Hello everyone, I was thinking on putting up a discussion post on choosing what life style to live in.

For most of us, what we are is not a choice, yet for those few it is. I wanted to know your life story and your choice in life. And what it means to you.

Can those who choose this type of lifestyle ever really truly realize what it is, and what power it has over us that have no choice.

I am a Geist by trade, I started Haunting when I found an ad in Fangora Magazine.

After my Novice phase, I noted that I was an inconspicuos individual, I got away with basic activity. Eventually I graduated to Spooking the parents, and friends of my associates.

I learned how some people can be convinced that ghost exist, and that they meddle with this life. Not only had I learned how to haunt, I learned how individuals are haunted by benign anomilies, and an overactive imagination.

I am out of practice though, but it is pretty much like riding a bike.. when I am not an active Geist, I am an Apport.

I am many all wrapped in one package. I follow some wiccan ways, I am also catholic, and an active one. I truly believe that it can all work together to create a peaceful and harmonious life for each individual. Only if your truly happy with who you are.

Can those that choose a lifestyle really understand it? I think that they can if they want to. If it means something to them. If they are doing it because its the "in" thing to do, then no, they will never realize what it is truly like.

I am the same.. i was born and raised a baptist. very strict, though when i got older, i had powers, i could heal people, and know exactly where they hurt and how to fix it. lately i have been getting more and more sensitive to people, when someone passes by, i know exactly if they are good or bad. My mother and family have always considered my powers as the devils work and think its wrong. I on the other hand embrace it.

Though now that i have found someone of the darker side.. there are some days when i just lay there and just crave and want blood.. and i cant explain it...

I believe in all paths to God/Allah/God and Goddesses. Each religion is the same in some ways and different in other ways.

I myself believe in different things. I believe in Judaism, Christianity and some Wiccan paths. There are many religions to follow and each person has the ability to follow a path of their choosing.

I am a Wicca, but at times I attend a Spiritualist Church.

I study Buddiahism So the three can be combined.
For each has a learning tool that one can
use in their everyday life.

Every door we chose to walk through, has some type of learning experience.

I was semi-raised Catholic, went to a methodist Church,
A Baptist.

But the Wiccan Path felt right.
Then I attend a Spiritualist Church and the Principals of the Church went along with the Wiccan Rede.

Like the door to reformation is never closed.
It is a scientic fact that there is life after death.

The meditation CD's of the Monks singing
gives me a peaceful lealing meditation.
The wisdom of everything has a spirit goes with the Earth Based religion.

I was born and raised a Catholic and practiced up to about last year when I discovered what I firmly believe to be the truth. I believe in higher powers but am unsure of an actual "god", "heaven" or "hell". Throughout the year I have learned of the truth behind those who cannot choose; and their suffering. I have since then questioned the mercy of the gods and do not waste my time with comfort through religion or religious belief.

i was born a vampire...the blood is a need i possess, not something i chose to have or obtained over time.

most things tho are chosen. how do you not choose to be become a methodist, a witch, or a horseback rider?

im a bit thick at times i admit, but i do think that most things are choices we make. i even think sexuality is just a choice.

all choices really in my opinion.

I was raised catholic, by very God Fearing family, but it just never sat right with me I had way to many questions, I have studied many different religions of the world and different traditions as well. I am happy with the path that I have been on for the last 16 years, some may call it eclectic, but its what makes me me.

Before I begin on the discussion in general, I am going to comment in a very loose fashion here:

Damn this thread has turned into an "I relate to you" thing. Instead of a descriptive thread about how one relates to those certain genre, stereotypes, ie lifestyles whether they were born, or fell into them.

Anywho, now I begin...

I am going to quote Lestat from Queen of the Damned here: "So you want to know everything?"

I am Pagan by choice, a philosopher by thought. I do not have a religion. My background was being raised Mormon. I was baptized as Mormon by choice, a bit out of retribution for something else that was going on back then so by my own definition, I was baptized in sin.

I chose the Pagan ideology, not for the polytheistic context, but because it is one of the more open minded paths that is not considered as "dark" in context. Every other religion in theology is based on Paganist qualities and ideals, therefore I feel that choosing the path of Paganism, I had the root source. Cannot go wrong there.

Personally, I could give a crap about what god(s) and or goddess(s) to worship, prayer and worship is not my forte. The universe gives what it wants to give, when the individual is in the need for what ever the gift is. I would call myself a Universalist, but society does not understand that concept. Thus I call out Pagan. It is better understood.

I am far from atheist, even though I could give a crap the god(s) and or goddess(s) does not mean a damned thing. There is a differance in believing in something, and worshipping that something. I do not worship anything, but I still believe in the thought that something does exist. I know more, but that is not what this thread is about.

