Has anyone ever had any signs in their dreams? Anything you've ever dreamed about happened to you in the future or has happened to you?
What are some signs in dreams? What do you look out for to know something good/bad might happen to you later on in life?
I have had reoccuring dreams .. I have had some messages in dreams some turn out others havent yet... One was a car accident my friend had..
Most of my dreams lately revolve around sex, but that is probably just a guy thing and other issues. But to the point of 'bad' things happening no, no so much. Had dreams of falling and whatnot but nothing really strange. I do think at times that other people I know have had those kind of dreams and have stated as much.
Deja Vu is another matter though, had lots of that. I could even tell you what is going to happen next in the sequence and it does. Weird I guess but it was not in a dream though.
I have had reoccuring dreams before that ended up coming true. It is something I have learned to deal with and watch for. I watch for all the little details to better help prepare me for what is coming.
One can get all kinds of signs from dreams. It is just a matter of recognizing these signs and deciphering what they could mean. A good sign in one dream can be a bad sign in another. There really is no set signs or definitions of those signs that I know of anyways. Carpe Noctem
I think that I may have dreamed about my daughter before I had her. I dreamed about a little girl when I was 18. I dreamed that she was about three with brown hair and I was playing with her. I can't be sure if that was, in fact, a dream of my future, but...maybe. I do believe you can have dreams that foretell the future. Sometimes I believe you have them and never even know it.
A while back, I dreamed that my dog had passed away in his sleep. When I awoke to find he hadn't, well I assumed everything was fine. I think it was around 10pm, I heard a bang & my dog making an awful bark. I went outside to find him in the road dead. He had been hit by a car.
it has never really happened to me that i can recall but if it does yall will be first to know
I really dont pay attention to that.
But I like to dream blondes,
and thats a good sign.
Signs in dreams are very common. I often dream about teeth, which is a sign of anxiety over your appearance, or being embarrassed in public. Both of which are quite valid for me. You can get books and visit websites to help you interpret dream signs.
I also very occasionally have "prophetic" dreams, where I dream a commonplace happening, then 6, 10, 18 months later it happens. Very freaky at the time.
I remember as a kid my grandparents came to visit us. The day they left I had a dream the night before that
my grand dad was slumped over the steering wheel of his car.
Two days after they left the police came around and told my parents my grand dad
died of a heart attack whilst out shopping...not sure
if it was a sign of my grand dads spirit saying his good byes...who knows
I have dreams that come true. I believe that dreams are most often, but not always, our higher mind sending messages to our conscious mind regarding our current situations. Sometimes when need to prepare for something our mind will give us very clear pictures of what is going to happen and so you have prophetic dreams.
I was taught that sex in a dream symbolizes the heiros gamos. So dreams of actually haveing intercourse symbolize that union taking place within oneself.
Yes i also have had dreams that went true later in life. This is somehow a strange fenomen and i dont know if it is possible to explain it.
I personally do not remember any types of signes that i have had in dreams, i may have had them and not remembered, i think one type of sign that people have is a dream that they have multiple times i think that that could be a sign of something...
I have had reoccuring dreams a lot, but never anything with signs. I mean I never dreamed anything that came true or any of that. Unless I have it was in the dreams I don't remember. In which case, I wouldn't know would I? So no, I've never actually had a sign in a dream or dreamed something and had it come true.
Yeah ive had dreams that really meant something. I suppose its how well you tap into them, some people dream of things and dont think about it after. For those who listen to there dreams theres a better chance of whatever happening to actually happen, like your willing it to do so.
The only example i can think of right now is when i dreamed that my friend picked a guy over me (I dont like losing my friends to assholes) Anyway, it resulted in a fight in which she "Died". After waking up i questioned it taking into acount this guy had the hawts for her. Anyway, in a sense my dream let me know that if they ever did get together i would be out in the cold to some extent but that i shouldent let my emotions get in the way as it could do more damage.
So yeah...Wonderful Discussion. *Passes on her cold to everyone* hehe
I do have a reoccuring sign which is a warning for me. If I dream about loosing a tooth or a tooth becoming loose I find it generally means I am about to have a problem with a friend or family member. I find if I lose the tooth then I will have a complete falling out and never have anything to do with the person again. If its loose and I push it back in and its ok again, then everything will work out.
