The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I am aware that vampyrism is viewed as fetish/fascination, lifestyle, and pandora's box. But I was wondering why everyone decided to join the site and what their intentions were once they joined (i.e. roll playing, information, congregate, hunt, etc.)

When I came here I just wanted to meet new people who were into the same sorta scene I was into. I have made tons of new friends :)

I must admit that DarknessBound dragged me here. At first I thought the vampire theme was a bit intimidating. I never in a million years thought I would meet such wonderful people. I was eager to learn more about the darker aspects of life (vampirism, occult, Goth). It has certainly been a pleasure being a part of this wonderful community. I have a much better understanding of it. I definitely feel comfortable embracing a darker life style.

About GotBlack.com.... It's the only site 'similar' to VR that I would ever recommend. I know the site creator from my Vampire Radio days... He's a good guy.

Although in terms of overall experience, VR and GotBlack are pretty different...

I joined this site cause I felt like it.

I came about this site as an accident..
I was very uneasy about joining since I thought this was another role playing site.. but as I went through the site I saw that there were similar people like me and now I'm glad I joined.

From what I can recall for some reason it took me a while to make up my mind to create a profile, I don't know why.. but anyhow I always found this site fascinating, I used to browse in for info, then it gets into blood or something..

I discovered the site from #vampires,mirc a chatting programme,but only some months later I decided to join the site.I hasitated since I don't follow a vampiric life style.But the purpose was,to meet people from around the world who tought they could be somewat like me and with the same interests:)

For a start, i dont see vampirism as a fetish lifestyle, I see it s an alterior perspective on energy utilisation, and this is the aspect that i practice and am interested in. i m also intrestd in parallel subjects, so i wanted to meet others who shared this, and learn new stuff.

I found this site totally by accident. Checked it out, liked what I say and opened an account. I came here for the information and to meet like minded people. I have met some wonderful people on here and you know who you are. The people are what keeps me here and all the new information.

well, as Raven and alot of others, i stumbled upon VR while looking for some books and fangs, so i checked it out, and as it is, as we all know, higly adicted, i am here since november...and am not planing to go...

Zexerz- that's basically how it is with me as well. Someone on VampireFreaks.com had a banner and a link to VR in their profile, so due to my overwhelming need to find out what VR is, I came here, and found it so interesting. BTW this place is MUCH better than VF, I'm just pissed that I got a PM for there less than a month ago, and I've already found something better..... oh well, I shall have a PM here soon enough. I basically came here to find interesting people with similar interests and find out more about myself.

I found this web site by accident as well, I was looking for information on danny Elfman & was directed here. I found it pretty awesome. I have always been facinated by vampires and have recieved a lot of new information about the life style &pardon the term Myths.

Yes, it was by acident, as I was looking for Theatre des vampires, and thinking on going to bed. Right...After I found this, I went to bed 12 hours later; and here I am, to learn and share. I'm adicted and I love it. I got in, and don't want to get out.

I found the site from Vamire Radio, of which I was a long time listener. Every couple of months I'd check the site to see if anything was ever put back into production. One day I clicked on the rave link. Discovered it was run by Cancer and automatically paid for a year's PM before I even made a profile.

This site allows me to air out my darker stories and poems. It also gives my dark side a chance to stretch from the day of having to lay quietly.

The Vampire Radio is no more, thanks to the prudes at the RIAA. There are archives of the live shows still there, however.

it started like this, i was havin some problems and i started talking to a friend of mine while sitting around b.s.ing with my friend he told me about VR and showed me it. i liked what i saw, a bunch of creative intelligent people to surround myself with knowledge humor and people who have similar ideas.

I came to seek others like myself...

Im here to meet new people that have some or many of the same interests that I do......Vampirism is a fade for most....but the true ones will be around forever....in a sense.

I found this wonderful place out of a Google search I believe. I also wanted to talk to fellow vampires people who have the same interests I do. I love this site.

i first found out about this site from darknessbound and deity. at first they were always talking about it and would always hurry home to get online and talk about it and who was online and who siad what about who and all that sort of stuff. at first i wan't into it whatsoever. to be honest, i was scared of it. it was't untill i was the offical photographer for the frist of many "photoshoots" that i saw the beauty in it all.

I came across it by accident and decided to join because it seemed like a good way to pass the time and have now meet a handful of interesting ppl.

I was just searching for anything about vampires and found this site. It's basically been an addiction ever since. I've met some pretty cool people with similar interests to my own on here, now I get orders for Iraq with the Army, so I guess I'll have to substitute this addiction with something else. I must admit, I will definitely miss reading comments/posts from Empress. Maybe she'll write me while Im there....

Well I stumbled across this site while looking for Vampyric sites. Joined for a while, then left. Came back and been hooked ever since. Its such a nice place, everyone is friendly. Like a second home, a second family.

I got this site from Dark Wolfman, good friend. Checked it out loved it. Kept it in my thoughts now its my escape from the all S*** that goes wrong in my world.

Well i put a whole section in my profile sepcifically for this subject but basically i was searching the web for Fang implants and Solid black full eye contacts i came apon a good sight and after browing it completly i say an advertisement for this site i decided to click the link and instantly i fell in love with the vampiric layout and later the complex ranking, awesome profiles, nice people and uptodate information. this place has become like a home for me.

I am a vampire buff, i live the lifestyle, fetish, the reads all of it, i came across this site and i fell in love. i knew i had found a place where nobody would judge what i was into. I came here to meet people and to expand my horizons. so far i have yet to be dissapointed.

ok here's my interesting story... I first got to this site through #vampires on Mirc, cause everyone kept mentioning it, and after a really long time I decided to visit, but then I joined immediately! And I got to #vampires through LadyBlood, cause I met her in the school library one day and she was chatting on it! But I was always keen on the vampire way of life!

One day, I was researching Vampirism and I seen this link, so I click on it. It ended up being here and I looked around and about. I found this all very interesting and I had a good instinct about this site. So I joined, and ever since, I am craving the addiction.

I also have come here to, of course, learn more about Vampirism and whatnot. Also, to meet others of my kind and others as well.

My friend SilentSuccubusRayne gave me the link. So, I came and looked around. Shortly after I joined I found out more about my....inheritance...as well as what others consider it to be/think of it. But overall I joined to be a part of a community that has similar interests in blood.

To put it lightly, Cancer has been on the scene for a good many years. His Vampire Radio reached many thousands of people and was in production for many years. He is well respected, and he has earned it. It is merely logical that when someone who has been something of a mover and shaker starts something new, it will be investigated. Word travels fast and Cancer attracts good people. There have been some bad apples, but that is like anything else, you merely have to pick them out.

Initially I came here because the description says "The ultimate vampire resource and directory" I have been researching vampires, demons, fallen angels, and other mystical/mythical creatures for many years and have become addicted.

As an occultist and demonologist I feel like I should learn what others of like mind have learned. Needless to say this site was not what I expected at all. But I have enjoyed meeting the new people and making new friends who share the same interests as me.

Even though I am not of a Goth or Vampire background.. I came to VR in support of my GF who is very much into the Goth community and very into the Vampire scene. I have found that the members of VR for the most part have accepted me into their folds in spit of my weirdnes (like that matters here)..

I hope to make as many of you a friend of mine... and when stuck in dark places... that is a very good thing..