Anywho, I was born vampire, I practice the esoterics, being wiccan is not a religion but a path within the Pagan philosophy. So I will not clump those two (wicca and religion) together.

Something the audience needs to get straight here before we move on, and before it gets driven completely out of context. Religion is NOT a lifestyle. Being a practitoner of the esoterics is NOT a lifestyle. Being born into something is NOT a lifestyle.

How can there be a sub-culture for any of these things, if they were NOT borrowed from a root source, nor have any cultural qualities amongst them. This is rhetorical question, by the by. Just a rant, don't bother answering it. Just things taken completely out of context just as with everything else.

What these things mean to me? The vampire, I will not speak about, the witch means absolutely nothing, and I have already shared my thoughts regarding the "wiccan" practice.

"Can those who choose this type of lifestyle ever really truly realize what it is, and what power it has over us that have no choice."

Yes. Everyone has that quality whether the people around them think they are stupid or not. No one is that dense, even the bubblegum chewing pippysluts and rednecks from Arkansas with shotgun in hand sitting on their porch chewing tabakee are that stupid.

Groups of people on the other hand, no. It is called peer pressure. Group mentality. One says no, the others need to comply without disprespecting their "leader(s)." This is common. It goes for any background, religion being one of the biggest of them.

There is no "power" that anything has over anyone. Call it a crutch if you need to call it something. Since the only power it has over anyone is the power they give it. Just because someone is born into something, does not give it power over them. They always ALWAYS have choice. Just as well as those "lifestylers", another stupid stereotype, have the choice to call it a "lifestyle" or to just do what they feel comfortable in doing.

I had to think about this thread for awhile before posting. Since I am in my senior years I would have to agree that I didn't choose a lifestyle but more that I seemed to be compelled into a certain direction. I was born into many things, talkative, vampiric and curious. Therefore, I have at one time or another involved myself in many things and spread myself thin.

I am not generally a follower so I would suspect I haven't exactly fallen into any one lifestyle other than eccentricity. Many things that are popularly accepted nowadays I don't follow because they either weren't heard of or I plainly had no interest. I have an abiding thirst to understand the unknown since very small. I think I got involved with spiritualism because they delve into the area of life after death and psychism as a routine part of their beliefs. I am also more prone to universalism than anything else. I get impatient with those who believe there is only one way of thinking about things yet I find I can be very rigid about my views from time to time. Essentially I would say I have been interested in knowing about the unknown since small, before kindergarten, and being around those who are unique in my estimation. I got disillusioned concerning mainstream religion. I like to stretch the limits of what people would assume about me and get involved in some things not just merely out of curiosity but to learn what is the truth if one could call it that, rather than what people espouse routinely. I have found that there generally isn't any one truth but a path each individual seems to follow by the choices and experiences they have in life.

I wouldn't say I belong to any subculture, although that has happened. I prefer culture to subculture though. I tend to want to help those of similar ideation whether directly or indirectly. I embrace the views in certain ways and tend to stay out of the downside aspects by personal choice. I guess it all has to do with my thirst to understand the unknown. I have always been a rebel against conformity. I have been labeled a teacher or mentor from time to time but I don't see that but rather see myself as a perpetual learner. I don't actually label myself anything openly. I just state what my interests have been and are presently. As for the specifics of being something, well, I see that the same as breathing. I have no labels really beyond just being me.

Hello everyone,

What would Tarot Readings come under??? I have done tarot readings before a couple of friends and got it almost spot on.

I have no religion, nor do I want one. I believe wholeheartedly that vampires are real and those that are non believers can go shove it up their butts.

Hoping this answers your question.

I believe Tarot would be classified under divination. This would be an eclectic output. A conduit of esoterics. Psychic stimulation. Anyone can do it, but the serious only need apply where mastery is involved. Could be classified under the "craft of the wise" for those of close minded personalities.

Hmm,I am what I am.I do what I want. There is really no description because there are simply too many things here and there I lean towards from many different beliefs..Im not sure how,but for the most part things that happen in my life are the things I want to have happen. And I accept the death or whatever else that are a part of everyones life that has crossed my path and the universe has been very kind to me in that respect. In all respecxts really..I accomplish my goals, and keep myself in positions that are condusive to me without stepping on the other guy.And in many cases what I do actually helps the other guy too.I think of things and they happen.I like to research many subjects that pretain to the things around me.I like the light and the dark things in life. With all that said,I wouldnt have the first clue what kind of lifestyle mine would fall into,so I steer clear of labeling it.
I treat peeps how I like to be treated and the universe returns in kind.
I believe in majick but not in a Wiccan sense,or pagan sense or Christian sense, because in my world majick happens all around me,all of the time,in many forms and it doesnt take a spell or an herb or ritual to make it so.People dont control me,but I have no problem following laws.As far as being a Vampire, well, no,Im not one of those .
I have however been accused of being a Sorceress, but whos to say.

