How do you determine what is the right decision from your premonitions? Many times I have caught myself wondering if the decisions that are ment to be made are the right ones.
Any one know how you can determine them?
With me if I get what feels like a kick in the gut, I don't do what I was planning on doing. If I don't feel anything I approach with caution and if I feel a burning in the chest I know its right thing to do.
I know this sounds cheezy, but follow your heart... Mines never let me down before... Let the zombies have your brain... you don't need it... THINK WITH YOUR HEART!!
This may sound kinda weird but i dont have a heart. and i can never tell what is right cause there are times when i feel like im gettin kicked in the gut and its the right thing to do but others its not.
Following premonitions too closely may actually be the wrong idea. For instance...You may be trying so hard not to let it happen that your precautions actually lead to the fullfillment of the prophecy.
I just dont know when im making the right decisions...
Premonitions just show one possible outcome that fate has planned, or at least I think it does. I have had premonitions that were so close to reality, it scared me. But all I can really say concerning the "right" and "wrong" decisions, follow your instincts. It's sad to say, if something is meant to be, then it will happen. Sometimes all people do it prolong the wait and sometimes make the situation even worse.
dont' get too wrapped up in trying to fulfill or prevent your premonitions is what their basically saying. When you're trying to do that it has the opposite effect
well some of the things....arnt exactly happy....especially when you have to watch a friend or some one you know die....somtimes there are things that you want to prevent sooo much it just makes it coming true that much harder
I just do what i want and whatever happens, happens...
if you have premonitions.....I dont think that you ever know if its the right ones until you make that decision....
I dont believe u can plan to make a right or wrong descission ahead of time. U have to make ur descission there and then and if it is right well well and good if it is wrong well it just try again....besides not everything we do goes to plan so a right descission could turn out wrong just because we had to make a change
everyone has something called " fan shaped destiny". which means, even when you change your mind, it has already been decided you'd change your mind to another choice. matrix shit huh? but very real. look it up.
Personally i think that it is your decision - i just go with what I THINK is right, if it feels like a "kick in the gut" as it has been described, then you know somethings up, all you gotta do is take a step back and think about it for a few moments.
asses the situation and what possible outcomes would occur depending upon your actions.
Illianos.
Most of the time I dont bother to much, I just wait and see, since it is rare and kind of pointless to try to stop it, as it will happen, I usually just try to limit the damage. This is my two cents
I personally can tell you that the wrong or right way is something you phisically feel... some friend up there said is like a kick in your gut... exactly that... you can perceive the good or the bad things...
It is an internal thing. You feel at peace/centered when you know you you read them right.
to be honest...if you feel your gut telling you not to do it...then dont, but more times than not you wont know til its done! People often say follow your heart or go with your gut...personally, I go with what Feels right to me...i guess its intuiation (spelling) or something!
its all in how you feel it.i get real bad headaches when i shouldnt do something.yet when i should i feel like im flying
I read your thread and it reminded me instantly, of 'intuition' and your gut feeling..
If you need to decipher.. imagine the choices you have... then depict which one appeals most to what YOU WANT or need.
I tend to trust my gut-feeling.
Make sure you think before you act.. and think twice.
Forgot to add, that the preminition part could be your sub-conscious coming forth, go with the thoughts.. and decipher as I aforementioned!
Hope it works out for you
If I think it's the right decision, I usually feel fine. But if I've made a decision that I think might be the wrong one, I'll feel kind of strange and doubtful.
this is such a good question!! i dont know a great way to tell u how to be sure ur making the right decision. i know what u mean when u say u feel it when ur decision is wrong. its like ur stomach tells u what the deal is. its ur gut feeling. when ur gut tells u is when u listen. ive learned that the hard way. i look forward to the responses on this one
Well unfortunately none of us can tell you the right way to trust anything because it is your own personal thing. Everyone is different, some trust their gut to do and some trust it to not do. So as you live and learn through trail and error you will find which way is best and which is warning you to do or not do. I myself find out that you have to trust yourself first then flow with it. Even if it is wrong then it is a lesson learned. Dear it is life One big lesson after another. Do not try to over think things it just confuses the situations. Just my opinion. I hope it helps you some. :)
It is highly personal when you get a premonition. It is nearly impossible to explain to anyone. So, the way you decide what do to with your premonition is your own choice.
Since it appears, from your first post, that you are looking for first hand experiences, I will explain what I do.
