I was recently at a Horror and Paranormal Convention and they had these cameras that took pictures of your auras. I found this odd. Now I know that the paranormal have all this equipment now. But when I asked the ones doing it if they could see auras they said no but the camera could.

Now I have know people who could see auras and they could do it from birth. I have often wondered if this is something you can learn to do or are you just born with it and what are your thoughts on the camera?

I believe we are born with this sight and many other gifts. But as we grow and develop and the brain matures it starts shutting down areas that are not used on a regular basis.

Think about it we only use 10% of our brains, so what is the 90% capable of doing?

ok that's really interesting, maybe because i'm a photographer...

do you happen to have any examples of what the camera captured?
i'm going to go do some research on it, since i've never heard of a camera having that ability

I recently attended a class on aura reading. I would say I had some results though not strong.

I have always heard we all have these abilitiies we just don't work with them enough. It would be like going to the gym to workout. The more consistent you are the better the results.

I had an aura pic done of me a very long time ago and would love to be able to get it done again. MY gf she can sees auaras, although she doesnt seen them in color she sees the outline/ As she is a reiki master helps her to see where the chakaras are unbalanced.

I do associate people with colors.. I recall the emotion of the event and I have a hard time recalling the words of the conversation.

Now which colors I associate I would assume are arbitrary, because color inherently has no emotion.

These things are also tied into emotional IQ.

It was not a normal camera. And I did see some of the pictures that they had taken. They mostly looked liked pictures of people with blurs of color in front of them. I was not convinced. I do then to be a bit of a skeptic when it comes to mixing technology into things. But then I guess that is one of my questions could it work?

I feel that it is a birth gift that can be trained out, as far as the camera, I personal feel it is a hoax, some kind of camera that generates random color fields.

I think that you're usually born with being able to see it, but I mean, if they have the ability to with science, then it's always possible to gain it.

What exactly do the colors of a persons aura mean??? Like if someones was a deep blue anyone know what it would mean about the person then???

From what I have read, now i dont know the colors meaning, there are multi-colors you can see, and if you lok hard enough you can see their true color, or soul, if im mistaken please let me know. : )

At points they have been more see"able" as a single color but they will blur, to me, at certain points the closer it gets together.

Louis you are right about the colors and the way that they look. Some of the colors are more defined on some and not so defined on others. It really depends on the person that you are looking at.

(colors of the rainbow, bright, shiny, monochromatic colors):

Anything can be learned it's the execution of said trait that is the deciding factor! but anywho.... I feel cameras help us to see things that we may not notice right off hand. The problem is a lot of the pictures and such can be doctored. Even the Aura ones... The camera could have been tampered with before.... It's hard to know what is true anymore with advances and all. It's really a catch 22. the advancements help and hinder our views of things. A picture taken by me would be completely different than a picture with the same camera that was taken by another.

i have a friend who used to talk about this alot and would tell me what colour my aura was.
i believe you have to be born with this ability although i suppose it could be possible you could be taught aura reading by an experienced individual.
about the cameras i honestly don't see how one could be made to do this seems kind of far fetched but iguess if you know enough about auras as well as inventing it is possible.

Can some people just see plant auras and not animal auras? Like do you have to build up to be able to see somethings auras? Sorry for all the questions, but they are coming to me all through out the day lol.

Like all things we have to develop further into them for things to become "noticable" to us, if you feel your unable to see plant aura's or the like, go back to animals and train yourself there, do vizualisation training, pick an item study it, pput it out of your site and try to picture it in your mind by describing it, like muscles you have to exercise the mind too : P

I beleive that some people can see auras.; They are more sensitive to them. I dont know about the cameras. I would guess that like with much of anything you could pick up the variations, depending on what you were recording with.

the best way i've found to see and aura is to not look at a person but try and look through them...

give it a try, take a person, look at them and then try and look through them like they're a window while taking deep even breathes...usually you'll start to see colors the third or fourth time you try, and it gets easier with practice

I am able to see auras and I have to wonder. Is it the actual aura the camera sees or could it be something else. Obviously if they can't see auras themselves they cannot be sure.

I can see auras, although it's not really like seeing them it's more like feeling or sensing them... I never really told anyone cuz it's just not a subject you bring up but every sense I was little I kind of associate colors with people or really I noticed certain people but off different colors...

Some people are born with a gift to see auras and others have learned to see them. As far as the camera goes it probably is something like you see on like ghost hunters and stuff that uses thermal imaging. Not sure but that is my guess.

