't be any difference caused by blood type. When Native Americans used to kill their prey they would drink the blood of the deceased game they were hunting. There were no reported health problems caused by this at that time or even since, other than diseases.
The type doesn't matter if you're drinking it, I would be more worried about the purity (I would hate to get AIDS or something
O negative is the universal donor blood.
I would think that either type wouldn't matter, as to taste. I would be seriously cautious, as he blood can be tainted with AIDS, or hep C.