I review the premonition...who does it involve? Then I follow my heart and gut. It hasn't let me down yet.
Good luck on your journey.
It is always important to logically work your way through something. Set up boundaries of all possible roads of action, then use it as a backdrop when considering your premonition. If you are still not sure, discuss it with a close friend or family member.
With me I get this voice in my head that tells me,I don't always listen to it(and it gets me in trouble sometimes)but thats how it works 4 me...
i go by my gut instincts... if i ignore my intuition, i'm usually screwing up...
every night i dream and every time they realate to my life, what i do is just let them happen and wait for them to happen. if it is a crazy one i try to understand what it means but other than that i just relax.
i dont think noone can tell what comming about just go with the flow
for me it's all about knowing the slight differences.. in myself, my feelings, what's around me, who's involved
i recently had an instance that because i COULD be biased i fought my intuition for a long time, i knew it was correct... but i didn't want to tell one of the persons involved because of my being too close to the situation. i had to let them find out for themselves.
i was questioning myself a good bit at the beginning... but i know my reactions to things well enough to figure out what exactly is going on
my difficulties in dealing with my intuition is explaining WHY. i can never put it into words.
Hmm, ya i guess the more you listen the clearer things are.
The more in tune you are with yourself and the environment you are in, the more understading you can be- try meditation.
do u think you have the right choices so far go off of that
Premonition are not always meant to be a warning, but merely a glimpse into the future. Sometimes we do not have to make decisions, but rather follow our own instinct regardless of what we might see.
that's a good point thedame
it's very often not a choice
when it is i think someone brought up a very good point on meditation (can't recall whom)
that's an excellent way to figure out the right of things because you'll be focused, centered and open to yourself :)
all things happen as they should. alot of time regardless of the actions that you take to prevent them. all i can say is to do what you think is right, if it feels wrong dont do it, if you cant tell, and you do it and its wrong you learn from your mistakes and move on. trust in yourself, as you get older and have life experiences you start to learn better hoe to handle situations and what to do in them. ;)
Go with ur inner voice. Ur instincts. If it's telling u to do something then that's the right decision. If it's telling u not to do something then that means if u were to do it then u would be making a wrong decision. It's all about listenin' to ur inner self.
Go with the thoughts in your head. I have 2 besides my own...sometimes they drive me insane. But sometimes they are right. They give good advice.
I believe premonitions are a warning that you will have to make an important choice in the future.
Sometimes the premonition could give you a clue as to what choice you will make and if its the right choice for you to make at this time.
However I believe we have mulitple paths and the choices we make defines how were are growing. If we make a mistake its still a lesson learned and we become humbled or just know not to do that again.
So in saying so no matter what you choose whether it is right or wrong its a lesson you make. Yes listen to your instincts, and follow how you feel and listen to the words of wisdom that come from within. Never be afraid that you made a wrong choice. Guess thats what I am really trying to say lol.
I find that I will do the thing the feels right, but most of the time it doesnt, and Im afraid that if I dont do the thing that feels right, Im going to miss something that is right
Well there is your problem there KiwiKing, your allowing fear to set in and dictate to you your choices.
I generally let life run its course, even if a dream has told me what fates lay ahead of me.
Many have told me to listen to my instincts...what happens when you do listen and they are wrong?
I do not get much more then something will happen. So I just let things go and see if I spot whats up.
I'd say the only way of determining it is by using your instincts. And yeah, sometimes you'll feel like you may have made the wrong choice, but I find that things usually turn out as they should.
Very Interesting Thread. I was taught a very different view point when it came to premonition. In my case, what I see is not intended to be changed, only understood. Everything happens for a reason, and my premontition of an upcoming event, however painful, was given to me so I could mentally prepare, and experience the event with clarity and a mind and heart open to the process of learning that is my life. Its not always something easy to accept, but there is no right or wrong in the workings of the universe, there is only what is and we can either accept it and transend it, or not accept and spend our entire lives in a struggle we can not win.
There are some things in life that can't be changed or avoided while others can. You have to try to learn what things in your life can be alterd and the things that can't. If you are unsure about a decision try asking your parents believe it or not they were teenagers once too. If it's something you don't feel comfortable talking to them about find a responsible adult that you do feel comfortable with to talk about it. Weigh the advice they give against your past expiriences and your current feelings about it. Even then you will still make mistakes sometimes everyone does. When you do make a mistake try to learn from it. People tend to learn more from mistakes than success.
