what do you believe happens once we pass into spirit?
I believe that our souls join those of our family and the people we loved but passed before us,an that our journey continues in spirit.
I would love to know what every one else thinks about this subject.
me i think our souls jump from bodey to bodey keeping the memorey of who we were and what we learned in the other life
I think our souls once the body they are occupying has passed, they move on and are born into a completely new body. :]
I don't believe that our souls or "spirits" go anywhere, once you are deceased thats it. Just my opinion.
yes i believe our souls will be here after our bodies are laid to rest and we will as souls go to where our loved one are and then either stay here and complete the unfinished work we have here and then join them.
pandorabx thats why I posted this thread, I wanted to know what every body thought. =)
I believe that before we go into the tunnel of the white light all of the karma that is in our soul, we feel. Then as we go through the tunnel of the light we are met by those that has passed over before us.
I can't believe that at all --- I think some people are strong enough to leave apart of themself've behind -- but in most you just turn into nothing -- People can't handle that concept -- and need something soothing to believe in ...
I think our bodies die but our spirits will go on and be joined with those that have passed before us
You're dead. Your soul gets reborn as someone new, but you're still dead.
Death is only the begining. Death is only a transition. Even in science, energy cannot be created or destroyed therefore the soul will never die and will be embodied in the next avaialble costume it can fit in.
You become part of the energy system that runs through the universe again.
I think some spirits are stuck here, while others go on to be reborn in a different body. The time intervals between inhabiting one body and the next vary, so the spirit/soul resides in a different plane until rebirth.
I should have tagged on that I feel death, rather than being a new start, is actually a continuum.
I believe that we go to a place with spirits like oursleves. Kinda like a heaven i guess. Im not really sure, but sometimes i also feel like maybe we don't go anywhere...and we just...disappear.
Im wondering if our Astro signs tells us where we might be on the spectrum....
Native Americans such as my self believe that death is a reward for a long fulfilled life.. So maybe it’s a new beginning or just a rest to do it all over again……….
who really knows? it's all up to interpretation and belief systems.

Is death a new start?
Yes... for bugs, and worms, and plants that are nurished by dead, rotting organisms.
For the creature that died.. no, sorry, it's the end.
I picture the soul as a finit' minral gas at the core of our being another finit gas at the head of our being ...aligns the matter around it.the resonance of energy between the two is determined by the carrier of the soul .
When the frequency is disturbed it scatters, into a dimensional horizon stream particles remain with our loved ones with static of us each person remembers us as we appeared to them.So I think when I die I become a infinite speck in the soul of others that even when they pass i am with them in part.
Now theres an interesting train of thought Dabbler..yes..
I like it
so perhaps it is best to live in a manner that does not hinder the "pulse"created by the soul.Taint or things that do not contribute to the flow need to be purged to assure dispersal of the frequency through out the host.
The "brighter" soul the more likely the host will be a beacon to others who suffer congested vibration.
most interesting concept Dabbler ...
I think I agree more with Wolfspirits though ... who really knows ...
but I also dont think it all ends straight up ... for some at least ...
I feel that perhaps the "soul cloud"is capable of renewal and becomes more refined and "purer"with each embodiment.Beliefs i feel manifest the souls course like a steering by acceptance to entrust the course of our soul what it gravitates to is what it is pre-aligned with
in our consciousness (which acts possibly as a "rocket"
prearranged to carry the "cargo"to our designed afterlife
or plane.
I think so. Once the body is laid to rest, the spirit / soul is free to roam...maybe even reincarnation.
I don't like to think once you are dead, that's it, there's just nothinness and darkness.
We will be thrown back into the "wheel of death and rebirth".
I believe we die and are reincarnated until through a series of lives and learning our spirit being reaches a level of knowledge that allows movement from this cycle to be with the Universal Source.
The body passes the Consciousness dissipates so yes I agree that is it for You the I.That soul cloud particle and where it goes could depend on the frequency it resonated with on earth.Various things we do to enhance our souls or harmonize with others Hell to me is where you "go"when you are sink to a sluggish frequency.
seeing is believing for me. so i believe that after we live -- we rot, nothing more. unless cremated then don't even get a chance to be worm food.
I think we actually make a choice of what happens to us after death, be it heaven, reincarnation, simply ceasing to exist, etc.
yes it is because then i can haunt people i really don't like .
I have believed all of these at one time or another. And it bugs me that we don't know for certain. That is why I ghost hunt and study the afterlife, and ask so many questions. I want to know. Since my Mom passed, it's even more important to me.
I think it varies from person to person. I believe in reincarnation, but I don't believe that it happens to everyone. I also agree with RavenEyes. I think that, to a point, we choose what it is we do. I say to a point because I think that if you die at either an extremely young age, or die without learning what it is you were supposed to learn, you end up reincarnated.
I believe we reicarnate. I do believe it's possible that not all of us reincarnate and that some of us have something else that happens to us after death. (Like a heavenly place.) But reincarnation is my main belief. It is the only thing that makes sense to me. After all, everything on earth is recycled in one form or another, including energy.
i just got online and i totally agree with dabbler...you are soo right.
I believe that our soul passes into another form and continues to pass along the knowledge gained and of course gain more.. I believe it is a continuation of the life we were already leading.
I think our souls leave to move onto another host so in a way death is kind of like starting over
Once you reach death, You are starting a new life in a new form..
* Death Is only the beginning *
I believe that when you die, your soul is reborn into another living thing, could be human or animal
I believe death is just a door to the next level.. and I believe you can choose to come back for another go around..
it can be depending on your beliefs and iyt could be a very dark painfull eternity
it depends on how you die' you cant kill your to get a new life.
i believe that we all have souls and our souls live on forever. that is why there are good people and bad people in the world. When we die, our souls pass on into a new life and we are reborn, like reincarnation. i dont think we just die and rot underground, and i know too much about astronomy to think there is some big place in the sky called heaven. sorry if that offends you...
Depending on how we die, I beleive we are born again and live out other lives, and I beleive the people we love and families are always connected with us, we find each other in each life, unless a spirit is taken by trama quickly, then I beleive that spirit stays with it's family trying to acept what has happened, or looking out for there loved ones, cause they are not ready to move on.
I also beileve we go on in spirit form, having passed on once myself, a truly interesting experience near death is.
in most faith's yes it is ...but some say you never really die..your spirit roams the earth forever..
In a word yes.
But written as such seems to make the prompt of such a trivial nature. Perhaps it is a new start, but where and how do you begin again, or perhaps more appropriately why. For me it was the sins of my past, which finally caught hold of me albeit briefly. So perhaps for atonement this would best explain my nightmares which are my own past.
i think our soul jumps into an unborn baby and we're born again
I think the soul moves from body to body but doesn't carry on the knowledge of the person before the current body. That's why we have to start all over as children.
I believe there is some form of connectiveness and fabric to the human fiber, but not in the sense of a spirit or soul. Very similar in concept that all material objects have DNA that define it...that unity in the very DNA that connects us together. I think that there is a similar concept in the human fiber outside of the physical body.