This is a more common dream. I have other symbols that have meanings for me usually do to with what I am worrying about lol.
I've had several dreams become reality... my thing is that I have been trying to hone my lucid dream capabilities (spelling?) so that when this happens I can do something about it.... When the events happen I feel deja vu and then jump in and try to change the outcome most I come in to late.
I have had dreams about things that have yet to come some have come true but i always try to pay atention to different symbols and things around me in dreams to see what they mean. I find it sometimes hard to figuare out what they mean but a dream dictionary helps.
i've had no bad things happen from dreams but i have reoccuring dreams where i'm walking then stop, spread my arms and fly away. i wish that i could really do that.
the strange thing about the flying dreams is i've had them since i can remember and the way criss angel levitates is the same way i fly in my dreams.
This sounds like a mixture of the 5 other open dream threads. I'm not sure I'm awake enough to distinguish the difference between them all.
My answer to every single one of the threads about dreams: there is no substantial consenus on what we do when we are dreaming. Are we traveling to another plane? Are we just reflecting on all the sensory intakes that have recently occured? Are we seeing glimpses of the future? The past?
Whatever the answers maybe, the self will latch onto what they believe or fear the most. There is no science that explains how to categorize "signs" and what those signs mean. We are all just pontificating on speculation.
once in a while it happens .
it happens to someone else thou not the person in my dreams.
I have had dreams come true before but the dreams come for sometime..night after night before that happens. I have warning and therefore am prepared for what happens.
A friend from online passed away a few years ago, and I have found that when she comes to me in dreams, that something profound happens soon after, can be good or bad
most of my dreams revolve around current events that are going on in my life/with a twist tho...maybe the twist is a way to change or for see a different outcome
I once dreamt that a friend of mine, who is epileptic, were talking & he told me that if he ever had a seizure to stick something in his mouth to make sure he doesn't swallow his tongue. The next day I was in a training class for a job I had at the time & a guy there had a seizure. Other such things have happened to me but that's the one that stuck in my mind.
I beleive that if someone had a dream of a horse shoe hanging, means luck would pass on your way.
I have been having a dream at least once a month for about two years now. It involves me riding a horse up to an abandoned barn, then once I get off, look around, and go back outside, the horse is long gone and a white one with green serpentine eyes is in its place and it actually speaks! "Beware" it says. Is there a meaning? I would especially like to know why the horse has snake eyes......
I've had it happen lots. Mostly like bad omens though.
i have had many dreams that end up happening in my waking life good and bad. I usually consider them more a Deja' vue because they are exactly as I seen in my dreams.
every dream has scientific explanation.
no sign can be delivered in dreams for anyone.
Ever heard the scientific reasoning behind deja vu' ?????
Okay well here it is....scientist have recently discovered that deja vu' is simply a matter of second when the brain procceses something twice...thats why you get the familiar feeling because you have alreadu proccesed the scene...
Personaly I think thats a bunch of bs...scientist can not come up with any real evidence as to the reasoning behind deja vu' so they make up shit that people are gaulable to belive...
Why not leave mysteries on earth that few are lucky to experiance???
Dreams on the other hand seem to baffle scientist even more....dreams aparently is your brain going off into lala land while you sleep...you own personal fantasy if you wish.
I belive that dreams haveto do with the energy that your body and brain process that is aroound you as to what you want most or what you hope. Some people can pick up on others feeling and have dreamms about them...some can pick up of past and future energies and there for dream about them.....
Have I ever had something I dreamed about happen to me in real life? Yah...plenty of times...From a "believers" perspective they'd be called a premonition for anyone else...deja vu.
As I have noticed that the things I do get that sense about that i believe I dreampt about happening to me were mainly things that you do on a regular basis that you don't really seem to notice. Its like repeatedly seeing the same numbers when looking at a clock.
As for signs no not really. To even begin to understand certain things that would normally seem peculiar to someone in their dreams you'd have to know a lot about their meaning which to different people can be different things. Take the meanings of things in dream from the context of books. Many different things about different objects...some the same. How you'd figure out what each meant I don't know which I'm guessing is why the above is so.