And one things for sure,I used alot of Is' in this post!!

i am not sure what i would be called a pagan maybe. i do believe in spirits and ghosts and demons and such. i also believe in magik in many different forms. i have recently broken from the christian ways for i have always had issues with it. i have a wide belief that knowledge is a power unto itself. i also have a gift if you will of healing and have used it on many a non believer who have walked away astonished. i dont claim to be something im not though and im no miracle healer or faith healer who can fix it all and cure any disease. i do believe there are higher beings and not just a christian god. i do believe you can go onto a different plane of existance after you die. I have trekked along a path of curiosity and have had issues with the death of my little brother when he was 16.... and because of his illness i had my beliefs shaken by what i saw ... you want a test of your beliefs goto the childrens cancer ward and watch them all it will break your heart... i think that was the last straw for me in alot of ways and changed my path of discovery...

a geist....talk about the living dead!

as for wicca...its a belief system like many others. its not all that old (1950) and while it has many tenets that are quite attractive, there are many belief systems one could become involved in. i dont think there is such a thing as "no choice" in ones religious preference.

a person chooses their belief system. but if one is a vampire...that is something that you cant just decide to be or not to be.

I have always held to the belief that I am a vampire though many would tell me different just because of my skin color (I am tan) perhaps they only do not understand. perhaps it is solely my soul which is vampire. I am always looking for a true vampire to be my mentor/ master that I may unlock the vampire that dwells within.

No one can ever say that you are NOT something because of the color of your skin.there is no standard of image that will make someone a vampyre... they come in all sizes, races, heights, and weights... just like everyone else... A vampyre is still very much a human. No immortality or super powers included... but still... it's not just a choice... you can't just wake up one day and say. "I wanna be a vampyre" and become one

I am a Wiccan by choice although the best way to "label" myself would be saying I am an eclectic Pagan since I do take beliefs from other religions and work them into my everyday life.

I used to claim myself as a psi-vamp but I haven't practiced anything in years, which has left me weak at times when I'm in crowds but I'm trying to live life as normally as I can.

I am a practicing Psi Vamp and a druidic Pagan, I chose the Druidic Pagan lifestyle because Christianity wasn't for me, too many unanswered questions and deep insinuations for me to live comfortably. In my religion I am comfortable enough to know that My Goddess and My God expect me to screw up from time to time and will always love me no because i made a mistake or made the right choice but because of who i am and all that happy jazz.

Now as to the Lifestyle I didn't choose. I didn't choose to become a Psi Vamp, I wasn't turned or made. I simply went through an awakening and I am still having memories of past lives come back to me. If I don't feed on at least a monthly basis, I get weak and sometimes Ill, minior sickness a cold sore throat sinus infection, that sort of thing. Any large gathering especially of a more dark, goth, or vampyric nature, i tend to be very shakey and panicky. I always try to keep my back to a wall and live in fear that I will be attacked by a strong Psi and won't be able to defend my self ( so if anyone has any advice on blocking attack from a psi please message me ) .....

So far I have been born and raised in a Christian lifestyle, not too strict. I began noticing that I was different, that I could feel what was wrong with some people. At school I began to hang out with the others like me hoping that that would help, and it did. When my parent noticed my new lifestyle they told me that I needed a variety of friends and colors to wear and not just the darker colors I had been wearing. So, as of now, I am very Open-minded too all religions and beliefs.

I noticed that being a vampiric was lumped together with witchcraft and Wicca but it is very different. One is a state of being one is born with. Some have chosen Wicca and other spiritual beliefs to follow. Some are Christiann believe it or not and it has nothing to do with whether they are a vampire. It is not the same except for a small segment of the community who believe in things entirely different. Witchcraft is quite different from Wicca in that they do not incorporate tenets from other belief systems and they don't have so many rote rituals and don't cast circles or call corners because they believe the whole of earth to be sacred space. Many in Europe are born into families who have practiced certain things for generations and it is passed on orally.

