I have a cousin of whom I live with and he has what the doctors call night terrors. He will start screaming and there is no way to wake him up. We just have to wait for him to come out of it.
I have come to believe that he is accidently projecting himself somewhere else at night and screams because he is scared of something or another.
Any opinions...
bye bye typos
Not sure about the projecting to another place but anything is possible. I think that he might be have flashbacks at night about something that might have happened within his childhood.
Well, I've heard the fact that he screams in his sleep may mean he isn't getting into a deep enough sleep. Outside of that, I'm afraid I really have no clue...
I still have night terrors...I'm very definately older then 15 yrs old...Night Terrors are an extreme form of nightmares, they aren't easy for the person to deal with nor the people living withthem......They are often caused by stress the individual cant deal with in a normal dream state and yes when you wake up from them your exhausted, as for going to a new place nope mine are the same as they were when I was a kid.....They have some good meds out there but they can only gives these for a short time due to there nature....I wish you all the luck in the wrold figuring out the reasons for the terror until you do and this person works it out they will hang around
I think that you should use meditation.
To clear yourmind of all before you go to bed
I have personally used that in the past found it unhelpful sorry to say it would be nice if things came that easy.....You really have to find the source and work from there right now I am doing just that would have been much easier I'm sure when I was a kid better late then never for me..If this person is a child it may (the Night Terrors) be from either stranger type anxiety or even trama I hate to think a kid has been hurt in anyway but it sometimes stems from that..Also issues of separation can lead to night terrors in children.......
my little brother (he is 23) has had night terrors since he was 4 or 5...
he flipped over in an inner tube at a water park, the lifeguards flipped him back over as soon as it happened but that night he had his first night terror...
he would be screaming, his eyes were open and he could say things (though he didnt make any sense) but he was not awake... this continues to this day but is very infrequent... the docs say he will grow out of it but i dont know
He won't if he's like me cuz I've had those since I was a child and it's just gotten worse. As a matter of fact, I kick and scream and go wild when I sleep.... I am 23. It sucks I know but I've been told it's from unresolved issues during the day... Who knows.
I ALSO talk in my sleep and it makes absolutely no sense... Been told it's like a foreign language...
Yeah I know what you mean that happens to me other night...Now this will sound uttely stupid but my night terrors are always about one thing rabbits I am terrorfied of them have been since I was a kd and just because I know this doesn't ease the night terrors either it makes them worse..I am now 27 yrs old and still well have them.............
i also talk and walk in my sleep... i have awakened outside in the yard...
scary
I don't even remember the nightmares... My bf just tells me what happens and says I hit him sometimes... It makes me feel awful.
My younger brother had them when he was little, like 7 or 8. He'd wake up screaming and jump up and run off. Often my dad would have to tackle him (not a small guy) and said it was amazing how strong he was for a kid when he did it. It was like he was totally flipped out and in a state of panic. I think several times he woke up punching and put holes in the wall. He grew out of them fortunately, but they were rather terrifying.
He is only 2 years old so maybe he'll grow out of them. and thanx for the advise and opinions.
A question Mixedblood since he is only two has something new happened like possibly him starting a new day care or baby sitter....Like I said these really come out of stress we cant deal with on some other level.....
No nothing in his life has changed besides i moved in 6 months ago. And actually they started slowing down after i moved in. My aunt said he used to have them all the time.
wow i had the same thing happen to me i will start from the first day i met a girl that i within time would end up moving in with so we dated and moved in together the very first night we moved in her little girl who was at the time about 4 years old. so we all went to sleep and the little girl slept on the side of her mother only to go nutts screaming and kicking crying and just going nutts well after the 3erd night we saw a Dr. who told us about night terrors. We tried everything to help her baby nothing worked so finally her mother a "deeply religious catholic" gave us a candle that was blessed by a catholic father. You know i do beleive in god but but not as much as i should. she never had a Night Terror again but who knows all i know is the candle worked and as far as i know she is better i moved out after that crazy shit. message me if you want to hear more about this Ghost21
Umm well then I dunno what else to say hun but good luck get his parents check out everything that might have had a disturbance for him then if nothing checks out then you check the occult reasons have they moved recently has the house been cleansed etc etc kids are more sensitive to things then big people due to us learning how to block things out
Maybe its a past life memory? If thats the case, it will pass....

