Okay. This is probably a really stupid question, but... I read about people having dreams about vampires and those dreams actually end up being prophetic. Like the dreams come true or the vampire predicts something that actually happens. Has anyone ever heard of vampires communicating with people in their sleep? I know, I know... It's probably a silly question.

Over the past three years I've had dreams kind of like that, and all of them with the same "guy" in them. These dreams feel really real. Is this just a coincidence due to my fascination with vampires? Or am I just subconsciously doing this to myself?

Well in my dictionary of dreams if you dream of a vampire attacking you,it means enemies,if you fight and win him means you're going to win them or get over obstacles.

As well it could be a fascination so your desires manifest into your dreams.

Premotions in dreams happen as well as for vampire related that is osmething I haven't searched for yet.

I had dreams of vampires as well and usually I see the same things...most probabbly it's a fasciantion.

hmmm....well, i can't say I have ever heard of vampires in dreams containing any significant meaning. I too dream of vampires, however, and now i quiry the meaning of my dark dreams. I shall return once furthur informed on this topic.

if you dream that you are a vampire that means that you are dreaming of power. have you moved up in a job. If you are being atacked bya vamp in your dreams look for a new job you are probly going to get fired.

Personally I know what it feels like to have dreams with vampires lurring you or helping you or trying to harm you because my dreams are always like that and things actually happen. A few weeks ago I had a dream with a male vampire in it and he ended up trying to turn me in an ally way in L.A then he put his hand on my neck and squeezed and then bit me after I passed out. When I awoke from my dream I had nail marks from when he grabbed my neck but the only problem with that is I had cut my nails down to the point where if I where to touch anything my finger tip would hit first and my nails were not sharp at all I had finger marks and nail impressions on my neck. I would think yes they can contact you in your dreams.

I most defintly do cause I belive I have the power of foreseeing and often dreams are profetic you may too be gifted.. ^_^

I think its a combonation of manifestation and premonition perhaps. Nothing too dramatic.

I tend to think it is just your subconcious reminding you of something you noticed outside of the restraints of time. Between times of physical manifestation if you will.

I communicate with minds in the dream relm on a very regular basis...Many every night...I call it dual/shared dreaming...It can be quite intense...

this could very well be your fascination with vampires and you're doing it to yourself, but also some vampires have the power to enter dreams of others as a way of comunicating in a way.

I'm a firm believer that dreams have great significance on our lives... i'm not sure if your vampire is true and will bite you but I do know that I have had many many dreams that feel so real and then within a few days they actually take place.. hell abraham lincoln had dreams of assassination a few days before booth killed him

Dreams are a bitch. I live in a prepetual state of dejavu because of them so yes. I believe that your dreams have significance. I agree with a few of those that have posted before me, he's there and whether hw knows it or not, he's reaching for you.

yes i think that vampires from the past try to talk to us. i have these dreams all of the time try to pay attention to what they are saying and doing you might find out some pretty neat shit

I'm of the opinion that since 9/11 dreams such as yours have increased in frequency. I too, have had some unsetttling dreams involving far more than vampires.

Yes, it has significance. But the significance is different for each person, depending on why they had the dream, what the influences in their life are. I had dreams of vampyrism since I was 4 or so. So I believe that it might mean something, but it might just be subconcious desire, as said above.

the subconcious has nasty lil ways of messing with you...your interpretations are in your daily life...look at whats going on around you and make your interpretations from that...usually they will be the most accurate ones

Picking apart dreams like this doesn't really work. Dreams are meant to be taken as a whole. You might glean bits of useful information from this forum post, but, on the whole, ask yourself for the answers. We didn't see the dream.

I have offen had dreams about vampires, but, recently i've been having alot of them, i dont know why but i can relate to how you feel...having the same dream about the same guy, the dreams feel soooo real, you fear your dreams yet you dont want to wake from them, the man scare's you yet you want to be closer to him! The man i dream of has shoulder lenght black hair, has a scar on his right arm and whenever he's around you feel as tho its just you and him....no sounds no movement no nothing...just him!

I had a real wierd dream simuler to the movie blade but the funny thing was it is as if i was going from 1 place to another and i'm the vampire but being attackd by humans who thought i was there to do shit to them like in van helsing with the 3 vamp chicks and shit. theird weird thing is i woke up sweating and my 3 crazy cats was sitting up on my bed watching me.

