Do you believe in "gods" & "immortals"? There are some that say in ancient Egypt there were many of this so called "gods". Now I wonder since they claim that they are "gods" & as well some of them as well said to have found their body’s in tombs "DEAD". Now what I have been lead to believe by so many is that a "god" cant die as well as an "immortal" only slight different A "god" would have control of even an "immortals" life. Now there are many version, one I can think of which happens to completely contradict themselves would be the fact that, "gods" looked just like us, having two legs, two arms, a body must of their body’s are told as if such were more of body builders than anything, & as well a head, some of them having a head of an animal that it is known to us. Now the point where the people that believe in such theory contradict themselves would be that this "gods" always hated, or were always mad/angry to human society. Now if a "god" having so much power & hating so much the human race, only needing it to feast on them, why would they even want to look like us? As well as "if" in fact they are so powerful & cant die, of course this is all said thru does who believe in this theory, how come some of this people have said that they have found & seen the body/s of this "gods" I mean if they are immortals, I would think the last place to look for them would be in a tomb... Well this forum is made on just a thought I just came up with & decided to post it up. Knock yourself up if you like & say whatever you think of this & other theory’s out there.
I am not sure I would say I believe because I have not really put thought to it. I guess I would have to say I believe people gave the name gods to something they really couldn't explain as far as immortals I believe a spirit can carry on so in away yes one can be immortal. Phiscally immortal no I do not believe it possible. This is just my oppinion.
i believe, not always sure why but i do.
in egypt the pharoah was actually viewed as a god. if you follow the story of moses in the bible you actually find out that the plagues were directly challenging the egyptian gods(useless info)
gods may have physical forms that "die" thier spirt & normal self....still live on... just the make physical hosts for themselves & live with us... I myself don't have a god...because my belief is that I am my only god as many others have the saem belief....but I don't shun any1 else's beliefs 'cause that would make me ignorant...
I would have to say that I don't beleive in God or immortals. but that would be because I am the type that need prove. If i don't see, I don't believe it.
i believe in a one greater power who created and can influence all. i also believe in the continuance of a spirit, but not an "immortal" body
ye i believe in god and imortality and all that other stuff like that...there cont just be us mere mortals right?
I guess it really depends on your definition of god. Do you see god as a single entity that rules all the universe or do you believe in multiple gods. I don't know i haven't really thought about it much before.
theres so many different religions and what not out there now that i cant believe anymore
I believe that there were immortals whom pretended to be a god to those who believed. They gave them the title because, most people who believe in gods don't believe in immortals, so the immortal portraying the god was probably believed to be one... My opinion, that make any sense?
yes i believe to some extent but i don't believe unlike the egyptions in the after life but i believe in reincarnation
Dont take me wrong here I mean no direspect, but I have heard this "wicca" religion or whatever it is so many times they make it sound like a cult you pay 20 an hour to see some mobo jombo with lights... anyways its how many have made it sound like, of course I have no idea of what it is, now for the rest of you thanks for your comments just keep them coming, I am rather liking the way many of you think.
seeing im probably agnostic im a bit sceptic about it. seeing i have pagan tenencies i can imagine it is possible though
its an interesting thought...*ponders* depends on ur beleif system as to how u would approach this...very interesting though
I believe in a single God. Different religions just have different names for him. Immortality is make believe.
I do and don't believe in god(s).
I do have to agree with Novarius about the pharohs of egypt believing that they were gods. Had to do with the whole religion thing and having those in egypt to worship the pharoh himself, etc.
to kill a god or if somthing was a god and dies
were does that leave the race that follows such things
do not gods provide sowho provides if there god has RIP i am imortal my energy shal survive if i go
I do believe that there is something very powerful out there, but choose not to give it a name. As for being immortal, that I believe can't happen, but once the body dies, the memory lives on forever and makes some infamous. So it all depends on the person you are asking as to what they believe.
I have a feeling there is something bigger than us that is behind the scene's as it were but I do not know what exactly (maybe am not supposed to??)
I do not believe in a god or immortal's to an extent but I was told once every single story ever told has a truth or fact in it, it's up to us to see what exactly.
I have heard and read MANY stories so my mind is ever so slightly open to a belief that there is a possibility for immortality.
