My question is how many vampyres here where born that way, and who was embrassed or turned or however u want to say it. Thanks.
I'm not a vampire. I'm just different. And I born that way. Before you say anything not normal different...different different.
I believe every vampire is born with this "condition"
Just, most dont 'awaken' or 'embrace' it until their teen years, or older.
i don't knwo how it would work for others but I embraced the lifestyle after going through some real hell in my life and have continued on the path.
Yea, I'm not a Vampyre myself, but I've begun to embrace the lifestyle. I don't believe I'll ever get to the point of wanting to be a Vampyre completely, but I am enjoying the Rave and the lifestyle to a point
i feel that i was born a vmapire but it took me awhile to embrase that fact... amd now i have turned completly
You are born into the Condition of Vampyrism. It takes time to awaken, and some times we don't awaken during our teens, but in the late ages.
Yet there are reports of people awakening do to "Embrace" rites, but these same Embrace rites can also confuse normal people into believe that they are vampyres. With that now they try to actually pull energy from people when they actually don't need to.
So Embrace rites are a double edged weapon which can help and hinder the community.

yeah, im not sure. i'd go with i like the idea of the lyfestyle, but i...had a happi childhood :)

i was born weird :) but when i started to act more or so goth what people say was when i was 11
I have embraced the lifestyle. I am slowly starting to get deeper into it and I am seeing new things awaken inside of me. I wouldn't call myself a true one yet. Maybe one day or I could be mistaken. I don't know. I know others have seen signs of it in me.
i was Embrassed to have my Awakenin but i now see i was born with the Potential. i enjoy what i can from my curse though
I was able to do certain things as far back as I can remember. But, back then I never gave it much thought. As I grew older I started to embrace these things & learned all I could about them. To this day I still continue to learn.
I believe that you can be born, or you can be embraced. I myself never fully accepted what I was until a few months ago. This path for me is quite intriguing......
I've been predatory and different since I can remember so much as a flash. I think I might have turned out that way regardless, because of genetics, though I first drank blood at an insanely young age. Maybe it was my dads interest in vampire films that sparked it..but one thing is certain, I started off real young. So I couldn't tell you..was I 'sired' by television and a childhood obsession with monsters? Did I choose it as my own? I'm not too sure..the definition get's shady there. All I can say is that I am a vampire now, regardless of how I came upon it. Sorry I couldn't offer more.

I beleive vampirism is a creative expression for progressive and explorative personal pursuits. I was not born a vampire. I grew into one as I explored the possibilities.I wasnt thinking "I am a vampire" when I tapped into the first vein. I simply watched the first drop I drew flow and said , "hey I dig this." Perhaps now I am a true vampire by experience. because I have thirsted for more since.
I know this is going to sound cliche' but I have been the way I am for as long as I can remember. so when people talk about awakening I dont know anything about that. Except from what I have heard from other people, and read about. I am very fuzzy about the whole concept of embracing someone else.. I mean that just seems to me to be a little fishy.
I've been the same all my life...well actually no. But I've
been vamp all my life. My mum encourages it but i have to hide around my dad because he is very stereotypical
I was turned into a vampire at the age of eighteen...From then, I have been searching for my master, the man who turned me...So I can ask why?
I like the lifestyle I was forced to live to an extent...But now...I'm trying to find a way to go out in the sunlight...
True vampires are born but people can "catch" the virus...well thats what i have learned...
I cannot remember a time in my life when I was not this being, this vampyr. No fangs, no coffins, no stereotypical trappings of the vampire. I am shall ever be vampyr just as the Tiger ever shall be. I do not believe that one can be turned as such. I believe in the theory of awakening. To believe in turning is to believe that a species can spontaneously change, and that does not happen. There are mutations and adaptations; we see this everyday from the microbial level to the largest mammals. But each retains its own species.
Sigefried and Roy were pioneers in successfully breeding tigers and lions. As such, this feline is a new classification of the species felidae, but is NOT a new species.