Night Terror Is A Dream State That Happens Prodomintaly In Infants....Infants Have A Nightmare That Is So Tramuatic They Start Screaming Like Someone Is Hurting Them The Only Way To Calm Night Terror Is By Slowly Rocking The Infant Letting Them Know You're There Or By Physically Trying To Wake Them Up...Belive It Or Not...Waking Up A Child Who Has Night Terror Isn't Hard...I Was Dignosed With It When I Was An Infant...My Nephew Had Night Terror When He Was An Infant...Most Infants Grow Out Of It By The Time They're 2....If A Child Is Older And Suffering From These Dreams...It's Usually Due To A Experience In Their Life (I.E... Molestion, Rape, Or The Death Of A Family Member That They Were Really Close To....) There's Nothing That Can Cure Night Terror With The Execpetion Of Long Sessions Of Therepy Or Hospitalization
It's hard to say what is causing it, but I learned to never rule anything out, anything is possible.
Most of the time night terrors are connected to a childhood trama but sometimes its just as simple as making them feel safe to fix it.
Often it is helpfull to have some kind of "white noise" going in the background while they sleep or calming music.
If you want to go with a more spiritual direction put sea salt in the window and door frames and go through the home wafting burning sage to purify the home from any negitive energys that he may be picking up in his sleep.
The woman with whom I am sharing a house currently has suffered from night terrors for many years- she takes a great many drugs in order to get some sleep, and most of the time she still has them she just doesn't wake up completely from them..the doctors have currently got her taking serequel, which seems to be helping, although she says she doesn't dream at all, and I wonder if not dreaming at all is really the best thing in the world, since it is in our dreams that we work out such things...
with night terrors in most cases yes it is mostly kids under the age of 10 but there are situations where they have gone past that age ...some doctors have said its something that dates back to a early child hood such a abuse ot a tramatising event.. but im not doc im just passing on what ive beem told...
I think that it could also be an event from a past life coming through the unconcious...since it usually only happens to children.
I can't remember where I read this, but night terrors are the opposite of sleepwalking. When you sleepwalk, your body is awake but your mind is asleep. With night terrors, your mind is at least partially awake but your body is still asleep. You can't move, you feel like something is holding you down, weighing on your chest, but you feel awake. You can't even move your head. You can open your eyes and scream, but the whole rest of your body is completely paralysed. You're awake enough to know what you are feeling and that it's not just a nightmare, and if that weren't scary enough, you're just coming out of a dream which might still be just tapering off in your mind. It's like a nightmare come to life. I've only had it happen to me once, after reading a brief description in a dream book (I'm very suggestible, probably would make a good hypnotism subject) and afterwards I looked it up in more detail and all the symptoms matched. Wasn't a pleasant experience at all.
- It's caused when you awake too suddenly from a dream and your body doesn't have time to catch up with your mind. Because of the frightening awakening you go into a blind panic.
The sleep aid Ambien works wonderfully. I had the same problem a few years back and Ambien was a godsend.
Ambian works extremelyy well. It's short acting and allows for REM sleep. It is habit forming and can only be used for short periods. Not an ultimate solution.
well, there are cases I believe where night terrors and sleep walking can occur. Just as a dolphin sleeps with one eye open, humans have some brain activity drifting in their brains.
There was a MASH episode where Hawkeye has the terrors stemming from a mentor he looked up to whom drowned him repeatedly. The thing that set it off was a soggy mildewy smell of like decomposed algae in a uniform of a soldier who fell in apuddle with a broken leg and was there for days.
