what do you all think area 51 real is and what do you think they really keep there that its so great to keep people out of it

it was the testing site for the now famous stealth B-2 freedom bomber and the even more famous stealth F-117A fighter.....

but I have no idea if any of the UFO stories are true.

I have always heard stories connecting area 51 with UFO s, either a captured spaceship, or the bodies of aliens,
My only problem with aliens making so many visit to our planet, if they are more intelligent as we assume them to be, would be, why, why , why, why visit a backward planet with so many backward idea, are we their sitcoms? their very bad movies? their soap operas?

I know for a fact that area 51 exists there are a few airforces that use the various ranges there for weapons testing.

As to the other stuff ufo's aliens etc.. i have an open mind, there are a lot of unexplained things in the world both natural, super natural and in some cases i believe extra terestrial.

It's definitely there but none of us possess the proper clearance to know what the hell is really in there :P

It is an airbase that has been used for R&D since the 50s. It is a secret base so if they catch you in there the military guards may use "deadly force" to dispose of you . A lot of rumers are out there about the place, much of it fueled by science fiction and speculation. Some think there is an alien spacecraft hidden there, or parts of one from the Roswell UFO incident, and that there might be some alien artifacts, or aliens themselves.

reguardless of whether Area 51 is real or not what's true is that there's something there that a lot of people don't want to come to the surface.

I have talked with many people from the area, and they have told me it houses a large facility underground where experimental aircraft are. It’s a military base, Roswell gave it the legend it has today, alien technology; its very possible, we have made some interesting leaps in our flight programs, but we are to meant to know what’s there for a reason, its top secret and people squeal for the right amount of money.

As far as the UFO stories go, wouldn't any aircraft that uses technology unknown ot the public be considered by definition a UFO? I heard a rumor a few years back that most of the R&D has been moved to a new site in Utah because of all the publicity and attention at Area 51 but i have been unable to verify anything further.

It is a military testing ground. Because of the secret surrounding the base ppl make up their own mind what happens there. It is proberly the most famous and known secret base in the world.

I believe it to be there.. Ive heard so many stories about it.. I know its a testing sight for advanced jets, but as for the ufo's, I believe in ufos but Im still weary of the fact their hidden there..

I am also sure that there is many things going on in area 51. we do need a place to research other things or we would never win a war.Some things need to be secret. it was wars with bow and arrow to guns to nuclear war heads. when one finds out then others follow. if it was meant to be equal ground then why not fight like WWI1 and not invest all time and money in advancing weapons. If there is ever a war with aliens then we need to have weapons to fight back and maybe that is why they come here to see what we have and what they need if we ever go after them.

It is only a top secret base. So secret everyone knows about it lol. There area rumours about a spaceship that crashed was taken there and ever since then ppl believe it is hiding alien technology. The only way we will know for sure if this is true is when the base opens up to the public.

"Area 51" is real beyond any doubt, I get updated satellite images yearly. In the past, the base was heavily involved with the development of aircraft and certain weapons systems but today most of the activities there are computer based and auxiliary.

As far as UFO's etc. are concerned, IF, the US had any the base may have some knowledge of it but it is highly doubtful theres anything of physical substance there. The whole thing about it being some secret base for UFO work comes from it's secret nature and it's involvement during the Cold War. The government doesn't help the situation by denying, confirming and then denying it's existence but again, aliens....I doubt it.

All that denial and comfirmation has been unraveled, a one time civian contractor, the guy that boasted rubbing shoulders with upper brass, he caught the attention of a journalist once, sometime around the steath bomber developement, the tracking process was connected to his area of research, he went to brass and mentioned the guy wanted info on his project, the brass chuckled and said"Tell him you are reverse engineering
unidentifiable parts to a craft that doesn't exist on earth.." The journalist ran with it, eventually hounding the poor contract guy, in public about his statement.. sometimes even mocking him in print. See what a little prank can cause, a national Urban Legend.

There is a place just outside Moscow Russia doing the same research with UFOs an jamming devices. so we not the only one in this program.

I like those people that say.. the government needs to answer questions, ok they have , a few times, yet those that have invested interest(books, seminars, and conventions, they seldom answer the questions about their sources, they are exposed as "trimmers" and they strike at those that they once bolstered their stories on, the retired officers have told all, yet those that hound this "Dead Horse" spin the response to their wish, So if they say something that is off script they take it out of context.. people that listen to those burned out hacks should read-up on their sources..