Virii mutate but never do they become any other thing but virii. Bacteria cannot mutate into virii or mycoplasm fermentans.
Some vampyr are awake from earliest memory. Others are awakened later, either by self discovery or by the work of another. As an aside, I do not believe that being vampyr is a choice. You either are or you are not. It APPEARS to be a choice because many who are vampyr are never awakened.
By the way, A LOT of people will raise their eyebrows at my spelling of vampyr. It is a correct spelling albeit an archaic form of the word vampir. I have decided to refrain from using the word "vampire" anymore. To me it is not mere semantics but rather a societal paradigm. The vampire is the fictional construct that is artistically or otherwise manifested by actors and defined by synthetic archetypes bearing no relevance on the being known as vampyr(e).
Blessings to all

I was born like this but just discovered myself recently..It was different when I was younger...You did not have as many posers..
Hello.
With me I "Embraced" Married a Vampire, and lived with them for many Centuries,Even fought in a major war.
Hello everyone :-).. Me personally I have always been this way since i was a child. I crave blood, I hate the sun. Not that this alone makes u a vampire, but its me and I m ok with it.. Doesn't hurt that I also have a deep fasination with anything Vampyric.
after reading something posted in another thread, i'm definitely going to say that you're a vampire from birth and that your powers/skills are fine tuned with experience.
Born, yes. Embraced, only if you're feeling snuggly. But it's also in the blood, si. Sometimes just in the mind, oui oui.
I od not believe you can be embraced unless your in an rpg situation. I hvae been just me form as far back as i can remember. Some days i have a hard time with it some days i dont. I just get on with life.
I agree with Sky, I am and have been and will always be me, just now my vampiric side has surfaced over the past 1 and a half year or so.
I have always been as I am though I have known others who claim both....
i believe that your born the way you are but when your younge, you dont really understand about whats going on and you try to surpress who it is that you are...thats why it takes many awhile before they awaken into who it is they are
I embraced the life i was given...I made a choice to be who I was destined to be...and because of it i am still alive today..it has made me me....-mieta-
I was born a vampire I have always enjoyed the taste of blood, had better healing ability than most, a lower body temperature, A lower blood pressure and a slightly different physiology than others. I have extra digestive parts verified by x-ray and two glands that doctors have no clue what they do or are. I have also awakened or embraced others.
I was born into this, by no fault of my parents. I'm not entirely sure where this came from, but I was born into it all the same. I have recovered from three major sicknesses and injuries that should have killed me in time that it would take most to recover from the flu (pneumonia, three fractured lumbar disks, and meningitis) and ever since I can remember I've loved the taste of blood. I remember the first person I ever bit, it was completely by mistake, but I managed to catch her on the wrist, I was angry because she was touching my favourite toy and she didn't even ask me (I was four!) so I bit her right on the arm, pierced the skin and left a nice little scar to this day on the inside of her left wrist.
I dont think I could tell you. All I know is that something happened to me when I was in my 20's that forever changed me, but I forgot about it until recently. Remembering is what brought me here. So I am not sure..
i have to say i was born these way i'v all was had a dark and vampires live..
No, I wans't born, and the only way that I think a person can be 'born' into it is if you enter tht environment and have tht sort of personality/values.
a little of both for i was born with it inside of my dark little heart but it was never noticed. Until one day i realized and embraced the life style it gave to me.
thank u everyone for ur input and comments. and i know i spelled embraced wrong, i was not of right mind when i wrote the question. plz do feel free to continue to comment and put in ur input. very much appreciated.
i've been the princess nix we all know and love since the day i was born. i was one of those wierd children who preferred the company of adults. when i was 2 i was the only member of the family one of my older cousins would talk to. it's been said i've got a soul that's older than i am. it wasn't until just before my 20th birthday that someone first talked to me about vampirism and a lot of things started making sense, but this wasn't anything about me changing besides the understanding of myself.
i'm a born vampire but it took awhile for me to know what i was
I was born the way I am. Though I know the gift may be passed along through an embrace, as rare as it is.