They brought in a hypnotist to uncover the trigger, what set off the terrors. The betrayl of the mentor, someone he looked up to when he wsqa eight or so, was very traumatic. Only under hyponosis the truth came out, for it was buried in his mind even from the patient. Some things are to disturbing to face, so we bruy them in our minds as if they never happened.
Your brother will continue to have these terrors, and perhaps even sleep walk - in the future when he is older, wlaking to figure out what is in his brain that is possessing him that won't let him rest.
The bad memory goes into the unconcious or the subconcious, and that is the state of mind the brain is in while it is sleeping. The unconcious sleepwalks to uncover the subconscious night terrors, and the two work in unison trying to uncover the truth. However when the boy awakes he forgets everything. That is why you need a hypnotist to get in his head and uncover what lies in his sub and un conscious.
It is not a matter of not getting into REM sleep or not being able to get enough good sleep. The boy is in there as real as it gets, so vivid so under it is almost psychedelic. It is quality dreamstate just in a negative dimension. The terrors would interrupt the total amount of hours spent sleeping of course.
But this is all just on first take. I will think more about this and come up with a better solution than simply hypnotism.
Ambien can only be taken for 8 days. That is not a solution either.
The root of the problem must be uprooted or it will haunt the boy into manhood.
As stated above I have heard many times night terrors can result from past life trauma. Try doing some past life meditations to see if you can find out what is causing this. I also agree with cleansing the room of negativity with whatever method your path dictates.
Good luck with your little cousin, not a nice thing at any age
I have also heard that they can be visions of a past life experience...or experiences for that matter...... if not that, or re-occurring nightmares I am puzzled on what they could be.
i hope your cousin and you are getting the info you needed ....
Hey everyone thanks for the info. i really appriciate it.
I have suffered with night terrors, they starting occurring when I moved into my last flat, exactly like Vashita described. I would have them at least once a week for over 4 years. It was horrible my partner would be lying next to me, I could here him breath but no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t move. The thing was it felt as if there was a presence in the room at the time which made it even more terrifying. Since I moved I have not had any for over 6 months.
I have had night terrors since I was a child, sometime actually very often they come as a reoccuring dream.
Night terrors are very horrible to see, it is frightening! It also may cause other afflictions because it interrrupts our normal sleep pattern.
I also am unsure about this 'projecting himself' part.
I know a little about these as my friend is a victim of these. I think it is probably to do with brain activity, i'm not sure.
Although i've never seen it take place, i've heard it's a horrific experience. My mates family would run about moving sharp objects out the way and such like.
My little sister used to have night terrors when she was about 6 or 7 years old. I used to talk to her before bed or sing to her, and my grandmother would always put a mixture of lavender, pine needles and fresh vanilla beside her bed. We also put a night light in her room. I think this helped her to relax more, and she eventually outgrew it a year later. Now she sleepwalks...
Wow. I think anything is possible. He needs to learn to protect himself.
I didn't know Ambien was habit forming...silly me. Maybe that's why I loved it so much! Anything good has got to be bad for ya right? LOL
I've heard of night terrors before, but I don't really know much about it. So, I decided to go to this website to find out more. Here is the address and info I found. Hope this helps :)
http://www.nightterrors.org/med.htmNight Terrors
People who have night terrors are often misdiagnosed. The most common one is a simple nightmare. Any of you who have had a night terror can say they aren't even close! Another common misdiagnosis (especially among veterans) is PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. For this reason I have included a description of the difference between nightmares and night terrors.
Night Terrors Symptoms: Sudden awakening from sleep, persistent fear or terror that occurs at night, screaming, sweating, confusion, rapid heart rate, inability to explain what happened, usually no recall of "bad dreams" or nightmares, may have a vague sense of frightening images. Many people see spiders, snakes, animals or people in the room, are unable to fully awake, difficult to comfort, with no memory of the event on awakening the next day.