If the baby is unborn its not a baby. Its a fetus.
i trully believe that we all get some sort of fresh start after death.its all in the matter of perspective.
I believe death (as in a person died of natural causes or cancer, etc) is exactly like life but in it's opposition.
When someone is murdered, or committed suicide, then it all ends. There is a natural order to things, if that order is stopped or altered in any way, things change.
I believ as we pass and our spirit becomes free it is put back to he start of our life to relive the events that where once more
I think that we only rest when the energy of our spirit is used up. Otherwise we keep living and living.
It is my belief that when we pass on we do continue to live in spirit & seek what we miss & the mistakes we made in the flesh.
Really and truly, is life after death a surreal imagining? Yes, I want to believe along with millions like me that the spirit stays alive after mortal death, but I think that is faith issue.
Why is the faith matter because as long as they believe they shouldn't be classified on faith.
I would like to hope that there is another world or life after death, but im the type of person who needs proof to believe in something. I cant have blind faith like many do but i have yet to find any proof that there is an after life but i hope someday i do.
This sort of reminds me of a question asked a while ago, in any case I say the same thing now that I said then, I believe that once we die, thats it. There is nothing else for us.
Being a new convert to Wicca, I say look to nature. Everything is cyclic and is recycled. Why not your soul and spirit?
I dont believe in a spirit persay, just energy, held in our blood, that runs out after we die...but if that energy is extra strong, perhaps like in a vampire "soul", it can attach to another life and become even stronger and live on in another person, hence why some people claim they can remember things that never happened to their physical bodies...
The concept of a soul is still a touchy subject with everyone. I mean, how would be even able to judge if a person has a soul?
Well I say the soul is without doubt one of the greater mysteries we have yet to dicover the truth.
Now as to us being able to tell well I would say you would feel a lot more empty if you didn't have a soul or energy.
I think it could be. There are some things that people just knw and some things that bring back a memory from a past life. Sure, death can be a new start.
Does anybody believe that you can choose to be a animal when you die if you want?
Personally I believe that my soul will journey to a place and I will live on in spirit there. I hope to have those that I love and who have loved me and passed from this world, waiting for me there.
I belive in re-incarnation so i think that once we pass away we are born into another body and we live another life, not remembering our past

If you believe in karma, there's a possibility you could come back as an animal [wouldn't have a choice though].
Death for many religions and cultures has a different meaning. I would like to think of it as a new start of either moving up to another level or reincarnation and coming back to earth to start over.
this is a very intresting topic some religions believe that we get reincarnated after we die and continue on with life. Some believe that after we die that is the final journey and our souls go onto wherever it was meant to end up example heaven or hell.Me personally I believe in reincarnation.
Well, I personally believe that we are reincarnated. But then again wouldn't this make a good poll?
Kage -
Probably. But then again there are many other things that the starter of the poll might not think of to put in it.
our physical bodies die but our souls go on to find another host
Our bodies are but vessels that transport our souls through time.
I too believe that we go to our familes and live on through our spirit and we start a new life in that form
It depends on various things, your belief system, your motivations at the time of death...
in think it is since i believe in reincarnation so you have a fresh start on your new life :)
Ive thought about it a lot and have come to the decision that I will not decide what I believe until death claims me. I may believe something will all my heart and soul but I will never know for sure whether or not that is what truly happens after death.
