INTUITION....I dont know how many of you have this gift .. good or bad i have it and sometimes i think it annoys some people because i can tune into a person pretty fast and know how they feel and what is going on with them. LOL and if at first they dont want to talk about whats bothering them i think they get annoyed lol. I guess though some people like it or trust the feeling because they tend to talk to me quite easily and divulge information they usually have never told or thought they would ever say to anyone. I keep there secrets locked away like a human diary or safe. So i often tend to be the sounding board for peoples problems or troubles which is cool but heavy in the heart sometimes if theres not something i can do to help . So if you have this gift please tell me how you feel and deal with it....

I tend to do that at times. I am real good about telling when others are down, or when somethinghas happened and they are trying to hide it. I reda people very easy, even if I have not known them for long. A look in the eyes and I know what they are going through and such.

Yes i can do it over the internet, over the phone i just read people instantly its alittle hard to discribe.

I as well can do that. i have no clue how but I can. It's a gift.

Yes you feel immediate empathy for the person.I fthey are having problems lol i have had enough of my own to feel the deepth of how there soul is hurting or what not.

I also feel the connection in diffrent places sometimes its in my head, sometimes in my heart, sometimes i can feel the connection in my soul like a reaching or yearning? does that make sense?

I have a few gifts I'm not sure about. I'd like to be in control over them. Intuition is one of them. Dreaming into the future is another. I suppose they're gifts, but I can't control them well.

control you just need to relax you get to worried about control , its inside you i can tell you just need to let your instincts take over , dont worry when you relax control will come, the dreaming on the other had is not something i have .but the feeling is strong in you for intuition i feel it in my heart and soul

its clairsentinence, like a trait to clairvoyance, but major difference. My ability allows me to feel deep vibes, almost like I can read someone from a book, or tap into a source.

It's my opinion angeleyes7496 that you have psychic/empathic abilities. Everyone has intuitive abilites both vampires and non vamps. But being able to read people both online and up close is a gift.

i can reall y appreciate your response you seem very sincere and nurturing and I never knew what exactly it was i experianced i knew it was a stronger for esspecially with my loved ones. Like i knew the exact moment my grandfather passed and spoke it aloud and was not near him when he died . my family doesnt talk about it much other then asking me how i knew.. they kind of brushed it to the side as me being odd i guess lol i always have been that. I agree...everyone has intuition to some extent....you are just a bit better at reading it than most...
don't hate it..learn to use it..then you also will learn to shut it off/turn it on...

I dont hate it am just confused by it from time to time becaus emost people i know dont have it to the extent i do and it makes them nervous

i had it once and then the one who half turned me vampire took it away i the way i used to deal with it was like if out of know were i started crying or if i was scared i would try to find that person cause usealy it was someone i was connected already and then help them and it would go away.......basicaly try to help the person if you can find who the problem belongs to

I think everyone has intuition but some people give into it more than others i think its like your star sign you either believe in it and accept it make it part of your life or you just disregard it and move along.

Some people are more open to how others feel, most of those people come from a large family where there are emotions flying all over the place and they actually "feel" for their siblings when they're in pain or in trouble and thats something that they carry on throughout their life.

i can appreciate that but for me its more than just guessing how someone feels and it doesnt necessarily have to be my family.It could be anyone.

Everyone has it to some degree, just depends on whether you listen to it or not.

I have experienced many cases where my intuition was dead on correct. Usually knowing the outcome of something, such as relationships, movies, books, different situations.

I have a good sense about what others are feeling, as far as feeling good or feeling bad. Other than that, I am clueless about people.

I do that all the time, day in and day out. It can be a good thing and a bad thing. I have intuition and I have empathic abilitys.

I've had a curse all my life, I get deja vu sometimes and when i do something really bad happens, like the last time, my beloved cat got a blood clot in her legs and died screaming. My friends have had accidents, family members die and depending on how strong the deja vu feeling is to me is how bad the event is. I also have times when i get a quick flash of i guess you could call the future, it's a 2 second flash never any more and it's normally of something that will happen in the next few seconds of my life. the first time it happened I was 14 and sitting on the floor reading my spell books that i had hidden from my christian mother and i had a flash of her walking in the door and i shook it off as paranoia and then she walked through the door and caught me with them. Also little things, like going out into a sunny day and thinking of needing an umbrella and not taking one then later it's raining and i wish i had. that one happens all the time. Or i'll dream of the next day, that ones fairly common. I have a gift, and the curse of not believing in myself.

there are ways to increase your intution, through semi precious stones :)

As I read these posts, I am struck that some are Empathic descriptions and others are Precog's ...

Precognition is something else entirely ... the ability to be sensitive and recognize the furture and predict it acturately ...