Night Terror or Nightmare?: Nightmares occur during the dream phase of sleep known as REM sleep. Most people enter the REM stage of sleep sometime after 90 minutes of sleep. The circumstances of the nightmare will frighten the sleeper, who usually will wake up with a vivid memory of a long movie-like dream. Night terrors, on the other hand, occur during a phase of deep non-REM sleep usually within an hour after the subject goes to bed. This is also known as stage 4. (A link to a sleep stages chart can be found on the navigation bar to the left) During a night terror, which may last anywhere from five to twenty minutes, the person is still asleep, although the sleepers eyes may be open. When the subject does wake up, they usually have no recollection of the episode other than a sense of fear. This, however, is not always the case. Quite a few people interviewed can remember portions of the night terror, and some remember the whole thing.
Medications
Below are just a few of the medications currently prescribed for Night Terrors. Some of these medications fall under the ANTI-DEPRESSANTS category. If your doctor has prescribed something different, most likely it is a generic of the below or in the same class, you should be fine. If you don't want to take a prescription drug to control night terrors be sure to check out St Johns Wort.
Klonopin
Tofranil
Valium
St. Johns Wort
Also check out Darlene's cure for childhood Night Terrors.
It takes about one to two weeks of experimenting with the dosages of the above medications to find a happy medium between having an episode free night and getting up in the morning! Whatever you do don't give up after a couple of days. You have to give it a chance. A number of the readers of this page have had some success in controlling night terrors by using a mask to cover the eyes at night. I have heard about an article that outlines the results of using a mask for night terrors, but I have not been able to locate the article. I have not tried this approach for the simple fact that I have a hard enough time as it is getting up in the morning. But don't let me stop you from trying this approach. Remember what doesn't work for one person may work for another.
hmm night terrors sounds like fun i wonder if i cause any of them
Ive come to believe that he is coming into his powers way too early causing his body to act oddly at night. I cant find any other reason. Ive searched all logical reasons and nothing fit so i had to turn to supernatural.
I've woke up with three different type of night terrors. Screaming and not remembering what about. same ,but, silent scream, throat to dry. same but cant move.
I don't think drugs are the answer. Finding out the root of the nightmare when he gets old enuff to discuss such things. It has to be dealt with on a psychological level. Anti depressents cause irrevokable chemical brain dependency. That is why they don't give it to minors.
St John's wort is a mood stabilizer though, and is a plant.
Nightlights, chamomile, the vanilla idea and lavender smells, all good ideas, but not a candle, that could burn down the house.
REM state happens like clockwork ever 45 minutes, but that is for the nightmares. I bring it up only because obviously the related article posted was dated, and this is the freshest information I have come to grips with.
Anti depressents, well they put 50 pounds on me, and made my face look retarded as well as do a number of other things.
Fostering natural brain chemistry by getting enough peaceful sleep, and removing demons is essential for your cousin to have a normal and healthy life.
I stress, if you believe in hypnotism then it can work. I would spin stories to him anout the realities of hypnotism as he grows up and make him a firm believer so he can be put under to remove the root of the problem in his subconscious.
I don't believe in hypnotism, and people who don't generally can't be hypnotized.
not to nit pick,
but it was mentioned that peeps have them after that age
war vets and vets of life
the child is 2.
Yeah, but problems have to be taken care of. If the underlying cause of the symptomatic behavior is not uprooted, then it will go beyond into the adult stages.
Fears, dreams of fears have a history of building in plot. It is not the same dream over an over again. It is a book that never ends, with the plot twists only to frighten you more and more. Nip this in the bud, while you have a chance....
i have had some night terrors previously. they can be very disturbing. i also have been told i talk in my sleep but it is not elligable..like in a diff language. when you find yourself outside in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, not knowing how you got there, it can be scary. though once i was having a night terror and i ended up jumping off of my bed and i woke up as i was going through the air. that was kind od thrilling
I have night terrors... awake and aware yet paralyzed. I try to scream but nothing comes out until it's over... Sometimes It's a dark faceless being pinning me down, and sometimes it's invisible yet I can feel the pressure of hands....hhmmmm
Gothpunkstar.. I experience the same.