I've had the esteemed pleasure of being born vampire, mostly from my mothers side however i have some aspect of the wolf from my bio fathers side
I am a birth vampire! Runs in my family for many genrations! But I'm the only one in my family that embrasses it!
I am not a vampire, as far as I know. To be a vampire, you have to be born into the condition. The act of embracing or awakening is simply the act of becoming conscious of the condition. It cannot be 'caught', like a disease. A regular person cannot be 'turned' into a vampire.
"My question is how many vampyres here where born that way, and who was embrassed or turned or however u want to say it. Thanks."
Well actually, it's like this. People are born vampires. Despite popular belief, people are either born vampire or not. normal people can't be turned. If you wish to discuss this topic with me further, by all means, feel free to message me. =D
born hell yea but u dont ebrace the the life untill u r old enough to understand it
"but u dont ebrace the the life untill u r old enough to understand it"
Actually, there are rare cases where small children can be aware that they're vampires. I forget the name, but I know it starts with a d. lol
born vampires are the true vamps and the embrace are the week
I have always been what I am...You can use names to label it, but it's all about energy and the knowledge and exchange of such...
I embrace the love and life of the vampyr and a friend on VR told me about it now im hooked
Some people will only see it as a lifestyle. Too bad for them. They don't understand their full capabilities, even if they aren't a vampire.
And by vampire, I mean the real vampire, born with the abilities. To be a true vampire, you cannot simply be embraced or turned. You are either born a vampire or not.
I'm personaly a born vampire. I do not belive you can be turned you are either one or you aren't NO inbetweens
If someone opposes to my comment then go ahead and prove me wrong..
Born.......but luckily I am open minded, and VERY in tune with myself, so I let it grow and develop over time.
Born, but had to be helped to control and understand it fully
I was born a vampyre and have known and embraced it since a very young age. If you know it, why fight it?
I believe I was born a vamp, but a psy/elemental vamp. The whole sang thing, too much contact with people for my likeing.
I have always preferd the company of adults, and I detest idiotic people. Don't know if that is a vamp thing though.
I supressed who I was for a while, had a bit of an awakening when I was in high school, supressed it again, and have woken up to who I am more recently.
i was born actually a wicca but was able to embrace being a vampire as well as i started to get older
I believe that if you are a vampire you were born that way, however i would have to agree with SxxxyDarkAngel69.
Some may awaken at different ages.
I was born me, but, I'm not me any more...
But, conversely, I am more me than I ever have been.
;)
I think its true that you can be born a vampire, and know your diffenrent as I did from birth....but the whole "hollywood hype" about biting or "embracing someone" I personally think its a bunch of bullshit, vampirism is not a disease that can be passes like a common cold or the aids virus.
Its a blood borne disease that is carried in the bloodline, theoreticly its possible to take on certian characteristics from persay...a blood transfusion or ingesting the blood. Even still the thought of biting someone, drinking their blood and then that person "turning" into a vampire is absured and childish.
I have to say for myself I am learning to embrace it more and more everyday. I feel that I am very new to this all, but with the dreams I have been having I don't think it will be a very long wait any longer.... I know I can't stop the sun from shining, and having to work in the daylight hours, but I have always been a night person all my life. I know I have been bitten once, but for only a brief second and it was pure seduction.... I am ready to be taken again..
I believe that one can only be born this way. I was born, grew up different and alone, and experienced my awakening at 15. I'm not sure if someone can be "embraced" although someone made a good point in a post... Don't remember who or where now, but that if a psychic vampire draws too much energy from one person their own "spirit" for lack of a better word will start to pull energy back from the vampire, and it could result in the prey awakening or turning because they took a part of the vampire's energy into their own. *shrugs* interesting idea, who knows.