I tend to not like to get tied into consequence so I fall more in the ballpark as far as that is concern of sorcery. Not everything is witchcraft. I prefer vampiric to vampire because it isn't so easily attached to movies and fiction. Many of us that Laycock calls "the old guard", lol do or don't really care about names or spellings of the words with an i or a y. It is something one has to deal with in their own way and quite frankly generational values play a big part in what one might believe, practice or think about their state of being. I would say I am a spiritualist in view but on a very loose level. I usually identify myself as a Pagan but that is personal philosophy as well and not what I am. I don't follow most of what the younger generations do and how they live and think. My background and experiences are very different. I guess one would call it frame of reference.

So eloquently worded Azure.

You break from the testimonial trapping, and contribute to the thread insightfully.

I personal refrain from isms. I am more a dabbler in Human behavior. People that are nable to place their beliefs, and practices in context are often desperate to be accepted, and fussed over, for their beliefs.

Like most people i was raised with a religious background but alas, the spirit always moves down paths it wishes to take. I am a very spiritual lady. A lightworker which at times draws things of the dark. Sort of goes hand in hand. A psychic dreamer, sensitive, and a person who's had plenty of vampiric experiences or encounters since childhood. I tend to fall more into our spiritual roots as a Shaman or Native cultures would. I would say that the journey I am set on is not really a choice, it is of the soul and is possibly carried down through lifetimes. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Like many others who have posted before me, I dont believe the path that you follow is always by choice. More often than not the inherent abilities that you are given tend to awaken YOU not the other way around.

I am a witch by natural abilities, and when I found it to be something that was not only real, but practiced when I was a child...I was able to grasp more fully the "strange" things that would happen to me.

I find alot of contradictions when it comes to being a Vampire and sorcery at the same time.
My reasons steming from the lack of "energy" that vamps claim they have. Also because of the nature of all the weaknesses described when they do not feed.
All in all, logic tells me that vamps basically depend on others for any strength,so Im not really getting how they could be powerful in majick at this point. So while they could be good at what they do as far as obtainng and manipulating these energies in one manner and being a vamp.,any energy gained would all go to substaining them with nothing left to really use for anything else.Maybe this is why for the most part they choose witchcraft because they need the outside help such as ritual or symbol to reach the frequencies needed for that kindof thing...But Im not done thinking about this and will post more after I have done so.

I am Jewish, however I believe that everyone is equal and everyone's views are valid. I don't believe that people are really vampires or lycans. I have never seen proof of it. There are many people on here claiming to be such and I do not wish to use this thread to rant but I would really like to see some more honesty here on VR. That said, being Jewish means that I have a lot in common with people who follow catholicism. Judaism is very strict in its ways, many of my people are strictly against other religions and beliefs. That, however, is fading as the newer generation of Jews learn to embrace people of varying beliefs. Everyone knows of our history and the hardships we endured in the past, near genocide. So if many Jews are careful in the prospect of letting others in, it is with good reason. Just here to share a bit of me.

Who or what i am isn't a lifestyle, it's just whatever my spiritual self IS. I really am nothing you can toss into a box so easily. I believe depending on the intentions of the person, how they make use of their own energies, is probably what defines a person the most. Since generally we are all able to learn how to use these energies, we can literally take on many roles. I do not lack energy as a vampire would, however I have shared mine with some before. Witches to me are just a fancy word , again, for someone who has learned to tap into energies and use them for whatever reason. Doesn't matter if you're a priest, a witch, what religion you are into....If one actually opened their minds and eyes a bit would see that they pretty much all do the same thing (chant, pray), they just all go about it differently.

I am a Witch , I can't say wiccan as I do not think it applies to me Wiccan in a new age Word founded in the 60's I feel that what I am goes back much further , I choose not to hurt anyone unless I have to,to protect myself and loved ones . I can't say I've ever had any certain religion taught to me As my family were not religious people as a small child I went to church with my grandmother but did not enjoy it so we stopped going . after that at the age of 16 I tried to find the right religion for me in the christian faith along with a few others , none seemed to maker me happy or feel like I belonged , So I went back to witchcraft something that came natural to me at the age of 10 years old I knew the first time I had opened a book this was for me and explained a lot of the things I was feeling . I do have a Strong Connection With animals . I do respect other Religions but there are not for me.

I come from a Native American Backgound we dont turn in to wolves but we do trancform mentaly during the full moon and during that womanly time of the month during this time we are most in tuned with nature we are most comfortable out doors at night. I guess it is a choice to live this way. i could choose not to and live my life unhappy and incompleate.

I was raised catholic, went to catholic school, have made 5 out of 7 sacraments, and I'm sorry.. Jews and catholics are absolutely nothing alike. They are the absolute opposite of one another. The catholics believe that Jesus christ was the saviour. The Jews are still waiting for Him.