I was half awake. This faceless black ghoul thing came and pressed me down, the duvet pressing over my face. I was aware of it, but utterly paralysed and silenced, plus desperatly trying to breathe, could do nothing.
im sorry to hear that but i dnt know what to tell you the worst thing that happend to me in my sleep was thinking a naughty dream was real and i seriously thought it was but when i awoke there was no one there god i hate that
i have them and i woke up many times to hitting the person attempting to sleep next to me no fun ad lots of bruises
AS I said I would go and do some research not of the normal causes of this condiction but into the arcane angle..I have found some interesting information and I will share this with you either here or via e-mail or Message Mixedblood...
You maybe right he could very well be coming into his power what ever that maybe.....
This maybe the distress I am still working from the arcane side again message me and I'll get this information to you......
I have something of information. In those cases, debit sides of speaking to the, saying that this in a sure place and to try to calm him. This way the one will have but security of where the this, and he woke up or he'll sleep again
Good to see you are up young man.
The esoteric nature of arcane concepts is only esoteric because it was not intended to be understood. However, clearly things arcane to some are clear to others. Lay it on us Mikhail...
withholding information is one of the worst cases of deceit.
Not intended Vampireinthesun it was just this was the first time I have gotten into contact with her about this subject since we spoke of my researching this and trying to help someone so young..I want her premission so to speak and probably shouldn't have posted that as such I have found interesting corolations between past lives and certain forms of dreams and nightmares..I have night terrors but of the normal variety...So I had told her that I would research this to the best of my ability...I had however since speaking to gotten sick and had to lay low for a bit.. I am now re-entering the subject thread to give her this info for her nephew it is with him I am most concerned not the knowledge I have gained at her behest....I attempt to be honorable in all things I do and I must however at this time follow my own code and share only that which i am asked for by the intended persons
actually I noticed the absence of your presence.
By all means man, confidential is confidential. The symptoms of trauma, night terros, are caused by traumatic events. Something indeed happened. There is a great short story by Guy De Maupassant, about a crying baby in a crib, and it had something to do with a male coming into the house and treating his or her mother wrong. It was never identified what was the wrong doing, or why the baby stopped crying, but that is why Guy is one of my favorite writers, he did not dodge a difficult subject, but he also wrote it in such a way that he definately caused social change in his day.
I mean for a child the demonic possession could be quite innocent. A pistacchio shell could have fallen in his shoe before going to a picnic, and the baby cries for hours and hours until finally the shoe is inspected and the source of the commotion ended. The baby runs around on the grass and steps on a bee.
But I have several stories. Whatever is bothering the kid could be innocent as I suggest, but whatever it is. I have mentioned before some people completely rewire their brains to avoid memories of things that happened, and their whole frontal lobe has no activity, they use the rest of the unused brain to think higher thoughts, and their brain is rewired.
Another case was my first woman whom I made it back to her bed. Something happened to her at an early age, and she refused to talk. I related to her, because coming from Italy to America I didn't talk for a long time. At the age of two to be dropped in another land where they speak a different language is quite confrontaional. I didn't talk for more than a year.
I was however on this woman's pink bed spread because when she didn't talk they made her see a speech therapist from Australia, and so she being an American talked like an Aussie. It was different and was one of the reasons why she made me swoon. Sometimes the bad things in life make us better.
My book on my love I can mention something I would not even put in the book because of the nature of the topic. I will not be a spy in the house of love, and make money from these interesting stories that never see the light of day. Something happened to my soul mates mother at a very early age, and since you guys don't know me from Adam, I can admit in anonimity, that as a result from that childhood experience she has 13 different personalies, which attracted a very very very rich man. Another case where something very very very bad turns out good in the end.
It could be a pistacchio nut and bee sting on the foot and a fear of shoes. Or it could be something else. I suggest that whatever you discuss with her Mikhail, that you metaphorically take the pistacchio nut out of this cousin's shoe, so the baby doesn't limp for the rest of it's life. Night terrors are very stressful, they can make you age faster, by not enough rest harms the soul body mind spirit life.