I think i was actually turned by a dream. I used to feel a real affination with werewolves, and still do, but I never really thought about vampires at all. Until I had a really vivid dream about one when I was 17, and from then on, i've been getting more and more involved with the vampyric lifestyle. I can still remember that dream vividly to this day, 9 years on. So yes, I think vampiric dreams ARE significant, in more than just a prophetic sense

I've had the same dream for several years now which always involves the same scenes, walking down long stairways, hallway, and down into a large library, huge ornate fireplace and a large wingback chair with a man sitting in it, and as I reach the chair and put my hand on it and turn to face him, the dream ends.

everyones obsessions come to the through dreams...but it also could be showing you your true master calling you...if you ever meet this person you should snap up the chance to talk to them because they are most likely to be your future, it could be anything but if your lucky...its fate calling you...

I think that there are a few of possibilities: One: he's contacting you and wants to desperatly reach you, Two: This could be brought on by your facination as you said, and Three: it could be some guy who has mastered astral projection and is just fooling with you.

The worst dream that I had something about that is when I was a Kid I dreamed that I was in a opera house in hell fire and smoke everywhere I looked in all directions and I saw people dead and there bones rotting while a creature was feasting on my living body though I dont think it was trying to kill me exactly it wanted something.

I believe in something that I call dream leaping...or dream sharing...or astral projection. It's all the same thing. One shares a dream with another. However, I think it takes a strong bond to do this. The way you talk about it this guy is a stranger to you. So, perhaps in your case it's just a manifestation of your desires. More often than not, dreams that are foretelling in nature are often hard to understand...non-sequential
and chaotic. Are your dreams more like a movie? Are they easy to follow? If so, then I would say they are not prophecies. Dreams are hard things to decipher, really. We all dream differently. Good luck on interpreting yours.

ive had a dream where ive committed suicide because of relationship problems and instead of seeing a golden gate or fire im in a creepy forest cemetary kinda like the ones you see in vamp movies. Thats where i met a vampire (this dream ironicly happened when i first came here) and said i wasnt ment for either of those places. appearently when i passed out from comitting suicide i was bite by him. A few days later i had attempted suicide from relationships problems. So i personally believe it is possible that dreams with vampires can be a message of the futures.

Well, most of my vampire dreams are naughty so i guessI am just obess with sex:) But many of my friends, both past and present, have dreams of not just vampires but something attacking them and then something bad usually happens to them, like loss of job, break up or a death in the family.

To tell you the truth, I have had a dream that involved a vampyre.

A 'Strigoi' to be more descriptive!

It was by far the most memorable dream that comes to mind. Each part of it was so distictive, in the sense that I posess little doubt that it had some special significance to my individual, rather than being a random course of subconscience (since at the time, I didn't give care to anything about vampyres)

Dreams are so unpredictable.Sometimes they are messages from the astral plain, other times they're nothing.... If you are constantly dreaming the same sort of dreams then I think it's a message... Maybe you or possibly someone you know may end up in contact with a vampire (whether it is positive or negetive contact). The fact that "you" are having the dreams doesn't always mean that "you" are going to experience what you dream of. Could be meant for someone else.... Whew!!! This is getting deep!!

I really like some of the thoughts in this thread, I would have to say that the interpretation really has to come from the whole dream, and has to be made by the dreamer. As for vampires contacting people in their sleep, that has been documented in many vampire myths and stories, For my self, I have had vampires in my dreams, but I think it had more to do with the things going on in my life at the time than any dream encounter with the vampire. Just my thoughts.

I dream of vampires at least twice a week and have often wondered what it mean. there either after me,i'm a slayer of them or i'm a vampire looking for a love or a victim.

I've had my first dream about a vampire when i was 8 years old..it kinda freaked me out at first but i liked it a lot..it had a very dark scene to it..even so, i guess he was an evil kind of vampire..tried to kill me or something like that but i was saved..didn't know why..but it appears to me that in every dangerous dream i have, i always come out to be safe..no kidding..

In the second vampiric dream I had, which was also in the same year, (yes, i tend to remember my dreams very well..) it was about these three Vampiresses in my room..and now that was the scariest..they all had long black hair with dark eyes..that's the dream i wouldn't like to have anymore..ever..btw, no..i'm not lying nor am i joking..

I have had two such dreams.

The first one I was on a tour through my high school when it was in the 70's, and it was near halloween, and i remember begging a female vampire to "turn" me as it were, and she did.

The second one was I was in my room, and there was a male vampire there, and I remember waking up and feeling where he had bitten me on the neck all three times.