I know area 51 is real... try getting debriefed for 2 days on what you did not see... even though you really did not see anything....

As for Area51, it is a place where they are testing alien technology, wich humans got thanks to that UFO crash a while ago, or more of the same technology which humans got thanks to making some certain agreements with the alien life after, when engaging a direct contact by some means unknown to us.

Certainly that is all kind of scientific research, and experimentation going on in there, and a lots of plans for the future.

I think there are space craft alien that is, also where they test the efects of biochemicals on humans so when ever a person goes missing thats where they go, unless they clone them.

As far as letting the general public know what is there would be a matter of National Security. If we know what is there then the whole world knows what is there. The fact remains that they are keeping it a secret and will continue to do so.

ok so lets say you have an top secret base, and you want to keep it hidden away. Area 51 is not very hidden, but perhaps they want our attention on it, becouse the true base is hidden away some where else..........and everyone is so busy watching area 51 why would we care to look elsewhere. To many people watching ruins the pot. All real info/materials were moved out months after the papers hit with "weather balloons". We have lots of inground posts through out the USA. So who knows were the all are.

They actually have said just that, the base was stepped down in classification as well, the only, I repeat the only sources to any info for alien craft comes from either the one time contract employee, the journalist, and a tabloid writer that hacked the journalist office, retired military officers are hounded by this washed up morons who seek only to pump their books.. so please go buy their books and believe what you want, and buy all the books that "expose the exposers of their hoax built on a prank statement.. this is not the smoking gun.. If you really want to see Area 51, get a clearance join the military. And once you do get there, and find that it is indeed just a base, you may find that even if you tell people it is not what they think, you are likely to find that they will call you a lier.

The only stories I've heard are of Area 51 being some sort of UFO testing facility or something. Don't know for sure of course, but I'd say that's probably the more entertaining theory, lol.

I can answer the "why so secret" thing pretty easily...to protect us and keep our military advantage.

People often over look the fact that without secrecy we'd would have been torn apart in WWII. I know some people think nowadays that the "bomb" was a bad thing but just think if the technology had leaked out before the end of the war...do you not think our enemies would have used it on us?

I know several things that go on specifically there and I can assure you that it's worth protecting. And don't forget that most military technologies come into the public domain after 10-15 years, GPS used to be classified remember?

The only people more intent on government secrets is the tabloid writers, and they stake out the homes of contract workers that work on other bases as well. They are skilled at Name dropping, and wording presented questions to officials, questions that anybody would brush off without answering, dirty journalist have done this for years, the ones that write "Non fiction books" with parts that are likely from fiction, that would be plagerism .. beefed up with "exposes.. sure they are out to make people believe their crack pot is full of facts, they would be laughed at if that happened..

Wouldn't area51 be housing UFO's (by definition UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT) regardless of the scenario.....either way you look at it

The "UFO'S" I beileve are our own military planes. They've had phasers, as in star trek, on their tanks for a number of years so anything is possible there.

i cant say for sure what is in there but its hard to believe there are aliens because if aliens are as smart as we seem to think they are then i dont think thay wouldnt wreck...

I would first think on that the Area51 is an underground facility, and with that, it has much that we cant see.

I think our government test things in area 51 and they are trying to avoid exposing people to stuff if what they are testing fails. I am not saying chemical or bio hazard but you don't really want a new plane with explosive testing over your house do you just in case it crashes or launches the missiles.

That would explain the UFOs which have been seen there, and that they exist. The logical course of a thought immediately brings up the question of the whole Alien-contact affair, and we know how huge it is, being completely denied to us.

What is exactly going on, why is it being denied to us, and what exactly.

We know that the whole truth would certainly shatter the whole society system, and what it is doing, and that is that there is no research with out their own ever contributing working hands, which are building the whole society with their work at the first place.

To keep our military advantage, is equal absurd state of facts. There are more than couple of countries out there which have equal advantages, and their own secret programmes as well. It is not astonishing in any way. There is nothing to protect us against either. All these countries collaborate and function in a co-existing market.