Hi Master V.. dont no if i could help but i use to have dreams of falling and id wake up in a sweat and it would really scare the crap out of me. then also id have dreams of da ju vu and maybe i feel like id had a few of preminition ones were some one had came to me and said some thing was going to happen to a family member.. way before iy was sapose to happen so maybe that was some signs of something
I have had many health-related dreams over the years which came true. One recurring one was a tooth falling out, the same tooth in the same dream over and over..said tooth eventually had to be pulled, so I was prepared for it when it happened.
I find if you pay attention to health signs and omens in dreams it will be to your best advantage.
I do not remember my dreams really...but the ones I do remember have many meanings behind them
when i was a lil girl i had a dream that my dog went crazy and attacked somepeople and in the dream i lost him to decapitation.....a week later he snapped at a lil boy. and my parents gave him away to my uncle my connection is the attack and the seperation so to speak but i think it was a sign...
I think it is possible to see signs in your dreams. While dreaming, the subconscious takes over, so the mind is more subseptible to see such things. The signs could come in many different forms...ever seen a dream interpretation book? The subconscious mind is wonderous and mysterious.
Dreams are either premonitions, insight into your past life, or your inner feelings(subconscious), or they're just something that your mind makes up while you rest.
I've dreamt into the future, but didn't remember it until it happened, or didn't think it meant anything until it happened.
I've also had dreams that showed me something that I didn't realize, things about myself.
prophetic dreams occuremore often than most people think. i have had several my-self over the years and i am still having them....but its hard to tell which are prophetic and which are not.
Had a dream that one of my closest friends would do something to make me lose respect for him and two days later it happened.
thats happened to me..ut it happened ina weird way.. lol
Yesterday I dreamed bunch of coins falling in my pocket, out of nowhere.
I am hoping to win lotterie.
I believe that all dreams have signs in them. Sometimes you dont recognize them as signs until after something happens that maybe you should have seen coming if you had paid attention to what your dreams were telling you.
Dreams were among our first attempts at scientific study and control over our universe. Dreams transcend time, they are our collective unconscious, they can show us conflicts and ways to solve them, nudge you towards a question that needs to be faced or answered. I myself keep a dream journal, some of my dreams are self explanitory and some take a little research. Your unconcious holds many secrets.
even if they are like Deja vue' they still have a meaning we just have to know that meaning and why they are.
when an event is about to happen that changes my life completely either good or bad I usually get a visit from my someone in my past that has been dead for sometime...I won't know what excactly what will happen but I know it is usually pretty big and that it requires a lot to deal with on my part...
Yea, dreams are signs and this has happened to be before. But sometimes you just need to wait a while and pay attention to what is going on in life to understand the dreams
I've had dreams where I started talking to someone again in them and a couple of days later I would begin talking to them. Sometimes when I'm angry in my dreams I wake up and tend to have a bad day.
Like meeting someone you haven't see in awhile. Most broad meaning.
I have but they didn't involve me and I didn't know that at the time the dream came to me as a first person view but it happened to my brother and his friends at our vacation home they got thrown from the boat and cut by the prop. I saw it and I felt my brother pull me into the boat and head to shore and the water was so red.
I have had messages come through in my dreams....My sister in-law had a dream before my niece was born..in which the child in her womb told her her name...She had not known if her baby was a girl or boy at the time.. But when she told me the name I knew it was a sign...and that she was having was a girl...because the name had been my grandmother's name,,,My sister-in-law had not known my grandmother nor her name... My niece is named for my late Grandmother...and it fits her well
My 4 adult children and I all have the power to "see" in our dreams. It can be a good thing or a hindrance. Signs in your dreams to me are things that you just can't shake upon waking. These things should not be treated lightly. I don't think that there are specific signs as each of us dream differently. But I think people should pay more attention to dreams.
With my dreams I usually dream about things that have happened to me in the past. I think that these dreams help warn me and train me so that I don't have to go through the bad times again.
I find that some of my dreams, when not about the past, are a good sign of what is to come in the near future.