Out of all religions (as far as christianity is concerned) that I have followed, catholicism was the LEAST strict. The christians, baptists, especially mormons and especially protestants, such as Presbyterians are very strict. They order tithes etc. Orthodox Presbyterians believe that men are superior to women. catholics don't take 10% of your check. Also.. you can show up at catholic mass in jeans and a t-shirt. You can't do that at these other churches.. they'll all judge you. I'm sorry, but in my opinion, you couldn't be any further from the truth.

I honestly dont have alot to contribute to this thread other than to tell you that of all the religions or Witch sects,I cannot adhere to any of them.I believe a little of this and some of that,so its really a mish mash .Regardless,it is about transcendence as far as I am concerned. However,I do feel compelled to say to you Tink, that thats has to be the best and most logical explaination of what a Lycan would be that I have heard to date.I will look at it much differently now..thank you for that.

perhaps there is an afterlife or reincarnation...i believe in that.
but i also love the life i have, and would like to hang on to it.

i will seek something to grant me an extended life anytime i have a lead. i dont rule out "immortal" vamps and such because i think there is a basis for the legends.

and if offered, i would accept their gift.

My name is Vampess. I was born a Vampire, raised in the Roman Catholic religion. Priests always said they could feel the devil in me. Others would look at the priests oddly and say that I looked like an angel. I seem to hold many masks in life but only few see my real face. I knew I was a vampire even before I knew what they were. I've been drinking blood since I was little. Of course my parents had no idea and still have no idea. I don't plan to ever tell them of course. Odd conversation that would be. I have multiple features that brought me to the reasoning that I am a vampire and I will not prove it to those I do not trust and will not give me blood. I see no point in it and see that as more of a nuisance to me. I live by my rules and no one elses. I live in my own life and most cannot comprehend it and myself. I am a confusing person. I am not the best socially. Mostly because I am misunderstood. I drink blood because it gives me life and energy and it tastes marvalous. I do not care if you do not believe me. I have learned not to care about anyone but myself although I do have a mask where I seem to care. If anything its that I use the mask to entertain myself. Its funny watching pathetic peoples lives. A lot better than tv which is why I do not watch it. Most people do not appreciate the world around them and to them I spit on their feet. They should be thankful that there is this earth and should protect it. Nature needs to be restored to what it once was and not all these highrises. What about all the forests and trees. With nature we can have hunting for there will be more animals and more space to do it in. What I'd like is to be able to hunt humans. Now that would be a treat. Unfortunately there are moral boundaries of others. If you are at all interested in hearing more of me, send me a message don't worry I will not be mean. Mean is a mask I do not possess.

Over 8,000 years ago, a small group of celestial Humans descended to Earth and attempted to infuse into our terrestrial Human ancestors the DNA benefits of their own race, benefits that would have finally resulted in males being equal in all ways with females: sexually, emotionally and spiritually.

Only in this way could the original mistake be corrected and male and female finally have a chance at realizing their true potentials, which potentials require that both be able to truly bond, to truly become one together ... as only those who are truly equal can.

Unfortunately, the end result was that those of this unique bloodline, while initially welcomed and highly revered, were eventually villified by the far-greater numbers of normal males whose own jealousies, prejudices and religious fanaticism eventually succeeded in convincing the majority that despite the history that so contradicted such claims, those of such "angelic" lineage were "evil" and bloodthirsty and should be feared and shunned by women, hunted and slaughtered by men.

Fortunately, a few of us... those of that bloodline... have survived.

2,000 years ago, there was one of us who believed it possible to teach such equality to other males rather than have it strictly be the result of genetics. For taking such an enormous gamble in both revealing who he was so openly, he was repayed just as treacherously as were the original group who had descended 6,000 years before him. He was ulimately betrayed in his 33rd year by many (not just one) of his innermost circle... and with the collusion of the Roman-appointed High Priests and the Roman authorities was crucified outside the walls of Jerusalem. His powerful teachings, which initially survived very much intact, were then quite successfully hijacked and perverted by a Roman agent pretending to be an "Apostle born out of time." And very quickly all that was eventually canonized as "scripture" by Rome and almost all that survived in print were only those writings either written by this same duplicitous Roman agent or filtered, altered, censured, and redacted through him and/or his "disciples."

Following the later successful establishment and official acceptance of this new re-written, re-packaged and now state-sponsored religion, marketed and mandatorily enforced by the governments of the West througout the Middle Ages and the Renaissance as the only accepted "church," the true Powers-That-Be finally had the clout to once again embark on a worldwide campaign of vilification and slaughter of the remaining descendants of this now-deemed "fallen" bloodline... now called "Vampires."