Are 51 is real, it's a real place. What they keep in there are futuristic projects and objects, ones that people, today, will not be able to handle. That is why all access to Area 51 is unavailable to your average person.

The image encompasses the main part of the base the other areas are just radars and security checkpoints etc.

Unless the UFO is small it could not fit inside the buildings shown. Yes "Area 51" has many underground places but it is possible to determine the size of them by ventilation shafts, mountain heights and geologic features.

I say there are no UFOs there simply because I know (to a degree) what goes on there. I'm not denying or confirming UFOs in our possession but there are far better places than Groom Lake to have them.

Alien Craft, or extraterrestrial craft would be a more in context use for this thread, their are as stated above unidentifiable craft on the base, things that perhaps fly in different ways that we are researching, but all are made by earthlings.. one is a radio controlled High G-Force recon probe..

I absolutley agree with Bones. The government stumbled upon the perfect smoke screen & conspiracy theorists (nut-jobs) stumbled upon the perfect fodder.

What kind of aircraft research?

Well I know it's real, you can see it from space on google earth. haha....and I think my Dad has been to one of the buildings there, as he is a truck driver that involves environmental waste and has seen all sorts of things in his travels.

Area 51 does exsit..it's called Nellis Air Force Base :P Area 51 refers to the land survey of the location, it was in grid 51.

As for the photo unless I'm working for the gov. I think the pic is real, after all it does come from my organization.
You can search for the Soviet spy images of the base in the 60's and you'll see it's real.

Well I do believe that area 51 is hiding a deep dark secret. I think the stories of a UFO crash are real stories maybe embellished a bit but still real.

My father was in the Australian Navy and once they pulled into the San Franscisco harbour and in the naval dock area a silver disc shaped vehicle rose up from behind the ships and hovered there for several minutes and then went back down again.

All film, film camera's were confiscated later and they were told they didn't see what they saw or they would be discharged!

Now where did they get the technology to create that? I think the answer has always been in area 51.

i don't know if any of you have seen Steven Spielberg's "Taken" mini series, but it deals with the government hiding alien activity. i don't know if it specifically deals with Area 51 but it was a very interesting series to watch. i think that the government would go out of their way to hide stuff from the general public but that doesn't necessarily mean that Area 51 has any alien connections. the gov could just be using that hype to do other research and hide something else with the alien coven.

i lived in las vegas, which is the closest city to the enterance of area 51. i lived about a mile from where the workers would drop off their cars and get on a bus that transported them down there. it is very real. if you go to google earth and look up crop circles around the area, there are many very large ones. you should also take notice that these circles are far away from where any human can reach, nowhere near any road system.

so what you're saing is that the whole thing is real. that's a definite possibility. i'm not discounting that.

I think this area was only a military area, where test are done and many researches are done. Also there is a warning sign saying we can get shot on sight.

Those "crop circles" at Area 51 are actually bombing targets. China Lake in Cali has a few 1.5-3 miles in diameter.

I think it happens to be one of those "It-Should- Have- Been- Fiction thing. Just like a lot of things that are launched by Tabloids, once Roswell was fading, the journalist needed new grist, along comes a jovial contract worker, who was associated with other highly classified projects. Then brass gets implicated, a Breach of Procedure Case is opened (going through the routines with no expectations of formal action) when the articles started to appear in Tabloids, so the journalist was requested By the Air Force to disregard the statement as a prank, did he? No he co-operated with another hack (a writer) and former Roswell hard Liner.. and the rest..? Well people are still eating steaming plates full of the rehashed remains. Even a Front page print-out by the tabloids couldn't change those convinced.. if they opened a tour of Area 51 people would press with their hope of aliens

They never would be able to, Here is why, even the most top secret projects are off limits to say 75% of any base, now add secret projects as well, splice in contract employees, that leaves a good amout of people with access to Top Secret areas, those people are called to secretcy only by ethics, meaning they are trained that if anything is suppressed without reasonable mention.. people are more bound to tell, if not outside or civilian persons then personal .. it would leek very much, in all the years it would have been blown open, the money anybody would have made, screw keeping secrets, especially after only being a contract employee.. and offered the Imunity route (which one journalist promised the Prank Statement making contract employee.. see if you take your eyes of the smoke and mirrors you might see you bought a crafty illusion, and not think Crafts exist there..