I pay attention to what i feel during my dream. Sometimes it's a clue of what i am neglecting to feel while i am awake. sometimes it's a realization of a fear or want. Colours are a big thing. Each stands for an emotion or event. This is why only you can interpret your dreams. what one colour may mean to you can mean a totally different thing to somebody else.
For example. Once i had a dream in which i fought a group of faceless humans. Each human was wearing a deep red sweater.
The way i felt while fighting them was a sure sign of what i wasn't letting out when i was awake.
The sweater was one that used ot belong to my father.
And the colour meant extreme anger, fear and shame.
Anything in a dream is relative, and personal.
I have this kind of dreams:
places I never saw (Venice) and three months later got there and they look exactly like in my dream (colors, design, even scent),unknown people I meet after that, events. There are some signs also.
Not every dream is a premonition though. Some are false, others can be interpreted only by Freud perspective.
There are just too many to describe them here. :(

With my dreams... if it is a constant reoccurring dream then I know it is of a past life.... I also look for omens in my dreams, and things to come, but those are harder to grasp onto for what they are.
you dreams tell you lots of things or as you say give/show you signs.. there are many great books out there that will help you understand what your dreams are telling you
At times (not very often tho) my dreams tend to deal with effects on other people or places, and there usually is a 7 - 10 day span if it's going to materialize.
i haven't myself i have had some come true but my brother dreamed that i was in an accident and i was so that was kinda weird. but i have had a few that came true when it came to relationships
If there are signs in my dreams, I don't usually figure them out until after I have had something related to that dream occur. It doesn't happen very often either for me. It's seems to be a rare occurance, but when it does, it tends to be important.
As many have already said, I usually don't over think my dreams unless for some reason I remember every detail of them or if something happens that I can relate them to. Sometimes I hold myself to my dreams, just for the slight chance that something might happen in my life that without me noticing and jumping for it, I would loose even though the dream warned me to look for it. Then there are some times when I think that there isn't any possible way that dreams could relate to real life. But then again, the world is a strange place filled with mysterious that I still know nothing about.
i've had some dreams that have repeated during my life... some of them good others bad, but i dont think they are premonitions...
they start the same way and also end up the same way....
you should get a dream book, because only those dream psychic people can truely see what their dreams really mean. other peoples dreams mean something totaly different. i had a dream that my boyfriend was cheating on my and when i looked it up in the dream book it said that he really actually loved me very much and would never do such a thing.
I've had weird premonition type things in dreams before.
I've dreamed about a certain situation & then a few days later, even months later it's happened. I think on my behalf it could be coincidence, or maybe Im just not open minded enough to think it's a sign.
I think that a sign in your dream is either a warning or trying t tell you that something goos is ging to happen.
I think dreams are our subconcious speaking to us and that our subconcious is not bound by time or space so we can have visions or future or past events in our dreams. I think this is directly connected to deja vus and why we sometimes feel like a moment in time is being repeated.
I get signs in just about every dream about ppl all over the world; not just around me. i haven't even met but ppl i've connected with on a certain emotional level. Pay attention to the smallest details.
I have had dreams where i was pregnant ,which is impossible, and then it turned out my close friends were pregnant. Other dreams i have had were actually a form of esp. If i happen to remember my dreams they usually mean something so i try to remember them.
i cant really relate to anyone here b/c i have dreams and then they occur-oh and women dream things that revolve around sex as well. i rarely have dreams that dont occur so naturally i freak when something bad happens-like i dreamed one timea child was in a burning house screaming and the next day i was freaked and watched a movie called "the five people you meet in heaven" and it turned out as the girl in the movie during the war. it scared me though and it happened.
I believe i have, although insignificant I accasionaly have dreams about small events in a day and then maybe two or three weeks later they happen.
example: Im walking in the mall talking to a friend and every thing in visual sight and sound happens just like in the dream.
But that s about it, nothing dramatic.
I know my dreams are gonna come true when I remember them. I have never remembered a dream that hasn't come true. My mom told me that it runs in our family.
