Have you or someone you've known owned a haunted object? Please give details.
I came across an article about haunted objects and found it interesting. I've never thought of a painting or something as being haunted.
lmao...ohhhh i could think of soooooo many things for this one, but i wont start it...LOL
haunted objects...hmmm...there was atime that i thought my closet was haunted with evil things.....does that count as an object?...hmmm
I have heard that it all might have to with the connection between the spirit and the object...Depending on the value of the object to the idividual who once owned..
All in all it depends if you believe strongly enough..Or possibly seen it happen
A connection can form between a person and a valued possession, or between an artist and the piece they spend so much time, effort and vision on. I've never had a personal experience with a haunted object, but it's quite possible. Sometimes spirits cannot move on from the life they lived.
i think it is possible that a spirit can have a connection with an object after it has passed over but i have never experienced it personally.
i have never owned something like that but i use to live in a house that was haunted... it was cool. but it was just basic like i would put something down and literally turn around and it would be gone, in the air being flung, or completely missing... also i heard a lot of voices and i knew that it wasnt a person because i was left in the house alone alot. but the night was the best part because you would hear alot of evil growling and moaning and firce female screaming. at first i thought it was my whore mother, untill it happened when no one was in the house and she went to fuck her boyfriends, and would not come back till the afternoon next day.
my washing machine is haunted, either that or my boyfriend can't figure out how to use it. it was my grandmas, when i use it, it works brilliantly, when he goes to use it, will it work? like hell it will
Well, the washing machine sounds like it's incompatible with his energy. It happens to me all the time with computer systems. There are times when they just won't work until I leave the room.
In 1994 - 1996 I worked for Domino's Pizza Commisary in Jessup, Maryland and I swear the old Okidata printer that I used was haunted.
Sometimes it would stop working or get jammed and it literally would not work at all until I either cut or scraped my finger while fixing it and BLED in it!
Then it would work fine until it needed its next "fix".
I hated that machine.
I would have to say that a few buildings I have entered seemed haunted. I would love to own an object that survived the Titanic. I bet it would be haunted.
Oh yea....i saw a cup fly across a kitchen across a living room and into a fireplace at a friends house
my friend owns a huanted home. we had to exersise the house which, i can tell, you is no fun
I have heard that people who are psychic cant wear second hand clothes because they pic up on the feelings of the person who used to own them.
and there are the people who claim to read from objects that belonged to the dead, I know there is a word for it and i cant think what it is at the moment...
haunted objects are not all that hard to find.... All you really have to do if find an object that a persn who has died was attached to..... My grandfather's ring is haunted, well its my ring now but the band will tighten and constrict depending on my mood and then there are times where it disappears and then reappears for no reason.... My grandfather was essentric so who know what he is doing...
My brother went on a trip to Arkansas and brought back this wedge shaped rock. That night he woke up and saw an indian standing in the corner of his room. To this day we still see the Indian and whatever friend he has decided to bring with him (I live about a mile away from a cemetery, he likes to go there and bring random spirits back with him, as weird as that sounds).
I hadn't owned a haunted object myself, but find the thought of a person's spirit attaching to an object fascinating.
I've been interested in checking out some reportedly haunted hotels but haven't had the opportunity just yet.
I had a haunted object once..After my mum passed away she left me a string of pearls some nights I would wake up and see her looking at them..Until they got stolen this was the last of the things I had from her I really wish I had them now
I agree with lordvess on this topic possesions from a lost loved one they tend to try in move it to get your attention interesteting topic
i strongly believe that my old house was haunted, not the entire house...just the attic...
My house is 70 years old and has had a young girls death in it according to previous owners I spoke to.
The stairs creak at night and a few times lights have flickered on and off in the kitchen while eating supper. We have cabinets that slam on occassion without a draft eminating from them. Now you could say the electrician needs to update the wiring and the house is settling. But its still freaky deaky. When I first got the place I had the yard leveled for landscaping. One of the workers said he was in the house overnight once and would not step foot in it when I offered cool drinks out of the heat of the day.He claimed it was haunted and didnt even want to tell me his story although I tried to pull it out of him.
The house is pretty much at peace with us besides the cabinets. They have scared me outta my skin on rare occassion. Coming downstairs in the dark to have a midnight snack or drink from the fridge and one slams only a half of arms length away. BAD GHOST BAD GHOST but then after the shock wears off I go back to bed. I wonder if thats all the dude was talking about. I sure hope so. Lol.
hmm ive heard of it... mostly objects left behind by the passed on that were important to them or valuable to them
Hmmm.. I don't think so unless a house counts as an object.