"Vampires" are male and are indeed born... though females, who have always possessed the same near-limitless sexual, emotional and spiritual capacities and potentials as do the males of this bloodline, most certainly can be "awakened" to their own true potentials and, thus, could be defined as "Vampires"-in-embryo awaiting the "Sire" with whom their true potentials are finally realized.

All that is commonly believed regarding both Christianity and its later demonic creation, "Vampires," ... is either patently false or so diabolically twisted as to hardly resemble at all either the historical figures involved or what they actually taught.

Do I speak from belief? Or from solid evidences? As those who know me ought to presume, I do not operate from belief. I speak from very solid evidences and from family history. As the latter would mean little, I shall provide a bit of the former for the more intellectually curious here.

I invite all to read the following:

- My profile page

- "Gospel of Thomas" & the "Gospel of Philip"... please read these two anti-Gnostic Gospels in that order, which is also the chronological order of their composition (most accurate and least-corrupted translations found here: http://www.metalog.org )

- the Book of Jude (yes... the one actually in our Bible today and that began the Common-Era vilification of Jesus' true disciples as descendants of the fallen angels and "feasting" sensually amongst Pauline Christians. This was the first step in what a thousand years later eventually became the term "Vampire," which term actually means "one who feasts")

- "The Mythmaker: Paul and the Invention of Christianity"

- "The Trial and Death of Jesus"

(to name only a very few)

I am an Adaptive Vampire, in this I had no choice.
I chose to follow the Pagan path (for the most part) because so many traditions from other religions seem to come from here. Don't get me wrong I believe in other parts of other religions too. Not just because they sounded cool but because when I heard of them something inside me told me that this was the truth and I should choose to believe it.

AlieNation, to answer your question: I used the term "Celestial Humans" because in my view this is the most accurate given the known facts.

Terms like "Fallen Angels" and "Vampires" are so invested in pop-cultural imagery and religious iconography as to be pretty worthless to anyone seeking factual historicity. And while such is of very little importance to most at this site, yet for me actual intellectual inquiry is of inestimable importance and far more valuable than championing superstition and mere belief.

I use the term "Celestial Humans" because, whoever they were and from wherever they came, almost all worldwide accounts from the most ancient sources (particularly Sumerian and Egyptian accounts) depict them as appearing to our ancient Human ancestors by descending from the skies, teaching Humankind the foundations of civilization and marrying Human females and then siring offspring with them. Thus, they came from the "heavens" ("Celestial") and, as they produced offspring they must have been genetically identical with Human beings otherwise reproduction would not have occurred. Hence, they were Human, as well.

Thus, they were... Celestial Humans.

As for who they were and where they actually came from, I do not yet know. But, I feel the facts to permit us to eliminate a few of the possibilities.

As we today know that it is impossible to sexually reproduce genetically viable offspring outside your own species, they must have been Human. And given how unlikely it is that extraterrestrials would be genetically identical to us I lean toward these "Celestial Humans" having originated on this planet.

If I had to speculate, my best guess would be that these ancient "Celestial Humans" were themselves Human survivors of prior advanced civilizations that lived, thrived and died out tens if not hundreds of thousands of years ago on this Earth. Again, however, this is only speculation.

I am amused how people invest so much into their elaborate identities.

As if to compensate for something lacking in personal development. is the intent to impress people? I have to wonder why people are so assertive about their personal convictions, I read post here of people pondering "hunting humans' how ridiculous, as if they are pushing the envelop to get a rise out of somebody.

Such contempt they harbor for anyone outside their little ideals. They wonder why people really could careless for their loaded act.

I'm bisexual
I'm a witch
I'm living with people I love
I'm strong
I'm crazy
I'm free
I'm my own person.
So what are you?

Many thanks Upir, a comprehensive answer;
Yet you stated DNA cannot be matched with other species?

To me this is blinkered thinking, it is not possible with our own technology but all the evidence points to a higher degree of science.
Therefore it is more than possible that "Celestial Humans" and other kin possessed technology to integrate and enhance an existing species.
The real question is why would they do so?
I think they might do this so we might terraform a planet, fit and ready for there own species?
We have spent the last thousand years building a planet fit for inhabitation and perhaps even harvesting?
We will see.

Also being a Wiccan is hard on me because it caused most of my family to disown me. I was raised Baptist which as Unknown said is very strict. Which means no music other than church music. Then my stepmom is penticostal. Which is even more strick but I belive that wicca is not a choice it is a calling so I followed my heart and have no regrets.