The strangest thing, is that within the last year I have been having phases where I am starving, and food does nothing, and then I'm not hungry at all. And I have no idea what this means. I am very confused...and looking for help.

The sub-conscience mind is a powerful thing, it using quite a lot of symbolism and metaphores. Vampires represent our primal side. As far as the prophetic, i belive minds communicate. When someone has these dreams, they want them to come true so bad, that they do, through comminucating with other minds.

well i really dont know about that.Humm he could be calling for you though and maybe you will meet him in the future.I have had countless dreams of vampires..but they mostly become violent..and this is before i awakened and now iam violent and when i was meditating i got something of me killing at least one of my kind(vampire)(spiritually..not physicaly)and in the dreams im doing some of the violence so maybe it is a sign for the future.

i had a dream like that once, i got pushed down the stairs by a vampire, next day i feel down the stairs and broke my leg, dont know if it was conicidence, or maybe my dream was telling me somthing, but many a time ive had dreams that have happened or been similar to somthing that has happened, i dont really think it has a relevance, just mere coicidence if you ask me, but then again i may be wrong

i keep haveing this really strange dream, i am walking in a forest and there is a choice of three paths. whichever path i take i end up in the same place. then i am standing on the edge of a cliff, and something bite me on the neck. then i fall forward but always wake up before i hit the ground below. it seems so real.

I think it is more of lessa mixture of the two because I have had dreams of this nature before and I can't really explain them all that well.

I've been dreaming of vampires ever since I can remember(and I have memories as far back as when I was 2-years-old). When I was three years old I dreamt of the vampire from Sesame street...I hated that show but I loved that character:) When I was young I dreamt of vampires every night...now it's less often, but it's always the same vamps in my dreams. And it's always me being sired by a male vampire who I feel a strong connection to. Not just sexually, but emotionally and mentally as well.
Just last night I dreamt of him...the vampire. Yesterday I heard some news that made me think my fiance was going to cheat on/leave me. Then last night(well technically it was this morning when I went to sleep) I dreamt of him. He turned me into one of his kind as he always does in the dreams and told me, "Do not worry about the silly boy. You will not have use for him much longer."

Then I woke up. I have no idea what it means, but all today I've been craving blood(yes I like blood, always have) and when I tried to eat a salad I almost threw up(grossed my mom out when I started gagging my salad back up and into the bowl, lol). That is very weird to me...since I love salads...green salad with Hidden Valley Ranch dressing has been a favourite food of mine for YEARS.

I don't know if any of it is connected or if any of it actually has any significance. But I know I am a psychic and that my dreams are often of prophetic meaning. I usually can figure out what my dreams mean...but I've never been able to figure out what the dreams with him in are about.

We dream about our live and what we know. Sometimes we dream about things we suppress or subjects that bother us. Either way, our dreams always try to tell us something.

In my Encyclopedia and Dictionary of Dreams, dreaming of a vampire means that you will triumph over resistance to your lowly class and marry for money. Also, it states that if you are fighting with a vampire, you are responsible for maintaining your own envy level. Being bitten by a vampire means that all of your fears point to an unpleasant encounter that must be faced. Being chased means that you must chose your compainions stringently, no negative thinkers. A vampire kissing your neck means that a lover is draining your energy and you emotionally. There are a couple more, and I do not think that they need to be read. But I just think that it's a fascination, unless anything I have just said is true.

I've had a recurring dream since I was very young. I'm stuck in the public library but it has a secret room that is a dungeon. A group of vampires is chasing me and there are people in the library but they don't seem to see or hear me. Finally I hide in one of the glass display cases. When one of the vamps sticks his head in to bite me, I slam the door shut on him and cut his head off but the head keeps coming after me. At that point I wake up just before being bitten. Any signifigance here???

I'm actually unsure whether dreaming of a vampire really means anything. I have however had many dreams concerning vampires and demons. I think it may be more because you're fascinated with the subject in question and so your subconscious will feed you the images. there is one case however, that sort of makes me doubt all that I've written out. when I was younger I had a reoccurring dream of being taken by a vampire, and then me and the said vampire would go out and feast on my friends over the next few nights. but what's the weird thing about it, was that I fed these images and dreams to my friends that I feed on in the dreams. I don't know how that's even possible, and maybe it was just one weird coincidence or something.. but still.. and I have no clue where I was going with all this. I make little to no sense when I'm sleep deprived.

i do believe that vampires in dreams are signifigant. some say the dream world is more real than the world we believe to be the waking world.