When I get that feeling of knowing.... then I must trust myself and do it. No regrets.
Regreting the things you do only makes you doubt yourself...
that is tricky, I myself have misinterpreted before and it almost cost me my relationship, so be careful, but if your certain of what is going to happen then try not to go that route, but if your unsure approach with caution
You cant always follow Your heart but the first gut feeling You get is the one to trust..Always feels a deja vu kinda feeling so i know it is the right path i chose
You never truly know, but you do know that you will do what you think is right. I think that people get premonitions of certain things only as they will make the right decision
it also depends on which road you want to take...
Do you want the road less traveled or the easy path. The wrong decision is not nesseasrily the wrong decision... it's just something you didn't think you were prepared to do.
A gut instinct or fear usually indicates that you think you are not prepared to handle an outcome... You could deliberately choose that path if you wanted to to conquer that fear. not everyone wants to spend time in gaol for standing up to someone in authority... but sometimes it's a choice you want to make despite your fear or perhaps in spite of it.
There is no right or wrong answer.
Life is more about excepting what has occured than regretting a flip, or even well thought out decision; and wisdom is simply the ability to ignore the lies our fears tells us.
Interesting...it makes alot of sence that our fear wants to dictate(sp?) the only thing we fear is fear itself.
I don't believe in fear but, when I get that weird feeling in the pit of my stomach about something, I don't do it.
I wish someone could teach me how to recognize my premonitions. So far all attempts to predict the future have failed, I can see it happen, but have no way to realize it until it happens, and then it is too late.
No one can teach you how to understand your own premonitions... you just have to figure it out on your own. Sure it'll take time but in the end it's gonna be well worth it.
^_^ I'm trying to help the best I can... Sorry if my advice sucks.. there's not really much that can be done though
no its helping everyone that has contributed has helped me alot!
I really wouldn't worry about whether or not you did the right thing based on premonitions. Live life without regrets! I have premonitions sometimes, I don't worry about whether they're "real" or if I'm supposed to follow them. I take them as fact and live accordingly.
go with your gut feeling specially if your getting more then one premenition on the same subject.
I allways follow my heart, never my head unless there is a clear warning sign. I am usually screwed up the ass with a large object. Such is life. I still try to do good. Karma, Baby... >:)
I go with my feelings and that is what is usually the right way with me.
its all about instinct my dear...
wicked kisses and blessed be, darla...
Jens go to a wiccan book store, they have book that tell you how to recognize your premonitions and decypher your dreams it's neat so check it out
i will have to look t he next time i go into a wiccan store
My heart rate speeds p when I am doing something wrong or chosingthe wrong path.
wow, thats weird because my friend and i had this conversation just yday...and i told her that "your right may be my wrong".... therefore, no one really knows what is right or wrong... but as long as you are happy...should it matter? or is that being to selfish?
I believe in the simple way. Whatever choice you make is a choice that has already been made for you. Whether it is right or wrong isn't a question, but a perception. You might do something and then regret it, but if you hadn't have done it would you be who you are today?
very true...some people believe that our lives are merely like a game of chess every move is done by someone elses decisions....but its not selfish to do what seems right to you but not to others.
just to let you know.. I did a study of my gut instinct.. it was only right 2/3rds of the time.. not super helpful, but more useful than just blind intuition.. i was marginally more right when i followed gut instinct.. I had to do a LOT of work/analysis to get at that though.. lol
D
for me, a decision is right when it solves my problem. i believe in the saying that END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS so even of something is unethical, as long as you achieve what you want, then it is right.
besides the objective of the problem is to solve it. but of course, i have to make up with something i did wrong right after i solved the problem
go with your first instincts. almost always... unless the instinct is to kill someone... then no
The more experience you have with a given choice (omen/coincedence/synchrodestiny) the better you get at it. I drove for 4 years without insurance or registration on my car (civil disobedience; I hate insurance companies), and never go tcaught. i always obeyed my gut instinct on routes to take to avoid police checks and spotting cops and when to stop speeding because I fealt a cop nearby.
The three times I ignored my gut instinct I ran into cops but talked my way out of tickets and 6 times I drove through checkstops with nonchalance knowing that they would not check.
I am not advocating breaking the law; but it did hone my intuition in many ways.
i would imagine you should follow your heart and that will lead you...its hard to tell but common sense plays a part in it too
Follow your gut, most of the time it will take you in the right direction
