If tomorrow you woke up, and suddenly realized your 3rd eye had opened to where you could foretell future events. How would you use this gift? I myself would only use it when necessary and not abuse it.

the third eye I have found is actually the link with your soul, it is like the combination of all the brain powers into one combination brain. I just yesterday felt energy seeping out of it, and I focused on the third eye of my soul and sucked the energy back in.

Since the thrid eye is the main reciever, once you get it to open you do have the abilities to see differently, than you had seen before.

You may not be able to actually see the future, but you may be able to understand messages from the dead, telling you how to remain alive. This is how I would use my third eye to prevent or dictate futures.

I just want to be a simple man though. The more I know the less I want to know. And I want this third eye to close and just be freaken normal.

This is too much, I am tired.

Perhaps it is only through having a greater awareness of one's surroundings and the effect of an action upon them, that enables us to 'predict' the future?

I personally would think that if I one day woke up with this that if I should use it for personal gain I would then loose it...
Gifts such as these should never be used for personal gain..

hmm...you have to wonder though if your 'third eye' is open are you really seeing the future?

the future is always changing. so how do you know if you really saw the future? are you making it all up? perhaps not but who can really know?

i don't know if i believe anything about a third eye.

but among my people there are those who can see things that can't be explained by what western society calls science.

take my young sister and i we dream things and they happen but nothing big

simply a conversation had in a dream is overheard or had in your waking hours or other such things.

I believe that the third eye is spiritual vision and opens up to the consciousness. It's like a tunnel but not physical.

i've been thinking more about this and i think that the term third eye is just something that bothers me

so yes if you must called it the third eye then third eye it is...

so on the statement i was going to make:
the third eye i think is spiritual vision but i don't think it is like a tunnel...

perhaps sometimes it is in that sometimes you are limited to what you see

Sorry I didn't finish...As for the awareness of consciousness I don't believe it's something you can will and I am just talking for myself here...It comes any time of day or night without thinking of it or having any kind of influence from anyone or anything. Perhaps there are ways to control it, but I haven't even looked into learning how to do that because I'm not sure that it is necessary to control it. It seems like once it has started theres no stopping it.

I don't think the 3rd eye is or would be used for this reason. This seems like something that would come from the deeper regions of the mind, areas unused. Foreseeing the future is an even combination of prophetic vision and imagination. The 3rd eye, to me, is just a tool used to link with other people.

That being said, if I woke up with this ability, I would see that it is up to translation. I would know that it isn't the definant future, that part was created by my own mind. Using this infomation could be bad, because I would be uncertain of what was true.

I know, Darkstarladybug, that is why I gave my explaination of what I would do with the ability. I am not a good writer, so for me to come up with what-if's I need to have some sort of belief in it, to get a good visualization. :)

Where ever the ability came from, I think waking up with the ability to see the future would be an incredible burden. It would be difficult not abuse it and it would be hard not to go crazy trying to change the future all the time. Maybe if it was something that came and went with out warning it would be easier to live with that way you wouldn't have to go around constantly pretty much knowing how things are going to turn out.

Stabb, I think I agree with you. Such as the proclaimation that if you know where an object is and what it is doing in one instance, you can know or calculate what it has done and will do.

So, the Third-Eye Opening, is simply the ability to take in the full capacity of what is going on around you, given to you. And if I were to possess such an ability I would use it to rule the world :D Or at least the Stock Market....

I really enjoy how Clix articulates things. I must say I have to agree with that. ON the other hand if I can see into the future I feel this would be extremely difficult especially when it comes to the thought should I share what I see with the people it affects or some how change the fate. That opens up a whole new can of worms when you start messing with ones fate.

Pardon me for posting again on this matter but I wanted to give a small example of what the third eye means to me and pretty much in a nutshell it's like being in the state of "no ego" a kind of realization of truth. I am only speaking for myself here .....it is an eye of true knowledge or infinite wisdom. its the blossoming of the soul, the cosmic mind...pure, clear, unconditioned, undisturbed and brings you to the state of always being awakened.

I don't think it works quite like that I don't think you wake up and theres like a non stop vision on the future about everything. I think it comes to you at will and anytime. Like an *idea* but when it happens then you know it's not just in your mind or just a thought influenced say by the news or other people.

I think there is always a huge danger in predicting the future. That danger being directing anothers life. I believe the future holds multiple possibilities not just one direct path and that by telling someone about a particular incident that comes up I think its important that you show the person that there are probabilities not just a direct path. If there is an impending accident that could be avoided, maybe we aren't meant to allow them to avoid that accident... there is black and white, and shades of grey in this area and care and forethought is needed before you say anything to anyone.

Just thought I would express my concerns on this :)

Yup agreed! I have just met a few that have been rather malicious in nature and used their abilities in the wrong manner...