You never know???
i believe there is something out there but i dont understand what it is
wwell egyptians had a very deep and advanced culture..new evidence sugjests that the aztecs and maiyans where actually at one point either colonies of the egyptians that simply..just..forgot about theirt home land or their homeland forgot about them..and they mixed into the local indian tribes and or..they traded with thr aztecs and miayans
we know egyptians had technology that was pretty out there..some say they even invented a battery like thing
if you mean gods of the acient world..some did hate humanity..but you have to remember that the non anti human gods kept them in check forming a very delicate
balance..much like russia and us during the cold war lol..democracy kept comunisim in check and visa versa lol
in any case...in terms of immortals..i beleive that..it is possible..to in a sense acheive imortality
the human mind has limitless possbilities..and threw sheer force of will and desire..anythng can be acomplished...
some times..when a man is really injured and is told he wont make..and he feels he has too much to loose..threw sheer force of will he can pull threw and recover
its possible we could 'will' ourself immortal..but then again anything is possible lol
back to many gods...do i beleive in them? i do..but i dont beleive they where gods
in terms of the age of the earth..four billion years...humanity has been around for roughly a million years..(i mean modern humans)
we have only recorded history of the past ten thousand years.. witch means alot of our history as a race is well unknown
its possible humanity..may have at one point had a thrviing civilzation and sudenly a calamnity befell that civilzation
say a war or what ever.and the human race was so utterly devastated they where scent back into the stone age.
Its possible the stories of that era would have survived in some way or another..and then..interperated as 'gods' and what not
what do you guys think?
I beleive in immortals and several gods. although I may not like all of them.
I am my own "god", in the fact that i will not be judged by what I do or say by anyone or anything. I make own my decisions of what i will do. If anyone says they have the RIGHT or POWER to judge me....let them come to me. I will decide if they are worthy to be my "god".
interesting thoughts germztheworm....that could also link in with the fact that even in different religions there are some strong similiarities....if what u said occured the same pattern would be evident...in regards to the aztecs and mayans it has been hypothosised (dont know if proven) that they were egyptians that sailed to explore and like white settlers did they settled and spread the empire
I think Danzig made a very good point.
This "gods" with animal heads that we know, proves to me that Man Kind will make the Gods to their own image, or will "borrow" to the personification of the abstract, something that can be concieved by the mind.
As for the hatefull gods, or the non-intervention of those deities, it makes me think of the concept of free-will.
I refuse to believe that I'm a puppet in the huge hands of an enormous kid with an ant farm.
I think Man Kind gave the gods the look that they found more apropriate to their beliefs. One of the examples is the blonde and blue eyed Christ, painted for centuries in Europe, when we all know that being born in the middle-east, he was more likelly to be dark skinned, and have black hair and eyes. But to the europeans, the dark skined man was either a moir, or a peasent, so they could not paint a faithfull image that would represent the perfect son of god based on those characteristics.
As for gods being real, and apearing to humans to give away a message, they would have to do it in a way that the human could comprehend, and first, the form in which they apear would have to be concieaveble to the Man.
Like it was said in a very intelligent movie (The Moth Man Prophecies) "How would you explain yourself to a cockroach?"
I think it all depends on the interpretation. Some things are true, either you believe in them or not, though...
The "gods" which I believe in are ideas. They have been created by humanity to make it easier to understand the how's and why's of life, and the world. As such they are immortal, for it is only when we become forgetful that they die. As long as we remember the ideas, then they live. If that made any sense.
i do believe, however i agree that the human mind is to feeble a closed to understand or define a true being-earth "giaa" speaks for itself just read giaa's revenge
i do believe in Gods for its how my religion is taught...but in some religions, gods were once mortal who achieved immortality through reincarnation or worship
I do believe that magic exists, in the "power of nature"...
Although I have a hard time believing what I can't see for myself, I don't believe in God... Catholicism and all those kinds of religions are just crap to me, no one knows if it's really true...
And all the Egyptian and Ancient Greek Gods and so on, all of it is just fiction to me really.
im with industrialized on this i need physical in my face proof before ill believe in a god ..many consider nature and mother earth a goddess .i respect that because i am living in it and touch it daily as it touches me back but its an entity i dont know id call it a god or goddess though .cause well think about it if it is considered such we humans horribly deface it and treat it awfully daily ..what kind of worship is that for a so called diety :) so when a human being is presented to me showing me many miracles then ill believe in god but til that point nope cant do it lol
That's why the word faith.
Meaning:To believe without proves.
I hate to believe without proves but I hate to ignore the possibilities.
No one can say it's true it's just faith,or you have it or you don't.
I do Believe In god's but I do not think they look like us .
Just like us our bodies are apart of there own universe millions of cells working together to form organs tissue and bones.