You may come across people who attempt to hide their aura.
objects, i haven't, nor wish to, read, because i don't do anything that may require me to, if it involves buying a item for religious means, i feel "sensing" works better. Practice never hurts, if you dont have anyone to read, get an item small in size, memorize what it is color, shape, things on it, so forth, then put it out of sight and attempt to see it in your mind, describing it to yourself.

It might be, but doesn't mean it is.

Don't get your hopes too "high".

Auras can change with the person's mood..it isn't always the same so it is not completely accurate as to what that person's true aura color is unless you would consistently see that color around that person.

What I find interesting about those cameras is that they can take a picture and it will show outlines/images of limbs that have been amputated. So yes..there is some sort of field there that is present even after you lose a piece of yourself.

I am sceptical of these cameras. My father is a photographer, who has taught me different effects that can be created by filters, including the alleged auras, and my mother is from a psycic bloodline, and she can see auras, some people are more difficult to read as they put up a forcefield around themselves. I personaly can't see auras, but I can sense them, I have never in my life been wrong about my first impression of meeting someone face to face.

sometimes the bad feeling you get of a person are their auras giving you that sense. same as the good feelings you get about someone. i have also heard of these cameras but i believe they are simply detected by body heat so not that accurate

oh yeah totally. when you see somebody you know you're bound to get to know, you have an automatic hatred toward them and you havent even talked to them or know them yet. i think that's our auras interacting with eachother. maybe different colors go better.

I believe you are talking more about perceptions of someone rather than auras telling you about that person. Being able to read a person is not the same as being able to see their aura.

I hear so much about reading or seeing other people's auras and I wonder if it's strange that I have never done this.
I never really worked with auras, I've tried to but it was a struggle to see or feel anything.

Some have the natural ability. I guess I completely don't :P

I know that I can only see very extreme auras, like if someone is in a rage, I see a smear of blood red around them.

Early in my childhood I was taught to look for Auras, as where my other siblings. I could see them but my two sisters could not. They tried very hard but it never came to them.

I have cousins that have also been taught the same as I, in our family coven, and for some it was an easy thing and for some it was not easy.

I have one cousin who could see auras up untill she had her first child and then she could no longer do so. No idea why this would happen but it makes you think.

It was explained to me, as a child, that people who could see auras where "touched" or "gifted" in a special way.

I believe that we are each gifted in special ways and what some see as aura's others may not. I think it is all up for interpretation by the individual. I know of a few people that claim they can suddenly see aura's but when asked to do so, cant.

There are a few in my own family that claim all aura's are is a trick of the lighting where the particulare person is at.

I am under training in being able to see aura's and understand them, most of my knowledge is either spoken to me or read, however i will say this, my biggest problem with seeing auras is that I try too hard and end up not seeing them.

Some people are born with this gift of reading aura... i recalled if you see a rainbow aura it would mean that someone is sucking all your energies... which would mean they making you vunerable..... its the most dangerous.... if you want too learn how too you may acquaint yourself with others who are in aura reading... you can begin by watching the wick of the candle and try to see the colors you may see... and also you can place your hand against a white wall and try to look closely to see the aura and begin by observing people and watch very closely... of you posses this type of gift its way easier...
White would mean healing,Indigo connection to spirit,Blue would mean the spiritual teacher give you patient and to be sensitive etc, Green nourishes life guide you to be giving,red emotional body.. passion, fear,anger, sexuality may be use to create horrific suffering or miraculous healing so if someone is trying suck your energy by seeing your aura you may be a target to being left empty and sick....

You can learn but your body would have to be trained to learn and keep as a schedule of what your learning like your daily every day life schedules we live.

There is a local metaphysical that conducts this type of photography. MY two best friends had it done a few months ago and it was quite spot on. I will update when I get mine done and I'll ask more questions about how it works :)

I have a friend who can see auras. He said mine was out of tune. Most likely because of my autism. It's not a bad thing. Actually, it's a good thing. It may be apart of my gifts.

I see them but only sometimes , they vary in strenght and colour , i dont seem to be able to control it . I can see plant auras easily . I can feel them it,s like feeling chi ,a subtle warmth or a slight attraction or repulsion , sometimes even slight wind . I think you can learn to see auras . Go outside and look at plants at night under the street lights . Look at the outline of the trees theres many other subtle outlines other than it,s physical one .

I was once at a theme park and I stoped while looking at a young woman, I noticed she had a blackness around her and a word came to me of death when I could not turn away..after some moments I kepted on doing what ever I was doing.