Yes, this happens to me a lot actually. Dreams can tell you a lot about yourself and the things that you are going through subconciously. When we are asleep we are much more vulnerable. So, your mind creates images, sounds, smells or certain places that might take effect in the future, past, or present. Also, they might be called premonitions--you dream about something and it may happen, whether it be insignificant or much more important. Our dreams are vital to us. We can use them to help ourselves, or other people.
i feel like the soul actually travels and gets a lot of work done while i'm "sleeping". perhaps a lot of what we perceive in dreams is really going on on another plane of reality.
Every now and then I do have dreams that are more premonitions.
The last one I had was at the beginning of the month where I dreamt about the number 6 and Australia's biggest horse race of the year was two days away so I put my bet on number 6 and it won even though it wasn't a favorite.
i have dreams about who i'm going to meet in the future. thats about it.
You know and the fact that you always wake up before you die in a dream.... would you really die if you were to die in your dreams?
I always listen to my dreams, because some times there are things in life that don't come to light until I'm asleep. Which could be explained scientifically. Since our brain is the ultimate computer.
But spiritually, I have a strong dream connection with my family
to be honest I can not remember most of my dreams. If there is any signs in them I hardly ever know.
Oh my yessssssss. And it hard to explain it in word's but gonna try my best and not sound stupid..lol .. I have had it where something happen's and I know it down to last detail it like I had seen it in a dream? Dont know that best way can put it. But it happens to me alot.
I have never noticed signs in my dream, I woudln't know what to look for, but maybe certain dreams can tell you of something that is going to happen and has not yet occured.
Oh another thread about dreams......
Yes I see signs in my dreams some times. And some times I see them when I'm awake. I hate when that happens. It's creepy to be talking to some one and see some thing that no one else can see. It makes you look nuts. lol
yea we al have some kind of dreaming and some of it is crazy ...
I've had several signs in dreams. Dreams have told Me certian things I'm going through, as well as things to come. Have brought back past things, and shown Me several things about the past, present and future.
I've had dreams where I've awaken the next day to see the VERY thing I dreamt on the news. I dang near spewed coffee all over the floor when I saw it.
Dreams, if listened to by your heart, can tell you things you never thought possible.
For example. If you're being chased it often says you're either running away from something or running to something.
That's just a Minute thing that can be told Us by Our dreams. While not all dreams tell of the past present and future, many can tell you things you didn't know about yourself.
Remember dreams are your subconsciences way of telling you things you don're realize consciencely.
There are many out there that can interpret dreams, and I'm not saying anything against them or judging them, what I am saying though is listen to the dreams yourself. Find out within yourself what the dream is telling you. Often times it helps to write dreams down. It gives your conscience mind a chance to see exactly what it is your subconscience is telling you.
It works, I've done it!
Good luck.
like premonitions?..Yes i have had those, the last one i had it was about getting sick and then the next week i got sick, i kno it sounds dumb but i have had a few others but there long and sort of complicated..
here's one for ya i just had a dream about going on a cruise with my ex-wife... and she was actualy treating me like when we first started dating. odd huh
as long as I can remember I've always had something come true from my dreams either their good or their bad .. and yes i believe that their are alot of signs in dreams you just gotta know what to look for
i have dreams that often happen in the future, once i dreamed of standig on top of a wall while i was mentoring at a camp and i thought that will never happen because ia m afraid of heights, but later that summer i was up there encouraging a 9 yr old that she could climb up. never really had and bad dreams that happen like a car crash or something.
I have have a deam of escalators going every way taking me to every event of my life, what do you think???It has been a reoccring dream since since childhoood!!!
For me dreams range in intensity and when they are really intense is when they tend to be something that I watch out for something to happen. And more than not it does and comes on like Deja vu. Or it is something that I end up warning someone else of something I seen
I think all dreams are full of signs and meanings. The signs meanings are individual. I write my dreams down in a journal and go over it at a later time to understand what my subconscious is trying to tell me.
I once dreamed about a house on a plot land, when I told my friend about it she told me I had just described her mother's home in the country side! which is odd because I have never been to her mother's home before.
I dreamed, a few years ago, of meeting a friend, before I had met her, and a couple of months later we became best friends.