Is a single Brain cell aware of how important there job is or a white blood cell fighting away illnesses im sure they dont know there apart of a bigger picture.
Now we On the planet eath are like the same White blood cells Keeping the earth safe from All things that Harm it " viruses"
And red blood cell living there lives never aware of a single bad thing coming into play "blind"
If you look at earth from far away we look like a single cell with
I believe that single cell makes a bigger picture
I.E. Universe Could be The Mind Of One God
They say we were made in there image
Yes because we are our own little universe Gods of our very own being
I have a hard time believing in any gods to tell you the truth. I can't help but wonder that if there's supposed to be a higher power out ther protecting us his/their creations why would he just ignore the fact that we keep destroying each other?
I beleive that there are immortals living among us and those who posses special abilities. These entities could have been seen as gods and goddesses by mortals.
In ancient times when mortals had limited knowledge of what was and what could be, these entities took advantage of the their lack of vision and ignorance and ruled over them as gods and goddesess.
Like all living things immortals can die, their lifespan is just extended far past a regular human's lifespan. And they also have ways that they can be killed other then living for 500 or so years.
i believe in fate and that there may be a higher power...haven't met "it" yet so i really wouldn't know!
This next question is based on "what if". According to many of you, believe in many things, thats life, but if you look again on your own comments you'll see that none say the real why in why do you believe in "w/e it is that you believe" so one questioned that poped up in my mind just now would be, What if in the end when you have past this life, there would be only one thruth, of course not been the one you want or like, what then? Some of you say you are your own god, in a way I might understand, meaning you do not wish to be no ones puppet, & I do admire this from many of you yet as said & repeted above what if you were not a puppet but still had HIM*does not matter* & you would find out the one thruth, meaning the one thruth you in this life never wanted to ever hear? Would you regret even your own existence? Would you rather give your life to aanything else just to not believe in the thruth? Remember this is just based on a "what if" Dont go staring chuping heads off byt mearly try to think a bit more than what your mind says.
Great post.
After this, I can olny quote one of the best movies made out of the concept of faith:
"Frankie: Hey, you know what's scarier than not believing in God? Believing in him. I mean, really believing in him. It's a fucking terrifying thought." - Stigmata
Yeah I understand it is about 'what if.'That's why my last post cause I was seeing a lot of give me prooves etc...
As for your last post I am ready to any possibility.
I myself tought about those questions.
Practically it's like life.Who didn't expirience disapointment in his life?
That's why I prefer to keep it on possibilities cause am ready for any result.Whatever it is I'll accept it.
Keeping in mind it is a :what if" thread lets keep on this line for a minute, are you really ready to accept anything?
Yes why shouldn't I?
Acoording to the god thing obvisiouly.]
If it is a very bad suprise that would be a disapointment.
Well no, it would be a bad surprise, just that I just thought you or any other which I still await their responds on this would have beeen, you rather *w/e* before accepting anything more less from GOD " " somebull.... like that I was thinkign but hey I am gettin better ideas of you guys from the comment you have been giving. :)
thanks deicide
and yeah accept thast..unlike the eroupean settles..egypt has had a flourshing power for atleast ten thousand years
its a definate possiblity
that the egyptians might have established ther own over seas empire- i dont beleive the mayans and aztecs rebelled
i think that over time..the civlilzations just..went on their own...
i think the egyptians...sort of just.got tangeled up in their own internal problems..
or you could interperate ramisi war with the mysterious "sea poeple" that could have been the united mayans and azrtecs and incas fighting for their indapdence
or if you beleive in the chariot of the gods theory
maybe aliens are our ancient gods lol too much a stretth to think an alien species would think of us as cheap labour?
heck maybe thats where the vamp myths come from
maybe some aline race fed on our bio energhy or blood to sustain itself..and then either we fought back or they simply just found another food source
yes, i beleive in all that stuff. but most gods are only portrade as gods because of other ppl giving them the name.
i don not believe in a god because the fact that there are gods has never been proven to me
Who is this "some that say" because I have studied a lot of history and have never heard of this....
witch are you talking about?
and for those of you sitll interested in this thread
read up on this theory
in the past alot of species other then homosapiens came very close to or came close to sentients
the raptors did they're brains where devloping..and it is unknown wheathe ror not they where ever a fully devloped civlzation but its implied they could have been..what ever caued the extiction of the dinos..also destroyed alot of land so their buildings and what not could have been totalled as well.
the human race could have been a highly advance civilzattion at one point beyond even that of our own
take the atlantis myth for example..its not too unreasonable to beleive that at one point thousan and thousands of years before us
our ancestors could have been something and then for what ever reason they all faded away..the survivors..carried on the "stories" of their "gods" and that ould have been the basis for the many ancient relgions
FOr what I have heard from this "atlantis" there were never any suvivors " ". So where the story's come from-who knows maybe it could of been from guy who saw it all happend from a far & unharmed- or simply a 40 year old dude living on his mom house[bored to death] & suddendly came up with this new story which eveyone has eating as a possabillity.