In my experience of aura seeing most of the colors are very subtle. I can usually see one color in the outline of the person. It helps to be out of the light or at least after sun down. However I have see very strong ones in the day before.
There were posts earlier that stated somethings that seem to work when trying to see an aura. Practice is one thing however some people it just click with. Darkness or a slight bit of light (candle light, moonlight). Looking through the person or thing as if you are trying to see something behind them.
I found tree worked well for a good starting point.
I see a silverish border around them kinda like using inferred film.
I have also found that if you are a Vamp and have ever experienced "vampyre vision" that is a good time to try.
This is when you deep feed off someone with your eyes closed and when you open them it seem as if everything got really really bright around you. If it has ever happened to you you know the feeling. It is pretty tripy.

P.S. I believe there are cameras out there that can see
auras to an extent. I don't think they are out on tour charging only 20$ a picture. I say its a scam.

I found a place on the main street in Idaho Hot Springs (a couple years ago...not sure if it's still there), that sold souveniers and had a room in the back where they sold photos to people that were supposed to "capture" your aura.

I do believe that their are people with that gift...but I'm rather suspicious of a camera being able to photograph a person's aura...

one of the people that started Kiralian ( aura photos) has since admitted how they actually discovered the process, and how they fooled paranormal investigators as well. Uri Geller even denied endorseing Kerilian photography, someone recorded the program he endoresed it on.. He tends to deny most things that he once endorsed.. After they are exposed.

Even James Randi had an Aura reader on a show to test his accuracy.. At matching auras.

what can be photo graphed is light and ascension but not the aura coz aura is mass of energy but can not be reflacted in light form coz its purer like pure space. what might so they photo graph is reflaction of light from instrument or person's magnetic field. aura is energy purer than air, how can they capture it? and aura is every where so can not be put to metri-scale.

i resently went to visit a friend who was in jail.
the guy sitting next to him shot 3 police officers...i noticed that when he moved his aura was crystal clear, he had a deffinate outline ...i was wondering if this means he has no consence or remorse ? but i also thought that a clear aura would be given to an innocent...iam a bit confused i would like to know why such a bad person could throw off an innocent color , or am i all mixed up?

And I've read is not about what you do that determine your purity..Is how you are. If it comes by killing people, then everyone in the army have a dark colored aura, if there is really one for one to hold.

I cant explain what i been seeing around definite bad people ...I have questioned my own sanity on this ...it has always been my understanding that bad people have dark auras. the best way I guess to explain what it looks like is what a person would see on acid trails but not in color totally clear. ...I even made an emergency eye doc exam appointment last week... he said my eyes were fine ...however I did forget to mention he said my left eye muscle is week and my eyes work great at distant items but not up close and yet I don't need glasses, *scratches head*. i think the cameras are false u cant build something to see that stuff as for people seeing it i think its more from birth but it may be possible to learn if u train and meditate

I've been able to shine a flashlight at someon e in the dark and see an outline of colors around someone....

But in reality, it's a gift to be born with and the camera thing, not too sure what to think with technology the way iot is now.

People can train themselves to see auras. you need to teach yourself to be still and focus, clear your mind. Something very hard to do with so many living busy lives. We all take life for granted and there are so many things we miss along the way.

The "FLIR" camera (a special kind of thermal imaging camera) can pick up auras, I have seen it myself. The more powerful the persons aura, the easier the camera picks it up.

I cannot claim to have ever seen an aura around someone. I do believe there are those who have the ability to do so but the ones who advertise it I would think were fakes or I would be skeptical of them. If it were unsolicited I would be more of a believer. However, I do have an open mind and believe that anything is possible.

Kirlian photography is nothing new. It has been around for a very long time. Dr. Thelma Moss was the one who brought over the concept of it and did research on it and made it famous. She got the idea out of Russia. They were the first to experiment with it from what I understand. She was a parapsychologist (had a psychology degree) at UCLA some years ago and has since passed. She was the parapsychologist that worked on the Entity case and later after she left UCLA she worked in near death studies among other things.

Wanted to say something else. It is a fallacy that we do not use all of our brain. Recently a study was presented and they went into the 7 top beliefs about certain things that even doctors promote that are not true. One of them was the brain thing and told how that got started but I don't remember now. I have the article stored some place. Now that they actually can do brain imaging they know the brain is fully active just like any other organ in the body. When you are little your brain and learning is very pliable and then you sort of become hardwired, different ages for boys and girls. Male brains and female are different.