Yes night terrors are stressful I still suffer from them and I am one of those rewired folk of which you spoke of..Vampireinthesun still much of my past lost, come to find out now this is what saved me from total insanity..The mind is a wonderous place, nothing to mess around with...I don't however think his night terrors are like mine of a mundane nature...I will check out the author you suggested here...
I am not going through my library all over again I was just up on step ladders with a flashlight looking for PLato's account of Atlantis. I got books to perfect, and I am searching for Atlantis. But Mikhail I had no idea, man, I am so sorry about that which you do not understand. You will never know. If your brain has been rewired, the brain activity has ceased where the incident has been pigeon holed. I doubt it is even in your subconscious. I mean you told me you are around thirty years old right? If you don't know by now you never will. What you could do is interview people from back yonder, that might trigger something.
The Guy book is a short story collection. I don't remember seeing it on this flashlight pass, but in the daylight I will search again to give you the title of the story. He used to do like one or two word titles. Very terse.
my daughter had them for awhile and it scared me half to death. but then i discovered that she would only have them when she watched scare tacktics on tv and when i stopped allowing her to watch it or allow it to be watched at all in the home she stopped having them
my grandfather has night terrors and he's 74. his are from past experiences though. He was in the Korean War and he screams so loud and hits anything that's around him. I know that a lot of people think that that comes from old age, but i don't believe so. The sounds of his screaming is so blood curdling that it makes me want to cry at times
yeah public humiliation and fear combined is brutal. All that is is Candid camera going a little too far...
I guess the cousin could be asked what they fear most. and then play twenty questions around that topic. The central fear will be exposed, but I am sure this has already been done.
The child is young yet, if you can speak to them in words they understand, and all they have to do is say yay or nay, then the kid feels safe.
I have said my piece I am not going to ring in on this thread anymore. Out of ideas obviously.
My son suffered from night terrors for the longest time. I recently learned in psychology that it has to do with neurons in the brain, the hippocampus, and REM sleep interferences.
somtimes sience isnt the answer. people go different places when they sleep. some go darker than others.
some go to the spirit realm others their formation of fear into a "hell" like place. it really depends on the person.
well the REM stage sleep interference is that everytime you get into REM the dream turns into nightmare, and instead of being a feel good dream that is going to revitalize your body it is the shock of pure horror, and thus it interfears with REM sleep in that way. Sleeping without REM is destructive to the body. Without REM it is like yu never even sleep at all.
Peopple who smoke too much pot lose the REM ability and that is why they have to smoke pot when they rise from bed because they can't get out of bed because the pot has stolen their REM sleep and they are tired because .... well you get the picture.
i know axactly what your cousin is going thou, cuz i used to have them too. id kick, scream, claw, punch, what ever it took to get away while i slept i didnt know that the monster in the dream was my biological father who used to beat me when i was only 1 1/2 to 5 years old. i am 20 and i just got throu the terrors about 10 months ago. these terrors are extremely hard to get over and they can last as long as the person keeps a hold onto the memory that is causing them. i wish for the child to get throu this troublsome time safely blessed be and stay safe.
I dunno...I had night tremmors as a kid. they found out it was an adverse reaction to cough medicine. I only took the medicine for three nights when I had a cold...but the tremmors lasted for a month or so. I just remember horrible sweats and vivid nightmares of awful demonic looking things that wanted to eat me. It was a long time ago, and I dont know if it really was a reaction to the medicine or not...but I thought I'd share
nowadays they do dna makeups of what you are allergic to. Once you do a scan of the dna stays the same, and although medicines can change, they already know you are allergic to something. Some allergens can kill you. Some make you suicidal. I don't believe in modern medicine at all.
what he is expieriancing might be the fear of his own darker half which persents itself most often in dreams. i have hadf this and the only way i could stop it was though severe meditaion and accepting my dark self as part of me
Dark Greeting's, My opinion tou'r cousins darkest of dark side's trying to talk with them.I have ben called shaman,I've delt with this my self.It may sound STUPID, but tell you'r cousin to sit down with it and have coffee or a beer or drink. You'r cousin will get some kind of totem from it I even did a Divination on it.Hope this helps after he speaks with it it will never chase him/her again.