But I've got some stuff that it brings lots of misfortune.
Coincidance,haunted,cursed?
Hmm...
Haunted objects are interesting. I read a book on demonology, where they discussed the subject, and speculated that this was the result of demonic energy.
Either way, I do think it’s possible that an energy can become associated with an object. Even an energy that manifests similar to an intelligent entity, possibly even mimicking “poltergeist” activity. Might it be possible that some cases of haunted houses are actually caused by an object in the home, and not the location itself?
I do indeed possess some objects that are purported to be haunted...I havent seen any apparitions etc....but I have felt a lot of energy permeating out of them...
I would love the read the article on haunted objects...is there a link to it?
Yes I knew of an object that was haunted. My ex-wife's family owned a bed where her uncle killed himself over some chick. Well on the day of his suicide the bed begins to shake and the radio plays the song he killed himself. This happens every year at the same time !!
I have a bracelet and some other jewlery that belonged to my grandmother. when i wear the braclet my depression virtualy dissapears. I can't wear it for long periods of time though, as it can begin to irritate my skin.
I also have a pearl necklace/choker with 5 strings of perals on it, fastening with an amber clasp, which I will wear on my wedding day, I was just drawn to the pieces when they were all laid out in front of me, and I was told to pick what I like. My cousin picked everything which was in boxes, and my sister and I picked what we liked the look of, the necklace I picked was the most valuble item on the table, and my grandmother, great grandmother and many more generations all wore it on their wedding day. I didn't know this before i picked it out, but i was drawn to it, or was it drawn to me?
Don't just love it when they show on T.V. (Discovery channel) the stuff or HOUSES that are HAUNTED. I like that.
I knew of a Haunted house once, back in small town, a girl (they say) committed suicide...blah blah blah tweak.
You know the rest.
Of course objects can be connected with a person's spirit if the object meant a lot to them. Personally, I've had one experience with this. My uncle's katanas. He loved them, and when he died, my grandparents gave them to me. I can feel him in them (if that makes any sense).
I have a antique sheval mirror which has a really funky feel to it. It could be haunted. It stands in the corner of my room and never catches the light. And my cat sends hours hissing at it. I never can stare in it for too long....
well the cabinets seem to be the major focus of the "haunting" is all I seem to think
I lived in a house where a guy killed his wife and her lover who lived next door** when doors would open and close on there own or someone walking up and down the stairs and when to the library to find out info, well the boyfreind was found dead, yet the womans body was not ever found we tought she was buried in the basement cause there was a part that was just dirt and my dad would not ever let us dig it up to see when we found a watch and ring** TRUE STORY** two weeks after we sold the place it burned down, I think she was mad cause it was in our family for yrs after she died... who knows....not sure if that counts but I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN GHOST AND SPIRITS, plus I practice the craft.. sooooo
i beleave that they can do this and that it dose happen.
It would appear that we're talking about two similar but nonetheless different things...Hauntings which would imply a spirit or 'ghost' of the dead that has attached itself to something or somewhere, and psionic impressions where a memory or emotion is left attached to something but with no intelligence or control behind it.
clothes pins, well, that'll turn you into a ghost
they are not safe for bondage games
you can't even put them on a nipple
they'll give you a triple nipple
clothes pins are very dangerous
I actually became a vampire because of the change of the design of the clothes pin, they used to not have a spring, they used to have just a slit you could cover your nose with and there was no extreme force supplied by the mouse trap spring bulit in
every time I see a clothes pin I get a haunting feeling
it is no longer a clothes pin, it is a talisman that brings me much distress
people who design "things" are sadists, just about any object designed could make some transformation in you
at the end of your life, almost everything will seem haunted, for those objects are what turend you into ghosts
After my parents died I inherited a ladies secretary(desk). I moved it home to my apt putting it in my bedroom. And since that time I've experienced a presence in the room. One night while drifting off to sleep I felt someone sit down on the edge of my bed. I felt the bed depress and the covers became tight like something had a hold of them or was sitting on them.
I had a friend spend the night and I gave them my room to sleep in.......and they told me in the morning that they thought I came in the room in the night to check on them and sat on the edge of the bed but when they rolled over I wasn't there.
And there is always the scent of honeysuckle in the air when she is close.
I believe that the owner of this desk is still with it.
She was obviously very attached to it when she was alive.