I dont really believe in any gods..but the concept does intrigue me. As has been stated, perhaps the gods were actually advanced humans and were thought gods due to their technology..Or perhaps they were all made up to make people feel better to have someone to blame and worship, or perhaps there really were..I dont know..
no no the greek heredotitus (sp) said that the only "race" old enough to have heard of and recorded the atlantis incident where the egyptians
heroditus heard the story of atlantis of one of the persian kings captured historians who was egyptian himself
when alexander the great conqoured the persian empire he spent time in egypt..one of the things he haerd of was of a ship of battered exausted poeple docked in the nile
they told a story of the destruction of atlantis and that they where survivors
interesting part of the story was the atlantians suposedly had a tan complection almost redish they spoke a bizare langueg but swiftly mastered the egyptian tongue..only a dozen or so survivved the voyage but their fantastic sttory lingered.
the alegd first contact came nine thousand years ago.
funny they're description was pretty firmiler redish skin? maybe atlantis was in the americas
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantis
looks here
yes i beleive in them. but i also agree with what you say as well. their is more to it then what ppl say. and alot of it is hidden so know one knows about it.
well that and alot is simply just lost to time
you have to remember traditons and stories change over the centuries and with eahc generation
so alot of myth and legendd we have to go on now..jhas been watered down bye the sands of time and bye the ulteration of human mind and opinion
a thousand years from now...this discusion might be between two gods over a mystical demension
think about it if our current civilzation is utterly vanquished and the survivors rever to the olds times
how would they explain all this heh i can think of a way
"surely they where as gods who made this place"
and then another will reply "no..they simply where./.."
thats essentially a possiblity of how our current "gods" came around
i believe in gods because of my religion but not imortals
I find it safest and easiest to make my stand right on the fenceline when it comes to the unexplainable. I have a very agnostic view of all of these things, Gods, ghosts, the occult, etc. Since I have neither the faith to say that they do exist nor the evidence to show that they don't, I prefer to believe that all of these things could be possible.
i wonder..if any being powerfull enough to create all this would really give a damn about destiny?
what if thats the implication of free will
we're just ants an infinately large ant farm
Something is there...I believe we are too stubborn to go out and look for it...So some just make up stories or something like that...I don't agree with Middle Eastern religions mostly...They are all focused on pleasing a god that you have no proof of...In the Far Eastern religions, they are more focused on the inner self...They say you need to reach a perfect point to be enlightened...These religion don't focus on a god at all...Many people believe that Buddhist worship The Buddha but they don't...They respect him for what he went through...Maybe there is no god out there...But there is something god-like...
As for immortals...Of course I believe...I am...
lol i agree about budhism
as for middle eastern relgions...zohorastiansim is all about inner balance and harmony and i think they beleive in reincarnation i'm thinking thats what its about)
the muslims are the one who beleive they are ultamately the servents of god and nothing else.
as for immortals...show me proof of some one who has been alive for two plus centuries and still looking young and healthy and i'll beleive..do radio carbon dating on his or her tissue rto get confirtmation once i have it on paper then i'll beleive it or if i see it
ofcorse i dont think vampires should be counted as immortals..immortals are poeple who ever die..and are always healthy they stay eternally young.
live unlimited lifes is not to be undead
vamps/lycans shouldint be considered immortals since they had to "die" first
and where never resurected they just..linger..thats not life..thats not imortality..thats just simply being there
it must be a sad way to be too.i would think
Yes!! I believe in a lot of things and that is definetely one thing i do believe in!!
I am surprised it is an intersting theory but i will not place to much stock in it.
Nice comment everyone, I hope to hear more for I know theres bound to be even from the same person diffrent ways of thinking.
i do believe to a point but if there is a god hes one sick fuck
lol the lord has a twisted sense of humour
and is very ironic..heh i wonder if he's just a cruel kid with a mangiying glass and we're the ants
i do not believe in "gods" but i do believe that there is some force that controls everything in our lives. everything that happens happens for a reason.......
