I do not think that I am a vampire, I just came to talk to people and make new friends. I have already made two really great friends here and I feel as if I can tell them everything. As for what broguth me here, a friend introduced me to the site.

I was introduced to this site by a friend, and found it rather interesting. No, I do not consider myself a vampire, but I do enjoy the legends.

I joined because I like vampires, and because I was asked to check it out. What can I say, I'm addicted now. I like talking to people here. Not sure there should really be a reason, considering I'm sure most the reasons people have joined have already been written in here by the other members. It's cool, and I'm having a good time, that's all that counts as far as I'm concerned

I was looking for something different other than MySpace, Hi5, Pogo, etc.

I always liked the darker side of things and just felt at home right away here on VR.

It seemed interesting to me. I wanted to meet new and exciting people. This seemed like the perfect place so I joined. So far I am liking it here.

It's an interesting community full of fun and intelligent debate. I'm not into the myspace kind of "scene" and if you're not a teenager it's hard to find something that you relate to that caters to all types of people.

I joined the rave a long time ago..but my comp broke so i wasnt on for the longest time..and my account got cancelled so..here i am again..fresh start..i originally started cause a friend referred me..but also i have always been a big fan of vamps and werewolves..they fasinate me....i also love to see what others thoughts and beliefs about them are.

I joined the Rave to meet people like me and to find out things I didn't know.

I stumbled on it doing some research on vampires never seen it before. It is the first place I ever fit in anywhere.

Um just the word vampire pulled me in. LOL. I love vampires, I mean who doesn't on this website. LOL. Love the history and legend about them. Their just wonderful creatures of the night.

I joined because I wanted to meet others who knew about the occult/pagan or wiccan religon and who are like me.

I found VR by a friend. Though it was really a quick glance at the screen a few years ago.

One day for some reason it poped into my head and I went looking for it lol.


But I did come to be with people that would be more willing to let me be me. To let my darker side have some freedom. Me a vampire likely not any thing else about the same. But to learn, to help find myself, to find who I am and be around people that would be willing to let me grow. Plus when ever I am at my comp and have the ability to use the web I at least have it on, even if it logs me out.

I have some friends that are on here, and I was curious, so I joined and then I found that everyone was so nice and great to talk to. Unlike other places...so I stayed and now it just feels like home.

i was lead here by a friend. and i like it and knew i'd found a place to meet people into the same stuff i am and a place i could learn more about every aspect of the culture.

I wanted people to talk to, a place to write little diddies and it was 5 am and i was surfing the net.....pure luck hehe

i found it on a search engine when i was searching buffy and decided to give it a look.

I was just surfing and went on a vampire wave. I thought the name was catchy so I took a look. I find it very amusing, and easy to spend time here.

I joined VR because I was Told about it via Geo (thanks G-Boy). Mainly because I have 3 real life friends on here and it seemed a laugh to be able to mingle with them on here. To seek knowledge about others peoples trodden paths of the Darkness also really interested me. People fascinate me. I browsed the data base and the profiles, and then I joined up.

well, a close friend of mine told me about the site, so i checked it out and loved it ever since...and oh how time passed since... :-)

we, my b/f and i joined because we both love vampires. we love the look, even though we don't dress ourselves and we love what they symbolize. no, we do not believe in real vampires, but this seems to be a great site to meet some great people.

I have little interest in vampire or lycans or such but after being sent a postcard by a friend got chatting to some cool people and it's snowballed lol

If i remember good , i was on the net and search for a rave with people deguised on vampire theme like " blade ", i find this place and by curiosity i decid to rest on ;).

I enjoy this place because there are lot of nice peoples from different places, with interresting taste of think and i have to admit i love " vampire movie " since i'm young.

So i decide to rest for do my silly things here :P.

an ex told me about it

A friend of mine told me about the site. I joined this site for several reasons. I have always been interested in mythologies and vampires are among my favorites. I like learning and teaching and it is possible to do both on this site. I also enjoy debating subjects with similar minded people. As a living vampire its also comforting to know I'm not alone in the world. I think it's human nature to want to fit in or socialise and this is one place where I can fit in. Don't get me wrong I'm glad I'm not "normal" that is so boring lol but it's still nice to have a place to fit in.

My friend gave me the link to this site because she knew this was something that we both were interested in and I've been here ever since.

Joined because you can interact more with the members of this site compared to other site. Love Vampires, werewolves and some other things of darkness, but it doesn't have to be in a bad way. We can express ourselves here, no ridicules or feeling of being an outcast. Outstanding site.

My Guaardian brought me here. We're both psi and found it much more suiting to our taste than Myspace

I actually rejoined VR because I missed the interaction between the people/vampires on here. The first time I joined I was referred by SinisterSteve. But aslo because I have a fascination with Vampires.

I was turn on to the site by my best friend. so i tried it out and met several interasting people. so i desided to stay around a little longer.

my friend was on here and she told me about it. I signed up originally to get her the referral. I then started checking it out and seeing what all of it was about. I got hooked the first night. I love the coven that I am in and the people on here. I also liked making my profile. I learned alot about coding. I love it here. I refer to it as my double life. I have real life and I have vr.

this is an interesting thread to read. i joined vr for a few reasons. I have always been interested in vampires. I love the idea i love the history behind them and i jus want to learn everything there is to learn. i stumbled upon this site accidentally when i was looking up vampire pics and info at work. i was bored and my job blocked myspace. so i had nothing to do during the slow hours at work. when I found this site i joined because i figured i could read and rate in place of myspace bullitens. then i realized just how much more this site was than something to waste time. i have learned more here than most of my own studying. i have found a place where the real world can be paused and i can learn and live and breathe vr for a few hours. i have met real good people. and gained so much from something i thought was so trivial at first. its an addiction. and the ppl here are wonderful.

My interest in vampires goes back to early childhood. I do not consider myself to be a vampire nor are there any vampires in my family, but we do share a passion for knowledge about these marvelious creatures. (The real ones NOT Hollywood steriotypes)

I like VR because I can be me. I have goals here and I am among people of 'like' mind. I am dark, light and everythign inbetween. That is rare in this world. VR is truely a home. Oh and my friend financed my first membership and I was hooked...

Because my mother found it after watching a show on TV about real life vampires and it was accurate and we knew that what it said was not a lie and we were totally shocked to find out that we were some.

That show and this site have helped us understand ourselves a lot better and now i'm actually comfortable in my own skin.

I was introduced to VR though my daughter Vampiress25. I love the people here. It is definitely not myspace. I don't think I am a vampire but am interested in the renaissance era and find the history and books about vampires very captivating! :)

Originall I came to the site because someone asked me to join under them for referral pts. I decided to check it out....what the hell and when I did I was HOOKED! I feel so at peace and finally at home here. I feel as if I am surrounded by kindred spirits that understand me and what I am...at least to a degree. I love the pages I see here and the art work...I love the poetry and other writings. I just love all of it....coming here has helped me to become comfortable with a side of me that I thought I had to keep hidden to get by. I have now embraced it and live my life the way that I have always wanted and I am happier for it

I found this site by accident in december and have been here ever since. I was just looking for a place where my dark side was going to be accepted as well as my light side. It is always good to find like minded people and here I have made some of the best friends that I have now.

I found my life destroyed and was alone in the rocky mountains ….. I started to look for those like me …. And I found the Vampire rave ……..