I'm not sure I understood what you meant, AlieNation, by your claim that I "...stated DNA cannot be matched with other species." Did you mean to say that you disagree that one species cannot reproduce viably with another? I can find no evidence that would suggest that different species can sexually reproduce offspring that are, themselves, able to also sexually reproduce.

For example, if you mate a horse and a donkey, you get a mule... yet the mule is sterile, unable to reproduce. Thus, the mule is not reproductively viable. If you mate species more divergent than that, you get no offspring at all. For example, despite our over 99% genetic similarity with the chimpanzee, Humans and chimps cannot sexually reproduce... regardless of technology; it's just not possible.

Now, if you wish to argue that with technology sufficiently advanced perhaps this might be possible, I would have to reply that perhaps you are right... if the sperm and the egg, both were artificially manipulated outside the womb. But no amount of technology that I can imagine is going to have two members different species mating (sexual intercourse) and still have reproduction take place inside the womb. And this latter scenario (marriage and sexual intercourse thereafter creating offspring) is exactly what the most ancient accounts describe... in detail, in some cases!

The most ancient accounts (Sumeriran, Egyptian and Babylonian ... in chronological order) state that these Anunnaki / Bene Ha Elohim / Shemsu Hor, etc., came to Earth, married wives "of all that they chose" and had sex with them that created offspring (called in Semitic accounts, the Rephaim). This is sexual reproduction, not genetic re-engineering and enhancement via artifical manipulation of the male and female components to reproduction for which no marriages and no sexual reproduction would have been necessary.

Now, if you are referring to the interpretations given the Sumerian accounts by one Zacharia Sitchin who has written many books depicting the Anunnaki as "Lost-in-Space-esque" interstellar gold miners who dabble in genetically engineering of the native populations of the worlds they mine... well, all I'll say to that is that, as one can investigate on their own, Sitchin can't even correctly translate the term "Anunnaki," itself, much less be trusted with the rest of the Sumerian texts.

Sitchin translates "Anunnaki" as "Those Who from Heaven to Earth Came." This is entirely in error and serves only to further Sitchin's desire to sell his books with their highly dubious theories.

The correct translation of this key term, Anunnaki, is quite different and... as one would expect... dovetails perfectly with the near-identical terms found in the accounts from other cultures visited by the same "Celestial Humans."

According to Dr. Stephen Tinney of the University of Pennsylvania and the Director of the renowned "Pennsylvania Sumerian Dictionary Project", who first clearly declared Sitchin's interpretation without linguistic foundation, the term "Annunaki" means... quite tellingly I might point out... "Sons of the Heavenly Prince."

When one considers that the Biblical equivalent of "Anunnaki" is "Bene Ha Elohim," which means "Sons of the God(s)" and that the Egyptian equivalent, "Shemsu Hor," means "Sons (or Family) of the God Horus," one begins even more to see that we are talking about the same group of individuals named in accordance with and in context of the respective cultures in which they visited and taught and married and lived... and in which they seeded those cultures with their own "demi-god" offspring.

Nothing here at all about laboratory-style reproduction or any other artificial means of genetic manipulation, as Sitchin claims as based on his translations already proven to be inaccurate at best.

Hope this helps!

I have to agree with DarkAngelDevina about some things.
I know what i've experienced myself personally. I know what i'm capable of doing (at least in this moment in time of what i have learned about myself. things are subject to change as we grow older), and honestly, i feel i would be limiting those things if i stuck some sort of title on it. I don't yet feel that labeling myself is the right thing to do, so i never state what i am but i know that it ties into some of those definitions but those choice of words do not sit well for me.

I was raised in the absence of religion, yet always had a religious nature. That religious nature has taken many forms, yet remained constant. The lack of an orthodox religious presence led me to to seek the answers through any means possible. Sometimes those attempts were dangerous, yet nonetheless enlightening. I subscribe to numerous belief systems, yet believe that they are all interconnected and lead to the same universal truths. To say I am a Deist is accurate, yet inadequate. The same goes for Wicca, Kabballah and Thelema. I subscribe to the belief that there are unseen forces that can be utilized to affect change, harnessed to produce desired results, and that, ultimately, no aspect of existence is independent and disconnected from the others.

if by "religious nature" you mean open to the idea that there are forces at work in the world which have no earthly reason, than I like that idea and i would probably raise my children with that kind of idea

I was fortunate to have some wonderful people along my journey who gave me the tools and the means to find my own path. As I grow older, it gives me a great sense of humility to be able to offer the same tools and support to those I come in contact with. I truly believe that the greatest gift one can give is the mixture of knowledge and choice.

