Do you find your destiny in your death or your death in your destiny?
I know which i think but some people see it the other way, so i thaught i'd post this to see what others think.
I find my death in destiny for a vampire the body dies but the souls in eternal. that is why we renenber things from past lives
I feel it is my destiny to die. So I guess I find my destiny in death.
I agree with Wildsorkid I believe you find you r dath in your destiny.
This is a 'big picture' question. It will be answered based on your personal perspective of where life ends and begins. If you believe in the 'afterlife' then your destiny can not begin until after you are dead. If you believe that physical life is the end then you can not help thinking that death is your destiny.
I agree with hurt souless... if you believe that life goes on beyond the physical then death is just a part of your destiny. I believe that...
I agree with hurtsoulless also - if you believe there is nothing after death, then I suppose death is the simple destiny for everyone. If there is an afterlife including Heaven, Hell, reincarnation, etc., then death could be your destiny in a different way (or part of it in the case of reincarnation).
Being as everyone dies Trivia I think it's safe to say it is our destiny...
Death for this body is inevitable. It WILL happen. Destiny .....I create my own with the choices I make in my journey.
Death will end this particular journey but my destiny will continue into the next phase based on what choices I have made along the way.
The moment you are conceived you are destined to die. As hurt souless mentioned, after death I'll begin a new journey.
I can't label a destiny. I look at things differently I guess. You can make your own destiny, I have done it.
Born to live.live to die.but being a vampire,i,m curious to see what happens next.but the soul is eternal.
Honestly I've stopped believeing in destiny, i just let things unfold as they happen and I am no afraid to die, i know it will have to happen eventually.
As we are all human, death is a certainty, an absolute. By definition, that is our destiny.
Is my destiny in my death? No.
Beat me to it BeautifullySadistic, well said. I was going to say... Isn't everyone's death their destiny?
I dont beleive in desteny but I do think death is a thing or event no one can run away from, like the saying goes: There are 2 things sure in this lifetime, the taxes and death.
So if you see it as an event you ant escape form then yes it is the desteny of all, but if you consider desteny to be a gaol then no.
I think I'm reading the question a little differently. I'm thinking that maybe once you fulfill your destiny you die. Or maybe upon death, you realize what your destiny was.
DEATH IS OUR DESTINY, FOR WHAT LIES BEYOND WHEN OUR SOUL DOES TAKE FLIGHT IS STILL A MYSTERY. FOR SOME HAVE PASSED AND CAME BACK WITH THOUGHTS OF THE AFTER LIFE. YET DEATH ONLY AWAITS ME.
I think our destiny is not determined by death. Living is why we live and while there may be an end result to this physical realm we inhabit, it does not mean that it is our final chapter.
Meeper totally hit the nail on the head. Death is not destiny, it is inevitable. Our destiny, or paths in life, and defined by the choices we make while living this life and the way we come about our ultimate destiny. I feel destiny falls far before death, as it is something one is meant to do within their lifetime. Death is the end of said lifetime, and while at the time of death our destiny is ultimately completely, it is not met for the first time.
Since destiny by definition is the end of the way, shouldn't death be destiny?
i say that death will come to us either way, it is destiny to die and it is destiny to live and to do what you encounter. it is destiny to meet some wonderful ppl that can relate to or piss off. there is always a begining and an end
Well, isnt it in ones destiny to meet up with death? Well, meh this is a confusing thing. I mean when a person becomes a Vampire then it is destiny that they are dead... Meh
that's not a very good question. destiny is something that was meant to happen to you, like fate. death happens to everybody. so in a way, death is everyone's desitiny
I find my death in my destiny because our destiny is eventually to die but it is not the end so death is only apart of my destiny
Definitely death in my destiny. The fact that I am going to die is written in stone. I can only come back and do better next time.
Your born and then grow soon after you begin yo slowly die then you are reborn all over again.
Ghost
Death is merely the state of no existance, or the outing of energy to transfigurate into another life form. Destiny is a fantasy indulgence created and dictated by the thoughts of men, to supplement the question to their evolutionary lonliness.
For some of us there is a destiny something I think a select few are meant to do something great. The only thing is I think you have to actually work for it alot of people expect greatness to fall in their lap
the only certainty we have in life is that our mortal shell dies, So yea, death is our destiny
Everyones destiny & fate is death, it's inevitable, it doesn't make any one of us special because it happens to us all, theres no such thing as "immortals", if there is, I've never heard of one
I find that my "destiny" is to watch others die. My soul will always live on so I have never really died. Not in my sence of the word anyway. But I choose to follow the words "your destiny is what you make it.". I'm not sure who said that.