And it takes a lot of effort to convince someone that thinks they are going to die on a certain day in a certain way that its not going to happen unless they are reckless enough for it to happen. Sigh! there are too many nasty people in the world....

I see now how one could like you say use it in a malicious manner, just by telling someone or giving them information about them as you have visioned it.... I would hope that someone that has been awaken in the third eye would not do such a thing. Just because to me it is a spiritual vision and just doesn't seem it would come to anyone with an evil nature. I could be wrong theres all sorts of possibilities

well i had my 3rd eye open ever since i was in elementary school until the death of my late grandmother 6 years ago in may. the only thing was it helped me saw what was to happen to only me couple of years which these days seem like i did them already. the only time i has these predictions when i slept and they felt so real to the point of it happening in real like on that day.

it got really bad when i predicted myself working at a video rental store and bumping into someone that i would end up dating though we broke up a while back ago.

im happy my 3rd eye is closed as i couldnt dare deal with seeing what is in store for me way into the future. nothing but drama and more heartache for me i can already plainly tell.

When a person attains such "power", it's all too easy to abuse it. Hopefully, when a person reaches that level of development, they learn control at the same time. Abusing power for personal gain and the control of others can have HEAVY karmic backlash...

The Problem with seeing into the future would be if you know what is going to happen you might want to just pack it all in and not continue at all..Nothing to look forward to..Many a show and movie has been done on this and well the end result has always been bad for the people with a gift like this..Life without know you have a sense of hope fro the future being a better place.....

Well Blackstarladybug

I am sorry you took my statement as an insult. I was merely fessing that I had to go and do something because I was afraid to do it, but I taked to Julia, and she said things happen in threes. So I did #2 on the 3rd day, and I had the most amazing experience which is completely related to the third eye.

Now the third eye you people are discussing and the third eye I have come to find the truth of are different.

In previous threads I have already gave the exact location of the third eye, but I see, the memory of people on this site is either bad or they don't believe I am on a collision course with truth.

The third eye is the center of the gemini, it is a Chakra spot called the AGNA, and it is located between the eyebrows just about.

If you think I am all about self promotion, then I would have mentioned that before, but I didn't, however what you people are discussing is a theoretical 3rd eye, and this is enough for now. If you people won't jump on me for being a stern schoolmaster then I will tell you about the most amazing experience I have ever had, and I think it is a once in a life time thing, too bad, it made female afterglow like a man passing a kidney stone the size of a bowling ball.

Be nice and I will share, or I will take it elsewhere.

It seems to me, that I use my third eye without even knowing it. I will see a story on the news (i.e. the missing CNET executive and his family) and know how it will turn out. But, the way that it comes to me is in a very vague vision kind of. So vague that I usually write it off as my mind wandering and dont say anything. But, when events do turn out, it feels more like deja vu than anything else.

It is very odd.

Ok. All joking aside...I don't honestly think I would use the ability to see the future. Just think of all the things you could dread if you knew they were about to happen. You couldn't live your life like that. For example, say you saw that someone you love was going to die. How could you live knowing it was about to happen and be powerless? I know. I'm a pessimist. *shrugs* I'd rather be just as ignorant as I am now. Ignorance is bliss, you know...

You know, I had to take B6 when I was pregnant and I'm not sure if it made my dreams more lucid or not. I had some really interesting dreams though, but I've heard that most pregnant women do. I wonder if that's a hormonal thing.

Ok. Back on the topic of the third eye... I said that I wouldn't want to know the future, but what if I had no choice? Hmmm... How would someone handle that gift? Or would it be considered a curse? Personally, I think it would drive me insane. Seriously. I'm not sure that I would be able to focus on the pros of the situation and would instead become obsessed with the cons and slowly drive myself crazy. OOOOO... What if I saw myself driving myself crazy? OMG... My head hurts.

La6Muerte66, you mention being able to prevent the death of a loved one, but...um...you can't prevent old age. So, just because you see someone growing old and dying doesn't mean that you have the power to stop it from happening. Eh, like I said...I'm a pessimist.

I'm definitely not a selfish person, but I have to be honest...if I could see the future and there were a way to help others and myself, you bet your ass I would. I would help anyone I could with the gift, because I'd consider it a GIFT.

It certainly might have some negative consequnces, but when you get right to it, all gifts do. That's why there are so many stoners in the world...far easier to do lie on the couch and make bongs out of the cleaning supplies than to get busy figuring out what to do with what you've been given, to take some risks.

Well, Misfit, let me ask you this: If something horrible was going to happen to a loved one, would you rather not know and have it happen, or would you rather know ahead of time and have the option of possibly preventing it? It's a weird situation, that different people would react to differently. I'd prefer to know...

B-6 gets iron up in the body for anemia.