I believe in something but as to what would take up way to much time to explain here but if you are interested then message me and ask and I will tell you
As to the what if...maybe there is something out there but what I personally believe is that you can't really change what your fate is. No matter what you do to try and stop it there's nothing you can do. So when we do come to the final judging hour then our faults come into the light. And we are judged on both what we've done in the past and both how much we have truly changed.
i was watching The Santan Clause and there was a very good quote that should be in everyones thought when one says they do not believe in what they can not see.
"have you seen a million dollars?"
"No!"
"Just cuz you have not seen it does not mean that it isnt real."
no one has see air, but we all believe it to be there (yes its been proven now, but even back then before it could be proved it was still believed in)
I believe there are many gods, as there are many religions. That does not mean that I put my faith in them or follow them.
i believe..... it is an impossibility that this world happenes to be able to sustain life by chance......
Hail Esbat....
i do but i dont believe, sometimes i think its just a myth but sometimes i really think its true..
I don't believe in any God. Mainly because it can't be proved, but also because I find the thought of a higher being(s), one that rules over all of us and decides are Fates and everything else...it's a bit unrealistic to me.
I believe that we make our own Fate. And nobody rules over us but ourselves.
i do not believe in gods. every so often, because i do not live under a rock, i will be humorous and say "the gods of (for example) rock have blessed me today." it is all in fun, wading through society. i am open to the idea of immortals. i would love to meet one to confirm my...suspicions....but i am not sure that i really believ.e it is to much to worry about right now.
I dont know if i would say i would believe Gods to be immortal, considering with how often they have kids they would be over populated you know.
I believe the gods themselves are immortal. I am heavily into the Egyptian type of what people call mythology. I think that people in Egypt looked to the pharoahs as signs of the Gods. They were to be symbolic to the Gods they worshipped. I believe in reincarnation and an after life as well. I believe if our soul is done on this earth then it can well head for what I will call the Summerland. That is the Pagan term for heaven. I believe that if the goddess thinks that we have not finished our right path in life that she sends our souls to be reborn in new bodies. As for me believing that gods are immortal yes I do. But as my friend seawitch once told me, earth is our mother and if we keep abusing her immortality will die, and she will get angry and take her revenge upon the inhabitants of earth.
I believe in Gods and Goddesses. I do not believe in immortality.
i believe in it all........ well duh there is an all and mighty god......... and far as imortals go...... i believe in them as well....... there is so much id like to say about this as i fight with ppl about it all the time...... but it's too hard to explain here........
heheh
this is a very complex subject
i think..the unverse is very deep very mysterious..did a higher power create it?
probably
are the gods and aleged inmmortals in our religion rreal?
sure why not..or they could have been alien like in star gate lol
as for the wiccan post
would a god..have gender? god or goddess?
why would such a vast and infinate creature need a gender?
why the hell iwould such a being even bother impersonating a human
thats another thing about mythology
relgions seems to make our "god" or "goddes" a very insecure thing
i would think anything with the ability to create on such an epic scale would simply not give a shit weather those in gods creation worshipped him or her
any being powerfull enough to create all this must surely know no matter who beleivs in devine existense or who dosent..it still exist it sitll created
my opinion if there is god out there..i doubt he is a she or even a he
i would think the devine is simply...eeveryhting that is what will be and could be
such a thing really wouldint care what the hell happend to us
GermzTheWorm, you have a couple of points made that I just have to respond to. As a beginning studier of theology, I've often wondered why a God who knows that he (for the sake of writing clearly) is an all-knowing, all-powerful being, would need the love of us humans.
The Bible (most Christian versions) claim that God wants us to love him. And they also say that it's because of what he's done for us that he says we should love him.
My first problem with that is...why should we love somebody just because of what they've done for us? Outside of good parents, who do we love in this world that has only done something good for us? I find that to be a rather impractical view on things.
And it's not just that. It's also the fact that if we don't love (worship) him, we will not be granted eternal life. We will, depending upon your belief, go to Hell or just simply die, be nothing more ever again, while those who did follow him will be living a life of perfection for eternity.