I was embraced....But I think the possability of being born a vamp is varry slim.
i have to say i was embrassed about 3 years ago before that i was a rich kid how join the army to get a away from it all
I think a number of people on here are mistaking their awakening for an embrace. When someone is born a vampire, he/she rarely knows it. Only when he/she awakens does he/she become aware of the condition. This awakening can be mistaken for being embraced.
Perhaps it is that some people feel that Embracing alone is enough to make someone become as a vampyre?
It could be that if a person is taken from often enough that the begin to exhibit symptoms similar to one.
But, it could also be that an Embrace can lead a potential to awaken, or further along a process which has already begun.
Otherwise, It would be difficult to find a viable theory to explain how one single occassion, or even a half dozen, might produce another vampyre.
Though, as an afterthought, a powerful enough vampyre might have the capability to alter the energetic structure of a being, but highly unlikely that they would go to so much effort for someone that they did not intend to keep around for long, or have some personal attachment to.
I know, STABB. I was merely making an observation. I'm well aware that excessive feeding can created a sympthetic vampire.
LaMuerte,
Though I enjoy reading your posts, I did not enjoy that one, especially as I was speaking to the forum in general, not actually in response to your last, which I had not read before I posted.
But thank you for clarifying.
:)
My apologies. Wasn't thinking too clearly when I posted it. If someone could delete that one and this one, that'd be great.
It is impossible for a human to make a vampire but assist one into vampireism into awakening is not unheard of
I haven't done any of this things. I am only around its world because I like the idea of it nothing more.
i have been asleep...i am awaken
forever been a vampire
I am a vampire who believes in past lives. In almost all my past lives I was born a vampire. Unfortunatly this life I was just awakened.
I was born the way I am and have embraced the ideal over time.
I have always liked the idea of blood and the dark. I am not a "true" vampire though. Much light stems from a lighter, but equally destructive line.
I was born, but like most I was awaken. I feel I am like some that know you are different but until you become awaken you don't know what makes you so different. I don't ever want to be considered normal...
i would have to say awakened/turned. the reason why i said it like that is because i was only half awakended while in high school and my recent ex at the time b/f (asshole) helped me fully awakened by turning me on my 21st birthday as one of my birthday gifts from him. I'm so glad im not with him nomore and he is no longer a vampire (long story i don't wanna talk about it)
I have embraced it. I do not know for sure if I was born with it or not but the vampire fascination has been here long time...
Uumm...I've been embraced by a recentlyy awakened vampyre......does that count for anything?? :)
from my point of veiw. I AM a vampire. I love the night as they do. I love blood as they do. I was like this from as far back as I can remember. It takes the doctor for ever just to find a pulse. My body is always ice cold. I take being like the undead very serouse. I know I have a great amount of power. Power to do things humans can't. I guess if it really comes down to it........I don't know what I am. But I know I'm not human. I may look like one but looks can be deceiving.
i was born a vampire, but like many other i was aweken... no idea how the hell that happend, but it is who i am now and i like it this way
For the longest time i was under the impression that i was created or turned, but through recent self discovery, I have found out that I was born with this and so is my father, who i am still linked to.
>:D
I Would say I was born. I have always had Dreams of Vampyrism, even before I watched my first horror flick. I am an energy vampyre with the desire to taste blood, and I have tasted blood. I can take energy from more than just people. I can take it from animals, trees, I've even tepped the earth's own energy a couple of times by accident. I find no reason to lie. I have awakened. though not fully.
Lord Dacka
Oh, one more thing, I used to have sharp canine teeth, but my step-father had my dentist round them off at the age of 12(he said I would scar my tongue). And my premolars are pointes and sharp on the outside.