As an Empath, my gift enhances my skill as a therapist ... to some extent I have control of it ... and in some occassions it just happens ... it tends to shut down when overtly tested ... but it can occur then also ...

I love this gift and I would not give it up for anything ... And yes ... I can do this over the internet ...

I have learned the hard way, to trust it ... for I am right more often than not ... I do not profess to be 100% accurate ...

i Have intuition everytime i don't fallow it i end up in bad situations

Personaly in my own life I get intuition confused with my many other emotions. I have a tendancy to absorb peoples emotios though. I think it is quite a bit different. My soul takes on the mood of the person or persons around me. I dont even have to know the person or talk to them. I just look at their eyes and it happens. Is this in any way conected to

I am very empathic. I can "read" people with little more than reading a self discription, almost anything that they have put themself into. I don't do it all the time, and I very very rarely do it on request. And I never go beyond what people have in their public mind without permission. I mainly don't because it scares people off.

I love this ability, makes it really easy to determine who to put effort into as a friend.

I have it as well...and different degrees of it at different times.
I was once playing dart with a friend, looking him straight in the eye as he through his dart I called where it would land..I called it like 5 times before he freaked out and told me to stop. But, when I concentrated and tried to call them it didn't work. It is like it happens when I don't even try...but when I try I get it wrong every single time. Not just about darts about people, events, different things all the time.

I think I am pretty good at reading people whether it be over the net, Over the phone or in person. Its really not that hard if you are able to do it

I'm inclined to agree with Lady Rowan and LORD RHIAKATH. The use if Intuition is looking at an outcome. there are however many roads to go on to reach such out come one can use empathy which is reading someones emotions and reactions. precog is knowing or seeing the future. One can use one the other or both to acheve simmalra goals but thy are different gifts altogher. The way intuition is use is not wrong just missleading intuition is synomous with instints. instints are something that are normaly experienced when you are not using contious thought to achieve a goal. though through pratice and meditation contious and subcontious thought can start to become one. I have the same issue as angeleyes7496 i am a walking diary of human secrets. I am still trying to perfect controling it myself.

I find that I have a really good intuition but that i'm even better at second guessing it and thus proving it useless. I don't know how many times my first choice of action was the correct one...only to be put aside for my second, third or fourth choice and usually the incorrect choice of action.

I have crazy intuition. I can tell a billion things about a person just after like a minute of meeting them. 99.9% of the time I'm correct. It's creepy sometimes when you're telling negative things, but at the same time, it's an amazing thing. It can be stressful though when you know something but your friends would never believe bc of how they feel about that person. You just gotta take it as it comes.

I have a strong intuition, and am also right almost all the time.

I managed to scare a guy once, because just by looking at him I could give him almost his entire life story....lol..

Intuition is something everyone has to some degree at least, and sorry to bring this up guys, but womans intuition are often better than mens.

I definitly believe in intuition. Instinct has been a powerfull pull in human nature for a long time. I think some people have it stronger than others. Some tend to ignore it while others use and trust it daily. Every time I choose not to trust my instincts I get burned

i've always had a good sense of other people, like how they're feeling and what type of people they are. i can always sense a change in them to like if they've become a bad person or if the situation we're in has turned another way. even as a child i was able to do this.

meditation helps me to discover my gifts and control them

I have a certain amout of intuition and empathy, I find that if I go against what my intuition is telling me , it usually ends up for the worst.

Id like to hear some ideas of where you all think this gift comes from what parts of the brain are involved etc.....

Going back to some of the earlier comments, I have to agree that having a deeper understanding/empathy for others really DOES seem to confuse/disturb those few who are even attentive enough to notice. For example, when I first started my job, I caused quite a bit of upset because I knew...just KNEW...whether a staff would be good with my clients (who are developmentally disabled and also have some sort of mental illness as well) or not. I would argue the HR Director under the table and flat put my foot down about NOT sending any particular staff that I'd "read" as incompatible for my clients to their particular homes. The administrative staff there in my office didn't seem to understand how I was so new to both my job and to my clients, yet I seemed to know so much about them...and be SO right in the longrun...but I WAS. I didn't even try to explain. In some situations, especially professional ones, there's just no use. I've had this very strong sense of intuition...empathy...whatever you want to call it...since I was about 10, however. I just seem to "GET" people. It's nice, but it comes with its drawbacks. Sometimes it would be nice to be oblivious. ;oP

I believe that everyone has intuition. It is just stronger is some. Others don't listen to it. The more you use it the stronger it gets

I can tell if something is wrong with someone also and I also get the gut thing when something is about to happen... It has actually saved me more than once...

that was actually useful, it said that my ability is used in clear sensing, meaning I can tap into the history of a place, so much for csi, HA!

Yeah... instant empathy for someone and their feelings... and being able to sense them right away.