I havent had supernatural experiences
i KNOW some people who have been on angel dust have seen the dead come alive
and various people see the same entity
but until it happens to me I can't believe
but if drugs can prepare a body to receive supernatural visits,
then maybe some poeple already have the ability to feel the supernatural.
that I do believe but I don't have the power no matter how much PCP or elephant tranquilizer I smoke
Yeah, I know what you mean there when is till had my mums pearls she was int ehr room I could even smell her perfume, but when I wake up she would be standing near the pearls..I felt safe when that happened secure..
the only thing that ever happend to me that comes close to this subject is on time i had this big ass doll that my little cousin left at my home and i swear that damn thing kept talking so i finally chunked the thing outside. after a while i went back inside only to find the damn thing sitting on my bed it sounds crazy but after my dad saw me throw it outside then only to find it back inside lol he is my only witness to this we burned it with gas that was like 12 years ago we still have never said a word about it.
If real life paranormal events, hauntings etc interest you, you should goto www.castleofspirits.com
It is run by AGHS.
Very cool site.

This has not happened to me, but has happened to someone I know. They had a Chucky doll in their room, and weird things were happening. She would walk in, and a book that was sitting on the other side of the room would hit the wall behind her, on the oppisite side of the room. And one day she was writing a letter, and the paper ripped in half by itself. She put the doll outside, and nothing else happened. I guess a spirit was attached to it or something.
my house is haunted and im the only one who is never messes with i can be anywhere and have no problems and my fiance cant go into the basement with out me our she gets chased back up stairs
Yes, My mom owned a car that was haunted. And it got her in trouble one time when she was in the court house.
Lord Zader, good with the one liners, eh?
try putting six paragraphs together to earn a post...
I don't wish to offend but I have a hard time believing that just because it's a merchandising from a 'horror flick' that a Chucky doll would actually attract a spirit haunting. Were I to believe the details, I'd have to believe that she was manifesting her own fears upon the doll and maybe (big maybe) using her own power to cause the 'happenings'
Unfortunately, since my own experience with the supernatural amounts to nil, it's difficult to simply believe in the stories of hauntings or other spiritual experiences. No disrespect but that just appears to be the case.
The Chucky things sounds a bit like a poltergiest not a haunting to me
But a Chucky doll? That's a poltergeist with some terrible taste in movies.
OK~ Felix~ you totally crack me up ~~LOL
~ believe me there are alot of true real things that are possesd or haunted~~ Look at Amittyville`Horror` That like is so real it isn't even funny~~ yet I understand if you have not experienced something ~~ Then it may be hard to Believe ~~ Just be alittle more open minded~~ No Disrespect to you either~ Cause you do make me LOL~~~
Biten - Thanks...Chucky's one hell of a...whatever he is. I once thought I was possessed but that's just my personality so no excuses there.
I do try to be open minded. It's not that I wish to disprove something or go at it with the intention of disproving something. It's more the acknowledgement that my own belief (or disbelief) isn't further strengthened by someone elses experience. I still like hearing about them just not as a means of induction.
As usual you did not disappoint me LO you made me smile ~~ I totally understand your meaning though~~
I think alot of objects are designed to get you a haunting feeling, I used to have a Spock doll from Star Trek, I played with as a kid in the 70's, and my first nickname in college was Spock, so.. maybe I am possessed by a Spock doll. I think alot of negative energy goes into the design of most things, I mean, what I am feeling is they call Eu rope Europe for certain reasons, I somehow have crash landed on the planet of women and I understand them alot, and I feel, just from my expoerience, women not giving it up to attract the male for marriage, leads to the woman to be in a sexual bondage of sorts, and alot of girl items, appear to me to have some bondage possibilities, even some guy things...
but this is all new to me, only wihtin the poast month, as I Further explore the world of the feminine, but anyways, when objects have some bondage powers over you, and you are in bondage to the objects, the objects have some advanced haunting effect on you... that is my spin. I really really feel it. I know I am alone in this, but when the objects are made easier to be misused by people who accidentally step into different worlds of accidental blisses, sometims the blisses turn into ill will, which I believe is in the design of the designer who craetes these objects to give us a haunting feeling when window browsing.
This is my weirdest post. But, I feel it, and it relates ot the topic. Sorry.
to my knowledge I have never known anything to be haunted that Ihave owned, but then again I am a very skeptical person. I do not just believe in something right away, I need evidence.
I heard of a painting O.O it was scary, the peopel in the panting came alive and wandered the attack....so I think the family sold the painting on e-bay :)
No but it would be pretty cool and a tad bit freaky at the same time
I can occasionaly feel the feelings of the last person whom owned a piece of clothing. I also have a wonderful 1950's dress that I have had to stop wearing. Every time I wear that thing weird things happen and my luck goes in the can. I know keep it in a closet and just look at it occasionaly!
um i heard of a clown doll that was. he was put in the grage at night and in the morning he was in the living room with a smile on his face and the lights on that were off at night.....think about it.