I've never been completely certain... the desire and taste has been with me since I can remember.... when ever I was cut or hurt to the point of drawing blood I would never miss the oppurtunity to partake in the taste... but I'm still not really sure if I'm born or embraced... still just not sure
well most of the vampires here are born vampires but do not know it until they get older then all of a sudden they wake up or come to realize that they are a vampire but for some they chose not to embrace it like other who do like ourselves
You people do amuse me with this topic of being born a vampire. You are born with no experiences or knowledge and so must be taught your beliefs. If you where left with a pack of dogs at birth you would know nothing but Dog traits and behavior and so would have never know anything of vampirism. Have you ever seen a vampire Dog? As you grow you develop your own characteristics and beliefs and from there you conclude that you’re a vampire. Why don’t you just say that your beliefs have changed and so conformed to VAMPIRISM. I have nothing against anyone that follows these beliefs; many people here that I know are vampires and even myself I have some sort of ability that I can not explain, but I am sorry to say I am not a vampire.
Before you got out and proclaim that you are a true vampire by birth or any other methods think of what you are saying for most likely you are following vampirical beliefs.
People are taught things like gender identity as well, but if you raise a male with a female gender identity the child will still be male. We find names for things later in life that we do not have names for at birth. Whatever we choose to call ourselves later in life is simply a way to describe who we are.
I am a born vampyre, I had my awakening to my true nature when I was 14.
archonsyn but that is what I am saying, this individual was taught that and so became that. So this same principle can be used towards vampirism, it was taught not genetically imprinted into you.
Wicca is a viable belief and I even have cousins that are very strong with it. And yes I do understand what you are saying but something had to influence you to follow that belief. I think if something in your life is that strong you had to have some influence or at least someone led you towards the path of Wicca. I just don’t believe that it could come upon you without and influence.
I feel that there is a more viable case for asserting that a vampyre is born with a natural disposition towards being of the condition.
I see little evidence that a person can be 'embraced' into vampyre-hood if they do not already have a predisposed genetic legacy to 'awaken' within themselves.
Thats not to say that a vampyric embrace could not be a part of the awakening process, but, that it cannot be the definitive factor, only a contributing event in a series of events leading up to a full appreciation and acceptance of the self.
With the belief that I currently hold on reincarnation and the nature of a vampyric soul, I would expound the theory that all vampyres are born the way they are, it's just a matter of whether they come to realise it or not.
I was waiting for you...hehehe. Reincarnation is a possibility but I don’t think that you can remember your previous life. Again reincarnations is a belief and can not be proven scientifically. Remember our minds are clean slates at birth.
It has been stated by some in the community that they are able to access their past lives and bring forward information and personality traits to their present consciouness...
Past life regression hypnosis is an area I am particularly interested in, though this too could be argued from the basis that it is merely an interperatation of a persons psyche and also cannot be proven true.
Darkadmin: well yes i see yr point, actually my family is a strict catholic so no it wasnt from them..i always felt that i needed to look firther, and yes it was my friend that intorudced me to wicca, so i can say that my friend was my influnce here..even tough i walys felt the urge to look for soething else them my family's belive, but i understood yr point, so yes my friend was my influence
Hypnosis is not a proven science since it does not work on all participants. And yes I feel it can be an interpretation of a persons psyche and let’s talk interpretation of a persons psyche. This to can be one reason for a person to believe they have been born a vampire.
Indeed DA,
I've been studying it from the position of psycho-somatic reactions to belief.
Whether brought about by a total immersion in the culture of vampyrism, or by a genuine alteration, inherited need or psychosis, the resulting belief remains true as a reflection into the soul.
If a person truly believes themself to be such and they act accordingly, what difference does it make, for the standpoint of interaction with thought?
There is a void of who we are and how we got here is quite strong within us all and must be filled with something.
So, seeking acceptance, to be a part of a community, could be the motivator in convincing an individual that they are something they may not be physically, or perhaps even spiritually?
I would love to continue this but a tree just feel on my house from the snow. I will try to return later.
I personally enjoy the taste, and the sunlight hurts my eyes, i can also read people very well, but i don't beleive i am a vamp, although i would fully emrace the gift/curse depending on how you look at it
For me...I grew up in a small town and no one never really understood me...I feel like I am still embracing the vampyre's way of life....I'm still trying to uncover what I really am...