If you are in your dream but you are realizing it as a dream. you may be experiencing astral projection . next time try and realize the dream and try to take it over.. if you are experiencing astral projection you may be able to communicate with the person in your dream and be able to find out y u keep having the same dream.

well, dreams can seem rerally true depending on what they are about. Like you say you have a facination with vamps then maybe it seemed really real because you might of wanted it to be?
i meen i have jad dreams (diferent sorts) and i would wake up thinking i'd just been ran over(lyk what hapend in 1 dream) cuz it seemed to be so real!
but, then again you could have a talent to comunicate woth the dead (or alive) in your dreams.

it's really hard to tell with dreams. there are a lot of different intereputations about what it means to dream of a vampire. there are a lot of people that have abilities to control dreams of other people. there are also theories that demons and the dead can talk to you through dreams... and either could be coming to you as a vampire. demons and vampires (in some theories) are about the same thing.

i find that most dreams are directly related with life and the future or scars of the past

Ive drempt about the same dreams for years at a time. . . it wasnt till rescently i feel as though they were like word problems and i needed to put them together in my life so get a map, for direction in life

Whether an actual visitation or a symbolic manifestation, one could hardly say. You are the most likely person to understand your dreams. It's worth pointing out that the vampire is often a symbol of age old wisdom minus the morality. A "vampire" can always be counted upon to give you the straight knowledge unhindered by the social rules of mankind.

I always am glad to receive that kind of unfettered insight so I'd find your dream a welcome chance to ask some questions and get some straight answers.

there are a thousand different ways why you have dreams with vampires in them or for the dreams being very real. things like this happen to me all the time, but for a completely different reason. and sad to say because these things happen on the asrtal plane (for me) that i can discuss no more about this topic on this level.

I never have had a dream with a vampire in it.

I don't know about vampires prophesying so to speak....but when I was about 12 yrs old, I had a dream about myself as an adult woman in a black flowing dress walking through a foggy cemetary at night. I had long black hair and long red fingernails...I was just walking along. I had that dream about 5 times. Kinda cool....I look now, just like I did in the dream.

I cannot say I have ever had a dream involving vampirism in any form..... perhaps it is a mundane quality?

What i also ment to say is my dreams are of the past with the vampires and of the present,future.I drink blood in them and i take energy as well...this i mean by i take a kind of life force from my prey whether it be a mortal or a vampire..i have changed into the wolf in my dreams but not many times...hard for me to do for some reason.This i was shown to do in a dream by a vampire as i have been shown many things.

It could be your subconscious trying to tell you something about yourself or your desires. You just have to listen to it and figure out what it’s trying to tell you.

I had a dream when I was in my 20's in wich a vampire man told me to come with him there was something I needed to know. I followed him to a school yard, it was at night and there were people everywhere. He said "We are teachers, we have been around for so long and have gathered so much knowledge, we help where we can. When You are ready I will come for you again, and you will be taught what we know." There was more to the dream than that, I spent what seemed like hours there. I won't go into all I was told in the dream. But Yes I believe your dream can have messages for you, but not all dreams do.

Well i elive that dream are justa residue of what we think and what we see during the day but not rstited only to that day. as from a recent study it was discoverd that unike any other memory system that huan bieng have discoverd till today. human mind keeps a recod segment of the actul memory being stored and like a hard disk difragmentationn dreams are used to e eligne the memory sectors in order to keep and have a batter memory access.

I think sharing your dreams with a forum is very bold. It shows you have alot of control over your life and you don't fear alot of things.

I do recall one time I was dreaming, I was walking in my front yard at night just normal but I didn't why. I saw this figure jump off of a jampaling and came towards me. Now like most creatures of the night or whatever this person was ( it was a female by the way ), she kept telling me she wanted me, she loved me , and begging me to give her permission to take my life. Hearing these things I'm freaking out asking who in the fuck she was and what was she talking about. Then all a sudden the dream ended and I haven't seen the girl in any other dream I've had. It still confuses the fuck out of me that I get such a dream in the first place.

Oh and some one here dreams of a school...with aliens,dinosaurs,...iam in that one.Mine is of a hall sort of outside the school but in the grounds,as well as the school....

I dream alot and have dreamt into the future before, some of my dreams have been including a vampire, but that may be due to my fascination because nothing has come to happen in real life that has to do with what I've dreamt. The vampire in your dreams could represent something or someone else.