I am a vampyre..and for the longest time I was in denial. I didnt not choose to be this way..I just chose to open my mind to it. Its like not being able to control who you do and dont love. Its just something that happens..gradually over time you become less oblivious to what is really going on. it is something that I am still having to get used to..the urges..to feed..for blood sex..it just happened to me and I didnt ask for it.

witchery and wicca would be solely choice,
by this point so would vampirism.
i have yet to receive any kind of evidence to the contrary, and believe me i have been open to it.
i always saw wicca as a religion, something that every person decides for themselves, and if it wasnt, it would be witchery, which is basically the choice a person makes to utilize their natural-born talents, or the choice a person makes to learn them, because every talent is also a skill. Skills, as we know, can be learned, unless nature has also provided us with a deficiency, thorn in the side type flaw.
Blindness would be a good example.

For me there is not one solid path that I follow, I like having the ability to be able to chopice which I want to learn and which I intend to my own ways of things... I am by no way in the following of Wicca...As it has been stated just because you are a witch doesn't make you wiccan. as not all witches are wiccan but all wiccans are witches.

I chose to become what I am now today. It took me some time to decide which path to take.

At the age of 8 i got my first taste of 'magick' and since then never looked back. I tried christianity, satanism and paganism before deciding that chaos magicks are for me.

I have been practising chaos magicks since I was 21 and have studied a great many things in my search for knowledge.

I believe I was born with a strong psychic/empathic ability, which I have chosen to develop over the years. I do well with divination, and am very good at reading people as well, even those I barely know.

I do not believe that this makes me a witch, as that seems a choice, not something you are necessarily gifted with. I believe being a witch/wiccan is a decision made based on whatever spirituality you are looking for.

However, as far as being a vampire, while I have some vampiric traits, overall I do not feel that it is necessary to feed off of others energy, although I do draw from those around me, and it definitely affects me. I suppose I have a bit of the psi vamp in me...although until I found this site, I hadn't thought much about what that term means, although I had heard it before.

Again, this is just part of who I am - an empath, a witch, and a vampire, among many, many other things. I don't think that any of these adjectives define me on their own, so I don't broadcast these things unless asked - I don't want to be ridiculed by someone's incorrect opinion on what being a witch, or a vampire, mean.

So, while this is part of who I am, it's not all of me, just as I am not defined by my hair color, or how tall I am. My actions are decided as each moment requires them, and it's those decisions that define me as a person - how I react to those around me, the way I treat my friends and loved ones, and what I do with my time and skills, that make me who I am - it's hard for me to put a word to it and act as if that will sum up my spirit without taking in to consideration all the other things I am, have been, and could be.

As others have said, I as well do not wish to be judged or recieve negatively laced words, it is what I am. I am a Vampire, more or less. I do have a bit of wolf in me (but just 1/5). I also pocess a very powerful mind, as my spirit sister does. (yes we do some times feel the same thing, if concentrating I can see what she sees.) I suppose you could say I have a third eye. I see, and hear spirits, deceased beings I also see the future and the past (not all ways my past). I was raised catholic but am skeptic of one god, do not all religions pocess a god or god/goddesses? Would that not make them all in some way connected? Any way ha I did not choose what I am, I was born this way but I would wish it no other way. I believe every one has the power to change their views on life, it just requireth determination and a some what open mind. For those that feel there is no escape, don't think that way, there is all ways hope, in every situation perhaps not visible at first nor what you truely wanted but there is hope.

I'm a god! lol Who isn't though, right?

Seriously though, I'm many things. I believe in the powers of the Earth and the planets and the stars. I believe in Jesus, I believe in Satan. I believe they're very good friends. I've felt myself a vampire, I've felt myself an animal, I've felt myself without a body. I believe that I am you and you are me and I believe that we are all together.

I think that most people are completely full of crap and are armchair witches or pagans. Do you practice and hone your craft? Do you have evidence that supports your beliefs as they manifest around you? Can you teach another how to accomplish the same thing? If not, then you are in love with the idea of what you see yourself as being. I don't mean to cause problems, but it's the truth.

In the words of Tallahassee: Nut up or shut up!

As you said some have a choice and some feel that they are born this way. With me I had no choice. I was born the way that I am. But I had to find it in my own time. My family being a Christian family chose for me till I was around 28 . Then I found my own path as I knew growing up I was different and in doing so made me question my path.

And now I am a person who has formed her own path i believe in wicca but there is a lot of things that I have come across that I question about certain faiths. I am not stuck on one thing I have studied and done a lot of things and come to find that I was born the way that I am. And no religion or faith can tell me what I do is wrong or not in a specific form of religion.

So in turn I was born the way that I am but with but when it comes to faith I have my own beliefs.