That's just one more reason why I find it hard to believe.
its instersting how the world started out with mainly pagan religion
I believe in immortals. I believe that gods are just immortals who have been around longer than any who just want to make a higher name for themselves. But that is just my opinion
to VindictiveChaos
i'm sure god exists i doubt heavily that he needs us to love him..but i do think chroistians wrote that....into the ninle to keep poeple inline
back to my theory on gods and immortals i dont beleive zues and amon ra existed as gods..i dont beleive immortals are real
i do beleive amon ra and zues did exist...in some way or another
as in what i said before about how is possible maybe that the "gods" could have been highyl advanced society that crumbled and the surbviors spread the stroiries of all that and down the centuries they went from being..men with technology to gods
or maybe the cheriots of fire theory is write and the gods where aliens
what is your take on that id'd like to know
"i'm sure god exists i doubt heavily that he needs us to love him..but i do think chroistians wrote that....into the ninle to keep poeple inline

You're right, God doesn't NEED us to love him, he demands that we do. It is the price that we pay for our creation.
As for the anceint, mythical Gods...my personal take is simliar to your's, but not quite the same. I believe that these Gods and Goddesses were actually humans, mortals, who did something so wonderful for their society (inventions, caring for others, etc.) that they were elevated to a God-like status. But, in sync with your theory, as these stories were passed down from generation to generation, they became Gods and Goddesses rather than just people who were loved and Cherished as such.
I believe in aliens. But I don't believe that they have anything to do with any higher being at all.
Germz, I am surprised someone so versed in Egyptian history would be so quick to dismiss the idea of the alien theory. You should read up on the Nefilim. It will never be proved but it will make you think.
i think immortals are real but they do not realize it them selves
God(s)?
I think most of the rules generalized by the first post are somewhat distant.
I think that most Gods that descend on a people in a mortal form are not GODS! If anything, they are Demi-Gods. Lesser gods, who still provoke and demand the worship of a mass of people. In most cases, a demi-god is in disassociation with a greater God,... which are those who do not so 'easily' come to flesh just to rule over a people. I even believe some of these Demi-Gods are in betrayal of greater, moreso moral gods, therefore declaring them as 'Devils'... Immortals can fit into the self-promoting 'God' category. ....
Some pretty decent discussion here, it all makes good reading, thanks!
I believe in a lot of things, but I don't believe in gods and immortals in the sense of which you speak...
then again it often has to do with your perception of things ... such as immortal..
The kings of Egypt are immortal, even though they are dead their names fall from people's lips every day... thousands of dollars and hundred of hours are invested in their location and recovery.... so it depends on your definations as well.. :-)
I beleive in Goddesses....as was stated earlier the mother earth alone I beleive is a goddess..I beleive mother earth takes care of us all in the way she provides items for food, shelter, clothing, etc....She provides for us and gives us herbs for medicines...so til anyone can prove to me about other gods...she is the only one I beleive in.
I don't really believe in much, but I belive that somewhere, there IS a thing known as a 'god'... I don't believe that it is a PERSON, because s/he cannot be perfect... It's more of an imagination.
~Poser
You know what... I was thinking about my answer earlier.. and I have to wonder... if someone writes a story down, aren't they playing "god" .... and the story makes them immortal... *think frankenstien or dracula*
so that works... right?
I feel that gods and deities are just those that have a much larger significant power than we have at this moment in time. Because there power is so much more than we can understand we would view them as Gods.
I don't think there is a "god" if you are refering to what the christian people call jesus. Immortals I do believe in..
God is a personalized concept created by humans to explain the unexplainable (based on tech at the time) and to feel a little less lonely and isolated...Most of the "pagan" ancient religions personified Ideals, or aspects of nature into gods...I think its actually really quite hysterical that everyone STILL thinks that what went on in Mesopotamia 5-6-7 thousand years ago is the end all be all, and that is where civilization as we know it began...Whose to say that the Mayans or Incans weren't the ones to settle Egypt?? And what about the Caucasions found in the columbia river valley dating back 10,000 years??? How the hell did they get there?? The Egyptians sure didn't have seagoing vessals at that time capable of transpacific crossings and neither did the Assyrians or anyone else in the Indo-Mesopotamian world at that time....WHo did?? Northern Europeans!!!! So until people get outside their preconceived notions of life in the Fertile Crescent as the beginning, it will NEVER be an adequate nor accurate argument...besides, based on the EARLIEST heiroglyphics found in egypt, the complete alphabetical and Kanji based writing system of the Korean peninsula is infinitely older anyway...so who taught who???
Whether I believe in them isn't the issue to me
If a pagan doesn't believe in hell, and this really ends up being a Christian world, that Wiccan's still going there.
well gods as in how they write it, no i dont believe in that.
but immortal, maybe, just not in the same body then i guesses