I usually keep it to myself until I fear something horrible might come around the corner if I don't open my mouth.

I do have this gift as well. (People) open up to me with their problems like I am their psychiatrist. It is sometimes a heavy burden on the heart, and shoulders especially because I sometimes tend to take their problems as if they were my own. The best thing to do is just give the advice and comfort that you can and try to brush it off, or you will be carrying extra load that you don't need that can weigh you down.

I would say many people have certain gifts .. It depends on how open they are to recieve them ya know

I too have this.. It's good to know we aren't alone, isn't it?? I have had perfect strangers just pour their hearts out & later say that they can't believe that they just told a stranger their problems.. I truly believe, that their eyes can tell you everything!!

I've never heard it called intuition. But rather empathy. I do posess this gift that sometimes seems like a curse. I used to be able to feel people's pain that i didn't know that were hundreds of miles away. Finally i learned to block it. To only let in those i would like to. Usually just the people i am close with. It will get overwhelming unless you learn to control it.

I to can read ppl. mainly by there eyes and sometimes they get pissed cuz they are trying to front a good appearance on being happy or what not and there not.

i have always been very intuitive , it creeps most of the people i meet out my friends have gotten used to it over the years some of us have stronger bonds then the others my strongest bond is with my mom her and i seem to know when something is wrong with the other even though we live 800 miles apart

Well , i just got some news and if anyone who has a handle on how to control this i need to know... My baby needs surgery and already i am a mess the surgery isnt until sept 1... This is my baby so i am much more intune to her any suggestions what i can do while shes going through this will be very very appreciated.

I know the feeling. you and i area alot alike. i think everyone has the powers to tune into one anothers mind and feelings however most just dont know how to unlock it. you should learn when to use it because other peoples problems can become a heavy burden and lead you to depression that could be avoided easily. You also have to think of other people some people dont like being so easy to read so you must respect them and no matter hwo tempting it is to scroll through their minds pages like a book.

Yea I can read people pretty well, online and off. Offline it is a little harder for me and I pretty much only do it with those to whom I talk to alot. In person though, it comes very easily. I used to stay inside all the time because the pain I would feel from others (from just being in public) was so tremendous that it hurt me. It took me a while to learn how to control but now it is not so much of a problem unless I am already weakened (mainly by the sun but some other sources also).

I'm pretty good at reading people as well, but I don't think it's empathy with me, I think I'm just really good at being able to look at a person and read their body language to tell when something is bothering them

i have the same exact gift, it almost seems like i am most of my friend's personal confidant. This is a very positive gift however, if used to it's full ability. I have decided to make a career out of it and go to college for psychology and maybe one day be a psychiatrist...as it seems i would be to most of my friends anyway lol

I disagree with it being a burden though. It helps relieve you of you're own feelings because they become one with someone else and then these feelings are not held by you alone.

Intution is a natural instinct... just some people are not aware and others are. It warns you of danger and focus's your attention on yourself ..

I agree with most that Intuition is something we all have yet some have honed in on this ability better then others. I like you can pick up on peoples emotions and feeling just by how the appear to me or come acroos in their words on the internet. Most of the women in my family has this GIFT we treasure it and respect it. I too knew when a loved one died before it came and it was my mother.It is very errie and very very unsettling at times also, as you say heavy on the heart when there is nothing you can actually do for the person except be there and let them have that sounding board to come to. I really do feel it is a blessing for us that have it as well as a cruse, yet we tend to help more then not. And that is how I deal with it to be thankful for the ones I can help out and to understand themself or the situation.. You are a very special person and that in itself will reward you in your life. Yet I do understand the heartache it can bring you. My intuition is harldy trained but often like the sun parting the morning mist it will hit me. Its more instinct and gut feeling for me than my intuition lately. Reading people can sometimes be easy or it can be the devil which escapes me.

i have a bad one...i dont trust it cuz useally it ends up wrong..

there hath been many a time in my life where i hath known something to be hidden from me. something to be wrong or conceled from my concil. yet i never know the whole unmasking. only that there is something beneeth the mask. i prompt at it until it is laine bare unto me, and from there to i see its truth and thus begin to mend taht which was broken.
i too was gifted with Dreams. ibeklieve dreams tell us and show us taht which we will not see for ourselves. all dreams are wisdom, yet we must lean to use them in wisdom and not greed.
i too see that many fear that wich i know, so begin to withdraw as ui will not let them hide from their beautys truth. but many come to see that i wish know and they thus become to be whole with the guidence i canoffer and the courge to face themselves.
but of corse, ther are some you must leave behind the mask, their soul to weak to face thruth, therefore we must also become wellknown with judgement call.