I don't think it has anything persnally to do with functioning or non functioning capacity but focus. Most people who can see auras have a different outlook, ie Indians, and have been doing such things and believing in it for years. Those who go into the paranormal from a more spiritulist/metaphysical bent tend to get into things relating to ordering thought, such as trance and things like that and tend to develop the ability to see such things but not all people and I think it has to do with again, the ability to focus. If the brain is really busy with thoughts, just as in hypnosis being a difficult subject you most likely will not see auras. This is only my opinion of course from personal experiences and observations. As far as the brain thing...its scientific fact. You can probably find the article somewhere on line and the study. I am sorry, didn't have the time to find it and post it.

I have seen 2 kinds of aura cameras at shows.

One is a Kirlian photography... which takes photos of the hands. You place your hand on the pad and the vendor asks you a question... you move your hand to a lower position repeat fora total of 4 times and interpret.

It's similar to a lie detector in that sense... but it will indicate how open your chakras are and other things to a talented operator. Unfortunately I have only seen about 3 people who knew how to operate this camera properly... out of the 5 cameras like it I know that are in western canada that keep getting sold from person to person.

The other camera that taes pictures of a persons face is a modified slide duplicator. There is a series of slides that represent the variety of auras and a book that helps you find the appropriate slide. It is suposed to work by a talented vendor that can see auras by viewing your aura... selecting the correct slide... putting the correct slide in the camera by slight of hand and misdirection. You then take the photo and read teh actual aura correctly and give the client the "representative photo"

99% of vendors do not do this well or properly. I believe that most vendors do not even have a complete set of slides (I think there is a 300 and a 1000 slide set)
and many operators cannot even see auras as well as teh variety on the slides let alone their correct interpretations interpretation for variations that are not on teh slides.

The best method I have ever seen for Aura Representation was an artist and she would draw your aura with pencil crayon... she did not draw your face... just the crown aura that exuded froom it... sort of a burst looking thing... it was quite acurate and she was fantastic at the interpretive.

The most interesting Aura interpretater I have ever seen was a "couple" from the Soviet Union arround teh time of it's collapse while I was in India. This couple dressed like Mary and Jesus as the orthodox usually depict them. The Jesus character (who claimed to be jesus as my friend from Moscva interpreted) measured aura by walking away from you and then stabbing the shehpards crook into the groud where it ended... for him it was important the size of your aura. The characters were amusing as they fully believed who they were and anyone who disagreed with them... suddenly had a small aura. I should write this shit down in a book... *laughs* I haven't thought about that probably since it happened 20 years ago.

I know you can train yourself to see the aura. That at first you only see one level of the aura and as your inner eye opens you can see more of the aura.

I believe that it is 99% belief and 1% talent. I think we can all see auras, just some choose not to.

Does an Aura depict the current mood of someone, over all state of health, or what kind of person they really are not including their current mood?

As to answer the Question above , yes the Aura,is suppose to be like a sounding board to you health, happiness ,Feelings thoughts, and emotions. We do not have Carnivals here in the south that has these things going on as far as I know , but if they ever did I would love to go.

Something that I have found to work not only with auras but with opening the eyes and chakra's, is to concentrate with out looking directly at the item/person to the point where it's almost in peripheral view. It's like when you stare at an inatimate object and zone out into space. I hope this helps.

A simple test of the aura cameras would be to have someone that can see auras well compare what they see to what the camera took.

I am not sure of others but I can see auras, Its more of the feeling, as well as the outline from a person. Not color nor shape. :) Most of the time when you pass a person or go through their aura you will feel the emotion that the person is feeling. Although that is to those who are able to feel it in such a way, those with that gift.

New equipment and new capabilities go hand in hand. The thing about auras is that they are electricity based (or so I've read) so I suspect that those who are born with it are more sensitive to other elctricity based phenomina as well. Can you learn it? I do not think so, but I might be wrong. I mean how you enhance something like that involving sight?

I pick up on people's emotions and auras (I say that seperately because I believe auras are more than just emotion based) pretty easily and I have also been known to blow light bulbs and fuses and such from time to time. Seriously the more energetic I am the more electrical things act up. Not only that but my ex mother is able to heal and see auras and much more along those lines and I swear this woman used to blow fuses someimtes every day, we could never keep lights on in the house because she would go to turn them on and they would blow ( a few actually blew up too).

I went to a shop a number of years ago which sold anything of your spiritual needs and they had a camera set up to where they can photograph you and show you "aura". In my opinion, they can be tricks of light, they can visualized body heat even, or any other number of things. Most didn't know what auroras were for a while until we learned it was caused from our sun.

If auras are a person's energy then do all living things have auras..such as plants and animals? Or is it based on human emotions?