Psychomatrit's are ppl. whom can tell information about where an object came from. Sometimes they can find where a lost body is by touching a persons clothes.
I bought a ring once, at an estate sell, it was supposedly the ring that belonged to a woman, she was wearing it when she died. After I got it, I would get violently ill when I put it on, and would float in mid air when I had it off
I believe in the power of thought, and I think that something that get's heavily ascociated with negative energy can pass that on, or have a cumulative effect by being exposed to other negative moments. Being continually exposed to this could, through inculcation, create the energies that one may ascociate with a haunting.
My grand parents live in an 80 year old victorian style house. Everytime I walk into the guest bedroom it kinda feels like its pulling me in. Thats the room I sleep in, every so often I hear moans, faint screams, or sometimes even laughter. The screams are a dreary and frightened. I have a dresser that was in the house when my grandparents bought it. When I put things on it they get thrown across the room, disapear/reapear, or sometimes slid across the top until it falls to the floor.Nothing real big...I want something really awesome to happen. I want to somehow call to the spirits in the house.
It seems like those that believe in psionic impressions or inculcation, are less likely to believe that a spirit has actually attached itself to something. Either that or simply the experiences of those familiar with psionic impressions have never bled over into the spiritual realm. There are specific people here who refer to haunted objects and those that refer to impressions of objects.
Could this have something to do with overall belief? Could those that have a faith in afterlife be more ready to ascribe spiritual reasoning on objects whereas those with a more scientific bent are likely to call it psionic impressions?
finally a topic that really scares me, the clown garaged living room light switch thang spooked me, it was that guys whose name was some thing 13 and it was his 13th post
but anyways, I do have a talent for making dead things come to life, they are called talismans. In the Finnish lore which was handed down through the ages and finally written in 1910, there was something called a Sampo, which was a talisman.
Now I ain't no Sherlock Holmes who can look at your shoes and see red clay and say oh you were on the east side of Manchester today, no, I don't have that power, but as we go through life, dead things become animated for me, a hat, a vinyl record, and if through my writing I bring them alive, I guess when I am gone, they will have a haunting effect because I made dead things come alive, which is kind of like the alchemy topic I never chimed in on.
Yes i believe in haunted objects... Would i ever own one? I dont think i could go as far as purchasing or owning one specifically, because i have enough problems with troubled spirits in the first place. A friend of mine buys them off ebay from old house estate sales and such. He usually comes to me to ask me what i feel when i see the picture of the object and when i tell him it gives me a real bad feeling he purchases them. Several of the items he has, he has taken pictures of and had orbs of light around the objects.
well ive personally never had a haunted object, but my friends have had some ghosts try and hurt them b4 so they trapped them in rocks and other stuff. pictures, books. all that stuff.
One of my friends owned a cabinet that was reportedly haunted. Despite their moving it and closing the doors (mind you this was a heavy cabinet that couldn't be opened and closed without some force) they would repeatedly find it open and moved across the floor. They sold it before I myself could see for myself...
I have come across objects with certain energy. Sometimes I just put the thing down and fast. But I don't own anything that I think is actually "haunted persa"
things have energy sure... but i don't believe in hauntings.
lol...this is gonna sound so wierd.
i don't know if anyone remembers those stupid little toys that you punched, and they said something, there were like 3 or 4 phrases? well, anyways, i had one and one night my best friend was sleeping over and the damn thing started talking all by itself! we were so freaked out!
i doubt like hell it was haunted...batteries probably were just dying...but this post made me think of that!
Personally, I think those stupid little Furby toys are possessed...
My boyfriend has one, and when we were up in his parents' attic a couple months ago he brought his old Furby back downstairs. It bothered me so much that I made him shove it behind some junk in his closet...