B-5 for grey hair

OK well, my third eye, after some stimulating bodily experience, I laid down and

my god the after glow was incredible, all the pain emotional and physical limitations, to feel what I felt, my GAWD, um

there was like a golf ball sized thing that popped out of my lower forhead between the eyes, and it slid up inside the interior of the skull kinda slowly, and then got sucked into my soul. The soul is right ongtop of the division of the right hemi and the left hemisphere.

The feeling was you had to be there, I am sure it was a once in a life time thing, I was under the impression that it wouold happen everytime.

Now I end the trip, details later in my portfolio, my body will be back and so I said I would post pics then.

Okay, you do have a point there. But me personally, I already get feelings of something bad could happen. I don't want to know what that could be. True, I might be able to prevent it, as I once had that chance, but I didn't follow through for fear of being called a liar.

But you also have to look at it this way, if you knew that something bad could happen to your loved one, you would always look at them either:

1. They are already gone
or
2. They need to be overprotected

If I had the ability I would cherish it! Be glad I had it! You could prevent deaths fo some people that you seen. With the ones that died from old age, what if it was a relative that you haven't seen in a while, grown apart from. Knowing would give you the opportunity to say all the things you wish you could. I mean I've had a fairly good bit of family memebers die & there were alot of things I wished I had said or done. If it was a death you couldn't prevent, then get things right with yourself & them! That way you would have no regrets about things you didn't do! I think it would be a wonderful gift!

As for predicting the future, I'll admit the lottery or a few games of racing would be done to make sure my bills are all paid off quickly so I can start fresh, with my lover or the next one I will come across.

I'd also make sure my little sister is sound, and pay my parents back for their help. Then I'd use it to help others out on different scales--not go into business as it were, but take donations for the gift-- for incense use, and spiritual offerings to such a nice gift as it opening.

I've been getting more astral dream stuff as of late, probably should write it out again.

I'm thinking that the third eye is not only about having the gift of seeing the future but it is a whole along with clairvoyance and other heightened senses. Maybe when the 3rd eye awakens in us we have either one or more of these, maybe even all of them together. Perhaps we become very tuned in to everything and everyone of this earth...not to say that we look at someone and know thier future but only revealing for whatever needs to be seen. Why? I don't know.

If I woke up and my third eye was open, I'd simply try to use it to help the rest of the world. I dont really know what I would be able to do with it, but I'm sure to have a gift such as that I could change the world for the better. Some how.

I would like to share something with all of you and you don't have to believe me it's ok some people do some don't. It doesn't matter to me. I am very open and connected the only thing is that I don't share it with people because I want to find someone that is going through the same things as I am. I have seen things happen before they do only I have a big problem...I can't tell where it is??? I feel anxiety over it. My closest real friends and family are aware of this about me. And it has never come to me like just because I think about it....It comes to me in dreams or even during the day like a clear vision almost like a TV turning on. It's so hard to explain. But what I can do is tell you that I don't wish it..it just happens. Same as with people I don't see things about everyone but only some and at the oddest times and even about people I don't know that I might just be passing up in the street or something. Now that is harder to believe for the obvious ..how do I know what I see is actually going to happen to this person? I only believe it because it happens in the same way it does with someone I do know.

Raziel, one could eventually open the third eye by pursuing disciplined study under a master and developing it under professional guidance, or it can be accomplished much more slowly with meditation and self-observance...

I'd have to agree that having yoru 3rd eye permanently open would pretty much be classified as "Enlightenment"

Thus with such power over yourself, you shouldn't just "wake up with it".

Probably better if you attain it through work.

I would consider using mine to prevent catastophe, or major event that would cause death, pain or damage to ppl. I would try to prevent, but still only by advising and not intervine directly, I mean not I wont take any means necessairies, I will still leave the outcome to the ppl involve as if they decid to go forward with the project of path they choose, I will advise but not make the move for them.

My life changed when I spent so much time with my best friend before she passed, she had leukemia. We were 5 yrs. old I would go and play with her and brush her hair and dance for her when she asked. It's been strange for me..I am not educated in this at all, I guess the coping for me has come through meditation. It's sort of lonely because I don't find many people who know what I am experiencing, so I keep it to myself.

Misfit, perhaps there is an energy blockage or something similar in your third eye? Many if not most medical conditions can be attributed to poor energy health.

There's a vast amount of resources available online if you really want to learn it. I think this discussion is pulling the thread off-topic, so message me if you would like to continue. lol.

And to feebly attempt to pull the thread back on topic, I found a lovely meditation for the third eye know as Trakata. Look it up, I guess, since I can't remember for the life of me where I found it.

To answer the original question at hand.... I believe that if I found I had the power to see the future I would never use it. I do not believe man is intended to know his future. I do believe that this would be his ruin. I am happy letting life take its turns without my knowledge.

I would probably only use it when there was something worth using it for. For example, my mom has systemic lupus erythmatosis...I would probably look ahead into the future to predict if/when she would/could relapse so that it could be prevented. Stuff like that.