I have wonderful intuition.. however I would probably save myself alot of grief if i listened to it once in awhile. I tend to not listen to it.. if it doesnt go with what I really want.

angeleyes i think every body has intuition its called male and female intuition, its that gut feeling you get when something wrong is about to happen or when some wrong has already happened and you find out later that it did happen, or something to that effect... but i think what you have is called emapthy, your an empath i am one as well, and i think this might explain it...

An Empath has the psychic ability to not only read energy, but to literally feel its effects within the persons own body, and other's, in other words "To energetically empathize with another".
In short, when someone has an experience to which they have a physical or emotional reaction; you instantly "Get it".

There are some people who are said to be "Unconscious Empaths", that simply means that they are not schooled in that particular psychic ability, and they are a walking "Psychic Energy Sponge".
this type of person is "Picking-up energy from others unintentionally", this kind of person has to learn how to correct this behavior, because they will usually suffer on the spiritual, emotional, mental and even physical levels. They have the ability to literally sense, and absorb other people's symptoms, and problems.

This type of person is almost always carrying their Aura field pushed out from their physical body too far. When you keep your Aura field away from your body it loses its ability to protect you.
Instead of protecting you, it begins to act like a problem solving magnet that draws everyone else's problems into your Aura field, and therefore into your experience. You will begin to work on the effects of other people's problems, and think that they are your own. It is not healthy to walk around like this, and it is extremely exhausting.

I seem to be counter intuitive. I see it as a defense mechanism, since intuition runs very strongly on my mother's side of the family, but I didn't gain that gift. There are too many sides to my personality, which can change at a moment's notice. It's never safe to assume you know everything about me; I'll turn around and pull out something you never could imagine. And once someone gets used to that trick, I find another. This defense has served me well, and given many a person a headache.

Perhaps intuition or gut feeling is a hyper tuning of the senses? For instance if you are so tuned to your surroundings you may "feel" malice going to be done to you by an attacker. Or you may feel attraction to a total stranger and you "just know it".

There are others that may even see someone's aura and just know their intentions. But in both instances you must be aware of those senses and how to read them.

I am totally clueless....But i do think that if something like this happens it is just because of brain activity and electrical inductive pulses.

I hate getting and intuition about something and not neccessarily realizing it until it's too late. The deja vu part is the worst because that's when you realize what the feeling meant but it's too late to really do anything with the premonition (usually).

i have a form of it. i can read people and tell if they are bad or good. i mean if they are evil or if they are a decent person. i catch that vibe when i first meet them. am unable to do it over then net or phone yet.

Through my life, I have experienced this, "intuition" I've never known a name for it, but I've always been able to "tune" into people's feelings and emotions relatively easily. I have the same situation as you with people trying to tell me their secrets and desires that no one else knows. The way i deal with this, is I write. I write poetry, stories, and things like that. I never reveal names, but that's how I deal.

I have the gift I know when something is wrong. Even if it is self induced it still happens! It pisses me off and there is no way to switch it off or on it just is!~NFA

yeah i have it and premonisions and some times i wish i didnt have it but most of the time i can read some one like i would a book

I like having it. It helps you know if a person is good or bad for you right away. But I hate it if I know when something is wrong with someone and they won't admit to it.

I will say i do have this but only with people that are normally close to me or people i am familiar with. I think it is a gift that we should embrace but not push onto people too much

I am not so good in this area, but do know of some that is like inbred into them and are very good in this area.
it is a sweet gift yet a curse.

i dont know if what i have is intuition or not or even like it but i know i have precognitive gifts. i dont always like this gift, because its more a foretelling or forewarning of something coming up, and pretty much most of the time its bad, it never fails and is so far dead on.

Intutions a weird thing. Its like when I was dumped by my fionce on the weekend I knew she was lying to me and giving me a false reason.. But I knew it was ocming for a week

its very annoying at times for me, its one of the reasons i dont like being touched cuz its like strong flashes of emotions that enters me from them..most people have nothing positive to offer..

This ability is called Psychometrics. Anyone can learn it, but some have more natural empathy and potentially, a latent psionic ability to read auric energies, providing them with an advantage, in theory.

To be able to sense something that's going to happen is a rare gift, yet I personally don't like the term 'gift', since it isn't something given... it is something learned. Since I was a child I have realized I was able to see things happen before they did, yet I was too uneducated enough in being able to make any use of my talent. I have tried everything I can think of to master this skill, and I have merely only mastered the ability to catch things that fall around me, most of the time. I still cannot predict things more than seconds out. I wish I could longer, but I still must try -- I will never give up. :-)

i dont know but i can the screams of the dead. i hear the screams for help of millions every day of my life. i can not even go in to cemerties or where the dead are layed to rest. i even have visions of what will happen. most of the time it is really hard for me to deal with it. but i must carry this burden for it was given to me as a gift.