I stumbled upon it today and it was buried under some crap in a laundry basket at the bottom of his closet. I swear, even though the closet door is closed and that thing is still buried, I can feel it watching me. It's 2:39AM and my bf is at work...I could be just paranoid cuz his room IS creepy at night when he's not here. Anyone else think I'm just a little paranoid or do you agree that Furbies are evil???
there are good ghosts though right? We hope so at least, sol trhere must be some good haunted objects, I just don't think that dolls are evry positively haunted, I think dolls are evil, all of them, those Brat dolls in the Kmarts I just said uhoh wrong turn, let me look for some gold fish. Maybe the big stuffed animals you win at the fair they might be good, but the damn stuffed elephant talkes up half your bed, if you are a girl with a menagerie I imagine. I just gave away my Bronx Zoo, well at least one Lion animal to a little girl in my building, her father is very bald, and she looks at me like I am a lion or something, and I am going to leave so I just wanted her to rememerb the lion in me, but then again, I imagine if I do die in some helicopter accident, and she gets to be like 15 or something, and she has got the lion doll, I assume in 12 years she'll be writing on this forum about some lion doll which i haunted, so man, I dunno, maybe all objects are bad.
i have a spirit that moves things theres not one certain object this little girl likes to hide things and throw my underwear on the floor after picking them up eh...
so i dont know she likes everything lol
There was time when I was young and oww so stupid that for cool points I grabed acouple of bricks from a, let us say a very paranormaly active house in my home town. The place was called Toddville (the street it was on) house, The place has a very sorted and desterbing past ( Those stories for another post) anyway, The house was being torn down and I not understanding the nature of such things at the time... Brought two bricks from the destruction home..Owww very bad very very BAD!!!!! With in a matter of just few days The banging started, Water faucets turning off and on with nobody there, Then the realy cool shit The shadows started to be seen. And not just by me, friends, my mother all started to see this creepy lil shit..
After awhile of all this and much debate with my friends it was decided it was time to remove the bricks. They were taken down to Clear Lake and thrown as far into the lake as I could throw them. And go fig all the activity stoped....Now years have past I am older and into paranormal research and investigations and learned DON"T bring the stuff home with you..... It's nice to visit but not live with.....
I live in a haunted house now it is haunted by my boyfriends grandmother and she likes to play tricks on him and i think that it is funny.
Somehow my post ended up in the wrong thread...
I haven't heard anyone mention smudging or cleansing of haunted places or objects. Does anyone here have an opinion on that as a solution to hauntings?
I used to smudge my home when I'd move and smudge friends who felt troubled and un'grounded'. Just some meditation and sage incense but I stopped because I gre to feel personally detatched from it. I've read that meditation and smudging could be an effective way to bring positive energy back and direct negative energy or negative spirits out.
I always believe that my grandmother's pearls were haunted, because I would remember putting them in my drawer and they would end up out of it.
well over 3 ago a came across a necklace it was very pretty so i start to wear it, and on the day of my grandmother's birthday(she passed away) i woke up and my back was hurting i looked at it and there were a bunch of marks on my back, i later found out it was my grandma necklace but i still dont know why those marks were on my back, they may have been a sign but i dont know
I believe it might be possible for an object to be haunted, but I've never experienced it.
my house is haunted as are all the houses on my street we have all see or felt ghosts in any one of them.......i see ghosts all the time they seem to come and go in my house.....i was told it's because they know not to fear me......we've even had a poulterguist
i have friends that put their energy into objects and these objects are felt to be haunted.
well... I do have an amulet but it is not haunted by spirits. I use it to transfer all my negative energy during my cleansing processes, so in it's own way you could classify it as haunted.
The only thing Ive ever encounted was a haunted asylum but that is more of a place than an object
me and a friend of mine found a cross awhile back and it was haunted. it kept flying across the room, coming off from around her neck, a whole bunch of wierd shit
I've not had any experience with haunted objects. Places, yes. Ogden, UT is filled with them, many of which I've been to and witnessed a few of the hauntings.
Speaking of Haunted Objects, though, check out Amityville Toaster at Illwillpress.com.
Foamy IS your lord and master. And this cartoon rocks.
(sorry this is so random, but I'm watching my DVD of this cartoon, and have adored it for a while)
i have encountered a couple of things that have been hauted and traveled from one lace to another..one as a dresser that my sister had bought..she almost like to have never got that thing out of her house..the second i aquired..it was a picture of an older couple that just seemed unhappy...and well during the night i could hear things hit the walls and sometimes a voice or two...but necre seen anything out of place or anything to that nature..
yeah i have me just about every house i've stayed in had haunted objects.
Moving Freezbe bottles to moving doors.
I beleive in people being cursed so I can easily see objects being haunted...loved reading the responses btw.
I have never had an object but I know when I go into certain shops in the past, i know imediatley i need to leave as its not a good place to be, can feel the evil or bad spirits, this is the closet to haunted things.. still very real though
i dont hv had ne such oblects till now but heard a lot abt em.
I know bout a hospital that's haunted.
People have vanised