I find my death in destiny,as I believe in reincarnation.
I would say destiny in death.
I believe we choose our life before we live it, to learn certain aspects in our souls.
Therefore, until my death, I will not have learned my destiny as fulfilled or to be repeated.
Destiny in your death is what I believe. This being I feel you have somewhere else that I need to be when die, or else what would be the purpose in leaving this existence.
I believe that Death is in a person's Destiny. Death is very brief and it leads from this world to the next. It lasts for a brief period of time, while for the average person, Destiny could last anywhere from 50-100 years.
i think i'm just destined to die one day ... other that than i dont know
I would suggest that you read some of the writings of Neale Donald Walsch. He is the author of Conversations with God and What Does God Want.
Neale states there is not a blackboard in the sky with your destiny written on it. We all create our own destiny.
This is what I believe.
I personally see that destiny and death are pre-concieved before our life starts .And see it as a joint partnership they share. But as I said this is my personal thought.
my death is my desinty.. where ever my body stops and dies at my soul will roam to find another living body to enter.
I have then this question for those buying into DarkAngelShadowDancer's school of thought. Where and when did your 'life' begin?
Very deep question which I could make a case for either way. But this is not debate so I believe my destiny lies in my death. (physical death) To say why, short version, I had nothing to do with coming into this world but hope to have something to do with leaving it.
We are all destined to die, buy i believe my true destiny will begin after my death.
death is ur destiny it is the only thing u were born to do. even if u believe ur sole lives on ur body dies and as such u r distend to die.
i think death is the destiny each and every one of us should experience since we are all born to live and to die..
I think it would be death in destiny because you could fulfill your destiny but the outcome my be death...if that makes any sense, well it does to me anyway:P
i find my destiney in my life and what i do not my death because in most deaths you can do nothing
No one can escape death, but this does not mean we have to fear it. I live my life to the fullest everyday. and when death comes, i will greet it with arms open. it is everyone's destiny to inevitably die. This however doesn't mean we have to live life like we are already dead.
Death in destiny. You can't escape destiny being it is what controls your life and fate that makes it happen. The end being death.
I believe your death lies somewhere lurking in your destiny.
There is no destiny but there is death even if we don't even know is this only an illusion but there are so many questions which we can't explain
I see them separately. Death is guaranteed and not a destiny. How one dies or what they achieve before their death would be their destiny.
A point well said, yet what lies in our destiny is death. we can not avoid or cheat death, for darkness will cover all of our souls. so death is a destiny we all must achieve.
death of this body is destiny though i belive the soul lives on
I think that you find death in destiny because you would try so hard to change your destiny that you would do something dumn. But myself i don't fully believe in destiny i think its some thing people use to cope through life where as others like myself think its you who make you destiny.
Why does destiny have to end with death? or vice versa? If you think outside of the box it opens up a entire new level of reasoning and thinking.
No one gets out alive... that's humanity.
And it's not useless because of it. Just think how lucky we are today to have the foundations and discoveries from those before us to make things as easy as they are in the modern world.
Your destiny is to live, hopefully learn along the way. I know some people don't care at all if they are contributing to the world in a positive way- but it sure would be nice since so much has been handed to us on a silver platter from those who HAVE cared.
Revealed in your death? Who is it revealed to? And who can say it's revealed to the dead since we're all alive here?
Destiny in Death??? YOU'RE DEAD! How can there be a destiny after you're dead?
And for those of you believing life after death.......... How many destinies do you really need? Because all that is going to happen EVERYTIME you die is you move on to a new life, right?
Make your own destiny people, live your own life. Don't let someone else or "thing" live it for you.
In making further contribution to this thread it sounds like, Destiny and Death are both journeys we undertake in life.
Destiny lies in death. At the end of the road begins a new road instead. Death is a temporary goal. The road of destiny winds to that gate and beyond the deathgate is one destiny. A destiny that reaches beyond the stars. A destiny that begins a whole new journey.
I look forward to it. I use the road to learn what I need to reach that goal.
I find my destiny as I live.
Once I die, others may make conjectures as to what they believe my destiny may have been.
From the moment we are conceived it is known to our mother and father that we will at some point in our life die....therefore i believe that we are destined to die no matter what.
It is part of the circle of life, we are brought into life, we give life, we have life taken from us.
Yes it is destiny, but not from our births, but from the very second we are conceived.
I think Death is the desinty of all, but to live on forever in history, that is the destiny of few.