Dark Blessing's, KA
think the kid is too young to confront yet
but eventually in time I believe one can have a dream where you control what happens
I actually conquored my main demon in a dream
I understood finally why she fiored me from teaching, and instead of killing her in my dream, I forgave her and then she was vanquished,
forgiveness I found out by accident was the way to conquor a demon, in my case at least, but in order to forgive you have to under why they did what they did.
my 2 year old cousin lives with me and he has night terror almost every night...the best thing ive found to do is sit next to him and keep telling him its ok even though he isnt awake he will hear it in his night terror and might help him snap out of it sooner...then when he wakes up just let him cry and hug him for as long as he wants to hug or whatever...make sure he knows your there for him...because of me doing this with my cousin he is having night terror less then half as much as he used too...good luck
My little nephew (he's 5) has had these since he was 3. It is very scary. He looks wide awake but isn't. The docs told my sister that it was due to stress. If they could bring down his stress level he would have them less often. And said he should grow out of them.
i have never met anyone who that happend to but i hope you find whatever your looking for... sorry
i have never met anyone who that happend to but i hope you find whatever your looking for... sorry
my bf had them when he was younger,he grew out of them hasn't had them in a long time since he was about 11 years old,he doesn't talk about it,so i don't press the issue!!!!
most kids grow out of it,my daughter has them once in a while,i am hoping she will grow out of them too!!!!!!
I have them since 11. Im 34. They mainly happen to me when there is alot of stress on my body and mind. Sometimes I have even felt demons abusing me. With visions of hell.Your mind seems to be awake but you cant move your body or wake up.
ok first off, I mention this only cause it is freaking me out, but what is up with the blue type..? second.. does he remember nothing when he wakes up? perhaps he is not projecting but being mentally attacked in his sleep by demons
There really isn't much of a cure for night terrors. There are a bunch of different ways you can cope and calm him down. The best way I know of is to make sure he is as calm as possible when he goes to sleep. Try reading him a book at night. I know it helped me a lot when I was younger. I hope things work out for you sweet heart.
I still have Night Terrors, very rarely though.
I had one last night, dreaming I lost my SO
trauma actually constructs new brain power to solve problems. I can control my dreams because I have nightmares to face. It is a long story but, I will boil it down to just the facts
After someone did something basd to me, I almost went mad, I was betrayed on the highest level which threatened my macho self formation. I heard his voice and then his laughter. I woyuld hear music too, then I heard Tamaras voice my soulmate, then the girl I was currently loving, this all happened in a space of weeks, then my mother, then my brother, then I wondered wqhy I hadn't heard my father
then a week later I heard my father he warned me not to go further into my mind because I would go mad
you all know what Vampariah would do
I didn't listen to my father, and I went ointo dream and I heard a strange voice, when I woke up I heard my voice, and now in my dream I "I" have conversations with my characters and so I can act in my dreams and change where the dream goes because I have this power.
I did not go mad as my father thought, I got in touch with myself
I plugged into my three brains and they all came into one, the consciouos the subconcious, the id or super ego, all of it, the right brain the left brain the hippocampus, I had achieved higher power
If your cousin reaches the state of mind I am in he can go into his dream and face off with his opponent, of course it takes 38 years to get to where I got, but now with my knowledge he has a chance to get there, because he will know to listen to his inner mind and not be afraid of himself.
I didn't know about that I could hear my voice, the fact that he will be made available this klnowledge is a feather in his hat. He may not like what he will find out, but it has to be done before he becomes a man. He will not be himself until he rids himself of a powerful demon...
